Sheridan

My parents, Pat and Allen, recently stayed at the Sheridan for a long weekend and had the best time. They said the hotel was exceptionally clean, and the breakfast was amazing. They also mentioned that Jo was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always willing to go the extra mile. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The only slight downside was that the location was a little further away from where they wanted to be, and my dad struggled a bit with his legs after a full day of walking around the area. That said, they thoroughly enjoyed their stay and would 100% recommend the hotel to others.

It was a little further afield than they would have liked 🙂, but that's no fault of the hotel. It's been years since they last visited Scarborough, so we'll definitely do a bit more research on the location next time. Despite that, they had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

It was perfectly positioned for all the attractions, close to the sea. The band b was very good and Jo was lovely host. Very helpful and always greeted you with a smile.

The hosts are excellent, very friendly and helpful. The location is great for North Bay and Open Air Theatre. The room was comfortable and breakfast was well cooked and plentiful.

Parking is difficult throughout Scarborough. No lift and narrow staircase which may cause problems for some guests.

There was a good choice for breakfast & the cooked breakfast was served very promptly. The hotel was in an excellent location for Peasholm Park & the North Bay. The owners were very friendly & helpful.

The place is spotless, the location was ideal with parking available. The host was very nice and helped with directions. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The breakfast was well cooked with plenty of choice.

Jo was very friendly and welcoming. Room wad spotlessly clean, and little touches like toiletries a plus . Breakfast wad beautiful great choice from full English to butties. Poached eggs were 👌.

The breakfast was amazing!! Lots of choice and well cooked. Location was perfect for the concert we attended on the Monday night.

Bin could have been emptied more regularly and tea and coffee could have been filled up more regularly.

Good breakfast, all the usual options available. Jo was friendly and happy to help. Basic room but the bed was comfortable. Happy to have a small fan in my room as it was very warm whilst I was there. Good location for the Open air venue and North Bay attractions.

Room was clean and well kept, comfortable bed, good storage, and a small but functional, well-maintained bathroom — exactly what I’d expect. Staff were friendly and accommodating, let me check in early, and sorted a space in the small driveway car park. Lots of trust shown — given keys to the front door and room. Payment is handled via card through Booking.com, so no cash needed.

Nothing significant — car park is small, but that’s a minor point.

Traditional B&B. Great location. Lovely breakfast. Nice host.

Breakfast was good with a choice of yoghurt, cereal and fruit + full English and toast. Slightly cramped dining room. Location approx. 20 minutes from the harbour and South beach but near the park and north beach. Lovely room - on first impression noisy from traffic but this died down at night, so no problem. And a fan, as well as television, hair dryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Excellent Indian restaurant just up the road!

Jo and her family were extremely accommodating and communicated really well . I’d recommend it and would return .

Lovely B&B with friendly hosts in a great location. Close to bus stops for Whitby, filey, Bridlington and the Sourh bay. Lovely choice for breakfast and very tasty.

The place was fantastic, rooms were comfortable, well ventilated and well kept. The price was phenomenal and way below what I’d be willing to pay! We’d pay more! The staff were absolutely lovely too and could not do enough to help us! Breakfast was delicious too!

This is my second stay here. Is a gem of a place to stay and host is fab. Room was spotless and clean with very comfortable beds and an excellent breakfast. Free parking and fab central location to everything will definitely stay here again.

Extremely friendly and welcoming, room was ok, suited our needs and breakfast was lovely and very flexible with the choices. Good location for a nice few days exploring.

Room could do with more sockets, there were only 2 already used. Pillows could be a bit better, but we managed perfectly well.

Very cosy, clean and family run hotel. My room was on the first floor, newly decorated and had everything I needed, tea & coffee making facilities, hair dryer, good size TV, towels and complimentary toiletries. Amazing breakfast, selection was brilliant, fruit juice, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, full cooked breakfast, toast with assorted jams and marmalade even marmite if you wanted, tea and coffee, basically anything you wanted you could have. Brilliant location for North Bay, open air theatre, Peasholme park, walking distance to Marine Drive, 10 minutes if that. Would definitely recommend this hotel 10/10

Great breakfast, loverly couple, central loc.

We were booked at Fern Cottage Scalby in March, for this time, however, we were informed less than 5 hours to arrival our booking was cancelled by the owner! We will NEVER consider booking this propery again! We feel the owner had a better offer for these dates, and if its happened once it WILL happen to some one else!! Beware!!!

A little bit cramped. But I'm not complaining

I liked everything: the hospitality, my room, it had everything I needed, breakfast.

The only thing that didn't work for me was that the windows of my wonderful room faced the road and it didn't let me sleep well. But that's probably because I'm a pretty sensitive sleeper. Everything else was great.

I arrived by train and found the Sheridan pretty easily - it was about a 20-minute walk. I arrived earlier than expected but was able to drop off my suitcase. Breakfast was good and my room was warm (the heating wasn't on) and bright - on the second floor which I didn't mind.

My only comment would be that the bathroom area is a bit tight - the sink too small to realistically fill a kettle - but understandable and, given the space available, I was very satisfied.
