Great hotel everything as expected - only down side was the cost to park my car should be included up front

Didnt feel like a 5 star, more of a UK 3 star but it was fine. Clean. Gym could do with a revamp and dinner menu was poor

I recently stayed at Hotel in Troia | The Editory By The Sea, and I am very disappointed. This hotel claims to be 5 stars, but in my experience, it deserves no more than 3 or 4 stars. The facilities are in poor condition. The pool is especially concerning; it's old, dirty, and unsafe. Both the children's and adults' pools have loose tiles, posing a significant risk, especially for children who could easily get injured. In fact, my husband cut his finger on a raised tile in the lobby, and the staff did nothing about it. The food quality is disappointing. The menu never changes, and the food offered is monotonous. Additionally, the staff's inability to speak English is surprising for a supposed 5-star establishment. The cleanliness of the rooms is also a major issue. The room was not cleaned properly, sometimes the trash bins were not emptied, the bathrooms were not cleaned, and the beds were just made. The phone in the room didn't work to communicate with the reception, and the internet was terrible. Despite bringing these issues to the attention of the reception staff, nothing was done to resolve them. Do not be deceived by the 5-star rating. This hotel falls far short of those standards. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Fizemos early check in sem problemas. Chegamos mais cedo e já tinham o quarto pronto e deixaram-nos entrar. Perto da praia, muito sossegado. Apanhamos um fim de semana de sol e bom para usufruir do melhor de Tróia. A praia e as caminhadas pela areia que sabem sempre bem em pleno Novembro. Não dou 5 estrelas de overall devido ao pequeno almoço. Não são organizados, a variedade para um hotel de 5 estrelas deixa muito a desejar. Acho que para um hotel de 5 estrelas o pequeno almoço tem muito a melhor, a começar na organização da sala e dos trabalhadores. Na parte da seleção que temos de comida para o pequeno almoço, acho que para o que se paga e sendo 5 estrelas poderiam e deviam ter melhor oferta. Mas no geral gostamos da estadia.

Bom nível de limpeza e conforto. Foram céleres na resolução das situações que se foram apresentando. A equipa é jovem e simpática contudo denota-se a inexperiência. Felizmente existem funcionários que resolvem. Pequeno almoço Bom. A cozinha equipa com o necessário.

The Editory by the Sea is in a great location on the eastern side at the top of the Troia peninsula. Very good service in the hotel, all the staff helpful. Our room was classed as an apartment, however it was really a big - ish bedroom with a sink and basic cooking facilities. But for what we wanted it was ideal, comfy bed, good shower, good WiFi, balcony with a great view overlooking the Sado estuary (on the east side of the hotel). Clean and well maintained. The food was very good, excellent breakfast, apart from the coffee from the flasks, I would recommend you ask for a coffee from the machine. We ate dinner here twice and it was very good. The location is about 200mtrs from the passenger ferry to Setubal, which is a fun thing to do for an evening in Setubal. Also walking distance from a really lovely beach. There is limited parking unless you choose to park underground at 9€ a day, we went in May and the only time we couldn't park in the car park was at the weekend. The troia mariner is again about 200mtrs, it has a few bars and restaurants, some of which hadn't as yet opened for the summer, good views out over the bay. Some of the other buildings in Troia are somewhat stark ie the conference centre and casino so it is slightly unusual architecturally but otherwise a great location.

O hotel tem excelentes condições. A piscina exterior e sobretudo a piscina interior são ideias para quem viaja em familia. O restaurante é agradável apesar da carta ser aglo limitada para quem viaja com crianças. Os funcionários são bastante simpaticos mas notou-se alguma inexperiencia em muitos deles. O quarto tinha vista para o mar e tinha todas as comodidades desejadas, incluindo frigorifico com congelador, e uma kitchenette bem equipada. Os três pontos negativos que encontramos: 1) A porta de entrada do quarto estava desalinhada, deixando entrar demasiada luz dentro do quarto durante a noite. Para piorar a situação, as luzes do corredor permanecem ligadas 24h por dia. 2) Existe demasiado ruido branco no quarto provocado por tubagens de água. Durante toda a noite é possível ouvir água a correr, como se alguém estivesse a tomar banho no piso de cima. 3) o AC não estava ligado, ou se estava ligado não era regulável pelo interior do quarto.

Bon hotel mais ne vaut pas ces 5 étoiles. La climatisation ne fonctionne pas, petit déjeuner moyen état général un peu délabré. Plages magnifiques mais attention tou est fermé en dehors de la saison d’été.

Place is amazing. But the room was broken (safe not working, drain, telephone). Despite repeated efforts to get things resolved in a relatively vacant hotel, the staff never did anything nor tried to communicate to inform.

Great place to stay for a few days, close to the beach and nice staff. Too bad however that they did not replace simple things at breakfast such as black tea for consecutive days.

We were quite disappointed about the experience, all was ok but nothing was quite right Check in : the desk can’t cope with the number of people at the time , as usually are families the situation gets quite noise , large and tedious, be prepare to access any time after 16,30..... Bed mattress need to be replaced, the have a long live Bathroom is a mystery how to get out hold the bath not having to jump over the vanities !! Location and view is a plus , if you book for sea apartment view !’ As mentioned , quite basic , under expectations for sure !!

We liked the hotel in general and we had a very nice and spacious room, with a perfect view. But on the other hand we did not like the breakfast at all - besides the coffee which was good. No choice of cheese, no vegetables, the scrambled eggs were hardly eatable, and the juices were all way too sweet. We never had such a disappointing breakfast in a 4 star hotel.

A quite modern development, but to us it lacked charm and traditions. The beaches are great, and the restaurants in Troia are OK. The hotel/apartment building is well equipped, but not very charming.

La habitación limpia y bonita aunque mirando hacia Setúbal y no hacia el atlántico. Una pena que solo cuente con 6 camareras para limpiar los 17 pisos, ya que no pueden hacerlo bien, sin morir en el intento. Maita y Ricardo

Hotel choisi pour un weekend prolongé en famille avec un enfant d'un an et demi. Hotel super agréable, personnel super accueillant, équipements adaptés a un séjour avec des enfants en bas age, les environs de hotel sont super bien entretenus, l'accès a la plage est facile, mais demande bien 10 min de marche. Piscine extérieure et intérieure sont super agréables surtout avec les conditions météo qui n'ont pas été les meilleures. Beaucoup d'activités pour adultes mais surtout pour des enfants. Petit déjeuner et repas (midi à la carte et buffet le soir) sont juste excellents a des prix très raisonnables. Seul point moins positif, l'entretien de la chambre laissait un peu a désirer avec le sol de la chambre gonflé nous étions incapables de fermer la porte de la chambre...assez embêtant pour la sieste et soir du petit.

Zeer comfortabel appartement met een kwaliteits inrichting en inventaris. Vanaf de hogere verdiepingen een fenomenaal uitzicht over de baai bij Setubal.

Underbar havsutsikt, fin lägenhet, trevlig personal och lugn miljö. Ett bra mercado alldeles nära. Förutom en nästan tom milslång sandstrand men med läskiga strömmar, finns trevliga restauranger vid hamnen. Kunde inte testa 18-hålsbanan.

Hôtel très sympa nous avions deux chambres plus un salon. Seul bémol la propreté de l appartement au niveau de la cuisine, nous avons retrouvé des bout de verre. La moquette est un peu sale.

Exaustor a trabalhar até as 22h30 e bastante incomodativo. Assim como o barulho do frigorífico. Entrada demasiada luz no quarto, o cortinado não vedava o suficiente.

Correu tudo lindamente. Foram super simpaticos e atenciosos. O apartamento excelente.

Dommage que la piscine intérieur soit d'eau froide. Obligé d'aller dans l'autre hôtel (Aqualuz praia) pour avoir des animations ou de l'ambiance.

A estadia foi ótima! O hotel é muito confortável e a higiene impecável. Contudo na parte da piscina tem um bar e nunca tem lá ninguém! As crianças querem gelado e não podem.

Hotel com serviço de qualidade. Preço elevado, mas como estamos no verão, palpita-me que a concorrência seja similar. Mas Troia, é sempre uma maravilha!

Проблемы с заездом, задержали заселение на 2 часа. При выезде пытались выставить счёт за использование подземного паркинга, которым мы при этом не пользовались.

Espaço muito limpo e agradável para se viver uns dias em familia. Bom espaço Boa varanda com uma vista magnífica. Gostamos e vamos repetir.

A estadia foi agradável contudo, não existia estacionamento conforme publicitado no site no acto da reserva, só mediante pagamento.

Atendimento exemplar, com toda a gente muito simpática e eficiente. Foi a minha segunda visita a este hotel e, com certeza, outras se seguirão.

Os estúdios são bons, mas é pena que as camas não tenham mesa de cabeceira. A recepção do hotel atendeu ao nosso pedido especial e foi sempre muito prestável. A estadia foi, no geral, muito positiva. Fomos num fim de semana de época baixa o que se revelou muito tranquilo. Achamos, no entanto, que os preços são um pouco elevados tendo em conta a altura do ano e as condições gerais da estadia (sem pequeno-almoço incluído, por exemplo).

Troia is niet leuk vergeleken met de rest van Portugal.

Estadia por tudo relacionado com a localização foi óptima. Pela relação preço/Apartamento achei caro, pelo facto de o apartamento 803 necessitar remodelações. ( chão visivelmente deteriorado). Pelo serviço limpeza, não em conformidade, porque não efectuaram a limpeza e lavagem da loiça e não acrescentaram produtos de higiene na casa de banho para segunda noite da estadia. Nada mais a acrescentar.

Schöne große Zimmer, gutes Essen in den Restaurants an der Marina und ein schöner Strand.

We planned to stay for a week and left after 2 days! On the first day of arriving I received a parking ticket as I went to check in. On the second day I got a parking fine because it was not clear that the bay I was using was a doctor's parking place. This was the worst deal I've had in Portugal. What you get is a 3 star hotel at most with cheap furniture, no facilities in the hotel. You have to track to the other side of resort, it's sister hotel for pool and sauna that close at 9pm, that is if you manage to get a towel before 7pm and a locker key that is never available. The staff is not rude just unhelpful. I was relieved to escape this resort. The manager did help to cancel one of the parking fines. However, it did not help I lost so much time and effort dealing with tickets. I was woken up every morning by the deliveries just below the balcony, which also had no view whatsoever. I am not surprised that there were no other nationalities I can see other than Portuguese and French. Avoid at all costs, even if it is the last available place in Portugal!
