Great location, perfect for visiting other areas around Loch Lomond. Drymen is a lovely little place, nice n quiet with a small number of pubs and places to eat.

Staff service and help was excellent. Message sent through agency clearly never reached the hotel at the time I placed the reservation, but they met a request at short notice. Staff where extremely friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean and comfortable The evening meal was slightly undercooked and the breakfast very pleasant .

The facilities were perhaps dated even though they could be described as with character, really don't think they had changed since I was there 40 years ago.

The room was comfortable although a little dated. We enjoyed having a bath. Our room was next to the road but the sound proofing was really good.

The food we had in the hotel restaurant wasn’t particularly good. There were other better options close by though.

Byliśmy na trekkingu, więc wygodne łóżko było bardzo na plus po dłuższej wędrówce. Pokoje ładne, przestronne, dobrze wyposażone. Podobnie łazienka (my mieliśmy prysznic, znajomi wannę). Dostępna restauracje, ale z niej nie korzystaliśmy, więc się nie wypowiem.

Hotel jest piękny, ale budynek stary i to niezły labirynt, co nam trochę utrudniało przemieszczanie się z dużymi plecakami.

The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was huge. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great!

The Winnock is unhurried and has clearly been the centre of all activity in Drymen for many years. The food and drink offering is good. The entertainment in the bar, certainly on the Friday night we were there, is infectious good fun. The rooms are classic good solid hotel rooms. Not flashy but comfortable. Breakfast was efficiently friendly and generous.

Don't stay here if you value a quiet sleep. No soundproof in the rooms, every step in the hallway is heard and we were told there was live music in the bar from 9-12 which was actually karaoke and heard through the whole hotel. The room is clean and spacious but the shower only had a fixed waterfall head which doesn't suit everyone.

Lovely, old hotel next to Loch Lomond. Ideal as a base for hiking trips. We enjoyed our stay and the excellent food they served in the bar.

The windows in our room were very old and wouldn't stay open to get fresh air.

The evening meal was wholesome, tasty and filling. The staff who worked in the bar were really friendly and helpful. However, breakfast was even better. I think it was the best full Scottish breakfast I've ever had. The bedroom was really good.

The breakfast buffet was average but not none staff came to offer coffee which was the only way to obtain it. As selections ran out, no one refilled the choices.

Lage im Zentrum. Sehr gute Ausstattung.

Zimmer lag direkt über der Bar. Dort gab es am Abend unserer Übernachtung Livemusik bis Mitternacht, sodass an Schlaf nicht zu denken war. Wir hätten uns gewünscht, vorab darüber informiert worden zu sein, dann hätten wir nach einem ruhigeren Zimmer fragen können. Ein spontaner Wechsel war auf Nachfrage leider nicht möglich.

Ens va encantar l'atenció del personal. El The Winnock Hotel té molt d'encant, està ben situat i el tracte del personal és molt amable. Ens va agradar l'estada i va ser un molt bon punt de partida per la nostra ruta per Escòcia.

Cannot. Believe this is owned by the same people that own the Buchanan arms (see my other review) friendly helpful staff and great breakfast. Comfortable spacious modern room. And I paid £10 a night less for this room than the Buchanan arms.

I requested rooms together, but we were on different floors. Unfriendly welcome from girl on reception on arrival. Carpet in room was very dirty. Tea facilities were unwashed in room.

Das Hotel ist schon in die Jahre gekommen und eher altmodisch, z. B. ließen sich unsere Fenster nicht schließen, im innenliegenden Bad gab es keine Lüftung. Das Personal, besonders am Empfang, war nicht besonders freundlich. Das Frühstück war mittelmäßig und es wurde nicht nachgelegt. Das Hotel wird von vielen Wandergruppen aufgesucht.

Comfortable and handy to all we needed for our overnight stay. Loved the nearby pub and bakery.

There was some corridor noise but that didn’t bother us too much.

We were given room 11 at the entrance to the second floor by the hotel. The windows of the room face the kitchen chimney. The room is filled with the smell of frying and cooking to the point of nausea. It was not possible to stay in this room and we had to move to an alternative accommodation. They should give us full refund .In the photos I took when we entered the room (late evening), you can clearly see the kitchen chimney right in front of the window.

Nice hotel appearance, easy check-in, ample parking around the back, and reasonably priced food at the bar.

​Room smelled overwhelmingly of spoiled milk upon arrival. ​We were forced to leave the window wide open all night, which did not remove the smell and exposed us to constant, loud traffic noise from the road directly outside. ​Reception offered no apology. They claimed the hotel was fully booked (despite a fairly empty car park) and only offered a basic room service, which would not resolved odour at all. Unacceptable quality of sleep. Fine for an emergency stopover if you have no choice, but the lack of staff accountability and terrible room odor ruined the experience.

We had two rooms, a dog friendly family room and a small double room. The small double room was lovely, very clean, new bathroom etc. The family room quite dated and didn’t feel particularly clean. (Aside from bedding and towels).

De kamer rook muf. Vieze vloerbedekking. Zelfs het plafond was vies. Leken wel twee grote plassen op het plafond. De badkamer stonk, geen afzuiging. Veel pleisterwerk om het nog wat te laten lijken. Wc bril die los zit en goedkoop plastic. Overal is op bezuinigd. Laken had schimmelachtige vlekken. Volgende ochtend zie ik dat de house keeping "schone" handdoeken op de vloerbedekking in de gang legt. Dit kan toch anders .. Voor het ontbijt moet je bijna 5 minuten wachten voordat je een tafel toegewezen krijgt. Te weinig personeel. Ik zou zeggen. Met gierende banden een ander hotel zoeken.

Il luogo presenta molte camere raggiungibili tramite scalinate, ma ho compreso che è la tipologia di alberghi in scozia ad essere così. Con un bimbo piccolo e trolley non è il massimo. La struttura non era pulitissima,la maniglia della finestra era rotta, ma hanno provveduto subito a risolvere. Lo consiglio per soggiorni brevi se avete bagagli molto pesanti e bimbi piccoli

Er zit schimmel in de badkamer Het bed schud zodanig dat als je partner zich omdraait jij zeker wakker bent Het ontbijt is niet slecht, maar het personeel loopt elkaar in de weg, daardoor komt alles in omgekeerde volgorde van bestelling op tafel.

Lovely hotel, which is surprisingly a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked.

The only problem was there were a couple of coach parties in and they had entertainment in the room below our room, so it was very noisy until nearly 12 midnight

Stayed at the Winnock Hotel in Drymen as part of a coach tour with Elfyn Thomas Tours. Hotel was excellent with lovely choice of menu and beautifully cooked and presented. Entertainment was fantastic and the staff were just second to none. Nothing was too much trouble and really made us all welcome. Rooms were spotless and very comfortable. We will definitely go back here again.

Nice location and pretty, good food

The hotel was very noisy with a lot of sound coming through the door and a lot of noise from creaky floorboards on the room above. In the morning, there was no hot water in the shower.

Nice location and handy for wedding we were attending. A captured market I suppose, given that it is a popular stop off on the West Highland Way.

Only 1 towel and 1 cup provided in the room. As we were late back, I had to go to bar to get an extra cup and luckily there were spare towels lying on the floor in corridors.

Es war sauber und interessant, weil es im Grunde ein riesiges Hotel ist mit 100 Zimmern, sehr verwinkelt, was man aber zunächst gar nicht wahrnimmt.

Es war im Prinzip ok, aber auch sehr Basic und recht in die Jahre gekommen.

Comfortable hotel, easy to find. Plenty of options for food nearby and there is a little Spar opposite for essentials. Parking was ok for our visit but I can see that at times it won’t be big enough and there are limited options for parking nearby. There is a large area designated for coaches which had cars in it the first night we stayed. It is a big hotel with a fair number of rooms and has had multiple extensions over the years. Staff were friendly but some rooms are a bit of a trek from reception and up and down multiple half flights of stairs. Getting our luggage to our room was a challenge. There are fire exits to some areas and these are perhaps the better way to get to the car park more quickly. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Bathroom was ok but fittings are a little older and it was a bit of a challenge to achieve a comfortable temperature.

One bug bear of mine I noticed was that the cleaning staff opted to leave clean linen and towels on the floor in high traffic parts of the hallway in readiness of making up the rooms. I appreciate it likely saves them time but these are areas where people are in and out in their shoes and honestly I wouldn’t be happy to have a “clean” towel that had spent hours Sat on a dirty carpet…reality is I probably did though.

Easy check-in, secure parking, rooms were spacious and comfortable. The Merlin restaurant was good quick food at great value. The breakfast gives a new meaning to a full scottish

Check in und Check out waren problemlos und schnell. Das Zimmer schön groß und komfortabel. Frühstück und Abendessen waren gut.

Badezimmer ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Ein Zimmer war nicht so sauber geputzt, unser Sohn hat dann lieber bei uns geduscht. Leider wurde der Zustand trotz Hinweis nicht mehr behoben. Kann aber auch daran liegen, dass wir erst um 18 Uhr ankamen.

Kleines Hotel mit schottischem Charme und integriertem Pub in der Nähe von Loch Lomond.

Einrichtung und Zimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise aber völlig ok.

The food in the bar/restaurant was better than expected! Staff was helpful, loaned us an adaptor for a NorthAmerican plug. Pillows and sheets were great.

The carpets are worn, a bit dirty looking (or just appeared that way from wear) and the bed wasn't very comfortable. Felt like a spring was poking me in the side. Slept well the first night and not so well the second night.

Wij moesten een tafel in het restaurant reserveren omdat het erg druk zou worden. Er waren totaal 3 tafels van de ongeveer 40 bezet. Behoorlijk verkeerd advies. Het houtwerk buiten dat wij vanuit onze kamer zagen was heel erg slecht. Geen reclame voor het hotel.

A rather large hotel, but all the staff we met were so welcoming and nice from reception and bar to cleaning staff! So we really enjoyed our stay at the Winnock.

Draymans Hotel is a nice looking establishment with good bar and restaurant room is very small but it is an old building perfect place to start the Rob Roy Way or carry on on the West Highland Way

Was clean enough but its tired looking needs alot of replacements. Also being above the bar there was live music. All well and good if its something you want to be part of but if thats the case you would sit in the bar it continued to well after midnight. No heads up in advance.

Decor, very poor furnishings , grubby dirty carpets , extremely grubby dirty patio area and chairs, unusable . Greasy breakfast and cold chewy toast that obviously had been lying g out. Did ask for fresh and received it

La struttura è molto carina, come da foto. Pulita e affaccia in una piazza dove c’è un pub fantastico. In realtà sotto l’hotel c’è un pub dove se c’è bel tempo puoi goderti le birre in un bel giardino.
