Looking for accommodation in the area yesterday. Looked at rates and availability then phoned the hotel directly as I always do. ……. So far so good! When I requested best rate I was told the hotel is closed!!!!! Why on earth does a hotel close but also offer rates etc on the internet. Would you please stop wasting my time and money. Remove your internet presence and tell the truth. Disgusting Have you informed Tourism Ireland? Or do you even care?
This was a beautiful hotel and the scenery was perfect Our rooms were very comfortable and clean. Towels and sheets cleaned every alternate day. Nice big rooms and nice to have a kettle with come teabags. Can't leave home without the tea. Food was lovely here and I would highly recommend it. Nice for great photography shots. Again we stayed there in Jan of 2019 but I can't get back that far. But on having other friends stay there it appears to be the same in the hotel and with the friendly staff.
Didn’t love the food at the restaurant- had the special - way overcooked pork and undercooked veg
Love this place. Recommend fully with no complaints. Charming, clean, welcoming home-like atmosphere. Great stay.
I booked my room with a hotel view and instead I got a view of tall uncut grass over looking a storage shed for toilets. Really??
Very comfy, very clean room. Noisy residents in the next room, but that is not the hotel's fault. All worth when you wake up and see the sea in the morning. Was able to work from here too, the wifi is good. Its a little out of Sligo town, but there is a bus, and the location really lovely. I would recommend
Bedroom spacious and clean as was the bathroom.View from the bedroom was spectacular to say the least.Staff were very friendly and very professional.Would recommend this hotel to everybody as it is very reasonably priced for the service provided.
I was very disappointed with my stay. I informed the hotel when booking that I was a Coeliac and would like Gluten Free Food. When we checked in I told them again. When we went to dinner on the 1st night it took about 20 minutes before they finally were able to tell me they could poach fish for me and veg which when it arrived was cold. On the 2nd night it took the waitress about 4 trips to the kitchen t come back and tell me I could have beef or turkey & ham I ordered the turkey & ham. When it arrived it had stuffing in the middle so when I asked was it Gluten Free they again had to go to the kitchen to be told oh no its not. I then complained that its not good enough that I be treated like this as this was the 4th time I had asked for Gluten Free but yet they had not met my expectations. I could not believe in this day and age that I could as a Coeliac be treated in such a way. When I asked to speak with the Manager we were told there was no manager on duty either Friday or Saturday night??? Is this the way to run a business in such times. We try and support local but this is the thanks we get. The hotel even though its old is in quite good condition and the staff that were on duty except for the male supervisor on both evenings were all very nice. I then had to travel into Sligo to get a fab Gluten Free Pizza at Bistro Bianconi which I would highly recommend!
The room was clean, food in restaurant very average. We founded hard to sleep for the noise, but that’s more about lack of manners and not the hotel’s fault
We had an absolutely fantastic time at the Yeats Hotel. Set in beautiful surroundings with lots to do in the area. The customer service could not have been better! Will definitely be back.
The hotel staff were very helpful and it was very clear that the safety of guests was priority. However a few tables outside or a coffee dock would have enabled people to sit in small family groups for short periods to relax. There was no facility to get a soft drink or a coffee outside of having a meal.
Hotel well maintained and very clean. The staff were plesant and helpful. It would have been nice to have had the option to.get a cup.of tea or soft drink during the day without having to buy a meal..
Very dated hotel. Nice location but the pictures look nothing like the place itself. The room and bathroom were very old fashioned and clearly not updated in at least 20 years. Wouldn’t be rushing back at all.
Receptionist were too slow, 2 behind the counter but yet only checked in 1 guest at a time , only breakfast time available was 8am, no information about local activities , no hotel book in room , accommodation was very basic , no kettle in room , no iron
Great hotel with great service, stayed on a midweek business trip and will stay again, 10 minute drive from Sligo town.
Our second time to stay in this ideal hotel. The staff are absolutely lovely and so accommodating. The room was massive and had two double beds, so we had one each lol, seriously comfy bed. Superb value and ideal location, we will be back very soon
Fantastic Family spa break Band on every night spa deals double seaweed bath €45 great Family sized room easy walking distance to everywhere I love it can’t wait to go back & Martina on front desk
Good hotel, nice breakfast Close to golf course Good food
Beautiful location, stunning scenery - comfortable room BUT one of the worst breakfast ever encountered in an Irish hotel. Have to wonder do the management care at all about the quality of the food they dish out in the morning - I would be embarrassed.
The room smelt. The bath shower was grime. The taps in bathroom were grumpy and bad limescale on. It takes five second to clean them with a cloth. Check in was not pleasant. The location was nice. The foreign man on the evening shift was great. The bar was good. The lattes were nice.
Very pleasant stay
Is very nice hotel overlooking motion and next door to a lovely golf course. There were great restaurants and bars nearby
Excellently catered for families
Nice relaxing few days. Comfortable. Nice, helpful staff. Fine facilities. Good food at reasonable prices. Relaxing lounge and bar in the evening
We have stayed at this hotel before and it continues to provide. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Its a family friendly hotel with a great kids club .The room was clean .and house keepin kindly kept it that way during our stay also. We will definitly return in the neqr future
If you like kids screaming to and down the corridor and loud live music blaring as you sleep this is the place for you.
Good food. Friendly staff. Magnificent views. Close to tourist attractions W B Yeats grave , Ben Bulben, Lisadell House.
The staff were exceptional especially the reception ladies! The pool was also great and the food was excellent.
Had a great time here, lots to do and staff friendly and definitely be back
Hotel in a lovely location. Food really good. This is a super hotel for children. Great kids club. As pensioners maybe wouldn’t stay again just because there’s so many kids everywhere. I would still recommend this hotel. We did still enjoy our stay.
Great location 5 mins from a beautiful beach, very friendly & helpful staff. Rooms are a little dated but adequate. Great bar. Very family oriented.
Absolutely amazing stay! Staff are really friendly. The kids club they have during summer in excellent and they also have a sensory room and the staff working there are Amazing
Nice “out of town” stop by the water. Sligo city centre only a short drive away.
Luxurious spa hotel. Friendly, courteous service. Great facilities. Spacious, quiet bedroom.
Great hotel in a fantastic location. Room was big for family room. Nice food. Staff friendly. Only issue(and not really issue) asked member of staff where the pool was and she said she didn't know, which found strange and never went to find out. Also when went to restaurant was told they'd have set up table for us it felt like it was going to he too much trouble they made no effort try to do it. Reception staff very welcoming. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
very friendly staff and decor really relaxing and very comfortable
Superb staff who were attentive and very helpful. Great location and spacious room
Perfect place to stay if playing golf in Rosses - the course is just across the road. Lovely setting, nice town.
Was happy with my stay only negative is no sky sports or bt sport
Excellent great atmosphere staff so helpful and friendly and in a beautiful location great place to relax and de-stress I certainly will be back . Great places to visit near by Strandhill great costal walks if you are a walker
Nice quiet location. They're working on renovation so soon it will look cleaner. Builders are doing poor job though so it looks cheap. Unfortunately the house keeping is poor, we were the for 4 nights and our room hasn't been hovered nor the bathroom was cleaned. We kept asking for extra towels as they are very small but never got them. The towels we had were old and stained. The hotel smells like old fish, especially during dinner time. Sauna and jacuzzi didn't work, steam room smelled like mould. The lockers at the pool were the filthiest we've ever seen.
Room was lovely Staff was so nice The kids club was great They children loved it They swimming pool was great when we had a wet day they children spent nearly all day in the pool
Go for the kids club alone! They’ll collect them for breakfast and it runs until 10.30pm!
I loved this place and its facilities. The only down was WiFi not being available to use in my room- to keep up with family and planning my trips out the next day. Saying that I did enjoy the bar area where I enjoyed good food and passing hospitality- nothing was too much trouble to make me feel at home. I used the spa and very much enjoyed the seaweed bath and a relaxing neck, back and shoulder massage. Also used the swimming pool- most days it is used for swimming lessons- but a lane was available for hotel customers- so did my laps to keep me fit!! And engulfed in the jacuzzi bath. The open fire in the bar area was a pleasure to see- maybe a bit hot for me to sit at but very pleasant. There was also plenty of parking just outside. My room had a good view out over Rosses Point and I could keep a good eye on the weather.
Very disappointing and not what I was expecting first impressions count, clearly the hotel staff didn’t think so ! The hotel was dated and looked like it needed a good scrub. The housekeeping staff left all the dirty bedding/towels and their carts outside the room we were staying in and the mattress definitely needed replacing. Would not stay here again especially given the location of the hotel
The room was average size and clean. Breakfast wasn’t included so we paid extra for it which was served to 10.30am. We had been at a wedding so came down about 10.00am there was no fresh fruit left, we had to ask for tea service was quite poor. I cannot comment on the Spa as I didn’t use it.
Hotel was grand but the bar food wasn't. Breakfast was fine.
Relaxing and enjoyable
Convenient for Dligo and beach - friendly staff. Character - seavirws
very helpful front desk, recently refurbished rooms, great!
My family looked at me as if I had two heads when we pulled up to the hotel. Once inside and entering our room, the tune was changing. Room was a large family oom, with 3 proper and comfy beds. Checked out the swimming pool next and tune had completely changed, as comments went best hotel swimming pool ever. This is a family hotel with lots of kids, and that is what they seem to cater for.
Stay of verý short duration . I noted that it seemed to bde very popular with families. I also noticed thaat special offers were very good value. Wwould go back again. Thanks.
Stayed with a group of 11 people and all of us plan to return for a longer stay. The location was beautiful- lovely for walks. The food was delicious and the staff were excellent.
A lot of kids here a hard to sleep with kids crying
Nice hotel in quiet place and close to beach with good views.
Such a lovely place , so close to the beach, we had such a lovely stay and staff where all extremely lovely and v welcoming ! Bath in the room little rusty cud maybe update a little ...
Great kids club. Fabulous views. A very busy hotel
Very good , food in restaurant lovely and reasonably priced, lovely bar staff
Good location , bus service hourly was great outside the main door
Nice hotel close to the beach and a lovely restaurant and pub
Comfortable and peaceful time , staff very helpful and friendly
Stayed for 2 nights with a friend.. we were doing the Sligo Camino trek with an early start on Saturday. We enquired about spa treatments for the Saturday evening/Sunday for our weary muscles and were totally discouraged by a disgruntled receptionist. On Saturday morning there was no hot water whatsoever for a shower/wash and continental breakfast was just chopped fruit, cereal, tea and toast....no variety of bread, cheeses, hams etc. When we returned from a very long trek, echausted, I was totally ignored at the bar while waiting for a drink. I stood what felt like 10 minutes. Those eating seemed to get preference with only one till working so a queue of what staff there were to use it. The "specials' were the same as the night before for bar food with a few missing. Sunday breakfast was sadly lacking in something also. No beans or mushrooms or soda or potatoe bread and scrambled egg unless you asked for different. Overall there were only 3 members of staff who smiled and were helpful. Saving grace? Lovely jaccussi and swim on Sunday morning. Nice hotel shame about the staff.....and lack of. Pity really.
Lovely hotel with great staff. Perfectly situated for exploring Yeats Country and Lissadell House also very close. Always felt good coming back to hotel in evening for food and lovely walk around the headland. Really enjoyed our stay and hope to return again..
Hotel was in complete refurbishment so could not get to pool through building and when there was a storm going this was needed. Staff were friendly but the prosseco requested for our room needed a corkscrew making it pointless taking it to the room.
Hotel being refurbished so some areas look a bit scruffy. Rooms look old fashioned, but are spacious with good beds and bathrooms.
Nice scenic and tranquil location. Hotel being refurnished. Hotel staff are very nice.
Horrible rooms, wifi went down after 10pm and never came back on, the bathroom was dark and cave like, front desk never answered the phone and we called multiple times, food was some of the worst in the country. I would not recommend this place.
Nice updated rooms. Great location in a wonderful spot.
Kids enjoy the pool and food was lovely very helpful stuff and there was a kids club on good for them too . All had good nite sleep . Had lovely hot bath was so relaxing ..... would stay here again xx
It was good apart from there being no sky sports
Stunning location with beautiful views from our room. Cleanliness top class and very pleasant staff. We had a lovely weekend and intend to be back during the summer. Congratulations to all concerned, Seamus - Co Waterford
Not a nice place for a lone traveller .Sky news only allowed in the bar boring; staff would not accommodate changing channels .returned to my room best option - unfortunately pool not available for me to use . all in all I won't be back..
Great for families
It is a lovely location and the spa was great. But the bedroom was tired looking and the bed was the worst I have ever slept on!! I did mention the bed at check and was told she was surprised because the rooms had been recently renovation, maybe some rooms but definitely not the one we where in.
This hotel is a perfect place for family. It’s spotless, the staff are so nice and their kids club is amazing : my kids (my boy 9 autistic and my girl 7) just couldn’t get enough of it. Kids will go from 5 and get their dinner and having great fun while parents can relax and get theirs... The indoor pool was nice and warm. And all that 5 minutes walk from stunning beach walk! Perfect place for proper family break ! Defo will go back !
Great experience. Enjoyed the warmth and open fires. Bed very comfortable and the food was delicious. Very big helpings. The staff were very helpful especially Christine in the reception. There was fab music in the bar played by Gerry Gallagher.
Initially was given a twin room on ground floor which was smelly and damp. Asked to be moved. Was given a modernised double room on 3rd floor which was lovely and fresh.
I was staying for one short night before a meeting. Got there in time to avail of a seaweed bath in their spa. Outstanding in both quality and value. Great staff throughout the hotel. I was sorry I wasn't staying longer, and will definitely go back.
Had a great stay at this hotel could not fault it on anything.Staff very pleasant and helpful.family room was very large and comfortable.Hope to return in the near future
STAYED HERE SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE, VERY CHILD FRIENDLY.
We booked the room via a Web site and previously booked via phone on two occasions and in each case the room was excellent when we arrived I offered ground floor no issues with that but room 108, was obviously for a group and dated, and did not care that as couple and are wedding anniversary that you are trying to make it just little bit special and consider it was full and when we where leaving the house keeper where cleaning far superior quality rooms and as previously stated when I booked it via telephone before the rooms where excellent but the staff were friendly and helpful
had better rooms in HOSTELS
I stayed one night - ii arrived late to check in as I was traveling and the staff were really pleasant and offering food options etc. Room was really large and the showers is excellent! Breakfast doesn’t start until 8am and I would liked an earlier start. Views of Rosses Point are amazing
Comfortable hotel, in need of updating. Breakfast not served until 8 so too late for me
The hotel was clean and comfortable. It's not the most modern and up to date hotel, but the staff and breakfast make up for it.
Enjoyed our stay . Tossed point is a lovely place to stay hotel could not fault
Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Beautiful scenary near the hotel
Very dated hotel with even more dated plumbing. Rooms smell musky & the bathrooms need modernising
Problem with paying since they separated drinks and food
This is an interesting Hotel on a golf course near to the sea. It might be interesting to stay longer but was very satisfactory for an overnight stop.
This was a nice hotel, staff were very friendly and service was great. Beautiful location, local area is lovely, great pubs and lovely walk along front. Bedrooms are large, spacious and we had a lovely view. The only complaint I had was the area around the pool and showers. They were extremely dirty and in need of a good deep clean, there is green slime/damp on tiled floors and walls, around windows etc and even steps into the pool. Could be a fab facility only it needs some improvements and updating. But even having said that I would go back and think it would be a great place for family holidays.
Good rooms and swimming pool. The hotel has an old world charm about it which is in character with Yeats country.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was utterly wonderful and the rooms are huge and comfortable; ours had a priceless sea view. There is a nice pool and supervised gym facilities However, the decor is now in need of updating ; this said, it was a lovely stay and our rooms were spacious and would certainly appeal to American standards.. We loved it.
Hotel room was a bit dated and dark but clean. Not enough towels or loo roll for a family for the two days. The Leisure centre was the biggest disappointment as the photos on the website made it look amazing, fresh and clean.....instead it was run down, mouldy, dirty and the facias peeling. Dirty on the pool floor, peeling seats in the steam room, black mould on the ceiling times, which then drop down into the pool via condensation. Mildew growing in the lockers and God knows what on the tiles in the shower. Beautiful location, could do so much more.
We had to wait an hour and a half after check in because our room wasn't ready! Hairdryer didn't work! Room was far too warm! There was an air vent outside our room rattling all night that sounded like a lorry! Cleaners kept walking into our room while we were getting changed, sleeping, in the shower etc! Not impressed.
A busy 3 star hotel. Breakfasts good as was bar food. Views outstanding when it wasn't raining! But it is the west coast of Ireland with the weather coming all the way across the Atlantic. Very adjacent to Sligo County Golf Club - a wonderful links course. Hotel in general getting a little tired, with the exception of the amazing Spa.
beautiful location, huge room with amazing views. only negative was no food was served after 8 pm
This is a lovely hotel for a relaxing break. Beautyful scenery nice walks and very friendly people.
Was a bit apprehensive when we landed outside hotel but have to say the room was huge and very nicely decorated. We had dinner in the hotel and it was just delicious. So tasty. Very friendly staff. Definitely going back again. Kids had a great time .
Stayed for 2 nights for a family brrak, perfect get away
