Down Yonder Boutique B&B

Loved our stay ; stunning property and gracious, engaging hosts !

Down Yonder is a beautiful home set on top of a hill in Ross’es Point with lovely views of the water and Benbullen. Decor is elegant but warm and inviting. Breakfast room is a conservatory with lots of light and breakfast itself was delicious. Staff is very kind and accommodating

Very friendly, great breakfast, and a beautiful comfortable room. Lovely property and very quiet

Very welcoming hosts, quiet and comfortable. Excellent breakfasts.

The uniqueness of Down Yonder is apparent right from first sight. The building is gently set into the landscape with breath taking views of Ben Bulben and views down to the sea. It's just a few minutes stroll away from Rosses Point restaurants and bars. The impressive entrance hall leads to an elegant drawing room where you may enjoy a coffee on arrival served up by the wonderful Eavan. The welcome was so warm and friendly. The guest rooms are spacious and full of light. The beds are so comfortable, you may have trouble leaving them! Ensuite bathrooms are a good size, the showers are wonderful, almost spa like! Breakfast was made to perfection each morning by Guido and served in a delightful sunroom. The guest house is close to so many Sligo and Donegal attractions and sights and your hosts will give you directions if you need some guidance. I would absolutely recommend Down Yonder to anyone without hesitation.

We stayed here on our way to Donegal. The accommodation was a pleasant surprise - lovely location near the bay, beautiful house and great breakfast! - We will definitely stay here again for a few nights and see the sights around Sligo.

As the last night of our trip, we saved the best til last. From arrival to departure, we were made to feel welcome. The B&B is situated in picturesque settings, with some of the rooms looked out onto the mountains. The rooms were large and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, with so much choice! The hosts were wonderful, putting lots of effort in to getting to know us and ensuring our stay was what we wanted. Will definitely return.

The public areas were beautifully decorated, and the views from the breakfast room and rear garden, were stunning. The staff were very warm and welcoming. The breakfast selection was unique and very tasty.

Every trip we do we always find one or two of those special places to stay and this is one of them. We were greeted on arrival and made to feel at home straight away. After receiving a tour around we were shown to our room and it was beautiful with an amazing countryside and coastal views. The location is in a quite area and is a nice walk into town but it’s is an uphill walk on the return. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. We loved our stay here and wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

The Family is wonderful and welcoming, the house is beautiful, and so are the rooms, a great place to stay and a beautiful view overlooking the water!

Some of the kindest hosts and the most beautiful property!

Beautiful home with a most comfortable bed! The breakfast menu was unbelievable for a B&B! Many gourmet choices. The owners were very hospitable!

Unparalleled B&B experience - a must whilst in Sligo!

Beautiful home in a lovely setting. The hosts were very welcoming and informative, lovely breakfast too.

A simply stunning home with lovely views and an incredibly warm reception from everyone at Down Yonder. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast delicious. A family run business which is run with personal care and exceptional high standards. You will be delighted with your choice to stay here.

Fabulous views - very comfortable rooms - lovely hosts and all in all excellent for our purposes

Large luxurious bedrooms with a great owner family

Lovely setting with a beautiful view. Greeted with a cup of tea in the drawing room. Good size room with a private bathroom. The home is lovely and they serve a great breakfast. We had no problem finding it just follow the signs.

Down Yonder is by far the best B&B we have ever stayed at. As soon as we drove up to the front door, we were “wowed”. The house is gorgeous, bedrooms are spacious and VERY comfortable and the breakfast service and food are exceptional. There is nothing to fault. Would love a return visit.

Breathtaking views

Amazing location, stunning view and top class hosts. I highly recommend thisnplave for a true 5 star Irish experience!

first class in every respect

A wonderful stay. Our host couldn't have been more helpful. This is a great location and I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else next time.

The Down Yonder is truly exquisite. The owner sparkles! And the young man at breakfast is very knowledgable about local sights and brilliant at directions, down to the donkeys to look for before arriving at the Devil's Chimney! The breakfast is like a five-star hotel or better--all cooked to order. I can't wait to go back.

Friendly, beautiful excellent location. What more can we say our stay was faultless. Will stay again . Highly recommend

We enjoyed the view, the breakfast and the antique furnishings. The owner was delightful, and gave us helpful tips about the local area and Sligo.

Beautiful home, stayed in the section that was built just a year ago. Host was very welcoming. Only disappointment was the breakfast, as we had been spoiled at previous B&B's with fresh fruits, local yogurts, etc.

A little difficult to find, but wonderful place. Hostess was wonderful. Home was beautiful and comfortable.

Small town on the coast, very pretty, good golf course. Limited restaurant selection in town. Neighboring Strandhill has Drafthouse pub which was good and the Voya spa. It was too rainy to hike. Strandhill also has a surf school. Sligo along the river has shops, pubs and restaurants. Hostess was very nice and her home was lovely.

We stayed in several B&Bs during our Ireland roadtrip, and Down Yonder was our favorite by far. From it's elegant interior design to its manor-like size, Down Yonder was a restful and peaceful stay. The back rooms have an unobstructured and grand view of pastures (with sheep, of course) and Benbulbin. Rosses Point was also a pleasant surprise - it's a quiet, non-touristy seaside town with restaurants and a nice sidewalk to the beach park. We would come back to Down Yonder in a heartbeat.

Fabulous place , well appointed and welcoming.

We didn't get nearly enough time at this B&B We could of stayed for a month. The owner Eavan- is amazing. We had recently got into a bit of a car accident and she help us out. After being dropped of by the Garda she made sure we were well took us to our beautiful room overlooking the coast. The house is almost as beautiful as the surounding nature. They helped us get all the paperwork from our accident sorted as well as gave us a lift into town the following day. Their hospitality went above and beyond what is expected. The breakfast is also delicious.

Great hosts and a wonderful view! One of the best places we stayed in Ireland!

Last minute booking so we were given the only room that was left...the smallest one. However, the owner was most helpful and generously covered some of our meal at the local restaurant once she found out it was our honeymoon trip!

As everyone else says. Excellent in every way. Highly recommende

An amazing place to stay in a beautiful area. The house is better than many 5 star hotels I've stayed in, purpose built with beautiful views and lovely breakfast options.

A luxury Bed and Breakfast with stunning views. Beautifully appointed, homely atmosphere. Walking distance to great pubs and delicious food. Great breakfast options. We appreciated the owners friendliness.

The place is beautiful. Our rooms were spacious. the bathroom was wonderful and the owner is very nice. The location is a bit off the beaten path but once you get there it was worth the extra drive

Large and comfortable rooms & very friendly owner who really cares about their guests. A bit pricey but overall we enjoyed our stay. We will be back, thank you!

Beautiful, spacious room with outstanding views from Rosses Point. One of the nicest B&B's (or even hotels) we have stayed at in our travels. Our hostess was extremely helpful in suggesting activities. We did not expect the Sligo area to be as breathtaking as it is.
