The reservation system seemed to indicate there were only family rooms (2 connected rooms) available. So, I booked a family room and upon arrival, it appeared there were plenty of regular rooms available. It was suggested to switch to a regular room and as compensation, all I got was the breakfast. Not even the parking place (which one night was even completely full) was compensated. Worst was that the room was cleaned up on departure day BEFORE 10h30 while breakfast is till 11h00 and BEFORE I did a checkout. Result: my belongings had been removed from the room. I had to recover my belongings at the desk and upon arrival home, to discover items were missing. What kind of disservice is this?!

Reviewed Sep 7, 2026Die Lage an der Motorworld war super. Besonders hat uns das Foyer beeindruckt, weil überall Exponate, Bilder und Einrichtungsgegenstände zum Thema zu sehen waren. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und sehr ansprechend präsentiert.

Themed and centred around every luxury car showroom you can imagine, including classic cars, and right next door to the Mercedes Benz plant. The car theme runs right through the hotel with different cars everywhere - Kit from Knight Rider was in the lobby when I arrived! The staff were brilliant - effectively, polite and genuinely cared about your stay. Their English was great when my German faulted. Room really comfortable, extremely clean, and provided a good night sleep. Secure parking was easily accessible and there is so much to see and do in the local vicinity. Lots of good restaurants too. I even went for a run around the old Zeppelin airfield and lake. I would definitely stay again.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026We had a great stay at the V8 Hotel! Our room was spacious and had a balcony. We booked a themed room, and the check-in process was smooth. The receptionists were friendly and provided good customer service. Unfortunately, the themed room I originally wanted was already booked, so we had no other option but to choose the Found in the Barn theme instead. It wasn’t my first choice, but we still enjoyed the unique experience.
What I didn’t like was that there was no mini fridge in the room. Also, only one complimentary bottle of water was provided, which I felt was not enough for two guests. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, and the hotel is definitely a great experience, especially for car lovers. The hotel offers several automotive-themed rooms, making it a unique place to stay.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026Ein wirklich sehr schönes Hotel, bei dem alles bis ins kleinste Detail durchdacht ist – von der Seife und den Pflegeprodukten bis hin zur geschmackvollen und hochwertigen Zimmerausstattung. Man merkt, dass hier viel Wert auf Qualität und ein stimmiges Gesamtkonzept gelegt wird. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Auch die Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen: In der näheren Umgebung gibt es zahlreiche gute Restaurants sowie Einkaufs- und Shoppingmöglichkeiten. Ich habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen ganz sicher wieder!

Reviewed Jul 29, 2026Booked 2 themes rooms and 1 regular room. Both themed rooms did not have working AC as it was broken. Was offered a fan or a temporary room to sleep in at night. Bathrooms has no doors or curtains which makes showering with non-spouse travelers very inconvenient. Not all towels were changed out during stay. Staff was all very nice but didn't really know how to address the inconvenience of the broken AC rooms. Suggested that they discounted the rooms but was advised they could not. They offered 2 free breakfast, but we had 6 people in our party. Lots of noise at 7am as service dept started moving cars at that time. Would have been better off living at a nicer hotel and visiting the hotel/motor world.

Reviewed Jul 10, 2026The room I got (318) was not as motor/car inspired as my expectiations acording to the pictures shown in the advertisment(s). So this was a bit disapointing. Unfortunatly, I arrived to late and left to early to have a closer look into the the McLaren store and the Mercedes Classical car stores. However, the Mercedes classical store opened its doors earlier and I was allowed in for a quick look at the cars before I had to leave. Staff was superb.

Reviewed Jul 3, 2026Für Autofans der ideale Standort! Tolle Motiv-Zimmer! Nahe am Bahnhof Böblingen, aber von den Zügen hört man nichts. Zimmer grosszügig und tiptop sauber. Personal am Empfang sehr freundlich. Am besten hat mir das Zimmer Racing Green gefallen: ruhig, auch bei geöffnetem Fenster, auch gut für Büroarbeiten am Laptop.
In einem anderen Zimmer war kein Fenster zu öffnen und es gab nur eingeschränkte Möglichkeiten für Computerarbeiten, da kein Schreibtisch vorhanden. Wegen einer grossen Strassenbaustelle zwischen Hotel und Mercedes-Fabrik leider aktuell für Fussgänger kein Durchgang; dafür kann das Hotel aber nichts und es sollte im nächsten Jahr behoben sein.
