Hampton Inn and Suites Hartford/Farmington

The king room was clean, and spacious when we arrived. This we liked. We also liked the breakfast selections and the area where we ate breakfast.

. However, we found the following displeasing. 1. The room air conditioner was a bit noisy; Worse was the toilet. Whenever it was flushed, there was a loud screeching, groaning noise as the tank was refilling. At times, we had to jiggle the handle to get the toilet to start filling or else there was no water for the next flush. This was very annoying during the night. 2. We had a two-night stay, and our room was not serviced while we away from the room. We returned that evening to find the bed had not been made. Totally unacceptable!

Breakfast had lots of choices, and the location was situated in a desirable area.

I stayed here for one night and had an OK experience. The hotel is in a convenient location, appears to be fairly new, and is well maintained. The grounds and landscaping are attractive, and the property backs up to a gated community, which adds to the pleasant setting. The staff provided good service, and while the complimentary breakfast was decent, it wasn't anything exceptional. The hotel also offers a nice fitness center and a pool, which are great amenities. My room had a couple of drawbacks. The air conditioner was a bit noisy, and although the bed came with several pillows, they were very soft and feather-filled, making them uncomfortable for me. I was also surrounded by rooms with barking dogs. The barking wasn't constant, but it happened often enough—especially between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m.—to prevent me from getting a good night's sleep. The hotel is located on Colt Highway, with several good restaurants just a short drive away. Despite being on a main road, it was reasonably quiet at night, with very little traffic noise.

Everything was just fine…nothing exceptional

I travel a lot. My daughter is a very experienced travel agent, and I’ve had the advantage of traveling with her as she reviews resorts, hotels, motels, cruises…etc. Some of the places we have stayed have been extremely luxurious, and consequently high priced…. Some over $1000 a night! I have, though, never felt as at home as I did at this particular Inn My son found this place, and we shared the room at the Hampton Inn suites in Farmington. From the time we walked in, I was struck with the cleanliness, amenities, professionalism, but most impressive: the friendliness. The pool was great. The hot tub was better. Everything was clean operational and easily accessible. The hours are compatible with our strange schedules. The 12:00 check out time was a life saver! Gave us an extra few hours of sleep. The complementary breakfast was beyond compare…. With selections for everyone. But as I said, most impressive was the overall friendliness and ambience of the staff. I was never ignored, passed over, I made you feel like I was in a position. I mean, even the guy is doing service work in holes stuff what they were doing and said hello. I felt like I was truly a valued guest. Moreover, there were plenty of restaurants close by: indeed, something for everyone! I would like to congratulate the entire staff for working together to build the highest form of customer satisfaction. Service like this is always a team effort and I am happy to recognize it! Location and room size

Pool chlorine smell was very strong in rooms, AC didn’t work, and it seemed there wasn’t enough staff on duty despite the hotel not seeming very busy.

Wow! I’m really enjoying my stay at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Farmington. The rooms are fine as is breakfast….but it’s the customer service that I’ve been incredibly impressed by. I wish I knew the name of the young man who checked us in but it was a 5 star experience. Then, I needed help on a few things in the morning and Lee Brown went truly above and beyond to make the impossible a reality. The grounds are quite lovely. I haven’t checked out their pool or workout facilities but it’s really charming lobby. Highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Hartford/Farmington and I received great service from the Staff. Lee Brown was helpful in provided service during my stay, as well as, giving recommendations for places to see while in the area. Will be staying here again during my next trip.

Our family travels quite a bit for my daughter's Irish Dance Feis competitions. And this is one of the cleanest and well run hotels that we've been to. Lee Brown was acceptional. He made sure that everything went smooth and that we were always taken care of. Kudos to one of the hidden secrets in Connecticut!

Back in the greater Hartford area to visit family and enjoy great baseball at Dunkin Park( go Yardgoats!), we chose to stay at this fine Hilton property with easy access to I-84. Our guest rep, Lee Brown, checked us in quickly and provided top shelf Hilton hospitality . Quiet location, with first-class amenitie - pool, fitness, room, breakfast and warm friendly staff. We will gladly stay here when in this area again.

Location is great, few mins off the highway. Front desk, Lee Brown, was very welcoming and amicable. Gave us a brief history of why CT is the Nutmeg State. The room was clean and comfortable. We were happy with our choice to to stay here. Thank you staff!

The location was great and the hotel has many amenities.

The carpet in the room was dirty (needed a good vacuuming)- pretty badly for me to notice) something I’ve never had an issue with at a Hilton property before. Loads of families with small children running in the halls screaming at 8 am on a Saturday, while their parents talked noisily behind them?!? Fine for the one night I needed, but I wouldn’t have enjoyed the early morning wake up if I was staying longer.

What a wonderful stay! Friendly front staff was so helpful and accommodating. Lee was the best and I truly appreciate his Above And beyond effort. The rooms were clean, all of the staff went out of the way to be friendly. Clean, modern rooms and a great gym set up. Lots of space in the lobby to spend time and personal and professional level. Would stay again when in this area!

Stayed here for a business trip in West Hartford and was happy with my stay. Rooms were huge and clean and quiet. I did digital check-in so can't comment on the front desk staff Breakfast spread was pretty decent with fresh strawberries, blueberries and raspberries- which you dont always get at Hampton. Coffee was weak as you expect at these chains :) It was also convenient to a 5 minute drive to Five Corners Bistro where I got a decent dinner. If in the area I would stay here again

The Breakfast...and gym and pool.

We have had an amazing experience! Excellent front desk help. Lee was so kind and helpful! Very clean rooms, great breakfasts and the gym and pool were so nice!

I wanted to share what a good stay I had at this hotel. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The fitness center was excellent and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. The service from every team member was cheerful, and kind. I always like to note that the HVAC in the room worked well and made the sleeping conditions comfortable. I do wsh that there was a function to have the fan run continuously, but unfortunately my room did not have that capability. I sleep much better when there is some white noise in the room. However, I did sleep great and was well rested. I also want to note that the grounds were very nice and every outside view was beautiful. I will stay here again.

The place is clean, the room is big and the staff is really nice. I like that they offer a gym, a pool and a great breakfast. The location is also great.

The AC in the room really bothered me. This is the second time I stay there, in a different room, and had the same issue. It goes from cold to heat on and off all night.

Property was clean inside and out. Linen was fresh. Common areas were inviting. Very peaceful

Most of the staff didn’t speak English. The pool had hair in it both times we were in the pool that kept getting water n my son. The breakfast was great but I wish the meat was cooked well done.

The only concern that I had was the heating unit which was under the window. It would not respond to my attempts to regulate the heat, and when it did come on it was quite noisy - to the point that I had difficulty falling asleep.

Shuttle service to UCONN medical center where my husband was after a major surgery. It was just one less thing to worry about with finding a parking spot at UCONN which was extremely difficult

Bar soap for handwashing. Would recommend liquid hand soap. Its much better and healthier hygiene wise

Conveniently located

Staff is super friendly, this is a great place for people on a budget with kids. The pool and other amenities are like vacation itself and the breakfast options were top tier

When I checked in I mentioned I had to leave at 4am and would miss breakfast, the very nice women checking me is said there could be a “to go” breakfast bag awaiting me if I wanted do I told her yes. It wasn’t there. No biggie but still. The room was clean but some of the strangest and ugliest decor I’ve ever seen. It was truly bizarre. The pillows were not comfortable and for whatever reason the second night someone was banging on a wall, it was weird deliberate banging, over and over. First at 12:30am, then at 1:30 ish, then at 3. I finally got back to sleep and my alarm clock went off at 6, the last guest must have set it, so up I was again. The charging station next to my bed didn’t work. I’d stuck my phone on it overnight and when I awoke it hasn’t charged. That caused me some issues since my phone was dead. But none of it was disastrous. The place was clean and the staff super friendly.

I want everyone was extremely courteous.

The bedsheets smelled like they had not been washed. they had an odor They smelled like the odoryou would get when you have not washed your hair for several days or are wearing a baseball cap continuously. But I did love the staff and the cleanliness in other parts of hotel.

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel while celebrating the holidays with relatives nearby. Nice touch that the hotel leaves out wrapping paper and scotch tape! Comfortable beds and rooms. Take out breakfast bags when you are checking out in a hurry. Thoughtful place.

No one told us what time the breakfast was, we got there right at 10 when it was closing. The walls were paper thin and even though I had requested an adjoining room a week or more before, the gave me a room with an adjoining room that was already booked. Those people were screaming all night, having very loud sex with multiple partners - it was trashy. My request was not met at all and it was a very uncomfortable feeling

I have stayed at the Farmington Hampton Inn six times in the past year and the staff is always friendly and helpful. This is my preferred place to say when visiting my daughter at college.

El agua de la ducha no salia realmente caliente, salia más bien templada. Lo comentamos en recepción el primer dia y nos dijeron que hacia una semana habia habido un cambio en el circuito de agua y que lo pasarian a mantenimiento. No notamos gran diferencia.
