The room was small but clean and comfortable and the location was very nice - it was an easy walk from the train station and we enjoyed exploring this area.

I tried to contact the motel before our visit by phone and email and did not receive a response. We received several WhatsApp messages about this booking that I believe were scams.

Perfect location for the Gare du Lyon station, literally a few minutes walk. Metro to all places of interest in short metro rides. Lots of bars and restaurants, shops ect on the doorstep. And the food was lovely in them. A lovely couple of bars over the road. Staff were super friendly and gave help and tips for our trip. Beds were really comfortable, slept really well. Over all a great stay and would 100000% stay here again when I next visit. Full five stars from me.

The only thing I would say is a negative is that you only get a welcome plate of tea, coffee and milk in your room for one days worth of your whole visit. I feel it’s should be topped up each day you stay. It costs pence to replenish, I feel would make The stay better as most like to Wake and have a cup of tea or coffee when they are getting ready.

Im Hotel wird ein Gepäckraum angeboten, in welchem die Koffer nach dem Checkout bis zur Abreise eingestellt werden können. Freundliches Personal am Empfang. Ca. 300 m vom Hotel entfernt befindet sich der Bahnhof Gare de Lyon, von welchem mittels Metro, Zug oder Bus problemlos die gesamte Stadt erkundet werden kann.

Das Frühstück bestand überwiegend aus abgepackten Lebensmitteln, die „entpackt“ angerichtet wurden. Pfannkuchen und Eier-Omelette waren regelmäßig kalt (aus der Verpackung im Kühlschrank in die Auslage)! Der Abräumservice in dem kleinen Frühstücksraum hätte besser/schneller und gründlicher funktionieren können. Einwegtischauflagen wurden teils mehrfach benutzt. Anfragen per Email vor Reiseantritt wurden vom Hotel nicht beantwortet!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.I made my reservation well in advance and, on the actual day of check-in, when I contacted the accommodation to let them know what time I would be arriving, I was informed that they had experienced a system issue and that there were no rooms available. I completely understand that technical issues or unexpected problems can happen, but the least they could have done was inform me in advance, rather than telling me when I was already in the city and had been relying on this reservation for a long time. On top of that, the customer service was terrible. The woman I spoke to completely washed her hands of the situation and, instead of trying to find a solution or showing the slightest bit of empathy, she was quite rude. A very disappointing experience, both in terms of how the reservation was handled and the customer service I received. I would never book here again and I definitely do not recommend this place. De plus, le service client a été déplorable. La personne à qui j’ai parlé s’est complètement désintéressée de la situation et, au lieu d’essayer de trouver une solution ou de faire preuve d’un minimum d’empathie, elle a été assez désagréable. Une expérience extrêmement décevante, tant au niveau de la gestion de la réservation que de l’accueil et du service client. Je ne réserverai plus jamais ici et je déconseille fortement cet établissement.

Great hotel for a short stay in Paris. Very clean and comfortable. Good value for money breakfast with plenty of different options. Very convenient location a short walk from Gare de Lyon and other public transport options. Plenty of restaurants to choose from nearby, and good bakeries too. Good room size and price for city centre location.

It’s a great location being so close to Gare du Nord, as I made quite a few train trips to see Paris attractions. Additionally the bed was comfortable, the room and other areas were spotless, and all the staff I encountered were welcoming and helpful. The elevator worked perfectly.

Location was great and easy to get the metro to venture out. Rooms were big and clean and most of the staff were really helpful and welcoming.

Most of the staff were really lovely but one girl doing breakfast in our second day was quite rude and sat out the back in her phone most of the time. The lady the day before was lovely.

Booking.com website was hacked, my booking was not valid, 1 day before check in Booking.com confirmed my booking on the phone (which was not true), hotel confirmed that both them and Booking.com knew about the hacking and were working together to fix it, and they did not even send an email to customers warning them about the possible fake booking. Booking.com didn't even bother to apologize.

Location is quite good as you have immediate access to the Seine promenade and 3rd district is also very near. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. The room is small but tidy and it is quite nice for a shorter stay.

I don’t know if that was just for me but I booked the hotel from booking thinking that’s all and was so sure that I would get a place there but when I reached there, I called the hotel and I got to find out that the website was hacked so they didn’t have any access to my booking so I had to book another hotel

The location is great. The staff was great. The breakfast was great one of the best I’ve had in Paris.

We booked the junior suite at the last minute. As we entered the unit, there was the smell of sewage coming from the first bathroom. This is due to faulty venting. It has a large room with a sofa, bed and large double bed. There are two full bathrooms. This was a first for us in France, having two bathrooms and one unit. The issue is the venting of the sewage. They did end up giving us back a partial refund. They also came and treated the sewage lines with cleaners which temporarily helped. This is a top floor unit so the venting could be a problem if not corrected or done properly. They actually gave me back a refund very quickly and it hit my bank within hours. I love the place. I just hope they can take care of this situation for future renters.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that their booking had been hacked and that they did not actually have a room available for us. Unfortunately, the hotel did not offer us any alternative accommodation or any solution. We were forced to find new accommodation ourselves, at a higher price, while already in Paris. The Hotel location is great for the Gare de Lyon especially if you have an early train to catch, about a five minute walk. The price is very competitive for the area and I have stayed in quite a few close by. It’s clean and the staff were friendly, I will definitely stay there again .

Great location being a short walk from Gare du Lyon and many restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room clean with good air conditioning (it was very hot) and plenty of room for our luggage. Pleasantly surprised by the locality which appears to be experiencing a lot of renovation lead by the station. Many nice buildings.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were told we didn't have a reservation. Other guests were waiting outside with their luggage. The hotel staff said they had been subjected to a cyberattack via Booking.com. However, what was interesting was that they were loading countless mattresses onto a truck in front of the hotel. When we asked, they said the mattresses were being taken out for cleaning. It seemed like the whole hotel was moving. We couldn't make any sense of it. In every hotel we stayed in France, we experienced something like this. Customer satisfaction and service are a 0 out of 10.

We didn't go, because the hotel canceled our reservation. We booked the hotel via Booking.com and it was confirmed without issue, days later the hotel asked us to enter our credit card details again to receive a discounted price. I contacted them twice to enquire, no response. Then a few days later my booking was cancelled. Really poor and still to this day no explanation.

Avoid this hotel — suspicious verification request and cancellation 3 days before arrival. I booked Hôtel de France Gare de Lyon Bastille through Booking.com. A few days before arrival, they asked me to confirm my reservation through a strange email address outside the normal Booking.com process. Booking.com warns guests not to do this. I tried calling and messaging the hotel several times, but they did not answer or respond. Then my reservation was cancelled only 3 days before my trip, leaving me without accommodation at the last minute. Very unsafe and unreliable experience.

The hotel does not honor reservations. After you book through Booking.com, they ask you to cancel your reservation and pay a higher price on their own website. They even threaten that your reservation will not be honored if you refuse to do so. This is an unacceptable and misleading business practice.

The proximity to Gare de Lyon (10mins if with large suitcase). Professional staff, compact yet all-inclusive room. Bed and shower are extremely comfortable. The hotel offers baggage storage. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby.

If you wish to go for sightseeing, it is a little further from the city centre.

Our room and ensuite was exceptional Very comfortable bed. Ensuite spacious and well equipped. Refurbished only 4 years ago the decor was very much in our taste Location was good. Staff were helpful. Storage facility was secure enabling walk around le Marais. Air conitioning was invaluable.

Altthough the breakfast was adequate, the continental option could have been more extensive.

Lovely little hotel with a great room, good size and a view over the street. Good facilities including tea, coffee and biscuits in the room which was a bonus. Easy check in and walking distance to the station.
