We were in cabin 32/33 and likes the grass area for the kids to play in

The kitchen was inconsistent. We had to borrow from both cabins just to make a meal

Location is great and the staff is very nice. Love they had a phone number we could text with the reception. Loved the bathroom mirror lights. The apartment with the full kitchen is great and the patio with fireplace and BBQ is a pleasant surprise! Would have been perfect if it wasn't...

SO LOUD! Do not stay in a room in front of the pool if you have little ones with you. It was so loud inside the room the window would shake with the subwoofer from the music in the pool area the whole day. It felt like I was in a washroom of a nightclub. I guess the sound waves were hitting the glass window directly. This is a really bad arrangement and someone needs to go there and listen before renting that room again. I had to text the reception a million times and they would lower it for 20 minutes and then someone would turn it back up. It was a nightmare to put my infant to sleep (it only stops at 8 pm). Definitely not suitable for a family with a baby. Missed having hooks or towel hangers in the bathroom.

Fun stay for the kids

Great location, friendly staff, store, pizza, ice cream and a laundry mat! We stayed in a cute 2 bedroom cabin. It was quiet and clean. We had a fabulous stay!

I loved the river in the back! Very friendly staff as well.

Wasn’t very clean found some small items under couch. Bedding can be checked better. Other than that it’s excellent!

Pool, kids playground..

Very nice location. Perfect spot to spend a few days exploring Vancouver Island. Don't expect the Ritz Carlton but we had a stand alone apartment that was clean and very comfortable. There is also a laundromat and a small store on the property. Management and staff went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating.

My 5 yr old daughter enjoyed the playground, the mini golf and water slides very much! The kitchen is downstairs so it won’t disturb people upstairs. Also you can bbq at back.

The towels lint, pillow too soft

Excellent location near Qualicum, beach, hiking. Lots of space - bedrooms, kitchen, living room, bathrooms. Clean. Great staff.

Kitchen was very cold - was heated by unit in adjacent bedroom or living room down the hall. ~$400 per night was too expensive at this time of year.

Bed was quite comfortable

There was no hot water, coffee machine was broken. It's located on a highway, so walking wasn't really possible.

The shower pressure

Standing out freezing my ass off for 30 minutes because the room key would not work. The air conditioner was on no instructions on how to work it. I had to sleep in my cloths and jacket.

Schöne Anlage, direkt am Fluss. Wir haben einen luxuriösen Wohnauflieger für wenige Tage gemietet, um herauszufinden, ob ein längerer Urlaub in einem solchen Anhänger (ca 45 qm) funktioniert. Das Bad war außerordentlich groß und geräumig, ebenso der Wohnbereich mit Kücheninsel, Kamin und beheizten Massagesesseln. Leider war der Auflieger nicht gut gepflegt und gereinigt.

Schnecken im Küchenschrank, verstopfte Leitungen, sehr schmutzige Fenster und Fliegengitter, könnte auch Schimmel gewesen sein, alte Decke auf Betten. Insgesamt haben wir uns nicht wohlgefühlt bzw. haben den Anhänger am ersten Tag selbst gereinigt. Das hat die Platzleitung einfach zur Kenntnis genommen.

The pool was cold and there was no closet in the room. (Which is not that bad, since I found the kitchen more valuable)

So nice to have a spot we could do laundry mid-camping vacation and wait out some rain. The kitchen was great, the room was spacious and clean. Would definitely stay again.

Upon arrival, we noticed fruit flies flying around the room. We then tried to turn on the heater, and even switched to different modes to check if the A/C would work, but nothing was blowing out at all. The heater did not function, and we were freezing all night. In addition, the room was very damp — after taking a shower the humidity became even worse, which made the stay very uncomfortable. I contacted the property and was told the manager would reach out, but no one ever followed up.

Everything was great, very friendly staff and very accommodating. My only worry was the shower was not cleaned.

Our room was older and showed some wear, most concerning was an active and highly-populated wasp's nest in the soffit above the door to the room which was not attended to, despite reporting it - one staff member said no maintenance staff are on site - commenting that he thought that wasn't good, as there were also wasp nests identified by hand-written signs, "Angry wasps" . . . The other concern is that only 3 electrical outlets were accessible, and only the bottom receptacle worked in each of them. No GFI outlet in the bathroom, so the hair dryer had to be plugged in behind the TV, about 5.5 feet high. The freezer compartment of the fridge was not functioning properly, and water dripped down the back wall of the fridge that needed to be wiped out a few times, as it collected in the bottom of the fridge. There is only a cooktop and a microwave. There were only 2 folding lawn chairs on the patio, both in poor condition. The playground equipment is outdated - wood structures with the usual slivers and poor design that caused another family's child to whack her head off a 2x4 that knocked her off her feet and straight back onto her butt. The pool was pushed to the limit on the Saturday with birthday party groups, so the water was green and littered with leaves and insects, and a slime of greasy film on the pool edges by about 2:00 pm. Overall, it's just an older resort that is trying to do its best for families on a budget. Kids don't really notice these things, so all smiles.

Pool was not warm....slides were awesome Condo was nice enough but could have been cleaner....need screens on the windows as wanted to open at night but because of no screens, bugs came in....

Our stay with our kids and grandkids was absolutely amazing! The pool, slides, park and mini golf provided so much to do for all. And we were only a 4 minute walk to the beach for some great exploring. Staff were amazing! Thank you all!

Great to see a business utilizing young and willing workers BUT that means a few things may get overlooked. Overall, an average stay that pictures made it look better than it was, but if you lower your expectations, you will be suitably impressed.

Booked in a clinch and was only available option at time, but was a great experience and plan to go back again. Staff were friendly and helpful. The kids loved the onsite pool and waterslide, as well as mini golf! They provided propane for a firepit out the back patio and had a BBQ too! Pleasantly surprised.

We rented a spacious 3 bedroom cabin which was homey and lovely. With a private outside patio a BBQ we were able to spend lovely family moments together. The pool and slide was also a really fun activity, and we didn't get to the mini golf, but it seemed that this would have been a very fun place for children a little younger than ours, even though our 13 and 15yrs olds had a great time.

We really loved everything, the check in was easy, there was a on site convenience store, and the location was right near the beach and the town of qualicum.

The location is awesome. I like the bungalows. It could do with an upgrade. I love the pool, and mini golf, and flowers and green grass! Grounds well maintained.

Our 2nd time here. Kids had a blast with the waterpark, minigolf was fun. We have stayed in both the studio and the 2 bedroom suites and glad both have private patios for when the kids go to sleep. Definately will be coming back

I’ll start with the negative: Check-in is at 4 and we didn’t get checked in until 5 because the room was still being cleaned. I normally wouldn’t mind too much but I had a wedding rehearsal at 4:30 and my outfit was packed in my suitcase- I had planned to check in at 4 and get ready. But I had to dig my stuff out awkwardly in my car and change and get ready in the common bathroom at the RV section. Not ideal…they were kind about it all but still a pain in the butt. My husband ended having to unpack it all with our two kiddos running around. On our last day we were swimming in the pool and I slid in on the side instead of taking the stairs in and slid my foot over a sharp piece in the concrete and cut open my foot. I got out and it bled a bit so I just stayed out. Short but sweet dip in the pool. The outlet in the bathroom didn’t work…pretty hard to get ready for a wedding when I couldn’t see my hair I was styling. If I didn’t need to do any of the wedding stuff-none of this would have been an issue! The good: All the employees there were so lovely and friendly. The mini golfing was so fun and the kids loved it! My youngest got 2 holes in one! My kids also loved the pool slides and ice cream. The room was nice and clean. I found the beds very comfortable. The location is great. Very close to town or a quick 2 minute drive to the beach. Overall we loved it! Just. A few hiccups but I’m assuming won’t be an issue next time! We’ll be back

I would have liked to have some place to hang items…no closet. As well as a shelf in the bathroom for tooth brushes and other items

I always give this resort 5 stars. Great place for a family to go. Lots to do and you have a chance to meet lots of other families with kids. If you are social and have kids that like to make new friends this is the place for you. Definitely worth a visit!

The facilities are amazing and so are the staff! The waterlides keep the kids entertained for hours, and the pools are lots of fun, too! There is a lifeguard at the pool to keep the kids safe and the pool clean. They also have a park and mini golf, which the kids also loved. The staff went above and beyond, if you need anything just ask the front staff and they will help you out! The front reception area is also equipped with basically anything you need, so don't worry about forgetting anything. Oh, and they have the best ice cream and pizza too! They have a variety of different rooms, which I think is great, so maybe next time we will explore other options. We will definitely be back!

Cleaning of the cottage

We had an amazing time. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! The staff were friendly from check in Dennis great guy to check-out, Sierra she was very kind. I would highly recommend Riverside Resort especially if you’re traveling with kids. We stayed In the small cabin, me my wife and four children (6,7,13,15) and we must say it was very comfortable. Water slide was awesome and with the beach right there this place checked all the boxes. Thanks again Riverside Resort

Location, our cabin was clean, staff were nice and friendly.

Mattresses were not comfortable. Pool facilities were not clean. Pool stairs were slippery. Pool and slides are old and present a safety hazard.

We liked everything!

We had a late checkin and when we arrived they did not leave the key for us so we had to find a different hotel at 1am.

Little shop and pizza shop at the office

Pool was down and that’s the reason me and my family went, my kids were devastated and we ended up leaving. Front office said they called and talked to a lady on my phone (accused my wife) but we did not receive a call and my wife never answered my phone. We looked through voicemails and emails and nothing.

So many great amenities for families!

Fun property for families. Rooms need some updating (beds hard as the floor) and bathroom a little old and not terribly clean. Great spot to explore this part of the island.

This is an amazing family friendly place to stay. Be ready to meet lots of other moms, dads and kids because everyone is very social. The staff here are amazing and always helpful. It was our 5th time staying here and we are returning in July with visiting family.

Amazing Has everything you need Most important, Faby at the front desk is a wonderful, amazing, woman who honestly save me and my children from homelessness. These people are kind, compassionate, and without a doubt a place i will come back to for the rest of my life. Especially because of Faby.
