Floral Shire Resort

Very relaxing and quiet

It was fine. Though I did get a queen room but ended up with 2 twins, so I wasnt happy about that but I came off of a 16 hour flight and didn't care to complain. I wouldn't recommend the place. It smelled musty and wasn't terribly comfortable. Will do in a pinch but there better places out there.

Rooms old could do with a make over staff were great

Very out of the way from where the good stuff is

"I recently stayed at the Floral Shire Resort in Bangkok, and while the hotel itself is a bit old, it has its charms. The location is quite good, making it easy to explore the city. One of the standout features is the airport transfer facility, which adds a lot of convenience to the stay. Overall, if you're looking for a place with a great location and helpful services, this hotel is worth considering.

This is a property that I have used for many years. It is clean, economical and basic. It provides the transit traveler a quiet, night (or day) of lodging very close to to the Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok. Use have to book a taxi from the aurport for 300 bhat and hotel has return shuttle for 150 bhat. Great.staff

Pro: hot water, cold A/C, comfortable bed, reasonably clean room, balcony with minimal bird droppings. Con: shower room needs thorough scrubbing with bleach

Everything is as usual

I have stayed here many times. Close to airport, affordable, clean wirh great staff!

Great location and easy to walk to touristy area

Clean and people here they're friendly

Overall a nice place providing basic amenities. Biggest con is the airplane noise overhead so if you are a light sleeper may want to look elsewhere. Recommended otherwise.

It was clean and tidy. I was in transit and it fitted in well.

I found the room to be very clean and comfortable. It's not a fancy place ($21.00 CDN) but it is only a . 15-min. taxi ride from the airport to the hotel @ 500 baht (but the service to the airport was only a 150 baht). It was slso very quiet - perfect for a short layover!

Convenient location for food, near airport.

Love the stay very close to the Airport. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is very clean which is a big plus for me.

friendly

I used to enjoy staying here but not anymore. There is no longer a free shuttle and it was a hassle getting a taxi. The reception area is a long way from the entrance and the receptionist was abrupt and unwelcoming. There is no restaurant for a meal at night so you have to walk 15 minutes down to the main road to find a Family. Mart. The room was jaded with old marked furniture and stains on the bed linen. The tv was old with no English speaking channels and the room was not set up for ease of use or any comforts. Still no hand soap in the bathroom. Time to find another hotel.

When I arrived the boy helped me with my luggage, and the receptionist was good

The place is nothing as what they show - For the price I can understand but also advertise as free shuttle to and from airport and they don’t they charge you 150 per room. And pick up even if you want to pay they do not. Location is not nice scary at night not easy to find it.

It didnt have restaurant as advertised

Very basic hotel, good location for one nights layover to the airport. Paid 150 THB for the airport shuttle drop-off service. Some nearby restaurant and shops.

Poor service

The staff was excellent, they printed my covid test forms when nothing else was open. The room was nice and clean. There were many aggressive stray dogs between the hotel and the main road however, so walking to get food or anything else was sketchy, particularly at night.

Room was dirty. Splatters on the wall that looked like coffee and the floors were not clean.

My first impression was very bad. We arrived about 21:40, and the hotel was at the end of a small road, they were growing lettuce in the car park, inside was very bare, and staff weren't dressed very smartly. Check in was quite painless, and room occupancy was as we required, which surprised me. Lift to to rooms only took 2 people at a time, and it was actually faster for some to walk up the stairs. The rooms were very basic, but the beds were very comfortable, and I slept like a baby. My 'city view' was a wall about 10' away. Breakfast looked OK in the advert when we booked - roof terrace/buffet. In reality (I assume because of Covid) it was served in our rooms.

All the crew was not kind. We paid on night just to prepare to our flight without even sleep in this night. Other friend come for a little visit to be with us, They wanted us to pay for another room for the night. In those hard days with the corona virus it was descasting behaviour and i was felt disappointed. Don't go there!!!!

Good service but far from airport.

Stay was ok.

We arrived late into evening and tried to contact the hotel for a airport pick-up and no one answered the phone. Although this service is advertised, it's not available. I discussed this with the front desk when we arrived but the staff was very dismissive. Don't think that you're going to get a ride to the hotel. The room was clean but rather bare.

It was convenient to the airport and had 24 hour shuttle service. A few restaurants were in walking distance.

Great price...great staff! I have stayed here many times as I travel through Thailand...it is close to the airport and convenient.

I arrived at BKK just after midnight and they had shuttle service ready. The room was basic but clean. I had a connecting flight to catch the next day so I didn't spend much time around the property or check out the area. The shuttle to the hotel was included and the shuttle to the airport costs 100 baht per room, with service offered hourly. They also offer breakfast for 100 baht.

Great spot near airport. Simple and budget and shuttle from airport was easy

Just a one night stay before flight in the morning. It was OK. Room was infested with some insect and woke up with bugs crawling over bed and walls. Shuttle bus service included in the price of hotel to Bangkok Airport.

Property is nice and the staff was plesent and helpful.

Arrived from australia at around 7.00 pm got through customs ect then went to meeting point and got free shuttle bus to hotel ,very friendly staff had a good breakfast in the morning and a 5 dollar ride back to catch the bts into bangkok ,clean rooms ,elevator for easy acces to upper floors with luggage will stay here again .

Big and clean but dated room, not too dissimilar from a lot of south East Asian properties. We stayed here over night because it was close to the airport. Airport shuttle wasn’t easy and there was a lot of searching and waiting on our part. Reception staff were also very rude and abrupt.

Let’s start with the good, the air con worked very well! The room was really hot when I arrived and it cooled down within 10 minutes so that’s great! That’s about it for the good. The bad, the staff are really not very friendly. I’m not sure what’s happened here but everyone is super unfriendly and quite rude. The taxi guy was waiting for a tip, after not speaking or interacting in any way on the journey, not even opening the door or helping with luggage. Then glared at me when I didn’t give him a tip. The front desk guy hardly spoke, only to say passport please. And literally that was it. I would not recommend staying here and I will never return. The room is clean, a bit tired, but size is ok. There are a lot of options around here for airport stays, don’t waste your time with this one.

Floral Shire Hotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Soi Latkrabang 42 Latkrabang Road It’s “about” 10-15 minutes from the MAIN Bangkok Airport; Suvarnabhumi Airport. I “Booked” it with someone…advertisement = Standard Double Room - FREE one way airport! It was advertised at 585 Baht BUT it cost 685 Baht BECAUSE there IS NO FREE airport pickup! It costs 100 Baht to get to the airport! Old fashioned TV with 2 English channels & lots of Thai channels, 2 free glasses of water (The GOOD kind where they recycle the bottles & get them back), 2 twins beds pushed together, lockable closet (Bring your own chain & lock), desk & mini-fridge. The bathroom has; tissue, 2 towels, liquid soap & shampoo in shower. I booked it with the understanding I’d get a FREE airport pickup. It’s okay-close to the airport. They DID make the wake-up call. Okay!

We stayed 1 night. Property was clean and safe with very helpful front desk employees. Sheets and beds were very clean and the place is bug free. The bathroom tile needs a good scrub due to soap and mildew buildup but its in small places. They offer a shuttle for free or you can take a taxi for about 150 baht.

Reasonable price and clean. Very out of the way location, unpleasant smell, inadequate cooling from A/C, weak WiFi.

It was located in a residential area. It doesn't look brand new but everything works and was clean enough for us for the price that we paid. We stayed there for a short night as we were in transit and did not want to sleep overnight at the airport. It is about 15 mins away from BKK airport. They also provided free shuttle service to and from the airport every half hourly. Overall, wouldn't mind staying here again.

This place is at the end of a soi quite a walk to the main street where food and drink is available. A shuttle is available because walking after dark wouldn’t be a good idea. The room is adequate except it has a peculiar smell and the A/C works but not that well. It is clean but worn.

Extremely rude behaviour by the staff and they know nothing about hospitality. Never have I come across such rude behaviour. Your welcome to stay in this hotel if you wish to ruin your vacation. Note: They serve one horrible breakfast and the rooms are below average to take a nap during transit

Location... shops at the end of the road... Room was quiet.

We stayed at this hotel the night before an early flight out of Bangkok. Reception staff were very helpful. Quick check in. Very spacious rooms, comfortable beds. Free airport transfer one way which is the main reason we chose this hotel. A good find.

For convenience to airport, it was fine for a short stay. Rooms are old and basic. Transfer to airport was good.

The room was clean, the driver and receptionist friendly. The bed was a little hard but I only stayed there 5 hours. Recommended for a quick stop over.

Not good

Location is decent. Rooms are just okayish. decent for a nights sleep. However, the problem is: the complimentary shuttle service from airport is a headache. The stuff pushed me back physically on questioning about the pick up time, was rude, and we had to wait for one good hour.

This hotel is fine for an overnight stay for a layover but it was in the middle of nowhere and we arrived at 11pm and there was no food available except to walk down a dark narrow alleyway filled with stray dogs for a kilometer to the main street. Overall the room was okay, it was clean and we had a good sleep before our flight the next day.

Not as good as I hoped. Bed was hard, old TV, old furniture and condition. Had really good food/room service and airport service.

Nice clean room, good breakfast. Close to airport.

People who must take airplane in the early hours at Suvarnabhumi can come in the Floral Shire Hotel. Because have everything you need. Air conditioning, Soft Bed, Good shower and good toilet. Have continental breakfast, have Shuttle van for airport every hour 4 am 5 am 6 am 7 am, etc. 24 hours. Have dinner for 80 bath, have free water, free coffe, hair dryer, the forniture are new, because this hotel renovated the rooms 1 year ago. Mi è piaciuto molto a differenza di chi dice che è tutto brutto.Vale il prezzo di 20€ circa che si paga.

This hotel was exactly what we needed: very close to the airport with a shuttle service to and from. For the price we paid, we were very happy with the room and the service. The only complaint is that the person we met with at the airport (to order our shuttle around 2am) wasn’t very friendly.

Price , large room, free shuttle from airport, breakfast

Pros: Close to BKK airport; free airport shuttle; excellent staff; prompt check in. Cons: Surrounding area deserted; far from main street; clean but overall so so

We stayed just one night before flying out in the morning, but there were ants walking across our bed and through our room. The staff barely understands any English, so it was very hard to make them understand the problem. All they ended up doing was remake the bed. This isn’t a resort, not in the slightest, just a hotel with hard beds and ants crawling everywhere.. Needless to say we didn’t have a good night.

Same issues as mentioned in previous review: - hotel is old and tired-looking - bed and pillow uncomfortable - air conditioning is noisy and the room takes a long time to cool down - unhelpful staff led me up 3 flights of stairs to my room but never offered to help carry my luggage You’ll get some sleep, but it may not be quality sleep. At least the room was fairly clean. Stayed here so that I could go back to the airport quickly for an early flight the next day. The only thing beneficial is the free airport shuttle. My advice: do your research and find a better hotel in the area for the same price.

Only stayed here for 1 night and picked this hotel as it was close to the airport but it was probably one of the worst nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. Air con was incredibly noisy and the bed was so uncomfortable. We reported the noisy air con to reception and she was so miserable. She pretended she didn’t understand but she definitely did. I got my translator out on my phone and then she had to do something about the air con which she wasn’t happy about. The room I stayed in was massive so the room never cooled down. Even for 1 night stay, don’t bother. I thought it was quite expensive considering the above. These points I have mentioned are very basic things to get right for a pleasant stay for customers.

Unfriendly stuff and the room is dirty. The room in the picture isn’t match in real.

Dirty and outdated, terrible location. Staff indifferent.

I found the hotel average, it seemed pretty old and i noticed ants on one of the work tops in the breakfast room which i find pretty disgusting.

Nice exterior. Pick up from the airport a plus. But that is it. The lady at the airport who was arranging the pick ups simply didn’t want to be there. The small Hotel name board was even covered by some other paper and wasn’t visible. One had ask others who was there on behalf of Floral Suites to arrange pick up and then too she wouldn’t get up from the corner she was lounging in. The hotel reception wasn’t much better. The only thing she cared about and insisted on is for me to tell her exactly what time I would check out. My telling her that since I had time till noon, I will check out at my convenience and take the next available bus to the airport or arrange for a taxi didn’t go well with her. Then it went further down hill. The room appeared neat but it wasn’t clean. There were stains on the top sheet, holes (quite big ones) in the bottom sheet. AVOID. STAY AWAY. ACTUALLY, RUN AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY.

It was comfortable and relaxing.

Its near to airport...

Hooray, they have got now a lift, which helps a lot when you are in the 4th floor. The rest is pretty unchanged including lousy TV channels. The 8 am bus was booked out to a group of Chinese, they could have gone twice but no. So we had to get up early for the7 am run, therefore no B/F in the hotel but a 50 THB meal in the airport foodhall.

Near to airport.

This hotel is nearby the airport and the shuttle is very convenient

Restaurant on site. Convenient to bars and restaurants.

The checking lady was extremely rude to the point of almost yelling at a simple checkin process.

Reasonable budget hotel near the BKK airport. Downtown accessible by train from the airport. Spacious and clean room with flash water heater in the shower. The AC was a bit too chilly for my taste and I couldn't seem to get it turned down enough.

Please have vegetarian options for the meals. Thank you

My arrival in bangkok was 12.30 AM and hence i choose Floral Shire resort. Its very near to Airport and they provide complementary Airport Shuttle running on fix intervals. Rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast does not have much options but they help you to provide best one.

This is a value for money hotel with nothing to complain. Free shuttle to/fro airport as well. Room was huge with couple of balconies as well. There was two pair of double bed. One of which was in upper area which can be accessed via stair in the room. Basic breakfast was included as well.

Airport shuttle excellent. Room and facilities fine, breakfast ok

Great service but too far from shops and food stop.

I chose this hotel to be near the airport, ready for a flight the following day. It served my needs well and offers good value. My room was quite large and well equipped for the price. Wifi was available in the room. The hotel offers a limited menu in its restaurant. If you are prepared to take a 10 minute walk to the main road, there is a nice small restaurant on the left, which offers a greater variety of meals, both Thai and Western.

Cheap and cheerful

Close to the airport and free shuttle, the place is reasonably clean to sleep overnight for early a morning flight.

Solid hotel - adequate breakfast; big comfortable bed; lots of hot water. Overall a nice value. Would stay again.

Quiet and convenient location, with restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Free shuttle to airport provides excellent service.

We booked two rooms. The hotel is very conveniently located to stay for one night if you are flying from BKK. Staff is neither friendly nor rude. Breakfast is ok. Rooms are clean. Bathrooms are not very clean, soap is not provided, towels are old and washed million times.

Nice, convenient hotel, close to the airport. Pleasant and efficient staff. The airport shuttle was great, pick up was fairly quick. Nice selection of food stalls just down the lane and a 7/11.

Very convenient from the airport, which is 15mins away by airport shuttle. There is an hourly shuttle to and from the airport. Check-in was smooth & quick, room & bathroom was spotless, extremely clean. Bed was firm & I slept very well. Great value and all basic amenities were provided for a comfortable stay. Very quiet, as it was away from the main road. Thank you for an extremely pleasant stay.

it is a good budget hotel. stay 1 night before next day flight. they also provide shuttle car from and to the airport.

This hotel looks nothing like the pictures! There was mold in the bathroom and the rooms are very outdated. Upon checking in the lady was so rude we didn't know what to do. The only friendly staff was the ladies in the kitchen, and the only plus about this hotel is the breakfast eggs. Will not stay here again.

She doesn’t know how to greet, how to deal with customers, and how to behave as a human. It says “free shuttle” on the internet, but it doesn’t include a way to go back to the airport. It doesn’t seem to be safe to walk around the hotel in the evening.

Loved the loft in our room... we almost wish we could stay longer than one night!

Whilst there's not a great deal around this hotel, it's ideal for staying at if you have an early flight from Suvarnabhumi airport. I fly into & out of Bangkok fairly regularly & always stay here - it's clean, there's a free shuttle, & it takes 10 minutes to get to the airport.

I got in late and the service was very good.

A little too far from town/mall to walk. A taxi or scooter taxi can get you around. Main reason I booked, hotel close to Bangkok Airport and has shuttle service.

Room is not clean and smells bad The person at the desk was very rude Not a lot of options for breakfast

Basic hotel for an overnight stay near the airport.

Traveling back home and had a 12 hour lay over in Bangkok; we decided to book a room to house our luggage and have a place to shower before our plane departed. Did not stay here very much but the hotel offers some amenities, i.e. roundtrip pick up / drop off from airport complimentary. On their page the have a misleading article; They advertise they have a shuttle that brings you around to local areas. In truth it is a golf cart that goes down a long road to get, to and from the hotel, about 200M.

Best part was great AC. They were kind enough to offer a golf cart ride to main street to get a taxi. Do include to/from airport transportation. Breakfast is included if you want the same exact tasteless food everyday. No pool. Minimalist room. Did include as couple beers and water in room.

Its great stay within budget. Free breakfast and airport shuttle saves a lot of money. Hotel rooms are great but staff don't speak much English and don't communicate most of the time. Rest is everything 5 * from my side.

We had one night before a flight and regret choosing this hotel. The girl that works at the front desk is horribly rude and unhelpful. We arrived at 10pm and were told the kitchen had run out of food even though it was supposed to be open until midnight. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere so we weren’t able to get dinner. The bed is rock hard and they wouldn’t let us switch rooms to try another bed. Breakfast was basic but we were happy to eat something by that point. The staff and the hard bed really made this overnight a bad experience for us.

Nice hotel with shuttle service. However, I would not recommend eating there. When I arrived at 9m, a young girl was behind the desk in the restaurant. She was very polite but spoke minimal English. Seating was on lawn chairs.
