A lovely country house hotel in an idilic location. The room was a good size and clean. Great shower. The bar was nice and had a great buzz about it. The self service breakfast was lovely all the cooked items being fresh out on the servery.

Lovely location. Good value. Bit too early checking out 10 am.

The bed was so uncomfortable and the food in the restaurant was not very appealing at all , no information given at reception regarding the restaurant or how you had to buy a food voucher and that’s if you wanted to eat . We only found that out by trying H to find the restaurant ourself .food choice was awful so we ended up having to drive and eat out

We were able to book very last minute for a reasonable price . Booking was very easy . We arrived to early to check in, the lady on reception was extremely nice and helpful and let us know everything we needed to do . Check In in later that day was very simply and quick . The room was basic but fine and did us for the night .

When we went down for breakfast my friend informed the lady taking room numbers that her daughter had a severe nut allergy and asked if she could confirm what foods were safe . The staff number was vague in her response . She said “I think you’d have to ask the chef , I think there’s some allergy guidance but it’s maybe at reception “ she did not point out the chef , offer to get the chef for speak to him , she did not offer to get any allergy information , she was polite but hopeless . This means then we had to travel to a near buy town in order to get safe food for my friend’s daughter . While I am aware there were some allergy advice posters behind the cereal … the staff must be more proactive and informed on how to respond to allergy Requests , as this is quite literally a potential life threatening issue. It was also disappointing to see the same staff member and others from the kitchen then all sit and enjoy their breakfast at a table a few feet away while not one of them was helpful . Really very disappointing and for future guests this must be addressed .

Adamton Country House was spacious, comfomfortable and had excellent value for money catering. It wasvan excellent base for our cycling holiday. The hotel permitted storage of the cyckes indoors. The food was plentiful and very good value for money. We were able to keep well nourished for our cycling. The older parts of the building had beautiful wood paneling and were appropriately and tastefully furnished.

It all very much matched our needs.

Well how can a hotel call itself dog friendly, when they don't allow pets in the eating area, when we went for breakfast we were told we would need to sit outside with the dog as that was there policy, although we were ok as our little dog was an assistant dog so reluctantly we were allowed in.

I really liked the personable welcome from the girl on the front desk! Although the coffee machines were off the manager still managed to find a way to make hot chocolates for my kids who had stood outside for hours in the cold in Ayr at the Air Show which we were grateful for.

Unfortunately, there were several things we were unhappy with. The room was cramped, the “double bed” was actually two single beds pushed together horizontally, there were marks on the walls, and the room was extremely cold. The biggest issue, however, was when the fire alarm went off in our room due to steam from the shower. The manager knocked only once before immediately entering without waiting for an answer. The bathroom was in use, people were getting changed and had just come out of the shower, and my children were getting undressed, so this felt extremely invasive and embarrassing. At checkout, I asked whether this happened often and was told by the manager that it did, as the alarm was sensitive. I suggested that a fan in the bathroom might help. Knowing that this was an ongoing issue, I would have expected the manager to be more mindful of the situation and wait for a response before entering. Overall, the experience was very uncomfortable and not what I would expect in terms of privacy, comfort or consideration.

The buffet cooked breakfast was very good. There were only 2 choices of cereal - cornflakes or muesli. Also no decaf tea or coffee.

The shower cubical wasn't totally clean, There wasn't any hairs or anything but it did need another wipe with a cloth. It just wasn't spotless.

The room 3060 was cramped and badly laid out. Car parking was a shambles. No disabled parking was indicated or found. Apparently there is an overflow car park, but it is not signposted well. Lots of signs telling guests what they can't do. No remote was found in the room for the TV. Breakfast was very basic. No pastries. No availability of special orders such as poached eggs. Poor sign posting for finding reception. Nobody available at desk for checkout. From start to finish, this "Britannia" chain hotel makes you feel like you are an inconvenience. A poorly run hotel built to make money for the owners rather than provide any courtesy or guest services. Won't be staying again.

The staff went out of their way to provide meals for one of my friends who was Dairy intolerant. They ensured that she had a choice of meals throughout our stay. The room was very clean and the staff provided extra pillows and towels when we requested them. The grounds are beautifully kept and a bonus to walk around.

The stunning main building..and the decor in main building and the scenery around..bedroom was very comfortable and the room we had had no passers-bys due to were it was situated

Bedroom was really small and could be doing with a little upgrade. Very basic Also extension to main building doesn't blend in..looks very clinical Overly priced for one night and you had to pay for breakfast as it wasn't included

Bit out dated small rooms bathroom was nice but door didn't shut lock to the room needs wd40 very basic furniture 2 beds pushed together stark walls for the grandure of a country house no feeling to it.

We arrived late so were glad the staff were no nonsense and got us checked in!

Room felt a bit dated but accurate to the pictures so not a massive shock. I just didn't like the pillows, but I'm a real picky person when it comes to that. Overall, done the trick and was a decent place to rest our heads for the night.

As a hotel goes it was ok ,a wee bit out of the way but but not the end of the world the room was OK clean and tidy ,now for the bad we went to the reception to see where the restaurant was and were asked to prepay it there before heading down to the basement to what I can only describe as a works canteen the food well I say food it was the worst thing I have ever seen at a hotel restaurant what a joke never stayed left straight away and went to complain about it but it fell on deaf ears ,you can guess i wouldn't be back even if they payed me

Whole hotel and room very dated. And cheap looking. There was cobwebs in corners of room and the bed was quite hard. Was clean enough.

The accommodation wing is a wee bit tired, and the carpets could probably do with a good clean, or replacing. Was also quite a bit of noise outside our window with other guests getting on coaches early in the morning, but suppose that can't be helped

This was our third time staying and the staff and the place itself are absolutely amazing. The food and the scenery it’s just fab. The staff are always understanding and always meet your needs and provide what’s needed

Gar nichts. Wir sind nach nur einer Nacht aus dem Hotel ausgecheckt, da es einfach nur deprimierend war.

Alles war negativ. Sehr lange Wege zum.Lift, kein Zugang für Personen mit Rollator, Zimmer so eng, dass man nichts unterbringen könnte. Schrank ohne Möglichkeit etwas aufzuhängen, dreckig.

Pure dump of a place full of crack heads and when you park your car there they get a private parking company to send you a parking ticket disgrace of a place

The location was fantastic. Staff was OK, not superfriwndly but not unpleasent either, they seems superworked.

The hotel is very outdated, fornitures, beds, breakfast, decoration and smell was all back to the 70'. Cleaning was not exceptional either. If I knew would have preferred an airbnb! At breakfast one guy on the room cleaning for a huge number of tables...had to clean my table to sit and have breakfast. Breakfast was basic, poor choice and not great quality, definately no quality for money.

Un établissement "dans son jus" des années 80, vaste et un peu irréel. Une multitude de chambres. Équipements vintage mais un charme suranné certain.

L'isolation des chambres entre elles et avec le couloir laisse à désirer.

bed was comfy, bathroom and bedroom were clean and tidy. Everything I needed was accessible. Staff were lovely and smiley, had a positive attitude.

Bathroom towel had a little stain but was only on one out of four towels.

Room not cleaned when we were out all day,tea/coffee and milk were not replenished,also parking was awkward(no disabled spaces!)plus there was very little vegetarian options at breakfast (for almost £12!!)
