Very noisy as above bar. Will book second floor next time. Very thin curtains with bright street lights. Had to buy a sleep mask.

Nice typical old style town pub / Hotel with everything on your doorstep. Probably a good idea to add the nearest car Parking details and maybe arrange a parking discount as I did not see this when I booked.

The location was perfect

The view from our room window was a brick wall!!! The room itself was very small & right next to the linen closet where we got woken early by the staff talking & laughing!!!

Staff were very helpful, I phoned as I couldn’t find hotel sat nav took me to a car park, the lady came and found us and directed us to the hotel, she was lovely. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean.

Too much noise outside hotel, we faced onto the market sq. we were awaken at 5.45 with a road sweeper who constantly drove up and down the market sq until 7.30. If there are rooms which don’t overlook the street, it would be absolutely great. Did wait a very long time for breakfast we ordered at 8.10 and it finally arrived at 8.55 our bacon baps arrived.

Great Location in the centre of town. Cheap parking near by.. The rooms were clean and more than adequate for a weekend break. Hotel bar was nice and lively with the locals.

The room needed a little attention as some electrical sockets were not working and curtain pole needed fixing.

I've stayed at the hotel twice before so I guess that answers your question. I think it serves my nead well and is priced well.I will use it again whenever I'm in Spalding Thank You

There wete a couple of small repairs that needed attention, but nothing that would put me off going back.

Did not have breakfast rooms were exceptionally clean best I’ve stayed in be proud of your housekeeping

Plugs could have been nearer to mirrors for drying hair but feel like not picking with this comment

The customer service, staff, everyone made us feel welcome and helped l. Staff are friendly. The food was exceptional.

The staff and service was great as well as the Sunday Roasts.

Only one small thing, but I think it might be the same for smaller hotels, the bar didn’t stay open longer for residents.

In the town centre

Was very very warm during our stay. The rooms was sadly like a sauna. We tried with the fans which was offered by the very friendly staff. But didn’t help much

It was in the town close to the coffee bars and close to the shops very pretty place

The early morning noise at 4 am as the market sets up , especially if you are staying in one of the front rooms.

My room was a furnace. It was unbelieveably hot in that room and the windows couldn't open very far. Also a cleaning lady just barged in my room in the morning while I was half naked - she kept asking me questions and took a while to leave.

To noisy bin mean up at the crack of dawn. Dogs barking pub customers shouting out side the pib when pub closing Biggest down fall is that the business is not VAT Registered. Which means I won't be stopping at the pub again. Sorry..

The hotel is located right in the city centre. The room was spacious, very clean, and smelled fresh. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was also very good. I will definitely return to this hotel on my next visit.

We visited during a heatwave, so it would have been nice to have complimentary bottled water in the room.

Early check out, which admittedly I didn’t look at when I booked. Didn’t think anyone done 10am these days. Only one towel for two people. Given a smaller room but sold it with air conditioning, whoever we didn’t have the remote for it, and I wasn’t calling someone at 2am for a replacement.

All was really good , room was nice ,m good breakfast.

The value of the room was excellent as the location was spot on for our needs. The staff were attentive and friendly. The cleanliness was flawless and the shower was great. The bed was comfortable and everything ie. TV, fan and kettle were provided.

I didn't see a little sign above a plug socket saying not to use it until it was too late and I blew a fuse (sorry again). If the message was a bit bigger I would have seen it.

Room had no air conditioner, was over 40 degrees in room during hot weather, curtains left open, only a fan provided by no use. Impossible to stay inside room and had to leave and find another hotel

The staff were really friendly and helpful - the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming.

We spent the hottest weekend in the year here and, although I understand it's an old building the rooms did get really hot and could have done with stronger fans.

Roof terrace in Room.28 a big bonus to chill out on with a drink after dinner!!

4 flights of stairs to room 28!! Can be a little noisy early evening, but its a popular place quitens down later on! Can't separate reading light from main bedside wall light????

Room was lovely and large. Very clean! Fan in room and blanket on bed. Extra pillows. Great tray of coffee, tea and hot chocs and biscuits which is very generous and thoughtful. However, my bed was very hard and very creakey. I didn't get back to my room till late and showered so by the time I laid out on it, it was already gone 1am. So only the bed was a let down. Room and staff was great so would still recommend for price and location.

The bed very hard, uncomfortable and creakey. Also couldn't have just the bed side lamps on in the room when I tried, as no buttons just on them so main light seemed to be linked to them. And couldn't seem to get the shower to turn to cold no matter how I tried. Fab hair dryer though!!!

Red Lion Hotel exceeded my expectations. Room was perfect, atmosphere at the pub was lovely. Congratulations, I will come back!

Perfectly located for us as we were seeing a show at The South Holland Centre.

The lady at reception advised us, as we were checking in that we should probably open our window and put something in to keep it open (room number 22) as “your room is going to be hot, it’s just had new windows”. It was so hot (must be under floor piping or something?) that we could not sleep, despite following the “advice” of jarring the window open- before we went out to the show, so air had had time to get in - we were so so hot we could not sleep. It was as not to be blamed on any weather, it was some heating issue and it was just un bearable. Without water in the room or a fan - despite knowing it was going to be hot for us, none of these steps had been taken…we decided to give up and checked out at about 6.15am on the Sunday morning. It was meant to be a little romantic treat away. We dove home and got straight into bed.

Fabulous rooms, looks to be recently renovated, bathroom not as modern but still ok. I got the bedroom Jimi Hendrix stayed in and the photos up was a nice touch!

Little loud in the morning with the delivery at 8am so lots of banging, I didn’t mind it though.

the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower/bathroom facilities, including towels, were fine

Due to a private function we couldnt eat in the hotel unless we ate within minutes of arrival. There was a single chair in the room. Not a problem in itself but useless when there was a sign on it saying "chair broken." The winter olympics was on tv but the signal dropped off roughly every five minutes - very annoying.

The room was top notch very modern 👌 bathroom was extremely modern we liked it lots and the bed was comfortable and very good underlay under a good carpet

I filled th sheets for breakfast at 8am it wasn't ready i had to leave to put another parking ticket on my car as they didn't adhere to my time I wanted my breakfast, It was ready when I got back but I wasn't happy with that service, My lady stayed behind for the breakfast it turned up minutes after I left and was 2 small burgers that you can buy cheaper and looked better very disappointing finish to a good stay
