Great to have a deck looking directly to the Tasman. Food was amazing. Staff were engaged and friendly.

Rainforest room had excellent views out to the beach and a cute little round window looking out into the gardens. the gardens were kept beautifully. We loved the little water feature and tunnel to walk through. The room was very spacious and had a microwave and good size fridge, as well as plates, cutlery etc. The restaurant was great but you could also self cater with these rooms. The tiled floor of the kitchen area was warm - so nice! A lovely quiet room, very clean. A quick walk up to the pancake rock walkway. The footpath was closed due to work being done on one of the carparks but it was just as easy to walk up on the road.

The bed was a little squishy and soft for my liking but that's just my personal preference.

The hotel is perfectly situated near the Punakaiki visitor centre. There are four short walks in the area and long ones for intrepid travellers. Our unit was very comfortable and the breakfasts were superb. The local wekas greet you at the dawn and dawn. The sunsets are spectacular with clear skies.

La struttura è pulita e curata, la posizione è comoda (si trova sulla strada principale e a pochi passi dalle Pancake Rocks) e la colazione è buona, con una buona scelta. Un altro aspetto positivo è la possibilità di parcheggiare sotto la propria camera. Nel complesso, un soggiorno davvero piacevole e una struttura che ci sentiamo di consigliare.

The restaurant meal was not that great and quite pricy. It was also very loud. Had lunch at the local pub which was well worth it, wish we had returned for dinner

Excellent location....pity about grumpy receptionist....after a long drive one only wants a smile)) Great towls but....old lumpy worn bed/ furnishings... Needs a revamp for such a location. Very high restaurant prices.

Everything. From the moment we arrived and were greeted and welcomed by Ethan to our ocean view balcony room to your team and our meal in the restaurant, just perfect. I haven't felt so welcome, comfortable with best view and sooo full from our meal in a long long time. Thank you.

We had an an Ocean view room that had a view of the ocean & a huge water tank

The view of the water tank, we asked to change the room to no avail even though we were staying for 2 nights. Also there was a very strong cleaning product smell on entering

Loved the spaciousness of my unit and the balcony...ability to do own food. Rainforest unit so nice to be able to walk to restaurant and lounge. My favorite spot was in the lounge looking out to the ocean w a glass of wine. Superb meal and loved the fig chutney and honeyed walnuts on my cheese platter..would definitely stay again

Everything about this place was perfect for our family. With such quick access to the beach our boys loved it.

Die Lage ist einmalig! Unsere grossen Zimmer hatten bequeme Betten, eine kleine gut ausgestattete Küche die wir nicht brauchten, da das dem Hotel angeschlossene Restaurant hervorragend war - und eine phänomenale Aussicht aufs Meer ! Spitze! Schade, dass wir nur 1 Nacht dort waren.

Our accomodation was lovely, right on the beach. Warm and comfortable. Staff and food in the Restaurant was lovely.

We loved everything about our stay at the Scenic Hotel. We had a Suite with Sea View room up on the hill over the road from the main hotel building. There was parking outside our room. There is a tunnel walkway to the hotel if you don't drive. The room was lovely, very comfortable, great views, well appointed. We loved the comfy chairs with footstools. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious, service was good.

Access to reception and the restaurant for someone with mobility issues is via a sloping path behind the main hotel complex, otherwise you need to walk up steep steps to reception at the front of the building. There is only one carpark near the access to the path.

The hotel was ideally located for Punakaiki and visiting the sights. The room was excellent with all the amenities we needed for our two night stay. The room was clean, tidy, comfortable and warm. We really enjoyed our stay.

One night the bar was short staffed and we had to wait a while to order. When we sat in the restaurant having our drink, it was very cold. However the heating was put on for us.

Wonderful hotel by the Pancake Rocks. Very nice comfortable accommodations and restaurant. Excellent staff that took great care of us. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautifil Location, right on the beach. Fantastic room. Restaurant on site was lovely and food delicous and staff friendly and attentive. We walked to pancake Rocks after a complimentary delicious breakfast which were very surprised how lovely they were. The drive from Franz Josroh was stunning especially the apostles close to Punakaiki.

Spacious rooms! I so appreciated the room size. Great to relax and restore.

Our apartment had a breathtaking coastal view. The apartment was extremely comfortably furnished with easy chairs and footstools a plus. It was a lovely stroll through gardens to Reception and the restaurant - umbrellas were available. We enjoyed an excellent breakfast in the dining area overlooking the beach.

Hotel a beira mar, localização excelente. Nosso quarto era bom com linda vista, mas ficava do outro lado da rodovia.

O box do banheiro vazava água pra fora e o chuveiro era muito baixo. Nossa pia estava entupida. O fato do quarto ser do outro lado da rodovia, ficávamos isolados do corpo central do hotel onde havia os restaurantes.

On arrival our room smelt strongly of bleach. We assumed it was because it had just been cleaned. However, on returning to our room later in the evening the bleach smell lingered and there was a very unpleasant funky smell in the bathroom that remained . ? Drains.
