The staff at the pools serving area and balcony on ground floor were not very attentive, the public toilets were not well kept. We felt the food served was extremely over priced without it being anything fantastic.

The view from our room was beautiful. The hotel staff was excellent. The food was brought out very quickly.

The service at the pool was outrageous. They never came to give us towels or ask if we wanted anything to drink. One of the guys working there was intrusive.

The breakfast offered a good variety. Around 9:00 a.m. the restaurant was quite crowded, but it was still possible to find a free table. The food at both the hotel restaurant and the poolside restaurant was good, and overall everything was of a very high standard. We would especially like to praise the young men and women working at the beach — they were absolutely fantastic, very friendly and helpful.

The only downside was the wellness centre: the massage prices were excessively high, especially compared with wellness services we have experienced at many hotels around the world.

This Hotel is in a class of its own . Had my first Spa day in this hotel and honestly it couldn't have been better . First impressions count .. Roxani lady on the Reception knows how to treat her guests .Polite , cheerful, helpful , kind , genuine smile , professionalism certainly was a good start to my experience . All week had breakfast in the upstairs outdoor cafe brilliant view , super comfy chairs 100% customer satisfaction from polite Alexandros his huge smile lit up the room even though we were first customers . Not forgetting all the other kind staff we encountered. Have eaten here many times over the years .

В резервацията изрично посочих, че едната стая ще се ползва от трима. Когато пристигнахме стаята не беше оборудвана за трима. Чакахме над един час. До напускането не получихме трети халат. Едната нощна лампа нямаше работеща крушка. Уведомих веднага рецепцията, но до напускането никой не подмени крушката. Хотелът беше изключително шумен. Персоналът не направи нищо. Усещането беше като престой в хотел средна дори ниска категория.

The pool area is good and the staff are friendly. Breakfast was okay but not perfect, it was generally very crowded. The private beach was nice too Food and service at both the pool and the beach were fine. There are some really good restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel is short drive to Glyfada. Being close to Athens, it’s ideal if you want a sea-and-pool holiday within easy reach of the city.

The room doors are paper-thin like you can hear every talk from the corridor inside the room. The rooms feel dated, the furniture is old and the doorways are very narrow. There’s no car park; it’s valet only, otherwise you park on the street.

The hotel is in an excellent location, approximately a 40-minute drive from the airport. It features large, quiet swimming pools and a private beach with sunbeds and shaded areas. The rooms are comfortable, each with a balcony and a partial sea view. The hotel is very close to Glyfada, which offers a wide variety of excellent restaurants. There are also several very good seafood restaurants along the promenade directly opposite the hotel. The hotel staff are friendly and attentive, and the breakfast is generous, delicious, and of high quality. The room was very clean . Good value for money.

Terrible hotel. Cheap cheap cheap. Don't stay here. Shower drains are clogged, rooms dirty, service is terrible and they charge you for bottles of water! Did not feel welcome at all. I was yelled at for pouring a glass of coffee from a coffee station that was setup in the lobby! Lol

Lovely hotel, beautiful rooms, breakfast excellent as were the staff serving at breakfast. Pools were gorgeous but this was let down by towels not cleared and food left on tables. My only gripe, hence the 4 stars not 5.

I think the bathrooms need renovation

We love coming back to the Divani whenever we visit Greece. They are located right next to our favourite restaurant and days unwinding by the pool at the beginning and end of our vacation are always perfect. Housekeeping is always so quick and they don’t miss the details in your room. There was also an great team at check in, both at the door and on the desk + lots of staff checking on you at breakfast.

Before this year, our last stay was in 2025. Since then they have upgraded the pool area with new floor tiling, umbrellas and chairs, plus the breakfast area was completely redone. As a consequence it was more expensive than ever to stay here however, the jump in price isn’t warranted when the room is exactly the same. As a side note, the staff by the pool were only attentive with persuasion. Additionally we had to seek out towels rather than staff greet us, the fountain in the saltwater pool was not working (it hasn’t worked since our first stay in 2021), and the lifeguard didn’t allow balls with our son but the next day a large group of adults played with a ball across the pool for 2 hours. Customer service and consistency is important and this now increased price point.

After several decades of frequenting the Divani Apollon - and often being critical of it - have to concede that they have made many needed improvements. The front desk staff are much more pleasant and the renovations in the breakfast area are nicely done. The new underground gym is wonderful and the pool and beach areas are lovely. The service staff were always good - and they remain so. Presumably the improvements are borne of the intensifying competition in the area, but nevertheless they are welcome. The one last area to perhaps work on is the patio restaurant’s quality of food - it could be improved. Otherwise, well done.

Firstly the staff were great and super friendly, very welcoming and accommodating. It was like a big family. The facilities were all superb and family friendly, the pools, the best beach, the sun loungers, the breakfast. Me and my family had an amazing time and are already looking forward to coming back again and again.

Nothing, however, I only found out that there was a tennis court and a baby sitting service after we left when I was filling in the hotel feedback. I would have really appreciated being told this info especially that we arrived with a tennis racket and a child as we would have loved to be able to make use of both!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Pool Experience & Outstanding Service We had a wonderful stay at the Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was the beautiful pool area and the exceptional service. A very special thank you to Petros, who looked after us throughout the day by the pool. He was incredibly warm, attentive, professional and genuinely cared about making sure we had everything we needed. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and his friendly personality made every day by the pool even more enjoyable. He is a real credit to the hotel. The pool facilities are fantastic, with plenty of comfortable loungers, beautiful views over the sea, excellent food and drinks, and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect place to unwind. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location on the Athenian Riviera, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would happily return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Athens. Thank you again to Petros for making our holiday so memorable!

The staff are all very kind and friendly, and efficient. All the receptionist are helpful, and calm, and the bar and restaurant staff are lovely. The young lady in the boutique is also kind. The pool is kept spotless, the breakfast is lovely, there’s some reviews saying ‘oh, no short order chef for eggs! That’s terrible!’ but really it’s a very very small inconvenience. They can do you an omlette, and fried and scrambled are on offer. The cold selection (more Greek) Manouri cheese/cucumber etc is fresh and replenished often. Very good selection of breads to toast and nice little baked goods. Breakfast is a highlight!

The only thing that lets this hotel down a little is the regular restaurant food, outwith breakfast service. It’s not Five Star quality unfortunately. We chose a selection of dishes during our stay; the caesar salad is particularly unconventional, featuring sweetcorn. The food is really overly salted. It’s a shame, as the setting, the drinks, the breakfast and the staff are all incredibly good. Instead, eat at the nearby restaurants; we had a very nice lunch in one by the seafront, just as the path cuts down to the seashore. Can’t remember the name, but you should do this instead of ordering food here, unfortunately.

Wouldn’t stay here again if I was paid to. The food is terrible, the service even worse. Upon arrival there were several bellhops available but none offered to help with our bags or even held door open. I’ve never had to carry my own bags to my room in a "5 start hotel". After getting to our room , it smelled stale and of cigarette smoke. There was a complimentary dessert left in our room, however we couldn’t enjoy it bc it had several strands of hair on it. Not only did the drain in our bathroom sink not work, but housekeeping never stocked with enough towels for 2 guest and never refilled the shower amenities. Finally on our final night, we ate out at a restaurant and I wanted to eat my leftovers I call room service and request silverware and salt and pepper and was greeted by a rude waiter, I was then told he was doing me a favor and next time I would be charged $30 for salt / pepper and eating utensils.

I have stayed in many 5-star hotels over the years, but unfortunately, this was one of the most disappinting experiences I've had. The service was consistently slow. Every time we ordered food or drinks, it took around 45 minutes to arrive, even for relatively simple items. This became frustrating during our stay. What surprised me the most was the water policy. Complimentary water was only provided on the first day. For the rest of our stay, we were expected to pay for even the small 200 ml cartons of water. I've never experienced this at a 5-star hotel before, and it felt incredibly petty and out of keeping with the standard of hospitality you would expect. eg 2 cartons of water (200ml) 12 EUROS-in the end, we resorted to the closest mini market Overall, while the hotel may have some positive aspects, the poor service and penny-pinching approach significantly affected our experience. Based on my stay, I would not consider this to be a true 5-star experience.

I like the pool and it’s clean.

It looks old and do not think it is worth the money . In booking it oooks like the beach is from hotel, but in reality it’s under way and it’s so small, no space if you late.

The bedding provided for the additional bed was poor quality and the blanket was just unacceptable.

Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt hier nicht. Bei einer Deluxe Suite für mehr als EUR 1600 pro Nacht kann man erwarten, dass wirklich alles passt und nicht das bspw die Wassertemperatur der Dusche um einige Grad oszilliert. Ebenfalls der Service im Restaurant und in der Bar ist nicht dem Preis angemessen.

Excellent but overrated hotel

There has been a huge improvement on the service and upgrades on the restaurant Anemos. The new restaurant manager is great and the staff and service were excellent.

The location is quite good. The beach and pool facilities are more than sufficient. The service at the beach, especially the bar and overall beach service, could be better. The hotel is clean, and the breakfast is very extensive and enjoyable. The concierge staff is generally helpful. Overall, it was a trip I was satisfied with.

My girlfriend forgot a valuable bag in the hotel room. The room I stayed in was quite an expensive one. When we called the hotel the morning after check-out, we were told that the bag was not found in the room, which is almost impossible. I would have expected them to be more responsible and attentive in handling such a situation. Their attitude regarding the lost item was disappointing and upsetting for us.

Die Aussicht aufs Meer mit Balkon war atemberaubend schön! Die Kaffeemaschine und jeden Tag neue Wasserflaschen habe ich als sehr geschätzt. Der Manager hat mich persönlich angerufen, um mit mir zu sprechen, da ich mich beim einchecken beschwert hatte. An dieser Stelle ein herzliches Dankeschön für diese Dienstleistung und Aufmerksamkeit!

Die Fenster und Nachttischablagen waren nicht sauber. Und um an Informationen rund um Spa und Hotel zu erhalten, musste man ein QR Code scannen, der bei mir nicht funktioniert hat. ( womit ich per Telefon die Speisekarte vorgelesen bekam) Und bei der Spa Reception hatte ich das Handy nicht dabei. In solchen Situationen sehne ich mich nach den alten Zeiten in 5 Sterne Hotels, wo es eine Mappe mit allen Informationen, schön dokumentiert, gab. Das Wasser im Swimmingpool war zu kalt ( April), um schwimmen zu können.

Our flight was canceled, and the airline accommodated us in this hotel. I work in the hotel industry and am part of hotel management, so my comments are purely professional and reflect the many aspects of the hotel that I genuinely appreciated. The bar staff were wonderful, and the bellmen at the reception were equally excellent. The older gentleman working at the reception on April 18th provided extremely helpful and clear advice for last-minute sightseeing, which I greatly appreciated. The hotel room and its amenities were phenomenal. Personally, I really enjoyed the hotel and its amenities, so it was disappointing to experience such unpleasant behavior from some staff. Small gestures matter a great deal in hospitality, and even minor lapses can leave a lasting impression. However, there were a few negatives. The ladies at the reception on April 18th seemed to treat us as if we did not belong there due to the circumstances of our arrival. During the check-in of our group, one staff member even interrupted the process to tell another gentleman that he had priority, which felt abrupt and unnecessarily dismissive. The information provided was very curt and impolite. On the morning of check-out, April 19th, I asked a lady at the reception where the coffee for our group was, as we had been instructed. She replied, “It’s there, you are late, the bus is leaving, everyone is already going.” There were still five minutes before departure, and her manner of speaking was unnecessary and rude. Regardless of whether guests are at your hotel by choice or due to unforeseen circumstances, your attitude toward them should always be consistent, because every guest is a potential future guest.

Divani Apollon Palace & Thalasso is a mixed bag. While the name suggests royalty, calling it a "palace" feels like an overstatement. The rooms are quite dated and weren't what I expected from a high-end hotel; they definitely need a modern refresh. Additionally, the location is very far from Athens, so be prepared for a commute if you plan on sightseeing in the city. On the positive side, the breakfast was fairly good with a nice variety. The true standout, however, is the gym. It is absolutely amazing for a hotel and easily the highlight of the stay. It’s a decent choice if you prioritize fitness and a quiet retreat, but don't expect a modern palace.

Rooms fairly large. All have partial or full sea view. Individual aircon or heat. Hallways and most of the rooms have been renovated although one can see that the spared some cost in not renovating the doors to the rooms and the bathrooms.

The area right in front is not the nicest beach area. The Thalasso pool is not free for hotel guests and the charges are not advertised.

We stayed for 6 nights in a family suite facing the beach during the second week of April, and while the setting was beautiful, the overall experience was mixed. ✅ What I liked The staff were consistently polite, welcoming, and helpful, which made a very positive impression. The hotel design is elegant and aesthetically pleasing, creating a refined atmosphere. The spa services were enjoyable and professionally delivered. The beach view from our suite was a highlight, offering a relaxing and scenic experience.

Unfortunately, several issues significantly affected our stay: The shower door was old and difficult to open, and the water temperature fluctuated suddenly from warm to very hot during use. Reception sent a maintenance technician who checked the issue and said a plumber would come the next day. However, no one came. We followed up again with reception and maintenance, re-explained the issue, yet it remained unresolved for the entire 6-night stay, which is disappointing for a hotel of this category. The soundproofing in the family suite is very poor. The balcony door and room walls do not block noise, and we could clearly hear neighbors walking in their room. At night, noise from the street, beach, and nearby restaurant was very noticeable and disruptive. The gym opening hours (10:00–19:00 on weekdays) are limited and not convenient for guests who prefer early or late workouts. The main pool shown on the website belongs to the spa, meaning access requires additional payment. It is also shallow and more suitable for therapy than for swimming. The indoor pool is small and located in a confined space near the steam room, which limits the experience. Although there is underground access to the beach, the beach itself is small, not clean, and not private. It is accessible from nearby restaurants and surrounding areas, which reduces comfort and exclusivity—especially disappointing during the few sunny days we had.
