Reviewed May 30, 2026Wunderbares Hotel in Mossel Bay. Liegt etwas am Hang, dafür aber schöne Aussicht über die Bucht. Um in die City zu gelangen haben wir das Auto genutzt, mit guten Parkmöglichkeiten. Auch wegen im dunkeln zurück. Geht natürlich auch fußläufig (Berg runter/rauf). Letzte Zufahrt am Hotel ziemlich steil, aber machbar. Frühstück hervorragend. Einrichtung modern. Wir hatten einen kleinen Balkon mit klasse Aussicht. Preis/Leistung passt. Hotel bekommt somit klare Empfehlung von uns.

Reviewed May 24, 2026Die Aussicht der Unterkunft ist super! Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und das Personal super freundlich! Das Bad ist etwas älter jedoch hat uns dies nicht gestört. Wir durften spontan eine Nacht früher anreisen was wir dieser Unterkunft sehr hoch anrechnen! 🥰🙏
Es ist etwas hellhörig, was uns jedoch nicht weiter beeinträchtigt hat. In unserem Fall waren es einfach die ein oder anderen rücksichtslosen Gäste.

Nur zur Info, der Ort ist generell sehr steil, entsprechend ist der Weg zum Hotel. Auch für die Parkplätze geht es nochmal sehr steil nach oben. Dafür hat man dann eben eine tolle Aussicht. :)

The staff, especially Christina and the lady cook were very friendly and helpful (the older lady at reception less so). The breakfast was outstanding. My husband had a full cooked breakfast, while I had a delicious omelette. Toast, fruit, yoghurt, tea, coffee and fruit juice readily available. I would recommend this property. Great value for money.

Reviewed Mar 16, 2026Eigentlich alles. Ich würde die guten Bewertungen nur wiederholen. Die Unterkunft kann ruhigen Gewissens bedenkenlos gebucht werden. Einzige Ausnahme: Sie sind gehbehindert!!!
Für uns nicht relevant, aber unbedingt erwähnenswert: Der Eingangsbereich des Hauses befindet sich an der Rückseite des Gebäudes und somit oberhalb einer extrem steilen Zufahrt. Und ich meine steil! Ich habe zwei Koffer hochgeschleppt, weil oben die Stellplätze belegt waren. Ich hätte trotzdem oben ausladen sollen. Auch innerhalb des Gebäudes alles über enge Treppen. Fazit: Eine tolle Unterkunft und absolut empfehlenswert, aber bitte nicht für Personen, die in ihrer Mobilität eingeschränkt sind. Der superschöne Blick von den Balkonen und dem Frühstücksraum aufs Meer weist auf die Hanglage hin. Diese würde ich mir ohne Auto nicht antun.

It is high up on the hill but thankfully with a car that’s no problem. Staff were very nice and the breakfast was fantastic. I have already booked to come back and stay there in a week time.

The driveway up to the parking is quite scarily steep, as is the road leading up to it: we coped fine with this but a nervous or less-experienced driver might find this quite challenging!

Reviewed Dec 18, 2025Everything was perfect. Excellent service and the most beautiful view. The room was comfortable and staff cleaned the room everyday. Very good and tasty breakfast every morning. I will definitely go back and recommend Bar-T-Nique Guest House for your next visit to Mosselbay.
