Hotel Plas Hyfryd

Brrakfast was really good and they accomodated all our requests in asking for extra eggs etc. The building has loads of character and it's a friendly, relaxed but professional enviorment and the staff were all mega sweet to us all.

The mattress was hard and not comfortable.

Great breakfast and lovely staff just a shame bar closed so early.

Only a few little niggles - room in the roof space so no window, key difficult to turn to lock the door. The name on the sign board was different when I arrived so was a little confused (The Plas). Was also a little confused about how breakfast was served. No cereal, toast yoghurt etc, for self serve - these had to be ordered. Not come across this at any other hotel I've stayed at.

We had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Plas Hyfryd, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location just off the top of the high street, so handy for all the local amenities. The room was a good size and spotlessly clean, and the included breakfast was first class. This was our first stay here but we are looking forward to staying again in November. Highly recommended.

Ho pensato inizialmente a una dimenticanza e l'ho segnalato in reception, dove mi hanno detto che era strano e che avrebbero provveduto immediatamente. Dopo due ore di attesa, senza che fosse arrivato nulla, sono dovuta tornare di persona a chiedere spiegazioni, non potendo nemmeno farmi una doccia. Solo a quel punto mi è stato comunicato che la struttura ha scelto di non fornire più questi prodotti ai clienti. Trovo quantomeno scorretto che una cosa del genere non venga specificata chiaramente nell'annuncio: chi prenota una stanza d'albergo lo fa anche per non doversi portare dietro tutto da casa, e scoprire sul posto — dopo ore di attesa e rassicurazioni non mantenute — di non avere nemmeno il necessario per lavarsi è a dir poco frustrante. Un semplice avviso in fase di prenotazione avrebbe evitato tutto questo.

Blue badge parking right outside the door. I had the accessible room which was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It's a very nice looking hotel and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Very well situated for the town centre and shopping and dining areas - but just far enough not to be in the thick of it! A nice selection of hot breakfast options and very good quality. I left my trousers behind which they were happy to post back quickly just a small fee for postage.

For someone with obvious mobility issues, the accessible room was difficult to get to, no help offered in getting into the room. Also was quite noisy as next to the kitchen serving area I think! On the website it says I could have room service but it wasn't available, so I opted in for breakfast in the dining room. It was busy and they are clearly understaffed and I received things in random order, like the toast received well after the breakfast which was not even any shade of brown and I had already eaten my breakfast. The waitress took my order without writing down so there were things on my plate I didn't want - however the standard of the food was excellent - it was a shame they were so busy. The management could arrange help yourself hot drinks stations, condiments and cereal and toasting station that could allow the waiting on staff to concentrate on serving the hot food which would resolve the issue a great deal - they looked super stressed and I could see they were multitasking between serving and being on reception.

Arrived to discover restaurant was closed due to a 21st party, plus music was so loud couldn't get to sleep till 1am. We had booked 6 weeks in advance and should have been told

Breakfast can be a bit chaotic - everything is to order rather than a buffet for simpler items (eg cereal, pastries) and easy for mistakes to be made and service can vary by staff member on duty. Room surprisingly warm despite not being that warm out.

The staff were amazing. The food was amazing. The location was amazing. Lots of options of food and little cute shops. Will definitely go back.

The third bed in the room was quite uncomfortable.

It would have been much better to have some net curtains ( room 5 ) .The window is lovely but low if you're changing you have to go in the bathroom or blind down and put lights on

Hotel location excellent for town centre and nearby locations of interest. Having a railway station possibly a selling point although a long walk to reach it. Room was sensibly furnished with facilities for hot drinks. Breakfast choice was good. Not self service.

Despite it being a very busy time of the year the housekeeping staff were outstanding and somehow managed to get our rooms, 1 and 2, ready early. After five and a half hours on the road our rooms were ready so we could freshen up in good time to attend a family service at the local crematorium. This was extremely helpful and demonstrates the kindness of staff to go 'the extra mile' in order to care for guests. Many heartfelt thanks! The communication during the booking process and help in catering for an early check in was superb and much appreciated.

The bar closed really early on the Friday night by 10 pm but on the Saturday night it was open till 1 am for an event which was a house music event for the youngsters

Comfy well decorated rooms and substantial breakfast. Close to the town centre, plenty of parking and free WiFi. A classical, traditional non chain hotel with modern decor.

Very minor, being picky here: as it's old building, the floor sloped in places, and in the recent heatwaves, they were still using thick duvets.

Not being able to get to our room when we arrived back late, we had to call the emergency number and get directions (apparently we should have been told this when checking in), the lady that helped us though was amazing.

Lovely hotel, our third stay, can’t fault it

Nice comfortable room.

I received a message close to my date of arrival letting me know that my room was above a function room where a jazz night was being held. And I was welcome to cancel if I wanted. I could have been told this information immediately after booking, but I didn't have time to find somewhere else. A discount or a free drink would have been a nice gesture at least!

Musik i restaurant, så det var svært at tale sammen. Morgenmaden kom i etaper, vi måtte bede om noget af det flere gange, hvilket var ærgerligt, da det var meget lækkert.

Our room was at the front of the hotel and thought I would not sleep due to the road noise, head hit the pillow and out for the count, bed was lovely and comfortable. Don't expect a large menu as this is a small hotel, so the size of the breakfast and dinner meus suit the hotel. I can highly recommend the chicken and coconut curry, I had half rice and half chips, and was very tasty. Opt for 1 option as the chips were extra thick cut and filling. Every member of staff was very friendly, polite and very welcoming.

Nice clean room and facilities, very close to the Town Centre with ample parking and decent wi-fi. Good tasty breakfast too. We had stayed there before, and this time we used it as a base to visit the National Eisteddfod (being held near Cardigan).

Shower did not work.we showered in the morning in a different room. In the morning the lady who was manning reception who sorted out a different room for showering , took our breakfast order, brought our breakfast whilst also taking other guest orders ,cleared the tables and got the coffee machine working as it required emptying and also checked guested out.safe to say she was a busy bee.

Our room overlooked the roof, where the sun had been on there all day, it was unbearable hot with very little air. They did give us an air-conditioning unit but it didn't make any difference, I am so pleased we weren't booked in for 2 nights

Beautiful hotel , a pleasure to stay there my husband and I will definitely be returning. Spotlessly clean , first class hotel, lovely friendly staff . Gorgeous patio area with the most comfortable seats ! Also excellent breakfast !

Nothing it was perfect.

Friendly staff, helpful and polite. The facilities in the room were great. You were able to provide a fridge which was great for my husbands needs. Very attentive when I asked for sorbet (that is all my husband can eat orally).

The A/c wasn’t great but didn’t spoil our staff. The loo roll was 🤨. It would have been nice to have a full length mirror (carefully positioned) and also a better height mirror for make up.

Google maps doesn’t know where the hotel entrance is! (Not hotel’s fault but worth knowing!) Estimate an early breakfast if you aren’t sure when you might want to eat. Fridge in room would have been good.

When hosting a party, the restaurant is unavailable, loud guests in the middle of the night, thin walls but we were pre-warned that there would be a party and some noise.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. We were even able to check in early which was a huge help as we had a long journey in the morning and a wedding to attend. Beautiful hotel and excellent value for money.

Happy with everything

Lovely hotel with lovely decor. Although I missed the opportunity to have an evening meal (as I arrived too late), the breakfast in the morning was delicious. Not just a typical English breakfast but also available was salmon or smashed avocado with eggs etc. Very friendly staff, would recommend to anyone.

Great location

Breakfast was nice, speedy service and quality ingredients used. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Decor was a bit mismatched in places and some updates/ improvements needed but rooms and facilities were functional and clean.
