Reviewed Jul 14, 2026Beautiful garden, reception, Koi fish, everything was just amazing, we also loved the sprinting and pronking of the Springboks, was really beautiful to watch. All the staff were really friendly and professional. The breakfast was really good!!! The only bad thing I can say is, we should have stayed longer but that one is on us. Thank you Browns Manor, we loved our stay!

Just add microwaves in the room or have a place where we can have access to use microwave.... Breakfast time was a inconvenience for us since some meetings were starting early... A green oasis in the Kalahari - massive koi carp a reap bonus. Staff really kind and helpful. Nice clean pool with shaded area and loungers. Good quality breakfast included.

General maintenance needed particularly inside rooms as certain corners, walls and furniture are well worn. Some parts like lamps and shower head in need of repair or replacement. Need hand soap at basin, not only shower gel. Small rubbish container at tea/coffee station needed. Box of tissues in bathroom/room would be handy. Monkeys jumping on roof made noise from before sunrise waking us up. Outside area sofa cushions are well worn and thin making it uncomfortable and some plastic protectors on outside chairs are brittle and torn. Suggest that outside area - surfaces, counters, table tops and cushions get dusted daily.

Reviewed Apr 10, 2023The place was clean, peaceful and well kept. The room had all the necessary items for functionality. Wifi worked well and there was back up power for load shedding. Offer included breakfast. The room was spacious and our two year old was well accommodated. The security is great with gate access. It is close to the Kalahari Mall. There is a pool with beautiful and well kept ponds with lovely fish to see. There is also a balcony area with a cool view. The area overall is green, well kept and peaceful.
There were no lunch or dinner options available. There was also no jungle gym (playground area) as seen on the images of the place. I was looking forward to seeing it with our little one during our stay.

Reviewed Mar 13, 2020Excellent establishment with beautiful decor. Comfortable bed with a good mini bar variety. We had supper which was good. We checked in just before 17:00. Loadshedding was from 18:00-20:30 and again from 1:00-3:00. Only downside is that they cannot accommodate guests during load shedding as there was no emergency lights ,the kitchen closed because of loadshedding so no reading or watching tv or air conditioning any where.

Reviewed Oct 29, 2015Brand new furnishings and well run establishment, I loved the koi ponds and the swimming pool, but I didn't bring a swimming costume on this trip so couldn't use it, but I'd highly recommend anyone booking to bring a costume, it was 34C at night while I was there. Big thanks to the aircon in the modern room.

Reviewed Mar 3, 2015We attended a wedding of the son of very good friends. We did not have any previous experience about accommodation in Upington but found this gem! It is so tranquil and soothing to one`s soul. Entering into the premises is as if you enter another world. The grazing Springbok on the lawn, the ducks passing and the water streams and the subtropical garden!! All transport a person immediately into a state of calmness and peace. No rush whatsoever. The room is quiet and no noise from the adjacent rooms can be heard. The staff was friendly and helpful and pleasant in their assistance. We got the feeling that they are quite content to be working in this environment. Wonderful to have a TV in the room which is actually in excellent working condition and with proper Ds TV available. The breakfast was well presented and with excellent substance in a relaxing environment. Thank you ++++. Hope to see you again.

The breakfast was made to order and very tasty. The room was a good size, with a large shower, very clean and well maintained. There were amenities provided to ensure we were never cold during our stay.
