Room was not as nice as the one they gave us the last time we stayed there.

Staff was friendly and super accommodating.

Really friendly and helpful check in. We were taken to our room and shown how to work the air con and TV remote. The room was warm and inviting. Love that the kitchen could be closed off from the living/sleeping area and also loved that there was a separate toilet that could be closed off from the rest of the bathroom. Great shower and the room was serviced even though we were only there for 2 nights. Thank you :)

The only thing we could fault was that the pillows were very flat. Maybe there could be a couple of different sized pillows in the unit.

Awesome sized room 2 bedroom apartment with excellent facilities - perfect for a family stay. Lovely hosts, and very easy communication . Thank you! Would recommend.

The bathroom was a little chilly compared to the rest of the apartment but there was a timer heater so not too bad!

Great location for what we needed, staff were very friendly and it was clean it was good as we got a 3 bedroom unit.

There was nothing that we disliked it was a little outdated but was functional

We had to book last minute as the roads closed to our destination (Tekapo). The man at reception was very welcoming and kind, our rooms were perfect and so cosy. Great value for money, would definitely go back if ever to return to Ashburton

Easy to find Friendly staff Comfortable

The staff were so lovely and friendly. They even had the heaters on and curtains closed waiting our arrival. The cleaning staff were lovely and went above and beyond. Also everything we needed was there available in the room.

Fantastic friendly host, who was very welcoming. The house was a great option for a big group. Heating on before we arrived which was much appreciated. Lovely warm, comfortable stay, thank you. We would definitely stay again!

The owners were wonderful! They turned on the heating before we arrived, again on a day we were out and the weather changed to cold, fast - it was so nice coming back to a warm motel room! The 3bdrm was absolutely perfect for 2 adults, 4 children. Great value for money, had everything we needed.

Extra parking for the trailer which was handy and very helpful

Warm, clean and spacious 3bdrm. Had everything we needed. Loved my night baths. They use environmentally friendly cleaning products and recycle which is a winner for me. Room service every day. Only spoke to 1 person, reception/cleaner, maybe the owner whom was lovely and welcoming.

Only downfall was the slight odour. Like the last guests cooked fish without ventilation and it was there throughout our 3 nights.

Paid on arrival, sign offering special rates, yet unable to get special rates as I’d already booked. Refused a special deal! Didn’t want to make a scene. Looked at the offer was $100 NZ dollars cheaper. Should have gone elsewhere. In the quiet season don’t book Ahead. Plan a few places and book on the day

Awesome helpful staff

Great location, very friendly and helpful staff

The host provided a friendly kiwi welcome, the unit was warm enough with use of heat pump and electric blankets. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great sleep. Also had basic cooking facilities if you need although we didnt use them in this instance. Good shower pressure. Theres also a garden store/cafe next door.

Nothing really to fault, it is a motel. If I had to pick something it would be the bit of road noise being a unit on road side of a busy main road but wasnt enough to bother us. Also noticed some earplugs in the bedside drawer too if you wanted them which was accommodating but we didnt need them in this instance.

Convenient location to Christchurch.

The owner was absolutely lovely, was happy to give recommendations for places to go and see and restaurants to eat in. Very clean, comfy, full kitchen. One of the best places we have stayed in New Zealand. Very good value for money

It was about 20 minutes from the city Centre which if you don’t mind walking was totally fine but understandably some people may not want to walk that far.

Very convenient position on SH1. Staff were friendly and room was clean and plenty big enough for short stay. Kitchen area was well equipped.

Lovely hosts and very clean

Other reviewers said it was noisy by the road. There’s noise and there’s noise. This was insane. It was right on the road and next to the railway. It was very very loud. Handy for the highway but too loud for us. A shame as it’s a nice place.

We were visiting friends in Ashburton and stopped at the motel one night. Our host was kind and welcoming. We appreciated the milk. And thought the kitchen was well equipped.

Right on the main road so it was a little noisy. Earplugs did the trick tho for a good nights sleep.

Manager was pleasant and helpful. Clean comfortable room, nicely appointed. Smart TV with Sky Sport was nice to take advantage of since the weather was very wet.

J'ai trouvé un peu dommage qu'il n'y ai pas de place de cuisson dans la kitchenette mais seulement un micro onde mais franchement a part ca c'était très bien équipé et très agréable.
