Hotel Villa Malpensa

This hotel was very close to the airport. My husband and I stayed one night to travel to Lake Como. The staff was very accommodating to ensure that we were able to catch our train. The breakfast had many choices and have dinner the night before was wonderful.

Very close to the airport, and the shuttle was easy. The staff were very available and helpful. The restaurant served a simple but very pleasant meal. We’ll stay here again if we need a hotel near MXP.

We didn’t get much time to look around the hotel as we arrived late and needed to leave early. The staff were wonderful at assisting us with transfers. They made it easy for first timers to Milan. The room was well appointed and clean. We were leaving early for a morning flight so they provided us with a bagged breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

No hot food at 6am

The hotel is just a three-minute drive from the airport. We had a pleasant stay, the breakfast was good, and the shuttle service was excellent.

Ar condicionado central mesmo desligando pelo aparelho no quarto continuou até as 00:00 depois voltou a ligar sozinho as 06:30, foi incomodo para dormir. Preço dos pratos no restaurante não é dos mais acessíveis, uma vez que não tem opção por perto, ficamos no bar do hotel.

O Hotel é lindo!!! Quarto que ficamos tinha 2 ambientes com 1 cama king e outro com 2 camas (familia de 4 pessoas). O banheiro moderno, bonito e com uma ducha muito boa. Café da manhã delicioso com várias opções!!! Adoramos tudo!!! Shuttle bus do hotel nos buscou e levou para o aeroporto. Todos muito simpáticos!!! Parabéns à toda Equipe!!!

The grounds are beautiful! My room was spacious and comfortable. Loved having a robe and slippers. The private terrace was amazing! What a gem right by the airport without the sounds of the airport! Decent breakfast! Don’t know why so many complain about it. You’re in Italy. Calm down. Haha. Very nice staff and the bar was a plus! Highly recommend!

Difficult to find as it seems as if it is a cross between a prison and a dungeon. Access confusing. Rooms were dark, dingy and depressing. No electronic facilities -- no charging ports, etc -- of any kind.

Good value, location near the airport. Their shuttle was efficient and timely. The hotel was very ornate.

The only thing I would improve is that it wasn't clear that the airport shuttle bus is only free if you book directly or on their site. Since we used booking.com we had to pay €3.5 per person per ride. It's not expensive but it would have been nice to know ahead of time.

Accommodations were comfortable and meet my expectations for a quick overnight stay near the airport.

The staff could have been more friendly, especially the restaurant breakfast staff. Also,there is nothing close by to walk to. Without transportation, your choices for food are limited to the hotel.

Pretty from the outside. Our room was great and spacious with a balcony and smart tv and we loved it. Convenient location to MXP airport.

It never cooled off in our room. The bed and pillows were so hard and uncomfortable. The service was terrible. Difficult to get anyone to help at either front desk or bar area when it was open. We waited for over 10 minutes before anyone even came into the room. There is nothing around it, no food or restaurants at all. Not even a vending machine in the hotel. Directly next door are creepy abandoned buildings.

Camera molto piccola. Personale (sopratutto una "signora") addetta alla colazione molto scortese e maleducata. Siamo (purtroppo arrivati in sala colazione alle 10.00 in punto e ci è stato letteralmente impedito di fare colazione (pagata) e di prendere anche un solo caffè da una addetta alla colazione che in modo sgarbato e assolutamente arrogante ci ha apostrafato sul ritardo e impedito anche il solo accesso alla macchina del caffè...... Sono 10 anni che veniamo piu volte l'anno in questo hotel ma una tale maleducazione e arroganza verso dei clienti non ci era mai capitata e ci fa riflettere se tornare ancora o no.... Grazie alla gentilezza del signore alla reception ci è stato fatto almeno un caffé al bar.....

This is the regular place where I sleep before or after a flight from Malpensa to Milan. The shuttle to the hotel is convenient and essential (and I will also address this in the disadvantages).

The shuttle to (or from) the airport only operates between 5:00 AM and 11:55 PM. That is, it does not operate at night. There are many flights that also depart during these hours. A hotel whose entire audience is people arriving from flights is expected to provide a shuttle 24/7. This is the most important service of an "airport hotel" (a taxi to the airport costs 25 euros to Terminal 1, and 30 euros to Terminal 2).

Ottima posizione per andare all'aeroporto, possibilità di lasciare l'auto nel parcheggio per tutta la durata della vacanza a prezzo onesto (compresa anche la navetta per andare e tornare da Malpensa). Camera accogliente, curata e pulita. Possibilità di usufruire della piscina all'aperto, anch'essa curata, posizionata in una sorta di giardino in un contesto molto rilassante. Ristorante nella media, non eccezionale ma neanche terribile.

Per chi non riesce ad usufruire della colazione causa partenza verso Malpensa antecedente alle 6 del mattino offrono una breakfast box: idea carina ma veramente mal realizzata con succo di frutta acido, palesemente andato a male, cornetto vuoto imbustato, due (di numero) biscotti e una bottiglietta d'acqua. Se un hotel di questo calibro offre questo servizio deve essere adeguato (capisco che debba fornire prodotti confezionati perché devono poter essere trasportabili ma c'è un'altra qualità alla quale dovrebbero attingere).

It felt like we were a million miles away from the airport although it was just a short drive away. There ambience of the facility is so tranquil and both the hotel and the grounds are beautiful.

The lack of daytime catering facilities once the breakfast dining had closed at 10:00am. The staff were kind enough to provide us with coffee while we waited for our transfer to the airport in the afternoon.

Hard to believe this gem is 5 minutes from airport. Beautiful property & room. Nice modern bathroom. Great to have a fridge and kettle too, after our travels through Europe & missing this in majority of hotels.

We would have been completely happy with the property were it not for the taxi company they used when we we were leaving. We had planned to use the free hotel shuttle to airport but when asking on morning of departure what time it left we were told we should have booked and there was no room. We hadn’t been told this when checking in. So we had to ask hotel to call a taxi. I asked how much this would be and they said 25 to 30 euro. For a five minute taxi ride this seemed excessive but we had to accept. However the taxi company they called refused to drop us at departures and insisted we get out at arrivals. The taxi driver then said the fare was 50 euros. We said this was not what we had been told and she blamed the hotel. To make matters worse when my husband went to pay with his card (no choice really) he saw that she had put in 60 euros on the screen. We think she hoped he wouldn’t notice but when he did she said the extra ten euros was because it was a card. As luck would have it my husbands card didn’t work and I said I had a card but would only pay 25 euros.

We booked a transfer from the airport to the hotel, this was a very easy process and very convenient. The hotel is beautiful, we had dinner in the lovely restaurant and the food was first class. The breakfast the next morning was extremely good, a variety of hot and cold food. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice with air con and a great view of the grounds. Very conveniently located for Malpensa Airport.

The hotel is very well placed close to the airport although you would be hard pressed to know that as there is little or no disturbance from aircraft. It is a lovely building with some splendid features and set in nice grounds with free parking. There is a lovely pool too. Our room had a balcony overlooking the frontage. The food was excellent.

Disabled access with a wheelchair is a little constrained. It would be helpful to have access from the car park into the rear (pool) access so that the lift could be accessed without having to navigate the steep and part cobbled drive up to the main entrance where there is a short flight of steps as well. There was no wheelchair lift up the short flight of stairs into the restaurant/breakfast area. My wife was able to climb these stairs but anyone constrained to their wheelchair would have difficulty as a result. You will need sat nav to find it.

Beds are not confy, plastic under sheets made it feel even shabby. Dont walk from the airport- impossible danger- taxy or schutle is the correct way, even though distance is short.

Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Flughafen und ist daher ideal für einen Aufenthalt vor oder nach einem Flug. Das Personal war durchwegs sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und jederzeit hilfsbereit, sodass wir uns von Anfang an willkommen und gut aufgehoben fühlten. Besonders genossen haben wir auch die entspannte Zeit am Pool, die unseren Aufenthalt angenehm abgerundet hat. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden und können das Hotel insbesondere aufgrund der hervorragenden Lage, des freundlichen Services und der angenehmen Atmosphäre gerne weiterempfehlen.

Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt betrifft das Frühstück: Gerade am frühen Morgen wäre es wünschenswert, wenn das gesamte Frühstücksangebot bereits ab Beginn der offiziellen Frühstückszeit vollständig vorbereitet und verfügbar wäre.

Perfect location if you want to sleep near the airport. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained. They were very helpful with delivering back to me an item I forgot in my room.

The swimming pool was not open at 8 am as declared. Breakfast is in poor quality. It is a shame because with a little effort this hotel can be wonderful.

We loved the location! Although close to the Airport it felt like it was tucked away in the Countryside. The gardens at the Hotel were so beautiful and the Pool was a much needed relief arriving on a hot day. Staff at the Hotel were friendly and helpful. We had Dinner and Breakfast in the Restaurant and food was superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa.

Everything was great. The only thing I would suggest is to have some milk in the room for when we need to make a cup of tea or coffee and replace disposable cup with a crockery cup so we can enjoy more than one cup of tea or coffee.

Colazione da rinforzare, si è fatta la coda davanti all'unica macchina per il caffè e bevande calde. Avrei gradito il servizio al tavolo per espresso e cappuccino. La camera singola ha in effetti uno spazio un pò angusto, consiglio camera matrimoniale.

Siisti hotelli ja hieno ympäristö. Huone tilava ja henkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Aamupala oli ihan hyvä. Oli enemmän kuin perinteinen mannermainen aamiainen.

Kaukana kaikesta. Lähellä ei oikein mitään palveluita. Uima-allas oli hiukka rasvainen, tarvitsisi parempaa valvontaa ja ohjeistusta mitä tehdä ennen altaaseen menoa.

Alberto and the team at villa malpensa do an amazing job! Within 5 mins from Milan airport; it’s more of a country estate, than an airport hotel, which is exactly what I needed to de-jet lag Room was comfy and no problems with plane noise (slept a solid 11 hours something I never do). Used the hotel shuttle service 4 times to get around and never waited more than 5 mins, its a convenient service for airport/train access. Eat at the restaurant (rather than the bar) - good Italian food - as was the included breakfast.

Being an historic building you can get noise from other rooms so always worthwhile to travel with earplugs in case needed.
