Very old and dated rooms

The only reason to stay at this hotel is its close location to the cruise shuttles area (Largo della Pace). It badly needs to be renovated

The bathroom feels dirty. Toilet had rust stains, shower door had mould

Breakfast was very good. My husband loved the coffee. I really enjoyed the juices. Definitely didn't leave hungry.

We chose Hotel Traghetto for its convenience before our cruise embarkation, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The location is incredibly convenient—just a couple of minutes from the port bus station that takes you directly to your cruise ship. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and understanding, especially when we arrived late due to train delays. They provided us with a port map and clear directions on how to catch the bus to the ship, which made everything smooth and stress-free. Our room was big, spacious, and clean, including the bathroom. We also enjoyed a huge balcony with a great view of the port, where you can see the cruise ships lined up. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay—highly recommended for anyone cruising out of Civitavecchia.

I arrived at the hotel at 1am , my suitcase did not arrive and I was in tears on arrival, the front deck man was very empathetic and offered me advice on how to get back to the airport the next day ( I had already paid €130 from FCO taxi!) . He also allowed me to access a room for half an hour to get changed , once I returned late afternoon with my case. The hotel itself is very basic and dated however the staff were great with me. Perfect location for the cruise ship transfer bus ( which he also escorted me to , taking my case for me! ) Thank You .

The staff were very friendly and the breakfast that was included was great. This was the closes hotel to the port which was super convenient.

The shower was small, but good practice for the ship. :)

The hotel, although old was wonderfully comfortable and well maintained. Our room was large compared to modern hotel rooms. We had a balcony overlooking the main downtown area of Civitavecchia. The continental breakfast served in the morning was great. The location was perfect for leaving on a cruise ship. The free shuttle is directly across the road and taxis are available if you wish a private ride to the Cruise Port. The front desk staff were wonderfully helpful in booking our taxi, and even lifting our luggage for us. There is the convenience of a lift although there are two small flights of stairs to go up before you access the lift. Bottled water was complementary in the room fridge.

The very small shower stall could be upgraded as it is quite old.

Everyone was so kind and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. This was our first time in Rome and we WILL be back to stay at Hotel Traghetto!

Great location to get to cruise ship. The shuttle was a 5 minute walk. Great pizza restaurant right next door.

Bed was low and too hard.

Breakfast was fresh and adequate. Our room had a large balcony with views over the port. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

The staff was amazing. There was confusion with websites saying our flight was canceled but the staff held everything for us.

Appearance of interior corridors were run down, wall paper damaged and carpet ripped/stained.

Hotel older and dated. Staff was excellent. Breakfast was good. Location to cruise shuttle was excellent (very short walk). Short walk (10 minutes) to town. I would stay here again if I were getting on a cruise ship.

Hotel is One block from cruise terminal with delicious pizza right next door! Guisseppi the manager is very hospitable.

Bed was horrible. Felt like a box spring with no mattress. Made for a restless night even using our jackets as padding.

Such a gracious staff…..! Giuseppe in particular very kind. As was Luigi…..Enabled early check in because room was ready…..assisted w luggage to elevator……quiet room even though bustling traffic…..and a 10 minute walk to ferry terminal! Restaurant 50 ft. away!

The hotel is older and the beds were hard to get used to. It had charm!but has charm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed there because we taking a cruise . It was very convenient and had a very nice beach area with restaurants. We would stay there again.

Absolutely love this hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable in a room with air conditioning that actually worked. Water pressure was strong, even on the third floor. Literally nothing to complain about. Would I choose this place again? You bet!!

Good position if you go to cruiser. Just few meter far from shuttle bus. Clean, big room with good Air condition. Pizza bar is next door. Very kind staff.

This Hotel is really really old. It looks like it has never been renovated. The only reason I'm not giving this a rate of 1 is because all the staff were very nice & location is right accross the Port shuttle station. If you're the type who is not used to old places/hotels this hotel is not for you. The room & hallway smells moldy. The room is clean so

We were staying here for one night only as a stopover before our cruise. It's in a very convenient location with the cruise shuttle being just across the road. The staff are excellent, friendly & helpful. Breakfast is continental and basic but ample. Hotel itself is old but clean and comfortable. Restaurants are within walking distance. Be aware at night time of people loitering around near the hotel who will try and stop you when you're passing. They also followed us when we didn't respond but thankfully gave up. It's a quiet enough area too so maybe avoid walking at night on your own. Once you reach the main, busier area it improves. I would recommend this hotel though for it's convenience and lovely staff.

Great location. Close to seaport. 10 minute walk to central. Friendly staff having breakfast included is a bonus. Highly recommended.

Facilities could do with a bit more modernisation.

The area of the hotel from the outside looks horrible, looks like an ugly alley. The inside looks much better, the staff is welcoming and it has a nice breakfast area included. The room was nice and comfortable, the bathroom cleanness could be better but overall it was and ok experience. We stayed only one night so we managed.

We arrived to international airport in Rome the day before our cruise and spent the night at Hotel Traghetto. Excellent and convenient location if you need to get to Civitavecchia Port for your cruise. Located just a couple of walking minutes from the shuttle to the ships and across street to a drop-off to rental cars.

Location is ideal for cruisers...just one block from complimentary shuttle buses to the pier. Nice breakfast included. Quiet.

Be aware that rooms are quite dated. It hasn't stopped me from being a return visitor to the property. It is minor compared to the property's reliable convenience and value in the city.

This is a descent hotel for one night and great if you are taking a cruise the next day. You are literally 2 minutes from the cruise bus terminal. Not the best beds and the toilet kept running. You have to carry a 1 pound key chain with your room key, yes they still use a key. Breakfast was limited, but enough if you’re going on a cruise.

Older place. Ac leaked and changed rooms. New room fridge did not work. Breakfast had a good selection.
