Centrally located
Staff were not always helpful
Beautiful historical building
Breakfast slightly late at 8.30
Really good location on the main square in LaGuardia. Exceptionally clean and the wine caves were a good place for an evening glass of wine
Our room had a window to an interior courtyard so it was dark. But it was also really quiet and made for a great nights sleep.
Property was special with excellent decor.
Rooms were small and the noise from people coming in and out during the night was disturbing.
Absolutely beautiful room, the most central location in LaGuardia that can be, dedicated parking slots, amazing staff, great breakfast
Nothing, it was absolutely perfect!
Everything was great - we stayed in the "Double Room with Spa Bath" and it was beautiful - we had x2 small balconies that looked directly out into the beautiful square, and you can see the famous clock figures directly from the room. The room was very big, clean, and comfortable. It was a nice mix of traditional aesthetics with up to date amenities. The staff were really nice and helpful and helped us book transport to the vineyards. The restaurant in the hotel was also great - we sat outside in the square as the weather was good - highly recommend the caramelised brioche french toast for dessert!!

Great location, attractive room, good food and interesting wine cellar
One of the evening dining staff was too focused on his job and lacked the personal touch of the other staff.
The staff were very helpful and the hotel is in a great location
Lovely location right in the middle of such a pretty little traffic free town, does mean carrying/pulling your cases a couple of hundred metres from the nearest parking, but it's worth it. A very nice looking hotel with a very friendly welcome upon arrival leading to very comfortable rooms. Their wine cellar/bar which must extend well out under the town square outside, unless I have my bearings wrong, is an interesting place to spend a little time. The wine we were offered was very good indeed. We ate in the restaurant, the food was superb, beautifully cooked and presented by staff who were charming and humorous. I booked this hotel as a convenient stop to break the journey back to the ferry port in Bilbao, hence only a single night's stay. I wish I'd known about it before as I would have loved to stay longer. We will definitely go back and this hotel and Laguardia will be a destination in themselves Thank you for your hospitality.
I cannot think of anything that I would change
Beautiful room overlooking the main square classically furnished and well appointed.

Destaco a cave subterrânea.
It was elegant, clean and great location! Great breakfast!
Nothing
Loved it all. Old building but really well restored with obvious love and attention. Every part of it was just divine from art to table decorations and the bedrooms were really spacious. Set in centre of town. Just perfect

Fantastically located in the heart of Laguardia. This is an extraordinary little hotel, full of character, with unique architecture and beautiful décor that perfectly reflects the charm of the town. From the moment you walk in, you feel completely immersed in the atmosphere and history of Laguardia. The whole experience was wonderful, we absolutely loved our stay and would happily return.

The location is very central in this small town. The rooms were lovely; we had one facing the front and so had lovely views from our balconies. We had breakfast and dinner on both of the days we stayed and the food was tasty and there was a large selection of wines as you might expect.
Lighting in the ensuite was a bit dim.
The staff were amazing
The breakfast could of been a bit different and maybe a few variations

Wine tasting in the cellar, location
The property is in the center of Laguardia and close to everything you want to see. The room we had overlooked the square as it had a small balcony and we couldn’t up there and watch everything. Great people watching spot. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had everything we needed. Our room was large and comfortably fitted the luggage. It is located over underground wine tunnels so you could access the tunnels for a drink at night in an atmospheric place. Breakfast was a full continental plus your choice of cooked eggs. We took the option of paid parking as it is hard to find parking close by, the paid one is just outside the gate and worth every cent. The room had an old world charm, and fitted with the style of the village. There is a lift so good for taking bags to your room and an internal cog table lounge area for guests. Great if you were going there with a couple of friends,
No coffee machine or tea making in the room but there was a fridge.
Super locatie , geweldig stadje
Great location next to the fare and click. Nice staff

Excellent hotel in beautiful village. Really nice room and good breakfast. Wine cellar a welcome addition..
Minor thing but lack of tea/coffee in room.
La bañera en la habitacion. Y la uvicacion
Enjoyed a 3 night stay in this beautiful hotel. Fantastic location - situated opposite the main square. Stayed in a standard room which was comfortable and tastefully furnished. Bathroom was great - especially the shower. Air con most welcome - and an absolute necessity - as was the small fridge. Decent breakfast with a choice of cooked eggs, ham, cheeses and pastries etc - and a varied selection of fruit. Found the staff to be generally engaging and friendly. Two particularly stood out for excellent customer service. The wonderful Diego - always super friendly and helpful and Sonia who worked in the cellar bar - which is well worth a visit. Biggest disappointment was watching the World Cup Final in the bar and the quality of the TV. Possibly a 20 year old built in Samsung TV with a defect in the screen. With 20 -30 people watching and Spain being in the final, and the bar taking a lot of money you would have expected something fairly decent.
Great location and very comfortable rooms! Great bar and reception staff very helpful!
Nothing
This beautiful property was off the beaten path in wine country. Located behind the walls of the old town it is a MUST STAY in Rioja.
Muy adecuado
The staff were absolutely amazing. rooms lovely. Bathroom great shower. all good. the breakfast was a very nice continental breakfast. The location was perfect for wandering around Laguardia. It is a very nice hotel and I would recommend it xx
What a little find in the beautiful location of LaGuardia. This hotel is unique, the attention to detail incredible and the rooms were simply amazing. Totally exceptional. We loved our stay here. The staff were so helpful and lovely and our balcony overlooking the street was truly beautiful. Breakfast was great, room incredible and staff friendly and helpful. We will be back and thank you 🙏
All amazing nothing we did not like.
La cercania de la plaza
Que la ducha estaba en el jacuzzi
Absolutely fabulous hotel in the heart of Laguardia and the Spain Rioja wine region. Beautiful elegant rooms with Juliet balconies overlooking the plaza. AC, comfortable beds, a delicious restaurant and charming wine cave made this boutique hotel our most favorite accommodation in Spain.
Staff that greeted us was amazing, as they waited for us since we were coming from Pamplona. Once we entered our room the aircon was on and the room was ideal! Spacious and clean. With a balcony! Loved it!
The location was amazing, right in the centre of the village and the staff were very helpful and informative
Nothing to complain about
The staff are very friendly and helpful, from the manager to the newest employee. The rooms are very nice, the cleanliness is excellent, and don't forget to have a drink of wine in the cellar under the hotel.
Friendly staff who allowed me an early check-in. Restaurant/bar staff also very good and attentive. Rooms and hotel traditional and comfortable. Great location in the centre. Public parking 5 minutes away - easy enough with suitcase.
Todo!
Beautiful gothic type features and fun hot tub bath in the room! The wine cave was so fun to explore! And the breakfast was good and varied.
The clock tower was very quaint however does chime every 15 mins till about midnight then restarts at 8am. I would recommend if you are a light sleeper/ need an early night to use earplugs. But that is part of the charm of the place! The toilet did after 24 hours smell a bit odd!
Ottimi massaggi

Fantastic old hotel in the centre of the walled town. Very helpful staff and great food. Room was beautiful, comfortable and quiet - despite it being fiesta time! Great wine cellar!
A kettle in the room would be good. Due to the walled town parking is not very convenient, but the hotel are very helpful with this.
Excellent vintage style hotel. Really good food quality. Great location and hotel history.
Staffing outstanding. Breakfast excellent and my train schedule was too early and they prepare special meal to deliver early with the taxi schedule. Fantastic service
Perhaps I received horrible customer service because staff were attending to the other reviewers who got "luxury" service? In 30 years of traveling, from Holiday Inns, Premiere Inns, Novel, Hilton Garden Inns, Marriott Courtyard, Hiltons, Marriotts, Conrads, Ritz Carlton, the Savoy London, and boutique hotels from South Africa, Europe, Canada, New Zealand, to the USA, I have never had such bad service. Present day, this trip in Spain and France is 6 weeks long, with all other stays delightful with a mix of budget and higher. Super good stays elsewhere, zero complaints from me. Laguardia is reached by car so guaranteed to get there you put some work in to it. I rented a car and drove the scenic, windy road way to get there, several hours from San Sebastian. Their rudeness upon my arrival is singularly the worst customer service I have ever had anywhere, anytime in 30 years of travel.. It put a bad spin on my stay at their hotel and the 3 days only reinforced this nasty welcome. I was aware the hotel is in a walled city and you need to park your car outside in town and walk in. Therefore I opted online on their website to pay the extra money for "parking". I knew they did not have a garage of course, nor a valet which was totally fine. The extra euros each day must be for something so I emailed the hotel in advance asking where to park. No response. This was consistent with me emailing several days in advance asking if they knew any wineries I could visit to taste during my 3 day stay at the hotel. No response. I emailed again another day and was told not to park in reserved spots in town. While that was good to know it was not answering where to park. (I had sent my emails to the hotel in English and Spanish ( Google translate) Not knowing if the wall was right in front of the hotel I asked if I could drop the suitcase at the hotel outside the wall and go park. They said no but one person could be dropped off in front of the wall while the other finds a spot to park. I responded it was just me and a very heavy suitcase given my 6 week trip. They said I could call when I got there and someone could help me. I arrived in town, GPS took me to the wall and I called but no one answered. Clearly the hotel was way inside the walled city down a cobblestone street quite far away so I could not just leave the suitcase at the wall. I drove around and all I saw were "reserved" spots. Finally I parked in one of the "reserved" spots as I was already far from the hotel down a hill and reserved spots were the only parking spits nit taken. I parked, quickly grabbed my 45 pound suitcase, dragged it up the hill, through the walled town entrance, along the cobble stoned streets to the hotel, easily 1/4 mile in the heat. Nonetheless I was happy to see the charming area and eager to enjoy the hotel. There was no one at the front desk to check me in. I waited. Eventually a man asked if he could help me. I smiled and said i was checking in. He was nice and said he'd find someone. It was about 7pm on a Sunday night. The hotel had some people dining out front and a few people having drinks in their reception area. After a few minutes a man got behind the desk, no greeting, no smile, didn't even look at me, just quickly asked "name". I told him my first and last name. He quickly looked at their reservations and hurriedly asked "Colleen"? (Not even close to my name). I told him my name again. He found it, quickly gave me a key, gave me a ticket for a free drink and said my room was on the 3rd floor. He was ready to run off. Fine, no eye contact, no smile, no greeting, but I had to quickly get a question in before he ran off. I asked please give me some direction where to park and I told him I parked in the "reserved" spot since it was the only spot and ran up the hill with my bag and need to run back. He quickly muttered something about just drive sround go around the. circle of the walls, don't park in reserved, parking outside the wall and down some stairs. I said I didn't quite understand. He pulled out a map and drew a circle. He kept trying to just exit the desk area. I then asked where the elevator was Again, as he was dashing out of the reception area he pointed to the area just behind the reception area. I dashed up to my room, dropped my bag and ran through the cobble stoned streets, out the gate, down the hill to my car and was happy to not see a parking ticket. I randomly drive down another hill. Luckily, i saw some other tourists walking up that hill so I asked if they knew where there was parking. They said they saw a spot down that hill so I drove down and found one spot. Success. I got my exercise in --some more walking up that hill to the street and then walking up the original hill that took me to the wall, then down the cobblestone streets to the hotel. When I got to the room I could turn on the lights. I saw the holder on the wall where you would normally put your plastic hotel key, but the key given was a lovely okd school ornate key that twists the lock. I went downstairs and asked a different employee how to turn on the lights since the rude man (whose name I believe was Hamin) was not there. This employee laughed as though I should know it and said something condescending like you must put your card in the holder Puzzled, I asked what card. He asked oh you don't have a credit card? He then gave me a business paper business card to put in the holder. Great way to start 'my stay. I thought of all the budget hotels i stayed at foregoing luxury treatmentv for the pocket book and yet had really nice, friendly, welcoming service at check in with a smile, "welcome", "the elevator is over there" "enjoy your stay". Thats it. Thats all thats needed, Not knowing what the ticket got me I went down to the tiny bar for the free drink, The young woman there was so friendly and explained each ticket is one drink and one bite of food. She was your basic nice and I thanked her heartily. The room is very dark -- that was fine! That had been disclosed and i knew I picked the cheapest room. The toiletc paper dispenser was broken, but hey, there was toilet paper , so no worries. The first day housekeeping came. The second day she left towels but did not make the bed nor replace the very tiny bar if soap that started like a postage stamp but now was but coin sized. Why do others mention great service? My theory is I'm quiet, not demanding, not flashy. I did not buy dinner there, nor drinks, Ironically I saw an English couple who were buying many drinks exclaim a list of things they wanted fixed including---their broken toilet paper holder! The staff did seem to attend to the people spending money in the hotel. Before I checked out I remembered I was paying extra for "parking". I went to the front desk the night before to be sure this was not on my bill. I needed to leave early thr next day. It was about 6pm. No one was at reception. I waited . Finally a man asked if he could help. I told my question. He said someone would be at the desk jn a half hour. I returned in an hour. Waited. No one there. Finally around 8pm I went back down. A woman, maybe the owner. She looked it up , said . i wasn't charged for parking . . Great! I told her the short hand version about what happened on check in. She seemed like she didn't care at all.. I said the man might turn off other arrivals... she asked his nome. I said i think Hamin. She casually said no one by that name and just went on with her business. The bartenders in reception I asked them any questions or directions. They were terrific! The hostess at breakfast is pleasant, and helpful. The food is eh, but I didn't mind as I usually don't eat breakfast On a wine tour I heard others speak highly of the hotel at a winery . I think starts with U. Next time i'm staying at the winery. your card in the holder. I was puzzekdd and said, . dometbibg luje Hamin) .
My wife and I stayed in Room 401 for 2 nights in late May. The hotel is situated on the main square in town (Plaza Mayor), across from the Town Hall, where dancing figurines come out of a cuckoo clock at Laguardia Carillon four times daily. We enjoyed dining outside right next to the hotel at a table on the edge of the square. The hotel has an amazing collection of wines, including several we had tasted during visits to Haro and Logrono during our time in the Rioja region, and it was nice to leisurely enjoy a bottle of one of them (Cirsion, from Bodega La Roda) during our meal. The breakfast buffet was fine, though not nearly as nice as other places we stayed during our trip. Room 401 was rather unusual. It is on the top floor, so it was quiet. It has a loft, but the spiral staircase to reach it has unusually shaped and angled steps that made it challenging to ascend and descend. It has a terrace, but the view from the terrace is not particularly nice (mostly rooftops of other nearby buildings), and the outer wall of the terrace is so high that one cannot view much of anything while seated. Guests are provided a single metal keycard, and both the electricity and the water (at least in the sink) are shut down when the keycard is not in the slot. There were no washcloths or kleenex in the room, and there is no shower, just a large tub with a hand-held sprayer. As others have noted, guests have to park outside of the walls of the city, but we easily found parking a block east of the Ascensor Panorámico de Laguardia each time we returned from a drive.
Lovely Romantic type of spot ..old school Hotel with good Proper Hotel service
Nothing worth reporting ..
Location is amazing, what a beautiful town! Room was spacious and bed comfortable. But the best was the food! Fantastic restaurant.
I think you could update the decor in the rooms, and maybe hire another therapist for the spa, so couples could enjoy the treatments together.

EXCELLENT BREAKFAST INCLUDED, AC WORKED WELL
THE DOWNSTAIRS WINE CELLAR WAS VERY UNDER-THOUGHT - GREAT LOCATION BUT LIMITED SELECTION OF WINES, ONLY ONE TABLE TO ACCOMMODATE 4 OR MORE PEOPLE - COULD HAVE BEEN AN EXCELLENT WINE BAR BUT NEEDS A MUCH BETTER SELECTION OF REGIONAL WINES (SOMMOLIER INPUT WOULD HELP) - NOT BAD BUT A MISSED OPPORTUNITY TO BE GREAT
All of it - would definitely stay there again - staff fantastic
Nothing
Everything. Beautiful hotel, perfect room, great location The staff went above and beyond to take care of our every need

Meticulously maintained by the very friendly staff. Breakfast had a generous amount of food with eggs etc made to order if desired. Located in the best part of town, in front of the plaza and only a few streets from the entrance of the town. Rooms were cleaned every day with a change of towels.
I found the mattress quite hard but this is based on my personal preference. Pillows are a it lumpy.

Great location and charming building.
A little dated not really a three star hotel.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hospedería de los Parajes is an absolute gem in the heart of La Guardia. We spent two wonderful nights here, and our room — which faced the exterior courtyard — was bright, spacious, and full of charm. The hotel itself is beautifully appointed and full of character. The staff was friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. A special mention goes to Diego, who went above and beyond with fantastic local recommendations, including directing us to some truly unique wineries in the area that we never would have found on our own. The hotel restaurant was a highlight in itself — a delicious menu paired with an impressive wine list. And if you get the chance, don't miss a glass of wine in the cellar. It's a magical experience. La Guardia is a stunning medieval village with spectacular views over the Rioja region. A quick note for first-time visitors: parking is only available outside the village walls, so expect a bit of an uphill walk to reach the hotel. That said, the trade-off is a village completely free of traffic — peaceful and utterly charming. This will absolutely be our home base for future trips to Rioja. Thank you to Chari and her wonderful team for making our stay so unforgettable. We can't wait to return!
Laguardia is an absolutely gorgeous village, and this is arguably the best hotel there. The location - right in the main square - is unbeatable. Service is very good. The receptionists Andrea and Maria are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent. Two negatives: (a) unless you get a room facing the square, you’ll end up with a very dark room, with almost zero sunlight, which is rather depressing; (b) there’s no laundry service in the hotel AND in the entire village. That said, i would still recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Rioja region.
Lovely quiet bedroom. Very clean comfortable and great shower. Unique Excellent location and great staff in particular Andrea on reception. Breakfast was lovely and fresh with great coffee
Location was great and the staff were very nice
Lighting in the room was quite dark and although there are 2 windows they open to a covered area so no natural light or fresh air. We stayed in a standard room
Don't expect anything like the big hotel chain experience when you stay here. This hotel is idiosyncratic and reflects the personal taste of the owner. We had a wonderful time. The staff were all friendly and helpful and indeed endeavoured to treat us like "family" because that is the ethos of the hotel. the hotel is right in the centre of the main square of the town so is ideally situated. The downside of that is that no traffic is allowed inside the town walls so the private parking garage is some way away. i shoud also point out that some of the very luxurious rooms are completely internal, overlooking an enclosed courtyard
The location, the massage, the staff and the cellar!
The breakfast could be more rich with local products.
The location is good but it isn’t possible to drive with your luggage to the entrance
The lights in the room is dark

Struttura molto affascinante, pulito e confortevole
Precio. Muy caro. Una noche, cena y almuerzo, 2 personas, 350€.
Wonderful location within the walls of Laguardia, centrally located to everything in this charming town. The wine cave provided a quiet place for an evening glass of wine.
Instructions on parking (I asked twice before arrival) could have been a bit more clear - small details would have reduced stress (and walking distance). Our room's "view" was into the central library - wished we'd known to request an exterior-facing room.
Todo.

Location was perfect.
Some minor details - but all would be considered picky
Fabulous location in the little town. Excellent restaurant and service. Particularly enjoyed the underground cave to enjoy a drink or food. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. You can easily access outstanding Riojas wineries from the town.
Great location
Struggled with heat in room, air con a bit noisy.
We found this hotel by means of AI research. We called to make the reservation and right off the beginning, the service was very good with a good description of the rooms and amenities. They even recommended to us a guide that ended up being excellent. Once there, the rooms are very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable but the best asset of this hotel is its location smack in the middle of this unbelievable charming town which feels frozen in time since the Middle Ages. It is worth its cost and we are already wishing on returning to it one day.
