Reviewed Sep 15, 2026Nice boutique hotel very close to Balcon De Europe, it has a cafe bar on the Plaza and pool bar on rooftop. Pool is nice for a cooling dip, very clean with amazing sea views. We stayed in a standard twin room which had a modern bathroom, big balcony, comfy beds, free safe and air conditioning. Breakfast was good quality with lots of choice. Nerja is a beautiful town it has a very Spanish feel and some lovely rooftop and sea view restaurants. Beaches are shingle/sand and sea has fairly strong waves.

It was quite noisy at night with doors banging and people talking, we also had a room with an interconnecting door and we could hear our neighbours who were talking very loud. The air conditioning was not great, it worked but wasn't very cold. The pillows were very uncomfortable.

Reviewed Aug 9, 2026I have stayed in Nerja many times, both in town and in the various urbanisations. This year’s visit was to join my daughter, granddaughter and 9 month old great granddaughter for part of their holiday. They were staying overlooking The Balcon de Europa so the Mena Plaza in Plaza de España was ideal – 3/4 minutes walk. Last time I stayed in town I paid a fortune for car parking so the hotel’s on-site deal, half the price of the ayuntamiento’s daily charge with the flexibility to move in and out whenever you want, was a real bonus. It is in a superb location, a bright and modern hotel in the centre of town surrounded by cafés, bars & restaurants and a two minute stroll to the main and peripheral shopping streets. The staff were excellent, the café/bar/restaurant with tables on the Plaza was great, the car parking a blessing and it even had a rooftop terrace with a small pool and bar. Oh, I nearly forgot, there is a Carrefour Express next door. It was excellent value for money and will be my first choice when next I visit Nerja.
