Reviewed Sep 1, 2026The room was clean, tidy and spacious. I booked it as it had a Spa pool and that is excellent. Also, I liked that there was seating other than the bed as I wake much earlier than my wife and do not want to disturb her.
Not a dislike, but I would have liked a rail to get in and out of the Spa pool due to being a bit older.

Reviewed Jul 27, 2026We recently stayed at Cornwall Motor Lodge and found it to be a clean, comfortable place to stay. The staff were pleasant and welcoming, and the exterior of the property is well maintained. The location is a real highlight, being very central and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. The room itself was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and, importantly, the bed linen and towels were clean. While the interior was also clean, it is looking quite dated. A fresh coat of paint, updated window dressings, and new carpet would make a significant difference to the overall feel of the rooms. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. If you are looking for a clean, spacious, comfortable room in a very convenient location and don't mind that the décor is a little tired, Cornwall Motor Lodge is a good option.

Reviewed May 24, 2026Totally awesome place to stay - couldn't fault anything about The Cornwall Motor Lodge to be honest, wish we could have stayed longer and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for accommodation in Palmerston North! The room was exceptionally clean and very large plus it had everything in there that you could possibly want for a comfortable stay whether you chose to self cater, order meals in or eat out. Breakfast options were available for either Continental or Full Cooked - just had to leave your request with reception the night before. Location was perfect for the town, walking distance to restaurants/bars and shops. Absolutely loved the huge hot tub in the room - far exceeded our expectations! Very friendly and polite receptionist on the desk when we checked in/out and the free milk given to us upon arrival for our stay was a very welcome touch..... Thank You 😊

Nice big room with both a couch and an arm chair plus an outdoor set to use on the balcony. The spa bath within the room was awesome and you could lie here and watch TV. The room was clean and fresh. Dining table and chairs with the kitchen space. Lots of different pillows to choose from in the cupboard.
