The room is good enough and comfortable and the staff are very friendly and accomodatin
What you should give attention to is the toilet there's a smell of sewage smells sting other than that everything is all good. The food is all good. The breakfast buffet is a great choice.
Location, big room and comfy bed
Leakage in the bathroom
Location close to everything
Location
The buffet is good
The internet is very weak. Tried many times to ask at the reception but didnt do something
To noisy, thin walls
I booked a two-night stay at Diamond Hotel and Suites and later added another night. The stay itself was fine, nothing special, but what happened at check-out completely ruined the experience. Before handing back my deposit, they made me wait at the reception while housekeeping “inspected” the room. A few minutes later, the receptionist told me there was a small stain on the bedsheet and, just like that, ₱1,000 was deducted from my deposit. No discussion, no reasonable explanation—just an automatic charge. When I questioned it, the receptionist casually said this is “common in hotels in Cebu”, as if scamming guests is just part of the process. It was so mechanical, almost rehearsed, like they do this all the time. The funniest part? The hotel itself isn’t even well-maintained. There’s visible dirt and dust all over the place, yet they have the nerve to act like a small, washable stain is some kind of disaster. If they cared so much about cleanliness, maybe they should start with their own premises. To make it even more frustrating, I actually left a tip on the bed for housekeeping before checking out. The housekeeping ladies seemed like hardworking people just doing their job. Too bad the hotel’s management is more interested in squeezing money out of guests instead of running an honest business. This place could have been just another average budget hotel, but their dishonest and petty charges made sure I won’t be coming back. First and last time. There are way better options in Cebu that won’t scam you on the way out.
The cons were TV didn’t work, had to pay for a towel they said u damaged but disagreed, and room condition wasn’t the best. Overall value for where you’re at is great. Good: free parking (first come), daily room cleaning, breakfast . Across the street from Ayala . My recommendation is don’t put towels on the floor like they request for dirty towels, they might get stained by the rough condition on the floor. Will use again if they welcome me
:-)
The are is close to the shopping center
This was the Worst stay ever, air con too noisy to sleep shower dirty and smelly. They dic not change towels even though they were left out to change. I Cut stay short by 19 days , they told me they would refund those days but still a month later no promised refund. Do not stay here.
Not good place for longer stay.
One big yuck. Old, run down, eerie, this hotel needs major overhaul. They cant even buy new toilet seats.. I mean its so cheap to buy a new one why dont just get one. The beds are old like from the nineties. Poor lighting. Dont stay if you have a choice.
Gosh there comfort room is so bad
The bar was not properly stocked.
I have a very good stay at the hotel..very hospitality staff, clean rooms and big as I imagine over all is a double thumbs up for me..thank you for the staff ang security person..
Ask the staff for taxis and nearby restaurants! Basilica Del Santo Niño, Magellan's cross, National Museum, Ocean Park, Yap San Diego Ancestral House, Night Markets, and Cathedral are a 10 minute taxi away. Beach or Temple of Leah is a 45 minute taxi, but of course worth the trip. Staff went above and beyond to help with taxis, restaurants, attractions, cleaning, etc.
Property is dated. Aircon is windowtype and a bit noisy. Price was good if you are looking for affordable stay.
Great Ayala location, larger than average comfortable room and family loved the breakfast...we will stay again the next time in town.
Have stayed at Diamond Suites numerous times and have always enjoyed. Rooms are nice and the staff is fabulous. Dining is 5 star with a variety of choices.
Accommodating staff, helpful & friendly.
Service
Could have been cleaner. Fan in bathroom did not work. Overall not happy with our stay. Less than minimum standards.
Booked with family with 2 small children. Staff was good at the front desk when we came in. However when we got out of the elevator to our room, there was a certain smell you could notice already. It was ok for us adults considering the building is old. Once we got in the room, the smell just got worse. Moldy, old wood, dusty smell combined. AC released dusty smell as well. We had to open the windows but ddnt help. Dim lighting like a dungeon. Booked for 4nights and we thought maybe we could stay for a night as we were tired from a long flight and probably the smell would go away. But to our surprise when we opened the bathroom, the smell and dust just got so much worse. The towels folded were dusty, stinky and a little wet (non negotiable!). As a person in uniform, I know my husband would be ok with some discomfort or untidiness but even him could not take it anymore. Kids and I just started coughing. This is our 12th hotel since we came in the Philippines and first time we experienced such a disgusting place. Photos were deceiving. Would have been nice, location wise, as it was walking distance to Ayala. But we did not want to ruin our last days of stay in the Phils. It was cheap. But you could also get same price with other hotels that have better condition. We checked out after over an hour in that room. Told the staff of our experience and he was kind enough to offer alternative room but we prefered to just stay where we know its clean and more comfortable.
The front staff wasnt too accomodating and interested in helping us out with dining references when asked aside from referring to their own restaurant. I also asked if they have a free shuttle from hotel to airport but was told it is busy and instead recommended hiring their contact and pay $2000 for van that would take us to the airport. The bathroom floor had water leaking from somewhere. It was always soaked whenever we come back from our tours.
The first room hadn’t even been cleaned. The second wasn’t much better I went to the shops and bought antibacterial wipes and had to clean the place myself . This is the third hotel through BOOKINGs. COM that has been falsely advertised by them
The room 608 should not be given to any guest. this should be out of order and for serous renovations therfore any guest arrival will have a good experience. This property needs an executive housekeeper so badly. I am afraid for what I saw that the principle of cleaning a room upon check out is not followed here. releasing a room with this condition is unacceptable. we have a foreign guest with us and we are so embarrassed with this.
It’s fine
Good points: 1. Close to Ayala Mall like walking distance 2. Nice staff For improvement: 1. Shower didn't have enoigh pressure. At some point i had to lean against the wall to have enough water running thru my body. Had same experience with a colleague in another room. 2. Smelly couch. Had to push it out of the room. Smelled like dried sweat that seeped in to the fabric 3. Bfast was so so
nice stay. but no cable tv during the day of stay
I booked a room for 2 nights for my gf and her daughter. I know that its beyond the hotels control that they didnt have some of the facilities because of typhoon Odette, but I booked the room in the understanding that there was a gym and a pool, neither of which could be provided, This was very disappointing, my step daughter likes to swim and my gf would want her to do that to get some time for herself too. The gym being closed also was another disappointing step, because my gf was wanting to be able to work out and again I booked the room because these facilities were advertised tp be on offer. My GF had said the room itself was nice enough but was not cleaned at any point despite her contacting reception on numerous occasions and being assured that it would. The hotel generator kicked in at 7:30am with a cacophony of noise, which lasted hours. This was beyond the pale, and she complained asking to have a change of rooms but this was not accommodated. The staff were polite and agreeable but they did not do what they said they would, again this is not good enough. The location was good, but frankly most everything else was below a good standard.
Booked a room here for a week but ended up checking out after a night or two. I asked to be transferred to another room since my room was really dirty, the aircon was not working well and there was no WiFi connection. So, they transferred me to another room. It was all good until we figured out that both the key cards I’m holding can open the two different rooms. Magic!😂 I talked to the supervisor about this, she actually handled the situation properly, she told us that it was a glitch from IT department. I decided to transfer hotel instead and asked them to refund me with the unused nights. I think it was Alyssa or Alynna (the front desk supervisor), she kept on promising that they’ll have the money transferred back to my account and of course! It never happened. 😂 It was all bullsh*t. No work ethics at all. NEVER BOOK ROOMS HERE!
We stayed here for two nights before leaving to Manila. The hotel was clean and modern. The front door and desk staff were very friendly and professional making check-in easy. Our room was bigger that I expected. The beds were very comfortable. We had a strong WiFi signal in the room as well. It was nice that they provided bottled water every day. The hotel was near the Ayala Mall, McDonalds, Zubuchon and many other attractions and restaurants. My only complaint would be the pool. It looked dirty like the pool filter hadn’t been turned on for a while.
This place is terrible. Dirty and nothing like pictured. Dont get ripped off.
Was not informed pool was under repair. One reason I booked here
This probably one of the worst hotels I have stayed in for a long time and I have stayed in many hundreds. This hotel is trying to be something it is clearly not. The staff are clearly trying to operate around poor management instructions and policies, and most of their income would be generated I guess around functions. 1. Poor wifi signals throughout the building - a quick internet search shows this has been a common complaint, but clearly no one has done anything about it. 2. Hardly any water pressure through the shower 3. No hot water 4. Demand for a high security deposit on arrival, though room paid in full in advance 5. No phone in room 6. Demands to pay for any additional complimentary water - multiple times they were asking for 20 peso. 7. Room service food closes at 9:30pm, though this is not published anywhere. 8. Tired and dirty public areas, but rooms are clean 9. Staff trying their best. 10. This place is more like and should be branded, rather then ‘Diamond’ to ‘Bronze suites and residences’
This hotel in Cebu probably has no GM. If there is, he's not doing his job well. Let me enumerate the things I've experience in this hotel, as follows: 1. Bellman on duty just ignored guests. He doesn't offer to carry guest's luggage 2. All staff you see at the lobby just chit chat and giggle at each other. 3. Waiters at the restaurant wait to be called by dining guests and don't check the guest's needs. 4. Restaurant looks bare and close during lunch and dinner time. Reason why few guests are dining in. 5. We've made an advance payment for our rooms but Reception failed to apply it. Thus, we were stalled at check out time. Would not stay in this hotel again.
This is the best hotel which we stayed in so far. It's smell clean and looks clean.
If you want a good breakfast, get down early. The staff did a lot of running around but there was always something missing from the breakfast buffet. Always a smell of curry, even in the hotel room, maybe our room was above the kitchen exhaust
Nice spacious & well appointed room on the 2nd floor. Very accommodating staff. A five minute walk to the Ayala Mall was a godsend. Rooftop pool good for a leisure swim. Gym multi gym machine inoperable as needs new cables. We had a discounted price so for us excellent value
The hotel is very nice and affordable, the staff is friendly and foods is excellent . I will recommend to those people who looking affordable hotel this is it. Thank you.
With a 4 night stay I was happy with this hotel's comfort level, service, breakfast and room functionality. It is also quite easy to get around and centrally located. I use mostly public transport and walk so from here many destinations are under 20 min walk or short ride. Taxi almost not needed. The biggest down side is WiFi. They are 1 block from Ayala Center, which is full of Call Centers and Fiber Connections but the hotel is unable to provide a stable connection. I could not stay here again especially if I were working. I think in 4 days I had about 3-4 hours of reliable WiFi service! Totally unacceptable in 2020!!
Found out about this hotel thru a referral in Agoda. Booked right away 4 rooms for 4 families for a very good price. Check in process was very efficient and did not have any fuss, was in and out of the front desk in less than 10 mins. Was even able to squeeze in a special request for a matrimonial bed instead of twin beds. Room was spacious for my family and fit all our luggage. Bed was particularly very comfortable and soft and we had a good night sleep. I wish they added more convenience outlets for charging our gadgets. Bathroom was also very nice with a minimalist and clean setup although we wish it had a toilet bidet for more convenience. Another good thing about the hotel was its close proximity to Ayala Malls Cebu which was about a 15 minute walk or a 5 minute ride via a taxi. Staff were also very pleasant and made sure to greet and welcome you once you pass by. All in all a pleasant stay and might stay here again for another Cebu trip. P.S.: Hope they get to fix the second elevator, during our stay, there was only one functioning elevator which only accomodated 4 persons.
Did not like the Restaurant for dinner
Love it I will come again best ever hotel God bless thank you I love the manager Al he is outstanding, well mannered manager and humble love the staff they are very welcoming and friendly and most of all the food is delicious
This hotel is so affordable and convenient. The accommodation is good. You can also have a good breakfast here. Food is good. The location is a walking distance to Ayala Mall, and you can easily find a ride if you want to go to other places. I would recommend this to my friends. Will surely stay here when I get back to Cebu.
The hotel is located near Ayala mall. Relatively clean, affordable, friendly staff and security personnels, excellent breakfast buffet that offers lots of choices from pasta, satay, pancakes, coffee, juices, and local dishes.
A hidden gem in this dynamic city. Excellent food service, friendly staff, reasonable prices. Roof top swimming pool.and only a 3 minute walk to Alaya Mall. Not easy to find, tucked away on a side street (Apitong) ( name of a Phillipine hardwood used for industrial floors!) Very popular for wedding receptions.... Not a tourist hotel!
Location wise very perfect if you are a mall goer...just 3 minutes walk to Ayala Center Cebu..Their room rates already includes bufffet breakfast for 2, rooms are clean . Front office staff are very helpful..
comfortable though old hotel; good thing is they accommodated my request when my family requested transfer to another room; needs renovation and repair (esp. plumbing due to odor coming out of pipes) to update it.
I will recommend really good 👍😀👍
they have a good view of the swimming pool at the rooftop. But they gave me a bedroom with a bad shower. The water pressure was very slow. The cleanliness was ok and the location is good, walking distance to the Ayala Mall.
I stayed here for 4 nights. The shower is terrible but I just didn't have time to change room 'coz some of family coming over. The front desk its not helpful. The location is good, walking distance to the Ayala Mall.
It was ok but overpriced in my view. Albeit we had the two double bed rooms.
Pretty straight forward hotel. Clean with good location. Near Ayala Mall which is a good thing. Breakfast is above average with wide array of selection. Good to stay if you are not planning to stay longer.
had a good time during our stay.
The room is relatively clean. The bathroom is very white. I thought I was in the kitchen. All lights were white-both bedroom and bathroom . The housekeeping needs improvement. We asked for water but never came. The location is very good if you want to be within walking distance of the malls and a very good hairstylist, next door!
Thank you Diamond Suites. My stay in Cebu was great. So comfortable and clean.
Nice swimming area also less than five minutes away from Ayala mall (many restaurants) Breakfast is Asian so might be better buying breakfast in mall if you don’t like hotel breakfast
Ang sungit ng babaenf front desk.
Food amazing and my baby loves the pool staff is nice and rooms are clean
Have stayed on his property now few times he has always been nice
Location was good. Staff were friendly as well. Wish bathroom would be improved like adding hair dryer, bidet etc.
The hotel is nice. Friendly staff and a little bit older place I think but overall is good for a family.
Best hotel stay so far while on a 2 weeks family vacation
Value for money is not favorable. Won't comeback for sure
Very nice hotel, I will stay there again, and will recommend it.
Its nice . The sink needs to be slightly repaired
No complaints what so ever, good value for the money, every thing was good for me at this hotel, area, and attractions.
Shower always cold no hot water. Very close to Ayala Mall
water pressure very low for a shower. long time to check out. this was the first time that a hotel charged me for not returning room entry. rip-off...
Hotel is old. Shower head is rusty and has resulted water stinky and water from the pipe is not advisable to boil and drink as it turned to white colour after boiled. The beds has bed mites and has resulted rashes all over our body. White towels are old and yellowish in colour. Breakfast is ok. Location is however strategic to access to eateries and shopping malls.
Always enjoy staying at Diamond Suites. That is all I have to say
great room and service, but breakfast option/s is kinda poor -- not good value for money to include breakfast in your stay
I really like everything about Diamond Suites. When I come to Cebu it is the only place that I Stay.
Really helpful with early checkin. Have stayed at Diamond suites before and have always been pleased.
Good.
Was amazing. Hotel staff was outstanding!!Food was very good..
It was ok staying there but not the best.
We loved our stay but had it trouble getting hot water in the shower
Didn’t sleep well with rooster crowing all night. Breakfast not the best.
Nice stay perfect location for shopping. Good breakfast buffet.
Room was spacious . Water pressure was very slow and there was hardly no hot water. Hotel service was efficient.
bad WIFI
Hotel : The hotel is clean and the rooms are okay. The restroom would have been better if a bidet is installed but that is just me being used to a bidet. Staff are courteous and helpful. Rooms are cleaned everyday. Only drawback to the hotel is that the hallway noise from other guest can be heard. Also, there was some knocking on the wall from the other room one night. I would guess that the kids are playing on the other side of the room. Location: The hotel is well-situated and close to Ayala Mall. It is convenient and restaurants are nearby. The hotel is well known among taxi drivers. You only have to say Diamond Suites Hotel that is close to Parklane and most taxi drivers would get it right immediately.
we found that the bed was hard and too short our feet hung over the end toilet would only flush every third time, the airconditioner in room was very noisy an looked about 30 years old,and we found that the buffet breakfast didn't cater for westerners
no water and is bad
shower is not hot
The Hotel is clean and the staff was friendly. The pool was always clean and the breakfast was good
Room was great. But the bathroom was terrible. No bidet at first but they moved me to a room with one. Then no hot water in the sink. Shaving was not fun. Yeah, I know I am spoiled. The racket from the old air conditioner kept waking us up, and again they changed me to a different room to accommodate my issue. The staff was excellent, the restaurant and breakfast was good.
Small bed and pillows are not fluffy
Stay was comfortable and good. Tha breakfast was sumptous.
When you take a shower, water splash into the floor, making slippery when you get out of the shower. And also the towels are old, or not thoroughly washed coz I have itches after using it. however, it's very close to the mall where you can dine and shop. but the hotel needs proper maintenance.
Stay if budget is the only consideration.
Rated at 3 star but service and facilities should be rated at 1 star.
Check in was a little slow, don't know how their system is integrated with Expedia, but it took a while to get us in the room.... the breakfast buffet staff was just standing around though, not really waiting on the guests.
