Staff were exceptionally polite and willing to help. Breakfast was delicious. Room is spacious and clean. It was a little warm to sleep in, however, that could be personal choice.
We had a texting time
Room was extremely small, no closet, just a bed, small table and chair fit in the room. Bathroom was also small but updated.
Beautiful hotel. Lovely staff. The only thing I was really disappointed with was we were told on check-in that we had to check out at 11am. As we checked in late after 9pm on the day we arrived, we asked if we could avail of late 1pm checkout. We were told they couldn't facilite this and that checkout was 11am and not 12pm. It's a little early compared to most hotels in Ireland that offer a standard 12pm checkout. It would put me off staying again.
Very nice place! Only issue was no tissues, which my wife relies on. She used toilet role instead, begrudgingly.
Very welcoming country hotel.
Great value
got in late and left early but it was very pleasant
Stayed here during an overnight for work. Charming country house hotel, with a rustic touch yet very modern. Huge room with a very comfortable bed. Food was lovely with plenty of options for dinner and breakfast; friendly wait staff. Will stay again when working in the area.
Convenient location.
Lovely hotel bedroom excellent staff very friendly as weather was very cold we were given a plug in radiator very thoughtful nice breakfast overall great stay would recommend it highly
Lovely hotel and staff are amazing . Really warm and relaxing stay . Breakfast was really good . One of the best choices and quality i have ever got and i like my food .
Friendly front desk. Food was good.
Friendly welcome
Amazing stay. Warmest welcome ever. Nothing too much trouble. Free upgrade. Enormous food portions. We will be back.
Friendly staff and very helpful. Lots of cobwebs in the dining room, near the fireplace.
Pleasant stay good breakfast and great value for money which is a rare find these days in Ireland.
Arrived late to the hotel as we traveled for 4 hrs, hotel was very clean & beds where comfortable, breakfast next morning had a great selections which we enjoyed, checked out early as attending a funeral. Overall great hotel at an affordable price
Good place to stay, girls working the bar and restaurant did a awesome job. Fun to watch how much effort both put into their job, must be a good place.
Accomodation comfortable and relaxing rear aspect with view onto lawn, waterfall Centrally located just outside Roscrea with regards ease of access
Room and service was excellent . We could not sleep at night eith the noise of hearing we tried turning it off and ringing reception few times but no answer
No music, unmaned reception after 6 pm
Very comfortable and clean. Being able to control the heating in the room and bathroom is a lovely added touch, especially now coming into the winter months. Lovely and quiet. Couldn’t hear people walking past my room like you do in some hotels. Will definitely be back
Excellent service and food
Lovely property spotlessly clean inc bedroom
Friendly, efficient service in what are still difficult times
Well located with very friendly staff. Lack of air-con could be a problem for some although we found the room to be very comfortable with all the facilities we needed.
Nice hotel, comfortable beds , old toilets. Breakfast is typical Irish. Healthy option choice is bacon 🙂
Hotel room was lovely and spacious bed was very comfortable and a lovely view of the garden and very clean all over a lovely nights stay 😊
No answer on room phone, had to call reception on my phone
Very nice clean hotel with helpful staff, def recommend it.
Lovely friendly staff
Food was not great . I had fish for evening meal which was good . My husband had chicken , very bland.Breakfast , cooked breakfast fairly good , my pancakes and fruit compote poor Toast was lovely but had to ask for preserves also fruit juice . Worst bit was the state of teapot and coffee pot ! Needed good wash and polish . Room quiet , shower didn’t work well bathroom very small Overall staff very pleasant .
Staff very helpful and friendly. Bedroom comfortable and clean
Excellent stay. Nicole was so helpful when we checked in and with all our group for our stay. Fantastic weekend.
Food really good. Lovely rooms, nice! WiFi shockingly bad for 2019! Bar - uncosy and cold set up - needs a revamp
Friendly staff at reception and restaurant. Large car park with good access to the hotel Large clean and comfortable room with good wifi Tasty food with generous portions.
Wonderful place. Well located. Big and comfortable rooms.
Very good service lovely hotel .....,,.........,;,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Excellent accommodation. Comfy bed, spacious room, friendly helpful staff. Would recommend Racket Hall Country House.
We were at a wedding at Laughton House which was not too far away. About 25 members of the wedding were staying here. It was very friendly, there was a good breakfast and the rooms were large. Very helpful reception to order taxis and for information.
Very nice. Great price. In hotel restaurant pretty good.
Racket Hall is beautiful. Rooms are very nice. Staff were lovely. Food was fab. All these positives plus it is extremely reasonable. Would def stay again
Stayed for 3 days and we loved the place,Roscrea is 5 mins down the road and such a lovely town. The hotel is great...food and drink spot on
I liked the bedroom and bed - it was very comfortable, but parts of it looked like they needed a good scrub eg floor and surrounds of sink in bathroom. I liked the staff - all except one were very helpful and friendly. The only thing which I felt let down the place was the less than perfect hygiene.
Location and parking were great. We didn't want to be "downtown". It was easy access to get in and out of.
The hotel and food was brilliant and would stay again but would check with the hotel first if there was a function on. Our room overlooked a function room (Room 206) and their was a darts competition that didn't finish until 2am. We couldn't sleep due to the noise.
Close proximity to Golf Club, nice clean hotel a little expensive but was busy with wedding.
Friendly, efficient, comfortable just as required for an overnight on business
We what room serivce for are breakfast we put out service order tag on our room at 10-00 pm when came in morning no breakfast order tag still on door I have go downstairs see front desk to sort out
Good value for money, clean, friendly staff. Wifi not great.
Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, delicious food at dinner and breakfast with good choices on menu, overall delighted with our stay, Thank you
Hotel lovely room good size bed comfy. Food was great Would return. Bar staff very friendly
Had a reservation and paid for even the document print out, but was advised no reservations.insteadvof sorting it all out I was given a room with 4 beds - poor lighting. Breakfast contained of serials cold milk and yoghurt.there was still packed bread to toast, no butter and only jam... No cheese no cold cuts.... poor..on check out I was asked for my card, and said that the room was paid for and should showed that documents. Still my room was charged again.
We were attending the Feile classical on the Friday night! The staff were very helpful in arranging a taxi into Roscrea to catch our bus. The hotel was lovely! All the staff were very professional.
Chosen for it's facilities, comfort to speedy tour of such interesting countryside
We stayed only one night but it was amazing - the location, the staff, the food, everything. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Place was fab.. rooms clean comfortable. The tap at sink was a spray head so to wash your hands the whole place was soaked.
A superb establishment, very comfortable and great restaurant/bar, and efficient & delightful staff, thank you. Kay
Lovely hotel with friendly staff. This was my second time to stay at the hotel, so that says a lot. The staff have always been nice and friendly at the hotel. The rooms are nicely furnished, so it makes for an enjoyable stay.
Had a lovely one night stay. The room looked into the inner courtyard. Beautiful view
Very friendly and helpful staff. Very quiet hotel at night, no outside noise. Room excellent. Dining room, food very good. One small hic up. Waited over 20 minutes after finishing main course, no dessert, no nothing. We decided to just pay for what we ate and left. I mentioned to a member of staff what had happened who replied "oh sorry about that" and walked off. Anyways other than that we enjoyed our stay in the hotel.
Cosy comfortable old style hotel ..more variety for breakfast other than cooked breakfast ..
Breakfast was almost uneatable but everythingelse, from the staff tithe room and comfort, were just fine. Good for a comfy overnight stay. thanks
We were very happy with the room and facilities but disappointed with the food available in the restaurant. Perhaps stay there but eat elsewhere. Food was over cooked and the size of the meals was too large. I’d suggest smaller portions and better quality would be an improvement.
Excellent thank you
Restaurant experience was disappointing, we were seated quickly but our menu requests were not completed correctly and then our waitress disappeared and we had to keep asking for dessert menus/the bill.
This was a very nice hotel. Our room was large with a nice bathroom. It was clean and comfortable and in a convenient location for our travels. Would definitely recommend.
Racket Hall suited my needs
Best hotel we stayed in in our trip to Ireland. Roscrea's only restaurant closes at 6 pm so dinner had to be in hotel but it was fine. Breakfast was made to order and first class.
Furniture fake antique, only genuine antique was the 20 year old tv. Food ok, but had my meal taken away without asking whether I was finished, so told the girl to carry on since she had already handled my plate. Music in bar was awful stuff from the 50s and 60s, then really loud radio. None of the barstaff seemed capable of pulling a decent pint of guinness, bubbles in every one for which there ia no excuse. Finally, left my phone charger behind and that has predictably and depressingly disappeared. Going back to Roscrea for another overnight tomorrow but won't stay here again.
Comfortable hotel, good food, great service.
Staff so helpful . Clean . Lots of space . Would defiently be back
Lovely Hotel , nice location , wanted 2 nights but could only get one
great hotel , poor facility's nice rooms pleasant staff
