Beautiful place!

The only thing was that our the air conditioning did not work and it was 81 F indoors. However since they couldn’t get the maintenance guy to come out at night they provided a fan.

So calm and peaceful. Clean, minimalistic and modern design - with small details that make you feel right at home. Lovely views from the room’s balcony. Direct access to the ocean + a pool right next to the hotel. Would happily stay again! The reservation team (Agnes) was especially helpful - thank you again :)

Besonders hervorzuheben sind 2 Mitarbeiter Abu Saleh und Ines Pareira ( Eierspeisen) , die beiden wiegen die Unfreundlichkeit der anderen Mitarbeiter auf !!! Die Lage ein Traum und die Frühstücksterrasse einfach fantastisch . Ausserdem außerordentlich die Joe Cocker Tribute Band , die Frau hat eine so schöne Stimme ...2-3 pro Woche live Music ist super , um den Abend ausklingen zu lassen .

Der Abräumservice ( Frühstück) könnte wenigstens einmal am Tag lächeln und einem nicht noch die Tasse vom Mund wegnehmen ....

Our room was generally spacious with a small minibar, comfortable beds (though did not see a double bed option while booking). The pool area was also great and comfy sunbaths available for residents at this hotel. Very good breakfast too.

From my point of view I’m expecting from a 4-star hotel certain things - parking which was clearly not big enough for all hotel guests. Hotel has not though about mosquitoes which are coming in when you open the garden doors. There were literally marks with smashed mosquitoes on the ceiling and walls. The third thing - we didn’t know that the breakfast/restaurant and second pool area is not located on hotel’s premises. It was not very comfortable and private to enjoy all the ameneties since the the pool area next to the ocean was shared with others (possibly outside guests too).

Club de plongée Manta Diving très compétent dans l’établissement. Personnel aimable. Le restaurant Atlantico sert un très bon petit déjeuner et propose une belle carte le soir. Très bonnes infrastructures sportives

Excelente para descansar por ser um hotel só para adultos. O acesso ao mar é um excelente bónus! A piscina é lindíssima! Quartos grandes e muito confortáveis.

La posizione è splendida, direttamente sulla scogliera. Tanti i servizi disponibili (due piscine, SPA, palestra, yoga etc). La piscina dell‘hotel, con acqua di mare, è riservata agli ospiti (adults only), quella a livello del mare invece aperta anche al pubblico ma comunque tranquilla e offre la possibilità di tuffarsi e di fare snorkeling lungo la scogliera. Camera moderna, pulita, silenziosa e confortevole. Personale cordiale, ottimo il ristorante con vista sull‘oceano. Bella la SPA, con saune e area relax vista mare. Nonostante l‘hotel non disponga di parcheggio privato non è difficile trovarne nelle vicinanze, a pagamento ma a costi bassissimi (0,40€/ora, gratis sabato pomeriggio e la domenica)

La qualità della colazione è migliorabile. Il bar a bordo piscina ha orari troppo limitati. Un piccolo appunto: Ok la sostenibilità, di cui l‘albergo va giustamente fiero, ma fare pagare 1€ per il cambio del telo mare è un po‘ eccessivo per il livello. Ci sono soluzioni più semplici e „Customer friendly“.

J'ai aimé les services, la vue, le petit-déjeuner (beaucoup de choix), le spa avec sauna qui a une vue sur l'océan et les équipements comme les piscines d'eau de mer. Tout est sur place comme plusieurs restaurants.

Best breakfast on the island. The hotel has a superb location by the sea and takes sustainability seriously, winning awards. Having said that, there was no impact on us, but felt good to know the hotel was doing this behind the scenes. The pool area is very relaxing and the pool itself just perfect. There is a lido belonging to the hotel which was open to the public but still very quiet and easy access to the sea with a lifeguard. All the hotel staff went out of their way to say good morning and that makes such a difference to the feel of the hotel. The hotel is in a quiet area, there is a bus to Funchal but we used Bolt and this worked well. Would certainly go back next time we go to Madeira.

Location next to the sea

Lido timetable, too restrictive. The lido got too crowded with people (and children) from the other hotel and from outside. Room not cleaned every day. No amenities. Had to ask at reception and they had nothing except a razor. No conditioner, no body lotion. The coffee/tea bags never got refilled. No bottled water in the room.

La piscina de adults only es maravillosa. El bar del desayuno tiene unas vistas preciosas. Realmente la ubicación para relajarte es perfecta.

Creo que si buscas una localización que sirva de punto base para hacer excursiones no es la mejor opción. Hay otras alternativas con mejores conexiones (por ejemplo Santana). Es una localización ideal para relajarse y disfrutar de unos días de calma.

Very few hotel parking spots. However the thrul to be told there is plenty of public paid parking available where we could park for a couple of euro overnight.

The hotel is clean and cozy. I especially want to note the friendliness and professionalism of the staff at the reception. The breakfasts are wonderful with a pretty good selection

1. I thought all territory is adults only. However, the lower deck, which opens to the sea, and the lower pool are for public use. So if you want complete peace, you should stay by the upper pool, which is definitely beautiful. 2. I guess hotel went a bit too far with sustainability - Water in the room is 4 euros. You can use the cooler at the reception, but you will have to buy a bottle from them first. People who drink a lot of water during the day will have to run a lot, because there is only one cooler that I found. I guess also because of sustainability- I recommend to make sure you have shampoos, shower gel and conditioner with yourselves, as in the room you will have only one dispenser with a shower gel (it was not identified, so I’m guessing based on feelings)

Très mal insonorisé, on entend le bruit des portes qui se ferme et les pas des autres clients de la chambre du dessus. Surtout si on veux se reposer l’après midi dans la chambre, on entend la femme de ménage qui tire les meubles ou son aspirateur.. hotel beau mais pas reposant

Die Lage direkt am Meer ist wirklich aussergewöhnlich! Die Zimmer sind geräumig und modern und das Hotelpersonal sehr hilfsbereit. Der kostenlose Zugang zum Lido (mit gratis Liegen) macht den Aufenthalt perfekt!

Die Auswahl an Restaurants ist super! Im Atlantis war allerdings die Bedienung oft sehr langsam (fast 2h zum Mittagessen mit einem Gang und Kaffee z.B.)

We liked the spacious room with a great sea view, rich and varied breakfast, the pool, the spa, the beach and the general architecture of the place.

Vue sur l'océan pour le petit déjeuner très agréable. Etablissement plutôt calme. Absence d'enfant (Adults Only) très appréciable et reposant. Espace Sauna (nudiste) très propre et calme. Petit déjeuner sous forme de "Breakfast box" en chambre le jour de notre départ (départ tôt).

Chambre un peu petite. Absence de "bain à remou" ou SPA, serait un plus compte tenu de la situation avec vu sur l'océan.

Beautiful location, peaceful at the pool, invigorating snorkelling and sea swimming. Stunning views from breakfast and anytime using the 2 restaurants on the cliff. Dinner buffet at the sister hotel Galosal next door was fabulous choice and quality. Housekeeping were so friendly, but also never disturbed us, very discreet. Easy to find parking a few feet away I cannot find a fault we loved our stay!

Die Lage ist sehr gut. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Zimmerausstattung war ok, Frühstück war in Ordnung voll zufriendestellend. Meeresblick, sehr schön.

Klimaanlage/Abfluß im Zimmer hatte einen eher schlechten Geruch. Wurde daraufhin kaum verwendet. Personal freundlich, aber etwas unflexibel. Wollte aufgrund gesundheitlicher Gründen für den Abend etwas einfaches leichtes und magenschonendes zum Essen bestellen. Zimmerservice kostet 10 Euro extra, es war nicht möglich etwas Schonendes zu bestellen. Nur so wie es in der Speisekarte angeführt war. Keine Änderun/Anpassung möglich. Parkmöglichkeit, es gibt wenige kostenlose Parkplätze, man muss eben Kurzparkgebühren entrichten.

Avec mon mari nous avons eu la chance de séjourné dans l’hôtel Sentido Galomar qui offre une magnifique vue sur l’océan. 🤩Chambre confortable, petit-déjeuner varié et délicieux, personnel accueillant et toujours souriant. Os quartos são modernos, bonitos e aconchegantes. A sauna tem uma vista panorâmica MARAVILHOSA! É algo que ninguém pode perder. As funcionárias do spa são muito atenciosas e simpáticas, para não falar da massagem que foi muito agradável. A Pizzaria o Galo tem relação preço/qualidade muito boa e as pizzas são maravilhosas, bem como o staff atencioso e muito simpático também.

O restaurante buffet, que fica no Galo Sol acho que deveria ter mais variedade na parte dos frios e sobremesas, mas o comer estava bom e o Staff como sempre muito atencioso. No PA acho que deveriam adotar outra estratégia para as panquecas pois o tempo de espera e a procura é elevada, que nada tem haver com o staff mas sim com o método adotado.

Stunning location, beautiful food and outstanding facilities. FACILITIES There's not only 2 outdoor pools, but also a Lido right down on the beach (with crashing waves right next to it - what a treat) AND an indoor swimming pool in the same building as the fully functioning, well stocked gym and ONE set of TWO saunas and steam rooms. Plus studios where regular guided workouts and classes took place. All free to use by guests at Sentido Galomar & Galosol. FOOD All incredible, absolutely no notes. Special mention of Tiago who served us at the Pizzeria - he was such a gem and made our final night extra special. LOCATION It's just perfect. Tucked into a little cove on the south coast of the island, you're seeing the full span of the sunrise to sunset. It's quiet, it's peaceful, and it's a ~45 minute walk west up to the Cristo Rei statue, and 15 minutes east to some more beautiful beach spots, bars and more hotels.

Seemed a little short staffed at the reception desk, so we were waiting some time on a couple of occasions as they were tending to other guests. Perhaps high season, so a few folk seemed a little stressed, but all-in-all helpful staff. Also wanted to stay an extra week - we were very sad to leave.

Layout, too confusing and on the welcoming guide it does not explain the times of the pools what time open and close. It’s a lot of information all at once

Het ontbijt was super en heel uitgebreid. Verder was het zwembad en het wellness gedeelte heel mooi.

O aceso ao Lido é maravilhoso, o pequeno almoço também impecável e a simpatia dos funcionários é excecional!

A localização com acesso direto à praia e piscina com água do mar aquecida. A tranquilidade de um hotel para adultos. A boa qualidade em geral.

Já que a “praia” é gerida pelo hotel, tenho de referir que o novo pavimento da zona da piscina (a de baixo junto ao mar) é literalmente uma lixa grossa, que termina num declive para a piscina. Ao colocar um pé nesse declive, o meu chinelo ficou preso, mas o pé deslizou no chinelo e desequilibrei-me, fui com a mão e joelho ao chão. Fique sem pele. Para quem estiver a ler, tenham cuidado!

Beautiful and peaceful hotel with amazing sea views. The staff were welcoming and professional, and the breakfast had a great selection.

The only downside was the parking situation. Finding a parking space was difficult at times, which was a bit inconvenient. Other than that, everything was great.

Das Hotel ist ein idealer Ort, um zu entspannen. Die Zimmer sind sehr angenehm, die Materialien wirken hochwertig und das Bad ist hervorragend. Der SPA Bereich mit den grossen Fenstern zum Meer ist beeindruckend, insbesondere, wenn man dort alleine ist.

Der Badebereich am Meer ist keineswegs kinderfrei und auch nicht alleine dem Hotel zugeteilt, sondern für Jedermann zugänglich. Deshalb kann es schnell etwas eng werden im Liegebereich am Meer. Das Restaurant hat eine kleine Karte und versucht originell zu sein. Die Portionen sind Kinderportionen, geschmacklich jedoch gut.

Wahrscheinlich das schönste Hotel in dem ich je war. Vor allem wenn man gerne taucht kann ich dieses Hotel zu 100% empfehlen. Die angeschlossene Tauchschule ist super - sehr kompetente Mitarbeitende, gut organisiert, gutes Equipment. Tolle Tauchreviere mit großer Auswahl und Flexibilität. Auch sonst siptzenklasse Hotel - Sehr sauber, ruhig, sehr freundliches Personal, grandioses Frühstück mit fantastischem Meerblick. Tolle Zimmer. Direkt am Meer. Galomar ist nochmal etwas schöner als Galosol, aber beide sind tolle Hotels.

Im Zimmer sehr hellhörig und Balkone nahe beieinander, dadurch eher störend wenn Gäste am späten Abend noch lange auf dem Balkon sprechen.

The staff was the absolute very best.

We had the room closest to the hotel entrance and we could hear the conversations from people coming and going and talking in reception - perhaps there shouldn't be any room there.

Отель находится прямо над океаном ! Потрясающие виды отовсюду ! Все очень чисто , завтраки стандартные европейские , персонал очень дружелюбный и готовый прийти на помощь по любому вопросу!

De ligging aan zee, het goede restaurant met uitzicht over zee.

Sehr schöne Lage, einige sehr gute Restaurants in nächster Nähe, sehr gutes hauseigenes Restaurant, für mich wichtig: Tauchschule direkt innerhalb der felsigen "Strand"bereiches.

Zimmerservice steht unter Verdacht, die Wasserflasche, die ein Firmen-Etikett hat, mit Leitungswasser nachzufüllen. Sie war nämlich nur ganz leicht zugedreht und jeder, der daraus trank, hatte 1-2 Tage grobe Magen-Darm Probleme.

Velmi pestrý výběr u snídaně a fantastický výhled na oceán. Pitná studená voda na recepci. Tiché a velmi čisté pokoje. Spousty místa u bazénu a potápěčské centum hned na pláži.

Jedině otevírací doba na pláž by mohla být pro hotelové hosty bez omezení, ale chápeme, když je pláš hlídaná, nelze ji provozovat 24 h.

Fantastyczne położenie, tuż nad oceanem. Niestety spędziliśmy tam jedną, krótką noc, z powodu odwołanego samolotu, lecz Panie w recepcji były bardzo uprzejme i zadbały nawet o nasz lunch box.

Petit déjeuner parfait . Restaurant très bien pour le diner. Vue exceptionnelle sur la mer depuis le restaurant. Le chef de rang du restaurant (jeune homme très musclé ) a été super aimable et super sympathique.

Parking à l 'extérieur de l' hôtel payant nécessitant une organisation. L' employée peu aimable de la piscine qui vient avant 18 h 00 vous fermer les parasols à la piscine (alors que nous étions à l' ombre dessous ), malgré notre demande.

Un complexe hôtelier comme il en existe beaucoup sur l'île, rien d'original. Des restaurants sur place et beaucoup d'équipement pour passer un excellent séjour.

Tolle Lage, sehr freundliches Personal, gutes Essen, einfach traumhaft.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Ozean. Unser Zimmer war hübsch und geräumig. Wir durften den Spa Bereich des Nachbarhotels nutzen, da wir erst nach 18 Uhr angereist sind und der hoteleigene Spa Bereich bereits um 19 Uhr schließt. Das Frühstück war gut.

Viele Autos in der Straße vor dem Hotel. Wir haben aber einen Platz in der Nähe gefunden. Nur ein Kaffeeautomat im Frühstücksraum, daher etwas längere Wartezeit auf ein Getränk.
