My partner and I stayed here last week for 2 nights. It's about 20 minutes walk from the southern bus terminal, which is good. It is notbfar from Ayala Mall, which is also good. The rooms are OK, if a little dated and tired. It reminds me of the old Diplomat Hotel that I used to stay in years ago. I would stay here again and the breakfast is reasonable too (see photos). Well sign posted from the main road (see photos).
The rooms are clean , air condition works good. Free breakfast perfect to send you on your day. Has TV but no wifi in the rooms, only in the reception area, which has ample seating.
friendly staff and near access to the main road
nothing
Very clean and we'll maintained. Staff is great, free breakfast is good, great location. But lots of traffic pollution on the main streets.
The friendliness of the staff and sizes of the rooms
The breakfast could have been more substantial
The property has good location and security. It provides parking space and good ambiance.
Although the restroom is good, maybe adding a bidet would be better and for the stairs, they’re okay but having an elavator is more convenient.
I paid php 1300 a night for z room only worth php 600. The place was amazingly underwhelming.
The breakfast was too small.
The breakfast size
Very affordable, good ovation, friendly staff
Access to local facilities. Private parking and staff were extremely helpful and friendly 🙂
Squeaky bed with uncomfortable mattress. The Tv does not turn off, and the breakfast was tiny.
The location was perfect and all the staff members were helpful and friendly.
Unfortunately the internet connection can't reach the rooms :(
the room is ok, it's clean, but when we stayed 3 times, their tv didn't work in three rooms, I hope they fix it, that's all
Tv not working for our 3x staying
The staff are friendly and the place is good but it's far from the Main Street so we have to walk meters away to get taxi. Well, when it comes to financial reason the place is an ideal one.
The location is good. Walking distance to fuente n many restaurants around. Its a pension house. It's old, good for short stay. They provide free plated breakfast but only 1 choice available, which is 1 hotdog, 1 hardboiled egg, 1 scoop of rice n 3in1 coffee. Free wifi in lobby, aircon is cold, hot in cold shower, limited channel TV, free toiletries, they clean the room everyday. But no free drinking water. Staff were courteous. It's cheaper if u booked online.
All good
nice and friendly

Clean and well maintained
All I could say that the location is perfect if you want to travel in the heart of cebu city.
The location, cleanliness and the staff is ready tp assist
None
The location otherwise nothing.
I was do disappointed compared the last time we stayed on the place. Poorly maintained. You can hear the people talking and banging the doors when opening/closing.
Via Agoda I was promised to pay 1.727 pesos for a double room for two nights including a refrigiator in the room. But upon arrival I was told a fridge would cost me extra 200 pesos. I flatly refused and after a long argument the receptionist who were quite rude offered I could keep my medicin in the hotels fridge. I complied but right after I was harrased by an older woman who had her own ideas about that. Now I checked how much money had been subtracted from my bank account just to realize it was 2.800 pesos plus. The receptionist didn't care at all and refused to deal with it. They cheated me moe than 1.100 pesos Checking the room I am really not sure I have gotten a double room. It's small, the bed id quite small too, and the room was dirty when I opened the door. Breakfast was so bad. A cold egg, one piece of very bad ham, rice and a cop of coffee. On the second morning (tomorrow) I won't even bother. Stay away
my friends and i had errands in cebu city and we needed to stay overnigt. i already had email interaction with the admin saying that there are 3 of us and we want win beds and an extra bed. When we checked in, they strongly suggested 2 bunk beds and i said NO to that. when i said NO, the receptionist looked irritated. She was impolite in conversation and i had to say "good afternoon" first. She does not smile and rolls her eyes which i do not really like. anyway, the rest of the staff were really nice and accommodating. The housekeeping guys were kind and quick to help us with what we need and the lady in the kitchen wad nice. it still was a good experience. i just wish that receptionist will find ways to look at life a positive way and find joy so she can spread joy as well.
If you ever want a great fantastic place close to most things in cebu and no more than 10 minutes away from Fuentes circle and restaurants and bars . Pacific pension house is what you are looking for and Super Friendly people ( Staff ) and Breakfast ok it is basic but filling and clean very Clean rooms this is where you really should be looking to put your head down on the pillow. Now I am going to say 40 peso for a cup of coffee is a little bit more than it should be 1st cup is Free after that it is 40 peso . And TV and all the available channels Great . Now my wife and I & our kids are over on another island away from Cebu but we don't hesitate going to Pacific pension house and Rates are great as well.. Yep without a doubt in my mind. This is a great place to stay when in Cebu
Worst! Front desk staffs doesn’t know how to communicate with each other what to endorse with other staffs in the hotel. Upon checking in we told them if they can prepare our complimentary breakfast for the next day early as we will leave early and they said yes however when we are getting it the next day there’s isn’t at all which is very very disappointing already! Secondly, extra bed in one of our rooms should have been free according to the agency but upon checking out we have to pay for it and they don’t want to communicate with the agency for which these people in the front desk should be the one doing it for us, very very poor customer service! Lastly, complimentary breakfast is not included for kids below 9 years old and needs to pay!!! Wow!!! Really thats kids we are talking about they should take care more for them!!! And we are trying to compensate the breakfast we didn’t get from the first day so the kids can be free and they are telling us NO since its complimentary and its not paid but for its for the kids and just trying to compensate what we didn’t get the first day! How can a hotel run like this without any CUSTOMER SERVICE at all!!! Such a poor experience!!!
Only thing that was good about it was it was close to everything I wanted to be close to But apart from that not a good look.
My family and I spent three nights in two rooms at this hotel recently. It was not a nice experience. There were many things wrong with this place but the most aggravating was their refusal to provide breakfast for our children. They said they would not let our children eat breakfast because we were not being charged for them! The rooms are very small with windows that face another building. I do not want to go on about this place, just skip it when looking for a hotel in Cebu City
Things have improved since my last visit. Notably the inclusion of a "Free Breakfast" which was not available last year. The breakfast consists of cup of rice + egg + choice of Longalisa, Corned Beef, Hot dog, toscino (when available), choriso sausage + hot coffee. Very pleased again with service, wifi has improved, tv was re-tuned in by staff in room following update of signal from provider. Very popular hotel, with filipino and foreigner guests.
There were cocroach in the room...i asked help to one of their staff for their tv he just told me he will follow later but did not bother to check...wifi is poor..breakfast is poor....
I have been staying in this pension house 3 times and last August 2019, I was really disappointed with one of the staff which I dont want to mention here. When I arrived, I asked one of the staff to set up the wifi for me since I was tired that day and since it was a bit complicated to log in for me, I opened my phone (i normally have it locked) and he went downstairs in the reception for my password. He went through my Facebook account and added his name as my friend. That was unacceptable since I have been very good to them. Apart from him, everyone is nice and I love the area and the place.
No elevator, phone is not functioning, no power outlets, small bed, old tv, lots of bedbugs. I got 6 bedbug bites. The linens are very itchy. Small room. Shower not functioning and no hot or cold water. Air con is not that cold. Packed breakfast was not given to us since we checked out early.
We would like to thank them for accommodating our guests. Overall, it was okay. our clients were there ahead of time for an early check in but it was still too early and their standard check in time is 2pm. they let them leave their things first at the luggage room. and i guess that was a good one
very clean great budget hotelroom friendly staff free breakfast very safe close to mall plenty of restaurants nearby
Location is good in that it is close to many restauarants and attractions such as Ancestral House. In regards to the room - basic amenities (one toilet roll, one small sachet of shampoo and soap, 2 towels, tv with cable was provided). Free breakfast was included in price, the breakfast is very simple toast with a slice of ham or rice and two small sausages. Wifi is also provided in the room however it does disconnect often. Overall, you get what you pay for and for us we just needed a place to crash and shower after being out all day exploring!
I'm not a luxury traveler, but I want to be comfortable since I need a good sleep after a long day of tour. I booked for a premier room, I was totally displeased when I enter the room. The bed is wrap with a muslin cloth, floor is wet, no towels , plus the big post inside the room. The aircon is covered with the curtain. Plus the unpleasant ambiance because of the frowning faces of the receptionist. I was booked for three nights but I left. Maybe a waste of money to find another place but I can't stay in a claustrophobic with negative ambiance place. Will never recommend this place to anyone unless you want a headache.
One thing that I like on this budget hotel is it is near on almost every establishment you need. The location of this hotel is near Osmenia Circle, where you can dine in on fast foods and restaurants, a mall and a pasalubong center where you can buy delicacies for your friends and love ones and on top of that, there's a 24/7 convenience store just around the corner! The hotel is also not that far from the airport for around 30mins-1hour grab/taxi travel time (depends on traffic). The room is spacious, average comfort room, cold airconditioning, a cable television and a great wifi connection and they also have free breakfast.
The room is not comfortable to stay, as well as the bathroom. The amount paid is not compensated compared to other hotels in the city.
Its the first time i've stayed 2 weeks in the same hotel. Its a budget hotel, but wifi is strong and tv signal is excellent. The price of the rooms are affordable and they are clean. Good shower. Towels are changed on request and rubbish will be collected outside the door, but the rooms are not made up every day unless you ask (only downside). Staff are friendly - I didnt try the breakfast, as local outlets are all around
My family and I stayed at this place when we visited Cebu City in August 2016 and August 2017. The security guards, receptionists, kitchen ladies and the rest of the staff are friendly and always happy to help. Their rooms are clean. Breakfast is very basic (a cup of coffee/milo or juice, a cup of rice, egg, hotdog/longganisa) but you would expect that from a budget hotel. The best thing about this hotel is the location, it is close to Robinson's Mall, Starbucks, McDonald's, Jollibee, Chow King, Pharmacy and just around the corner from Pacific Pensionne, there's a 7-Eleven shop. We will see you guys again in January next year.
Det var okej men mycket ljud på kvällen från gatan.
Air Con. noise too loud
I went there with my friends. We stay at the pacific pensionne. Love the food. this is the first time i ate kambing and i love it so much. 1 room but two bedrooms. Of course, there is a wifi. And we walked because it is near at the shops like robinsons, watson, starbucks. At that time, the robinsons are small. But now it is big. I want to visit cebu again
The room was not cleaned, hairs everywhere on the floor on the bed, no plugs the only one available was torn from the wall, traces of urine on the toilet bowl, no trash can. When we tell to the housekeeper he just wash the toilet bowl with his hands and left...
At first i’m quiet skeptical about this place due to the previous review, Experience first hand there are some few downside and more of the good comments. Myra’s (front desk) ability to handle guest complaints are commendable. They unable to arranged a pick up for me upon arrival. But it has been resolved accordingly. Room was okey for a budget hotel. Breakfast was not bad at all. Upon checked out the lady receptionist (didn’t get her name) she was okey but requires more guest engagement ability. she’s seems not so pleasant the way she converse with guest or rather to me. Best thing about this hotel is the location. Center of near establishment ( malls, fast food) and the scenery that a tourist must visit. This are all my observations based on what I experienced on this Hotel. Thank you.
It is very well located not far from Fuente down a small street past the 7/11. It is ok for the price , most of the staff are friendly and there is a simple Filipino breakfast included. Rooms are variable in quality, but tidy. This is a central budget hotel ! The electrician (???) who installed the water heater in the shower , connected the wrong wires so the metal drain in the shower was live. Thank God there was a bucket covering the drain otherwise you would not be reading this ! There was a huge flash and a small explosion , It happened so fast. I realised I could be dead , electricity and water combined is lethal. There's was the usual "bahala na" attitude and it was repaired (I didn't really want to retest it). Apart from my near death experience , I recommend this place for budget travellers.
Pacific Pensionne boasts of a cozy and homey feel. The location is accessible to a lot of nearby establishments. The staff were courteous and kind enough to assist me with any of my needs. Luckily, i was able to avail the september promo. The room on the ground floor where we checked in was spic and span, the smell is awesome. And the A/C was in perfect condition. The Breakfast provided for us was worth the money even if there are a lot who complained here. Moreso, what impressed me even more is the wifi connection that is that strong inside our room. Totally worth the visit. Will definitely be coming back.
The hotel really does need some improvements with the facilities. The staff are accommodating and somehow friendly. The place though is strategically located in the heart of Cebu City's local destinations like malls and tourist spots such as Magellan's Cross and Basilica del Sto. Nino. It is also near 7-11 which is really good coz you can buy the things you need nearby. This is a budget hotel so you get your money's worth.
Good location but the rooms are not clean. Polite staff. Good rate.
Familytrip, 2 adults and 3 kids in a family room. Price is ok, and then you can not expect too much. Old furnished room. Cr/bathroom as expected for this price range. Our bathroom was pritty disgusting, since we found leftover public hair on the wall, beside the lavatory. Even we informed them, they did not clean while we stayed there. So after two nights we found another hotel. Quite old and should need a makeover. Our old fashion tv set was out of order, so they changed it to another one that also was out of order. In the lobby, they had a aquarium, but nobody care to clean. Could be a nice thing to watch while waiting, but instead you feel like rushing out! We got a minivan, and was in need of their free parking, but very narrow frontyard, extremely narrow gate and passing to the garage. If there is another car there already, you have no more space to turn and park. Maybe better to go there as a backpacker?
My first solo trip in a while, so i wantes ro save as much as possible and booked Pacific. The only word that comes to mind to describe this room/hotel is basic. Literally what you need, without the extra fluff of other hotels. It was very confortable and the people were very nice even when my key wouldn't work, they happily reset it for me. Would definitely stay here again!!
Affordable cheap friendly staff close to eateries banka and transportation
Everything has charges! Old apartelle, staff is unapproachable, uncomfortable stay. Willnot return again
My wife Mary and I had came in for an early check in on Monday July 4th. Our flight from Los Angeles had arrived in Cebu early. When we had got there, we had booked a Honeymoon Bedroom, but it was not available. The friendly staff took care of everything right then and there, and had got a great one bed bedroom upstairs. The Kitchen Staff was great, and I loved eating the lady who cook there delicious breakfast. Over all, everything was convenient, and accessible.
Guest on others rooms were very noisy and I had no sleep the whole night
The room is big. Bed and bathroom is good. Neighbourhood is quiet.cheap place to stay. It has free breakfast. The people is nice. But i dont like the tv and wifi connection. Wifi is so slow and about the tv its like your watching damage cd. It goes stop and play then stop again and play again. The place is near malls and markets and i like it.
Sadly I'm a bit disappointed about the stay as the pictures to the room I booked and the actual room I stayed greatly mislead. The room is bit old as the facility's its clean the bed (doublebed)is to small for 2 people actually. After all the breakfast was OK. Personally I don't want to go back
We stayed for five days. Staff are courteous. There are roaches in the rooms, Bathroom door handle/lock is broken. Family room for four(2queen beds) are too small.no chair to sit. Need to upgrade the room facilities (beds, cabinets.
What can I say other than this hotel is in The Philippines, a place where you will get extremely poor value for your money. Staff were nice and you could see that they're trying to keep the place in good condition, but I guess there's only so much you can do. The room itself wasn't too horrible -hey, at least it had a window! but: - Thin, awfully uncomfortable foam mattress that was just about big enough for 2 skinny people - Wifi: forget about it if you work online. Download speed was 0.25Mbps (I kid you not), upload speed didn't exist - Huge cockroaches in the bathroom - Bugs crawling on the walls of the room (they looked like small cockroaches), ants had taken over the floor - Very noisy air conditioning that was either freezing or blasted hot air. Got a sore throat because of that - A trickle of water coming out of the shower head. Good luck if you have long hair and want to wash it All this for $25 / night plus taxes? If you have travelled around South East Asia, you know that $25 dollars gets you a VERY nice place elsewhere. Not in The Philippines. I've stayed in accommodation of similar standards in other SEA countries and paid $3 for it. What a rip-off, but sadly this is considered an above-average place and a reasonable price.
It was only an overnight layover stay. The hotel was okay. Breakfast was very oily, but it was something to eat at least for our hungry stomachs. Aircon was very noisy but it kept us cool for the hot and humid night. I chose the hotel for it's location - walking distance the the South Bus terminal where we needed to be early the next morning.
the only good thing about this place is its accessibility and nice breakfast. The room we had has got a broken airconditioning that does not really cool the room but just makes an annoying noisye. When we complained about this we were asked to move to a much older room. The bathroom was very small and the sink not draining well. The room was not cleaned daily and toiletries and towels were not provided unless you asked for it. I asked for a cup once for my little boy and they told that i have to go down and get it.
Stayed for several days. Bedsheets were not changed. No towels. No daily cleaning. Not going back there.
I arrived in an unclean room. So I had to sit in my bed while a hotel staff clean the room for me. The previous owners trash was still there.
Nice Staff, As usual the philippino people are so nice, the hotel is very hard to find, Its behind a 7-11 Corner Store, dont follow google maps when it comes to finding something in the philippines, they do have a underground parking garage, works for a small van or car. if you want a fridge, WIFI, in room , it will be extra, we were there during a festival weekend so it was a good room for the price. was happy to leave after two days. good breakfast with the room stay. walking distance to Robinson Circle
Staff is great. The room is OK and the location is great. Will stay in this hotel if ever I visit Cebu again.
Stayed here for 5 nights, Cheap hotel close to colon street market and robinsons mall. 7/11 right outside, hotel restaurant is inexpensive and convenient. The burger is the worst I've ever had, the American breakfast is worth 100php. The staff won't talk to you unless you talk to them first. They won't clean your room unless you ask. Woke up the last two morning to banging on the wall, they are doing some sort of construction or renovation.
overall it was relaxing, the room is comfortable, the staff were very much approachable
It was not what the photos showed...very, very basic, fairly clean, no hair dryer and no place to put anything in the bathroom...Internet was bad...and very slow...cooks were nice, food was okay...fried chicken was good. I won't stay there again...location in an alley off the main street. The air conditioning was great.
Yuck - "greeted" by unfriendly front desk staff, small room with very worn furniture, old TV, air con with one temp setting and no controls - on/off was it, no hot water, uncomfortable mattress, thin hard pillows, stained sheets, mediocre food. The only thing this pension house has going for it is the low price - but one could do as well or better price wise elsewhere - and have an all around better room, better service, nicer front desk and more convenient location. If we hadn't pre-paid 3 nights, we'd have been gone after one. Don't stay here!
very accommandating staff---felt very comfortable there
Staff not very accommodating on discounts offered. Also, initially says per extra mattress is 250.00 but charges 300 at the end of stay.
The room is good. But room need refrigerator. TV channel need fix and the a/c is not cold:(
I am often visitor, I like the staff, room small but clean and comfortable, close to what you need....keep a careful eye when you are out - pay attention to surroundings - if you do that you will have an enjoyable stay.
I am a frequent guest of the Pacific and reccommend it highly to anyone needing an extended stay in Cebu City!!
I am returning guest and find this hotel the best value in Cebu City...clean, comfort, good location very friendly staff and price can't be beat!
Not new to the Pacific Pensionne - love the staff, the location - small room but very comfortable! This is my go to hotel in the Phillipines!
Would reccomment to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable room in a good location. Wi-Fi in public areas. Good restaurants....will be back!!
I think that this is best for the price and service and most accommodating to customers... I like it very much and will return if I need a place to stay...
I would recommend Pacific Pensionne for light travelers or for individuals who are always on the go. The hotel has free wi-fi in the lobby and cafe area, for the room you need to pay and would have a choice on the number of hours of usage. The location is very good as well, right along a major thoroughfare and would have access to taxis 24 hours. I enjoyed my brief stay at Pacific Pensionne over-all.
only for students
The title says it all You only get what you pay for Very Cheap hotel with very poor conditions
we came in the linens were not changed and there is musty odor in the room . No coming back to this hotel
There were several issues with this hotel. The room accommodations for the price was too small. The air conditioning (a/c) did not cool the room nor make it cold. There was no way to adjust the a/c to blow to where the bed position was at. Then, there was no hot water to shower with as a basic standard. While in the showers, there was no room to stand as your leg would be next to the toilet bowl. There is no elevator (disabled veteran) that had to walk up/down four flights of stairs. The stairs did not appear to be standard height and at every level, there where large vase decorations that are placed in the walk ways and made you navigate on the stair landings to avoid decor and other visitors. Recommend: 1. Reduce room rate for poor a/c and no hot water in a 14' X 13' room. 2. Improve on the a/c conditions of the room 3. Provide basic hot water for showering 4. Remove abstructions on stair landings to ensure greater movement and consider for fire exit plans To be considered to be rated on a 5 star system, the rating requirements should be used on this hotel not just based on opinions.
WOW NICE PEOPLE SAFE.
Superb location; situated in a central area. Near malls, eateries and cebu's tourist attraction sights.
