The breakfast was amazing, and the room exceeded our expectations. The breakfast staff was very attentive and friendly.
No compliant.
Everything, pleasant staff, nice big room good food
Nothing, the only thing I found a bit awkward was the shower
Verschrikkelijk kleine kamer ( nr.1)
Dinner and Breakfast was excellent and they met my Gluten free requests. Room was good, overlooking toe grounds which was perfect
10% service charge on both food and drink.
Good value, convenient location. Breakfast was good. Receptionist and other staff were friendly.
In need of maintenance and redecoration, particularly the bathroom. Our toilet kept filling up after flushing. We told reception who said it was an ongoing issue and nothing could be done. There was a big red stain on the bathroom floor.
Superb breakfast, plenty of choice and beautifully cooked. Room charming with the most lovely furniture and the sleigh bed was so comfortable. Bathroom and individual toiletries were a nice touch. Fan in the room a God send with the hot weather and having the patio door to open made the room very comfortable.
Just one thing and it's constructive criticism, a shelf is needed or cupboard to put your toiletries and clothes, pjs . Perhaps a shower mat to avoid slipping and handle.
Room was large, breakfast was nice and staff were friendly. Setting of the hotel, with gardens and trees were really nice, parking was ok too.
There was black mold in the shower, you can buy stuff to get rid of this but they clearly dont care to. Venue is for events, so can be noisy at night and without AC in the rooms, on a hot day you have to have the windows open so can hear every sound, in this case, a man angrily shouting at a woman for letting him down, there are no signs urging guests to consider people sleeping and no staff to ask them to keep the noise down.
Breakfast was lovely, and so was dinner, all staff were great.
Bar area downstairs so noisy if you are your room above, rooms need to be upgraded for price they are asking for room had extension leads everywhere, wardrobe have a whole 3 hangers, bed Base old and very noisy.
La tranquillità
Troppo cara x quello che offre
This is a lovely property in a lovely spot. Being something of an Art Deco fan, this is a gem. For those who aren't interested, or don't know, don't worry, the art deco is subtle but lovely, door handles, mirrors etc, just evoke a 1920's style. Add to that that we had the garden / family room, which had a separate room for us, and a separate room with single beds for the children, a small-ish lounge, and, a private garden - plus it's in some lovely grounds, all part of a comfortable, friendly house with really helpful staff.
My only comment would be that the carpets in the garden room could do with a clean, but other than that, the bedding was clean and fresh, the setting was lovely, and we were very happy we'd found it.
Repas, Cadre
Staff were very welcoming and everything was clean and tidy
Large bottle of coke being used as a mixer.
It was quiet, the food ingredients were amazing and staff were lovely
Dinner room was quite small. It would've been nice to be able to eat in the function room as it was so much bigger
Location was beautiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable.
Nothing to not like.
Lovely break. Beautiful grounds.
Overhead shower. Prefer bath or directional shower.
The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from. We decided on the cooked breakfast, and the eggs were exceptionally fresh. It was served with plenty of toast and generous jugs of freshly brewed filter coffee. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful gardens, and we enjoyed having breakfast beneath the pergola, which made for a particularly pleasant setting. The staff were warm, friendly, and always happy to help, making our stay even more enjoyable.
There were facilities to make tea and coffee in the room, but it would have been a good idea to leave some bottles of mineral water as it was so hot.
Properheid en comfortabe
Good breakfast. Relaxed place. Friendly staff.
Comfortable room and good breakfast.
Needs cleaning properly and air conditioning. Bathroom was very small.
Food was excellent…staff were friendly , room were spacious
The location it was little bit out of the way
Beautiful building beautiful interior lovely room every comfort.

Sehr bequemes und großes Bett, ruhiges Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, extrem nettes und hilfsbereites Personal
Abendessen was etwas einfach
El desayuno es buenísimo. La cena también una maravilla. Nuestra habitación era muy pequeña, pero confortable. Nos ha encantado el sitio. Volvemos seguro.
Nuestra habitación era la número 1, creo que la más pequeña del hotel. La próxima vez cogeremos una un poco más grande. La cama nos resultó pequeña, aunque era de matrimonio.
The whole ambience was very pleasant
Homely decor and comfortable feel to the place plus a great quality breakfast cooked perfectly and well served in a relaxed and cheerful manner. Fridge in bedroom most welcome given the heat.
The place is idyllic. An absolutely superb place to stay for our mini honeymoon. So beautiful, so romantic. The rabbits in the garden, the birdsong. Staff were so accommodating and any concerns were resolved at lightning speed. We were treated like royalty. The housekeeper is setting the pace for what a housekeeper should be. Such a clean place. I have OCD and felt at home. Never has my anxiety felt at such ease in a hotel. Very comfortable, I would give a higher score if I could. They were awesome at supplying a gluten free breakfast for us, and the staff were so friendly. This IS the place to holiday, honeymoon, or get married. We are hoping to visit again soon for a break away.
Nothing. Anything I was unsure about was remedied to perfection.
Everything - great hotel with friendly and pleasant staff. The room was clean and comfortable with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was new with excellent choice of toiletries. The quality of food is exceptional - I had breakfast and dinner here.

Lovely grounds and a nice room . Bed was comfy .
Mirror in bathroom much too high and the shower was an odd shape
The breakfast
Very simple bedroom you could hear the noise from next bedroom and outside
Breakfast, friendly staff
Dining / Breakfast room a little cramped. There were times where we felt staff weren't around to man the bar in the evenings.
Everything was great.
Nothing really.
Very clean , nice food and wonderful welcoming receptionist Jess.
Nothing
Friendly staff, spacious comfortable room, excellent breakfast, lovely gardens. Birthday greetings note in room
Evening mea was a bit disappointing. Quite small starter portions. Shepherds pie didn't have any additional veg. Tasty but lacking
Quiet area for sleeping no traffic noise comfortable bed, great breakfast!
No light above bathroom mirror for shaving purposes.
Beautiful property and very accommodating
Dining room was quite dark when eating dinner
Very homely perfect for a relax and somewhere to stay when visiting places such as battle, Rye and Hastings
Nothing it was perfect for what I wanted
Everyone is always friendly. Food is excellent. Rooms are very good. We stay here quite a lot.
We could hear music in our bedroom from the function room.
Excellent room, very clean
Hotel doesn’t do dinner on Sunday evenings. We weren’t made aware of this until arrival (on Sunday evening). Hotel is well away from villages so had to travel into Hastings to eat.
Quiet location. Characterful hotel. Friendly and accommodating staff.
Nothing really!
All staff extremely friendly and helpful. The room was quiet with a lovely view over the field opposite. Food was good and service was quick.
Food was very good but as not all meals came with vegetables or salad it would have been good to have a list of side dishes available.
The breakfast was very good, they had hot and a good selection of cold. A very big cafetiere of coffee we asked for extra toast and that was no bother either.
The evening menu, my husband would have like a bit more selection more meat on the menu. Nothing the hotel can do but you come out onto a busy road.especially if you want to go right.
Quiet and cosy
Road leading to it from Rye was poor
It was clean and in a good location. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.
I would suggest bringing an extension lead as there are not many plug sockets in the room.
I travelled for work. The location is excellent with plenty of free onsite parking. The place looked loved and well looked after. The room I stayed was immaculate. The onsite restaurant serves lovely meals at reasonable prices. Breakfast was great with plenty of options to chose from. I've booked to go back again in March!
Everything was perfect. Would have been nice to have earl grey and herbal teas in the room.
Homely, quiet and comfortable

We were only there one night to visit friends nearby but the room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a great variety to choose from. There was plenty of parking available, and the hotel was lovely and quiet, making for a very relaxing stay.

Wonderful place and I always enjoy my visits. The staff are great.
Everything was excellent, staff were attentive

Lovely hotel, clean and comfortable and ideal for a work trip. Sadly I did not get to sample the breakfast as being the only guest they did not have the kitchen open, this was the only negative.
Loved everything about hotel and our stay
The Staff, The Room and the Food was excellent. We stayed New Years Eve and have never felt such a genuine welcome from everyone. We were invited to join them in their function room to celebrate in the New Year and were joined by Local residents and their families as well as other quests. Mainly for families to be able to take their children to an event….it didn’t bother me us at all as everyone was so friendly. We met the owner Kerry and his son and his family and we came away feeling we had known them for ages. Highly recommend Thank you Jon and Maggie

Great location, we have stayed here several times. Great breakfast.
Very good cooked breakfast.
Nice breakfast with good service and plenty of choice
We have been a few times - so elegant and staff very polite & helpful. Plus set in lovely grounds.

The hotel was lovely. Nice views of the grounds from our window. The staff were exceptional. Friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here. Also, the food was great. We ate the 2 evenings that we stayed. Breakfast was very yummy.
I wish we could've stayed longer.
kamer was wat klein
Hello . The Staff were very friendly and polite ✓ nice clean room. Ample car park spaces . What topped it for me was a full English breakfast. Very fresh well cooked and great Cereal choice . . waitress nice and polite.. thank you Paul Kim. 😊
Slightest. Thing. prefer a softer mattress. But probably would suit other people . So not really a negative for other people.
Lovely relaxing place to stay with comfortable bed and good food. Great to relax after a day at work.
Very comfortable, friendly Team, very nice room, tasty food

Staff excellent. Food super.
I have stayed here before and it is perfect when travelling for work. Quiet, comfortable, clean and good food. 10/10

,Comfortable room, very clean. Breakfast was good, and a good choice of dishes for dinner, which were excellent. I accidently left a jumper behind, and they dealt with it swiftly and efficiently.
The bedroom was too hot in the evening, but a fan was provided.
Amazing rooms, lovely views , especially liked the residents lounge/ bar . Very quaint. Staff were all friendly , food fantastic

Very peaceful. Relaxing. Braised beef dinner was amazing 😍. Nice gardens. Good staff. Breakfast excellent.
Nothing.
Lovely and quiet location with comfortable, clean rooms, a good breakfast and with safe parking. The country house is just off the A21 within an easy drive from Hastings and St. Leonards. I would be happy to stay there again.
Petit déjeuner très bon. Propreté de la chambre et de la salle de bains. Literie de qualité.
Il est recommandé d'arriver avant 20h si vous voulez dîner sur place. À défaut, le personnel m'a proposé un plat de frites ... 😉
We had a really lovely experience at the Claverton Hotel. This was our second booking at the hotel. It is clean, affordable with a lovely breakfast. Many thanks
The Hotel was perfect for our trip, check in was very easy and the room very nice. Everyone at the hotel seemed very relaxed and welcoming and the breakfast was very good.

Lovely clean room with nice staff. Breakfast was good!
The sole positives were the fact that the location is good; and the fact that our little suite also included a private patch of lawn for our son to run around on.
The first thing one notices is the unpleasant odour; then one sees the grey, stained carpet and the “reception”, a small desk stuck in a narrow corridor under the stairs. In our suite the fridge was completely empty - no fresh milk or even bottles of water or anything it in at all; only UHT sachets of milk (do people really still use this these days?). In our entrance hall was a little chest of drawers / wardrobe set, with a limited amount of hanging space set quite low down, so if you are hanging dresses they will drape on the floor. When I opened a drawer to place clothes inside, I noticed that the back was hanging off the drawer, in mid-air. We were deeply disconcerted by the fact that the floor of the small bathroom was stained with what looked suspiciously like blood underneath the sink. The sitting area had two badly stained sofas and an MDF-type table with three chairs – one of which was missing a button-cover, thus exposing jagged bits of metal, ready to tear one’s clothing; and the arms of another of which flopped around, no longer properly secured to the body of the chair. The floor was dirty with crumbs and dust. There was a scagged and very dusty wooden / MDF TV stand, with a gouge out of its back and scuffed top, and very dusty shelves. One tiny twin bedroom and one tiny double bedroom completed the set-up, along with very scratched and scuffed walls. The breakfast was appallingly bad - limited choice and the food of an execrable standard. Possibly worst of all, however, was the filthy language that poured forth from the chef in the kitchen, every word clearly audible through the double-doors into the dining room, as he recounted to the waitress his night out the previous night; we found this deeply offensive, especially since we had a young child with us who has not been exposed to such language before. Despite making a strong complaint and asking to speak to the manager (not available, how convenient!), we were still charged £45 for breakfast.
Small intimate breakfast/dining room. Good pub type food. Great breakfast.
Nothing - all good for a small hotel
Location. Small family hotel. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast was exceptional.
Lovely hotel. We really enjoyed our stay. Nice room, comfortable bed, modern bathroom. The staff were so very friendly and efficient. Really exceptional breakfast. Great great great. We will be returning for sure.
