Reviewed Aug 29, 2026Host switched on the heatpump prior to our arrival, which was super nice on a wet day. Rooms were spacious, everything we needed was included or avaliable on request. As an ex motel cleaner I was thoroughly impressed with the level of cleanliness throughout out our entire apartment/room. The guest book in our room was one of the best I have seen - very informative. Brand new sparkling clean bathroom was nice. Location was really good and unit was set far back from the road so reasonably quiet. Very happy.
Construction next door, but its a city and progress is needed. I'm sure this will be not a problem when finished... didn't bother us too much at all.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2026Friendly welcome! It was nice to have such a large 2 bedroom apartment (advertised as 80m2). With 3 teenagers joining us it made the stay much nicer to have extra space. Everything was clean and tidy. Plunger coffee in the kitchen was an added bonus.
Only a couple minor things. There was no standard motel information folder in the room (found this hidden away in a bedside table before we left). No lock on the bathroom door.

Thought we had a oven but had a unit without one which was disappointing. However the information states most units have an oven so I should have requested our did. I lost something down the couch and took the seating off. Pretty disgusting, including clipped nails! The daily clean should include a quick vacuum as we were there for a few days and appeared not to have been done

The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating even when my flight arrived after the check in time frame. A lovely stay. I would definitely stay again if I am in the area.

Reviewed Jul 1, 2026The room was fresh and clean and had everything we needed for our nights stay. Bonus was that the heat pump had been turned on so it was nice and warm. The shower had lovely strong water pressure. I was happy to see that the room was a nice big size. oh and the drinking glasses were a decent size too.
Only negatives were the alarm clock needed a good clean and the remote for the tv was very slow to work when you pushed the buttons. Some traffic noise but it didnt keep us awake.

Had an oven in the kitchen. That rare these days. Was great to cook a couple lazy pizzas. I will definately recommend to friends and family.

Very disappointed as I requested for a single and a double bed in a room, but only have 1 double bed. So myself and my friend have to share the bed which is very uncomfortable for both of us. Couldn’t have a good sleep as guests on the upper room were very noisy at night and early in the morning.

It was very clean, and all the essentials—tableware, towels, tea bags, etc.—were provided. The staff clearly explained the parking, and each guest had a designated space, which was very convenient. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. We were happy for the price, too. If we come back to CHCH, we will stay this motel again. Pretty bakery is 5 mis walking distance, so we ate pastry from there as brekky.
