Noisy bar with late loud live music opposite our room. Not appreciated after a long day travelling when not yet in the party mood.

No staff onsite after 8pm. No lights working in hallway to rooms. Room 6 was directly opposite a bar with loud thumping music until 1.30am then traffic noise continued until 4am which started up again by 06.30=am. Totally unable to sleep all night due to the noise. Windows did hot stop the noise.

The breakfast coffee was dreadful, don't know what went wrong there, can you have instant coffee maybe? Still a nice place to stay 😌 though.

This was the only suitable hotel available in Preveza after our previously booked and paid for hotel, Evangeline masons, had cancelled our stay at the last minute. The hotel and Booking. com gave different reasons for this and the situation is still unresolved. As a result we had to pay double the price for two rooms in Captains house cos they couldn't fit two adults and two daughters aged 20 and 15,into one room. Captains House is a good residence, particularly it's location, but the breakfast is average as food wasn't labelled, no instructions for hot drinks dispensing, fruit and warm food was minimal. No lift in property is a nuisance.

Όλα υπέροχα, κάτι που δεν αλλάζει όμως είναι το μέγεθος του δωματίου που φυσικά δεν το θες και για πολλά πολλά παραμόνο για βραδυνή ξεκούραση και καθαρό μπάνιο. Και επίσης υπήρχε λίγη φασαρία το βράδυ από το απέναντι μαγαζί, μέχρι αργά.

Assolutamente da migliorare la colazione in base al rapporto qualità/prezzo: completa assenza di etichette per identificare gli alimenti offerti in stile buffet, caffè americano in dispenser davvero pessimo, poca varietà di scelta. Non c'erano scelte vegetali/lactose-free/gluten-free.

Reviewed Aug 6, 2026I think this is the best hotel in the area. It is very clean, beautiful, of high quality, and the staff are extremely attentive. It is also perfectly located with great local taxi coverage for those not driving.
My only issue was the shower - the glass is small so the surrounding floor can get very wet. The bathroom itself was clean, beautifully designed, and the daily turnover was impeccable.

Die Flexibilität des Personals im Hinblick auf die frühzeitige Nutzung des Parkplatzes, den wir einige Stunden vor dem Check-in nutzen konnten. Andere Hotels mit Parkplatz mit dieser zentralen Lage haben wir zu unserem Reistermin nicht gefunden.

Υπέροχη θέση πολυ κοντά σε μαρινα, εστιατόρια 5 κεπτα περπάτημα Παλιά αγορά (Seitan bazar ,Εκκλησία Αγιου Χαράλαμπος, στο Ρολόι Η αισθητική των χωρών πάντρεμα παλαιού και νεου . Καθαριότητα εξαιρετική. Υπεροχο σπιτικό πρωινό ποικιλία ρυζόγαλο,ζελέ ζεστά κρουασάν και πίττα,μια πολυ νόστιμη ομελέτα .. Ευχαριστούμε το προσωπικό που παρόλο την τελευταία στιγμής κράτηση μας περίμεναν 😊
Ελάχιστες θέσεις πάρκινγκ που πρέπει να ενημερώσεις για ξρατηση θέσης. Παρόλο αυτό ο υπεύθυνος ειχε καλη διάθεση να μας βοηθήσει όρια ανεύρεση χώρου.

Reviewed Jul 11, 2026Fantastic location, beautiful room and the entire interior just makes you feel like you stepped into something really magical. The hotel is in the centre of everything and it couldn't have worked better for us. Close to the marina, tavernas and great coffee shops. There's a lovely area outside to eat breakfast and drink morning coffee.
There are only a few car park spaces behind the hotel so just make sure you ask in advance. We had to park on the street which can be tricky in the evenings as it gets very busy. Breakfast was good, however, it's not something that will fill you for half the day. Small protions. Very tasty though! The staff is lovely and nice but it does feel sometimes that they don't want to interact in English. I do get it, they may just not feel confident enough 😌

Even though breakfast still lasted for more than an hour when we arrived, there was very little left to choose from, and most of what was on offer was very sweet. The staff did not approach us at all and did not refill anything by herself, only refilling the empty juice can after we asked for it. The bread basked was only refilled with a handful of rolls that almost broke our teeth.

Im Zimmer waren wenig Steckdosen. Entweder Fernseher oder Nachttischlampe mussten ausgesteckt werden und Handys zu laden.

Reviewed Jul 3, 2026Wunderschönes altes Haus aus der Türkenzeit, renoviert und jetzt eben das Hotel. Liegt schön am Hafen, nicht direkt aber 20 Meter entfernt. Die Altstadt ist direkt um die Ecke. Die Besitzerin war super nett und das Frühstück wie einfach alles war klasse.

Reviewed Jun 24, 2026Der Kontakt zwischen mir und dem Hotel wg u. a. Parkplatz wurde immer in kürzester Zeit beantwortet. Hotel liegt direkt am Hafen, ziemlich zentral. Gegenüber am Haupteingang ist ein Cafe/Bar. Unser Zimmer lag auf der anderen Seite, wir hatten zwei Balkone. Auf dem einen Balkon ist eine kleine Vorrichtung mit Klammern zum Wäsche aufhängen angebracht. Die Klimaanlage funktioniert sehr gut, man kann verschiedene Stufen selbstständig einstellen. Duschgel, Shampoo incl. Pflegespülung ist an der Dusche angebracht - angenehmer, dezenter Duft. Hausschuhe liegen im Zimmer. Laken zum zudecken war nur ein großes im Zimmer vorhanden. Haben aber am nächsten Tag auf Nachfrage gleich ein zweites bekommen! Frühstück ist gut, Luft nach oben gibt es immer!
Das einzige negative im Zimmer war das große, helle Fluchtweg Schild, welches nachts sehr hell war. Wir hatten da aber eine tolle Lösung gefunden: eine schwarze Bauchtasche hat direkt darüber gepasst 👌🤣.

Das Zimmer/Bad waren sehr sauber und groß mit Klimaanlage. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und sehr gut. Wir können dieses Hotel nur empfehlen.

Breakfast was disappointing due to limited choice and poor replenishment, leaving little for other guests. There was also noticeable night-time noise from a nearby coffee bar, with music continuing until around 3am. Overall, a pleasant stay with good potential, but some improvements needed around breakfast and noise control.

Reviewed May 26, 2026Außergewöhnlich gute Lage direkt am Hafen und den viele Tavernen/ Restaurants mit dem unvergleichlichen Flair. Sehr viele Möglichkeiten Fischgerichte zu essen. Auch Parken fast am Hotel war möglich.
Da ein Altbau, ist manches ein bisschen schwierig in den Zimmern angeordnet. Auf Einzel oder Doppelbett sollte man beim Einchecken achten. Die Verdunkelung war im ersten Zimmer nicht vollständig möglich. Ein bisschen Obst, wenigstens ein Apfel, oder Gemüse, z.B. immer Tomaten zur Auswahl am ansonsten guten Frühstücksbüfett würde sich sehr gut machen.

This is by far the most pleasant, smart, comfortable, well located, well designed, well equipped place I've stayed for this money in the 2 months I've been cycling through Europe. Bed comfortable. Bathroom, awesome design. Balcony cool. Location central but not super noisy. Staff super lovely.
