Výborné snidaně, super ochotný personál, hned u pláže. Krásný bazén a klid. Měli jsme problém s vanou a okamžitě bylo vyřešeno výměnou pokoje. Hotel jsme opouštěli ve 4 ráno a dostali jsme snídani s sebou. U bazénu happy hours na drinky. Určitě se řadí vrátíme

Klimatizace na pokoji byla hodně hlučná a málo výkonná. I když jsme nastavili na nejnižší možné stupně nestačila k vychlazení pokoje a bylo stále horko. Navíc byla hlučná tak že na noc jsme museli vypnout což trošku kazilo celkový dojem z hotelu

Also das ist mit Abstand das schlechteste Hotel, dass ich in Thailand jemals erlebt habe. Ich habe über 700 € bezahlt und ich habe einen Bungalow bekommen, der direkt inmitten der Menschenmenge war, die Leute konnten durch die Fenster alles sehen was ich mache, durch das Fenster hat man sogar auf meine Toilette gesehen! Die Klimaanlage war ekelhaft dreckig und als ich mich beschwert habe und gesagt habe dass ich in diesem Zimmer nicht bleiben kann, wurde mir gesagt dass kein anderes Zimmer verfügbar ist. Ich bin ausgecheckt und habe versucht mein Geld zurückzubekommen und plötzlich sagt das Hotel ich hätte ein anderes Zimmer abgelehnt! Achtung!

Les personnels (or équipe de management) qui sont réellement avenants et gentils. La proximité des restaurants qui offrent une alternative interessante à ce celui de l'hôtel.

Les ennuis ont commencés bien avant notre arrivée dans le sens ou j'avais réservé une chambre avec un lit d'appoint pour ma fille âgée de 9 ans et il m'a été demandé un supplément après la réservation (sachant que je ne pouvais pas annuler ma réservation initiale sans perdre l'intégralité de la sommer versée). Manque de transparence de l'établissement. Par la suite, la première phrase qui nous a été dite à notre arrivée était pour nous signifier que malheureusement notre chambre réservée au mois de janvier n'était plus disponible et que nous pouvions être relogé dans un autre établissement sans piscine ni accès à la plage totalement différent de notre choix initial avec des pseudos compensations financières . Ce que nous avons bien évidement refusé. Nous avons découvert par la suite que notre chambre était bien prévue et préparée à notre attention, la manœuvre consistant à nous reloger dans un autre établissement aurait alors permis vraissemblablement à Sand Sea Beach Resort de vendre notre chambre à un prix beaucoup plus avantageux à un autre client. Je trouve la démarche totalement déloyale et si je n'avais pas insisté nous nous serions retrouvé dans un établissement ne correspondant absolument pas à notre choix initial.

L’emplacement au bord de la plage, proche des quartiers animés de Lamai. Présence d’un restaurant à l’hôtel, ce qui est appréciable, le petit déjeuner est excellent. Le personnel est très sympathique et serviable. Massages également disponible à l’hôtel et dispensés au bord de la plage!

The Sand Sea resort has a great location along Lamai Beach, as it is a bit off the main strip but very walkable. The staff was hospitable, with a particular thank you to Cindy, the cleaning staff, and the breakfast team. The rooms were made up nicely each day and breakfast had multiple options.

I booked Sand Sea resort in January 2026, and one day before my arrival in July 2026, they messaged me to say they had moved my reservation to their sister hotel. This hotel is located in a different area, with no beach access or restaurant. A very long story short, I called with Sand Sea multiple times and was able to remain at the resort. The issue was down to some construction, which did not end up bothering me at all. In my feedback to the management, I explained that I understand construction and operational issues occur, but that their contingency planning and handling of the communication was severely lacking. They were apologetic and kind overall in their interpersonal communication in the in person conversations. I did not receive any compensation for the inconveniences caused until I asked for a one hour late check out (they said no, until I reminded them of this whole issue and then they also added an airport transfer). I would not stay here again due to their internal organization and management, despite the overall positive experience at the actual resort. A note that I cannot comment on further, as it is not my own experience, is that we overheard other guests also very upset because they were transferred to the other hotel without their knowledge. I wish Sand Sea Resort the best, as their staff is kind and their location is great.

The rooms were great, we got our own villa very close to the rest of the resort but still quiet. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was very very good! Right on the beach and a 7 min walk from the main Lamai strip with restaurants/bars and shops.

The resort is located on the north side of the beach but the beach itself was much nicer as you went south, water was cleaner and sand was softer as you went down. However, the beach where the resort is is much quieter and almost private, so it depends what you value more.

Location is very far out from city. If you are looking to do the activities around it, then its fine Room was hot as the aircon took a long time to cool the room down.

Le lit n'était pas très confortable et il était parfois compliqué de communiquer avec le personnel de l'hôtel. Je rajouterai même une climatisation très bruyante.

Nelle camere lo spazio non manca, e anche la luce data da una grande finestra. La nostra camera affacciava sul giardino principale a sua volta dotato di piscina. La cordialità dei dipendenti è il tocco aggiuntivo: sono molto attenti a garantire tutti i confort venendo in contro ad ogni esigenza, a noi hanno lasciato usare una camera per fare la doccia prima di partire con il volo la sera, potendo così godere senza problemi di un'ultima giornata di mare. Colazione a buffet con molte alternative, con tavoli apparecchiati e vista mare. Non ho dubbi che in futuro ci tornerò.

L'aria condizionata è un po' rumorosa. Ciò nonostante sia io che mio marito abbiamo dormito senza problemi.

The staff were first class, always smiling and very attentive. Beach was great, clear water and a nice temperature. I did not use the pool but it looked very good, especially for young families. The room was fine although I could not quite work out the air conditioner. TV was well located and a good selection of PayTV options. The resort is located very close to a 7-11 and the Lamai Market, great for eating options.

Gut gelegen, nur wenige Minuten vom Dorf entfernt mit allen Restaurants etc. Schöner Strand, ruhig und freundliches Personal. Frühstück war gut!

Dringend modernisieren. Rasenteppich rund um den Pool ist richtig eklig. Vom Pool haben die Kinder Ausschlag bekommen und die Badeklamotten hat es verfärbt… keine Ahnung was die da rein tun.

Lugn och härlig oas, väldigt trevlig och tillmötesgående personal. Fina och stora rum, extra plus för badrum/dusch och toalett separerat.

Sängarna oxh kuddar var fruktansvärt obekväma. Samt att man envisades med att bädda med två lakan för att det var stora sängar instället för att köpa in stora lakan. Petitesser kanske, men sömnen på ett hotell är rätt stor del av upplevelsen.

This resort is quite old and you can feel it here and there but nothing serious. Rooms are clean and comfy, with good AC. Huge bathroom, spacious shower for two or more people. Rooms are located just by the beach, inside mini-jungle, birds making noise, etc. Great breakfast space with sea view, the food is very good, the staff is super-friendly. Bike rental available on-site, very handy.

The beach is just so-so. The sand is very rough (nothing like Polish fine sand Baltic beaches) and swimming is not comfy because of the rocks. Need to walk away to find smooth water entry. The beach is heavily lit during the night, you can't even see the sky, bummer.

Awesome position right in the quiet end of the beach. Lovely staff always smiling and helpful. The room was lovely. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and happy helpful staff. We loved our room right on the beach. Easy walk to the markets.

The king bed was a little hard for our liking. The massage tent was to the left side of our view.

Am Strand direkt, Unterkunft im Haus. Upgrade auf Poolseite bekommen. Dieses war wohl auch besser. Frühstück mit vollen Service.

Sauberkeit allgemein, unterscheidet sich aber nicht von der generellen Sauberkeit auf der Insel. Die Liegenauflagen waren immer sehr verschmutzt.

Big room and the location was perfect!

There was construction across the hotel, so there were some noises early in the morning.

upon arrival I received an upgrade to a little beach villa. waauw. I can recommend to book these instead of any other room. waking up with the waves in front of you is worth every penny. I had a newly renovated villa and it was just perfect for one person. there is a lounge chair also inside so if tonometrie your windows, you have the comfort of being in the shade while overlooking the sea. the location is within perfect walking distance to Lamai night market and plenty of restaurants. you will have enough places to rest in comfortable chairs at the beach. for a few days, I can assure you there is no reason to leave :) this side of the island is the sunrise side so wake up early to experience. while I was there it was full moon and I can assure you, it is stunning. staff is the most friendly I experienced during my Thailand stay. the restaurant offers very tasteful food and the cocktails are really good, my compliments!

if there is one thing I can think of, maybe to provide a proper space for stalling your suitcase and also a few hooks on the walls for hanging clothes.

We quite enjoyed this property. We participated in the included breakfast, which was several options in a buffet style breakfast also including perfectly made French omelettes pancakes, Meats, local stirfry type food, fruit, fruit, juice, and coffee. It was very well located as we were able to walk to the walking street as well as walking up the beach and accessing several of the other resorts, restaurants, bars, and able to walk into town easily. Our rim was the beachfront bungalow, which is located right on the beach only a few feet from the water. The staff was excellent.

There was only two things that I did not like about this property. The number one problem was that our room had no privacy because traffic to other rooms walked immediately in front of our sliding glass door that opens to the beach, so there is no privacy at all. Of course you can close the curtains, but when you want to have the curtains open and doors open, you will be having people walk immediately in front of your room. The only other thing I would have liked was for the beach to have been cleared of the debris. We were there during shoulder season, so maybe they do during the high season.

What an amazing resort. We had a suite directly facing the beach literally. A little porch to take in the views and the lovely weather. The suite was right next to the pool. And the breakfast restaurant was also facing the beach. Food variety was great. Room service menu had so many options. Recommended. A++++

We stayed in a suite that was really nice however the bed has four posts one of each corner which was blocking the view to the TV when sitting on the bed.

Das Personal war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der (kostenpflichtige) Abholservice vom Flughafen hat reibungslos funktioniert. Wir haben zu Ehren unseres 25. Hochzeitsjubiläums ein Upgrade zu einem Strandbungalow erhalten, mit süßem Blumen- und Blätterschmuck. Vielen Dank nochmals dafür. Die Lage war sehr gut, Baden direkt vom Bungalow aus- traumhaft. Bett war sehr bequem, Frühstück reichlich und mit großer Auswahl, auch Eierspeisen wurden auf Wunsch frisch zubereitet.

Es gibt unsererseits nichts; Um es noch komfortabler zu machen, wäre ein kleines Ablageregal im Badezimmer super.

The upgrade that we got, from an ocean view room to a beachfront cabin. That was the best part. The stay was right on the beach. Charging points were a bit loose. Make sure you carry universal adapters.

The breakfast food options were just okay. Don't expect a lot, but there's definitely variety.

The Royal Pool Villa Beachfront was absolutely awesome. We loved the room so much. It’s spacious, clean, and everything was perfectly functional. Having the pool right on the beach was such a treat for us. Housekeeping and pool cleaning staff were kind and professional. The entire team of staff at the hotel were very kind and welcoming. Called us by our names the whole time and were ready to help with anything. Location is perfect and close to everything you need in Lamai. The property is older but we liked that an found it charming. The staff really tried their best!

We felt breakfast was just underwhelming for the price. If we came back, we would skip breakfast and go out as there are so many places close by.

Sand Sea Beach had a quaint and lovely vibe about it. The breakfast was good and we ate dinner there one night which was also good.

The property is right on the beach and we had a beachfront villa that we loved. Unfortunately the sea in front of the property (and further north) wasn’t nice for swimming - possibly due to currents at the time we stayed, but we needed to walk a few hundred metres south for the beautiful clear waters that Lamai is known for.

Ich bekam ein Upgrade auf eine kleine Gartenvilla, was meine Erwartungen zu meinem Zimmer übertroffen hat. Das Frühstück ausreichend und sehr vielfälltig. Personal ausserordentlich nett und zuvorkommend. Schöner Ausblick aufs Meer und den Sonnenaufgang beim Fühstück. Auch bemerkenswert die tollen Abende mit BBQ und Fireshows.

Strandteil , waren viele dicken Steine im Meer auf dem Strandabteil. Ein kleiner Fitnessraum in der Anlage waere toll. Parkplatz war mit Draht geschlossen, konnte Moped aber davor abstellen.

The rubbish on the beach, hard mattress, but not as bad as some other places stayed.

The property is located close to amenities, but far enough away to not hear music or traffic. Our villa was clean and well presented, slightly dated, but don’t let that put you off. Really comfy bed. Staff are superb, very helpful. There is a wide range of breakfast foods (including veggie), and a good cocktail menu, reasonably priced. Would I stay again? Yes, definitely.

Not sure if the swimming pool is discolouring our swim wear. Swim wear has gone a reddish colour, and doesn’t wash out.

The beach unfortunately has much litter with minimal if any cleanup program. Also tar was a problem about 1/2 the time, and people letting their dogs do their doo in the water! Not a problem if you are a pool person, but we are ocean people

Fraaie ligging direct aan het strand, wij hadden huisje A08. De andere kamertypes lijken me niet zo mooi gelegen, maar zijn uiteraard wel gunstiger geprijsd. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, mooie ontbijtzaal. Ook late night market is dichtbij, evenals vele andere eetgelegenheden en de 7-eleven.

Keuze ontbijtbuffet was niet zo onze smaak. Huisje is wat aan de krappe kant en heeft veel inkijk (gordijnen liever dichthouden). De zeebodem is vanaf het strand heel rotsig, waterschoenen meenemen.

La climatisation en chambre trop bruyante

Staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. Luggage was handled entirely by staff and delivered straight to our room. Warm welcome with a full tour of the facilities and room on arrival. Excellent beachfront location — walk straight out onto the beach. Peaceful atmosphere; never felt too busy. Room was immaculate and beautifully presented (including towel origami on arrival). Fantastic air conditioning and good shower facilities. Beach towels provided and replaced whenever needed. Plenty of sun loungers for relaxing. Nice-sized pool (looked clean and well maintained). Bar music was present but not intrusive. Overall a great choice for a relaxing couples’ getaway.

Breakfast was a bit “middle of the road” — adequate but nothing special.

Staff was AMAZING and it was a beautiful place to be. So easy to stay by the pool all day instead of adventuring out into Koh Samui!

Great friendly staff…

Quiet area of Lamai, yet close to night market and within walkable distance of the busy area. Family friendly boutique resort, quiet atmosphere and in a quiet beach area. We had a seafront bungalow, and it was really great to wake up everyday to the seaview. The bungalow is really close to the water and you can listen to the waves while you fall asleep, even with all doors closed, very soothing. You also have your own sunbeds in front. It feels like a dream. Our kid loved the pool. The restaurant is pretty good and prices were reasonable. You can of course order food and eat it on your sunbed on the beach. 7-eleven around the corner.

The sunbeds in front of the bungalows are private but other guests don’t know or play fool so almost every day random people will occupy the private sunbeds in front of your bungalow that you paid for. Yes, you can tell people off or have the staff do this for you, but it feels weird. There should be some small signs in front of each bungalow and/or guests should be educated on check-in.

Great staff and good sized rooms. The beach is lovely but the sea is a bit dirty due to it hitting rocks before and all the rubbish that gets washed up from idiots who throw plastic in the sea. Locals try hard to keep it clean. If you walk right along the beach you'll find better sea and lots of places to stop and relax. Breakfast here is nice with fantastic views of the sea. Their BBQ night on the beach is very nice and the fire show was good. Bring ear plugs for the noisy bird that surely must be exhausted ha ha. The bed is hard but I find that a lot in Thailand. Pools lovely and clean and the sunbeds are very comfortable. They have great beach towels.

Bungalowy są urocze i połozone w pięknym ogrodzie. Lokalizacja jest bardzo dobra, jest bardzo blisko do nocnego marketu i sklepu. Hotel oferuje także spory basen.

Śniadania były słabe. Niestey plaża Lamai w pobliżu hotelu jest brudna. Hotel stara się oczyszczać ją w pobliżu domków, jednakże wystarczy odejść kawałek dalej i można zobaczyć sporo śmieci.

Enjoyed every moment of our stay at this venue. I will never forget the amazing service we received, all the way from reception, house keeping, waitering staff and the lovely Pond and Boy behind the bar. Every request made was met with exceptional results. I highly recommend Sand Sea Beach Resort and will for always cherish the beautiful memories that were made there.

Man kan ikke kalde det haveudsigt, når man kikker ud på en sti med beplantning og et plankeværk. Billederne på booking.com er fra da hotellet var nyt, og er meget langt fra virkeligheden, og svarer derfor ikke til prisen. Vi spurgte om nye værelser, fik det tilbudt, men afslog, da prisen var 10.000 bath for 3 overnatninger ( oven i det vi allerede havde betalt)

Wir hatten eine Villa direkt am Strand, und es war sehr schön. Blick klasse, alles schön sauber. Das Hotel bemüht sich wirklich, auch am Abend gibt es häufig Life Musik, Feuer Show, Grill Abende.

Im Badezimmer ist leider ein sehr unguter Geruch, fast immer, das hatte ich schon gelesen, und das war das Einzige was wirklich störte.

The staff were very friendly and were looked after extremely well. It was close enough to the bars but far enough away not to hear them. Excellent location.

The omelette which were made to order were fantastic but the rest of the food was cooler.

The location was perfect, just far away from the bars and right on the beach. It has 33 rooms in total, very chilled and offers themed nights. Our room was a Deluxe Garden which had a sea view and a porch. Separate dressing table with hair dryer and also wash basin. The shower/toilet was down some stone steps which when wet, are slippery. Hotel provided own beach bag with beach towels that were replaced every night. The room was cleaned every day, nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff. Good value for money, rate included breakfast.

We loved every minute of our stay. Our bungalow on the beach was fantastic and just the perfect location Ai and the team of staff were wonderful and a pleasure to interact with no matter what we needed. They were very friendly and so helpful. Hopefully we'll be back next year and will definitely stay at Sand Sea Beach Resort. Loved it!! Thank you

Great resort with plenty of sunbeds both by the beach and the pool, making it easy to relax without any hassle. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and everything was kept very clean and well maintained throughout our stay. We visited for two weeks at the beginning of March. The weather was generally nice, with a short daily shower that didn’t bother us. There were some bigger waves and quite a bit of seaweed and debris on the beach, which made it less suitable for kids. Since we prefer a calmer sea, we explored a few beaches in the northeast of the island, which we really enjoyed. We had breakfast included, served until 10 am, with a good selection of both European and Thai dishes. We also had lunch and dinner at the resort a few times, and the food was absolutely amazing. There are two markets within walking distance which are definitely worth a visit. Getting around was easy—Grab and Bolt were always available and very affordable, so we used them frequently instead of renting a scooter. There were a couple of minor issues during our stay, but the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to make things right. Their excellent service truly made the experience special. We also recommend visiting the Capybara café—it was a fun and unique experience! Overall, the resort may be rated 3 stars, but the amazing staff definitely make it feel like a 5-star stay. Would definitely recommend! Lucia&Zdenek 🤗

Der Gartenbungalow hat uns sehr gut gefallen,es war sehr sauber und es gibt Handtücher für den Strand. Es gab genügend Liegen am Strand, auch genug Schatten Möglichkeiten. Die Lage ist ruhig und trotzdem ist man schnell im Geschehen. Wer ein einfaches und sauberes Hotel mit nettem Personal sucht, kann hier auf jeden Fall buchen. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Der Weg zum Hotel und der Eingangsbereich wirken nicht sehr einladend und auch der Poolbereich mit dem grünen Teppich wirkt eher abgenutzt wobei der Pool sehr sauber wirkte.

Perfekte Lage am Strand und fußläufig alles wichtige zu erreichen. Ein paar Meter ab vom Schuss, aber der Ziehweg endet direkt an der Hauptstraße. Man kann auch über den Strand in Richtung Markt und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gehen, was eine sehr schöne Abkürzung ist. Großes Badezimmer.

Anlage ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Kunstrasen um den Pool ist Geschmackssache. Liegen werden morgens via Handtuch reserviert. Whirlpool im Zimmer maximal veraltet und nicht zu nutzen.
