Sadly, I was ill and didn’t go, but have my two friends information. They were happy with the hotel overall. The location re; the Sheepdog trail was great.

It was soooo steep to get up the stairs to the second floor. It would have been nice if they had offered to take our bags up as it was a struggle

Super zentrale Lage, tolles Pub und ein sehr herzliches Team. Das Zimmer war sauber, renoviert und funktional top. Ein grosses Lob an die Mitarbeiter, die unsere Taschen mit viel Humor über die schmale, steile Treppe in den 2. Stock (kein Lift) getragen haben!

Man wohnt in der Geschichte: Die Wände sind dünn, es ist hellhörig und das Zimmer zittert, wenn auf dem Gang jemand geht. Die Renovierung ist für englische Verhältnisse völlig normal und okay – wer allerdings Schweizer Perfektion bei der Verarbeitung und in den Ecken erwartet, sollte lieber wegschauen.

We had booked four rooms in total as a family and had not expected that some would be accessed through a very tight stairwell. The rooms on the second floor were okay but not worth the money. The access, the mattress quality and very little hanging facilities. We were all attending a family wedding.

Avrei voluto stare più giorni. Permanenza da sogno in questo splendido hotel! Staff gentilissimo e disponibile, alloggio accogliente, pulito, confortevole e caratteristico. Servizi eccellenti, colazione buonissima.

Great location, nice room and comfortable. The ceilings and doors were very low for me and I banged my head a fees time but that’s to be expected with a very old building and being tall. Great breakfast aswell Just be aware of steep stairs to some of the rooms

Zeer leuk en authentiek hotel. Alles was zeer verzorgd.

Carla, the manager, was fantastic! Really friendly and helpful. Overall, loved our stay.

The building is very old which is lovely, but in terms of practicality isn’t ideal! We both had to sit down in the bath (couldn’t stand for a shower) because the ceiling was so low.

La posizione è centralissima e molto comodo il parcheggio privato gratuito (che va prenotato prima perché non è grande). La colazione è molto varia ed abbondante. Staff cordiale e gentile.

La camera è davvero poco insonorizzata, si sentiva la tv della stanza accanto come se fosse nella nostra.

Very steep stairs to top floor. Being in our 70s/80s we would have preferred a room on lower floors. However we do appreciate the historical age of the hotel and what goes with it. Would definitely stay there again.

The steps are very steep as its on the highest floor, and as a person with difficulty walking I found this very challenging and needed assistance from my partner to navigate these.

The attitude of the staff was excellent. Very friendly and always happy to help. The breakfasts are very good and a good range of options. The location - in the main square - is excellent and although central it is very quiet late at night : which is good for sleeping.

Nothing But worth mentioning as others have that the stairs up to the second floor floor are exceptionally steep and would not suit anyone elderly or with any physical issues

Quarto muito quente, sem ar condicionado. Existia uma ventoinha mas o calor era imenso! Talvez seja um momento excecionalmente quente em Inglaterra e por isso os quartos não estão preparados para tanto calor ( hoje à volta de 40 graus).

Emplacement idéal pour visiter la région. Equipements de la chambre et prestations de qualité, excellente literie. accueil très agréable. Parking dans l'hôtel très appréciable.

Amazing old inn - felt like we stepped back in time. Both outside and inside retained the old time feel! Full English breakfast was great!

Tv would not get all channels - staff attempted to help but without success and said they would get someone in to fix - we survived 😄

Although the details mentioned a lot of steps the last flight were very steep and narrow which was difficult to climb with a suitcase. However once up the stairs the room was perfect with a prime view of the square.

I liked the ambience, the style, the history. The age and character were cool, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Loved the location and town, beautiful shops and church.

Breakfast was a little over cooked each morning. The beds were not comfortable . The actual bed and the mattress, waking each day to stiff back and necks.

The staff told us that they would register our car on their iPad, as the iPad or the network was not working when we arrived. We were surprised later when we received a letter from the car rental company saying that we had to pay £100 as a fee. I contacted the hotel via Booking.com, by phone, and by email, but never received a response. This was very disappointing as it was their fault and cost me a lot of money (not to mention the price of the hotel itself). So beware — they might not actually help you even if they say they will. I would be happy to withdraw my criticism if they contacted me and reimbursed me for this amount.

Location in Stow is excellent. Great to stay in such a historic building.

Only 1 issue is that the stairs are dark on 2 flights and not easy to see steps so the dark steps just need a white painted edge on them as some others are

・2階に寝室があり、外履きで寝室に入らずに済んだので、寝室を清潔を保つことができました。 ・シャワーの水圧、温度ともに十分満足のいくレベルでした。 ・毎日飲料用のお水が1人1本ずつもらえたので、ありがたかったです。 ・駐車場が無料で敷地内に確保されていたので、レンタカーで行っても困りませんでした。 ・部屋は表の通りから離れていたので、とても静かで夜ストレスなく寝ることができました。

The staff were happy to help at any time 😁 Food was amazing thank you to the chef's Clean towels everyday, cant fault the place. Great views from the room onto the village .

Our room was at the top of the buliding so stairs was very steep, but baring in mind it's a 500 year old building.

Die Lage, das urige alte Haus!

Die sehr enge, steile Treppe ins Zimmer war zwar ganz lustig, aber eben auch schwierig zu bewältigen.Erforferte eine gewisse Beweglichkeit und Kraft mit Koffer.

Very central position in Stow which is a great base to tour the Cotswolds. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great. Our room, one of the courtyard cottages, was clean and well equipped for our stay.

We were there over the recent heatwave and the room was not equipped to cope as only one 1 small opening window. Our room was duplex and we were unable to use the lounge area upstairs to relax with the TV as the heat was unbearable. Obviously not the fault of the hotel but may be worth them providing a fan to cater for hot periods. The only way we coped was leaving our door open when in the room but this isn't ideal as there is a lot of footfall there as it is a cut through to the main square and open to the public. This isn't a criticism of the hotel, merely a suggestion for their consideration as we are predicted more hot periods.

Quaint cottage accommodation which was very clean with extras such as shampoo. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival. A much needed fan was also in the room. We ate our main meals there and we both enjoyed. Good menu choices.

The TV didn't work and the breakfast was a bit slow we waited around 40 minutes.

We stayed 2 nights in a cottage facility attached to the hotel. Lovely and very quaint to match the history of the hotel and the town.

Really lovely hotel and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Property very reasonably priced. Evening meals were immense.

T market square is quite lively on a Friday and Saturday night, and the shops next door have very early deliveries, which would have been fine except our room was right on the front so not the most refreshing stay but no fault of the hotel, just busier than what we are used to.

There was nothing wrong with this property. I booked 2 nights in January for a stay in May. Upon arrival I was advised that Booking.com had failed to notify the property of my booking. I was due to attend a wedding the following day. However booking.com are pestering me to give a review. So accommodation great. Booking.com NOT

Soundproofing not adequate. Could hear people talking in next room and their dog barking. Windows single glazed and damaged. Very small tv which broke immediately. Eventually got a replacement tv. We were asked if we wanted the rooms to be refreshed and also replenish tea coffee etc. we said yes but this did not happen during our 2 night stay. Shower room was very small and had a musty smell. We had a little one up one down cottage type room which I didn’t realise. It was ok but a bit of a faff as shower room was downstairs and bedroom upstairs. Double bed was two singles pushed together, not good for romantic weekend. Stairs to bedroom were very steep and satiated. Anyone with any mobility issue would really struggle.

The room was a beautiful attic room with very low ceilings ( very difficult to negotiate with anyone over 6ft. ) Access up an extremely steep rickety staircase which meant you needed to be fairly fit to get up there

The food was hit and miss ! We had a meal in the evening when we arrived which was nice . However the breakfast could be better and had a dirty cup and saucer which also had a chip on it !

This hotel was in a perfect location, right in the center of Stow-on-the-Wold. Very cozy and provided all we needed. We loved the included breakfast and that it was above a restaurant for dinner. Helpful and kind staff.

Lovely staff. Very friendly and accommodating. Cosy rooms and great lounge/kitchen set up. Very good value for money. Some of the other pubs I used to come to in the area have lost a bit of their charm. This one hasn’t.

Nothing really. We stayed 3 nights,had no room service,no replenishment of tea,milk,biscuits. They never cleaned the wash room or even emptied tge bin. On first observation the accommodation was quite quirky,but ended up being quite a hazard. The bed was upstairs but the toilet down stairs so at night time it proved a bit scary . There was hardly any staff. One girl doing all the breakfasts...she dud her best. The first night we ate in the bar area which served as the 'restaurant' and both things I ordered,they did not have. Very disappointing.We would not stay there again

There was no communal lounge to rest. The 'restaurant ' and breakfast area were also the bar area.As previously mentioned,nobody attended to the room,bed,coffee,tea bags,biscuits were not replenished

Location was perfect.

2nd floor room accessed via very steep stairs. Floor in room very uneven bed propped up on one side to even it up. Very noisy from around 1pm onwards right by a storage room.

Poor organisation, ran out of food at 6pm on a Saturday night & had to refund customers who had waited for their food. I felt sorry for the girl behind the bar but the other staff were useless.

I stayed in something called a cottage - and it really needs some updating. Rusty shower shelf, underwhelming shelves on wall my sink and sink unit . Floor could do with replacing in Bathroom. Disappointing dinner and breakfast
