Hotel & Hostel de Prince

Very nice hotel and location, they did a great job with the room style in a small space. I was happy with the hotel and was comfortable and would like to come back.

Heel leuk appartement op benedenverdieping, je loopt zo de leukste winkelstraat in. Omdat het een steegje is, is het toch rustig. Er was weinig koffie, maar dit werd aangevuld toen we dat vroegen. We kregen het fornuis niet aan, ook dat werd redelijk vlot en keurig netjes opgelost. Daarna kregen we de oven ook niet aan. Een handleiding van fornuis en oven/magnetron misten wij dus. De boiler was best snel leeg, dus beetje opletten met douchen. De slaapbank ligt niet zo fijn. De andere bedden zijn prima. Boven is het best warm, gelukkig kon er een kiepraam open. Alles is keurig schoon en gezellig. Voor 3 personen een uitstekend appartement!

Leuk appartement in een gezellig straatje op loopafstand van alles. Wel wat warm tijdens slapen en er kon geen raam open (geen airco) Goed ontbijt!

Check in was easy and very friendly! Was helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Great location.

Perfect spot for a stroll over Nimwegen. Public Parking is nearby, Hotel is on a pedestrian zone. Wonderful stores and good restaurants around. Wifi and Breakfast are good too

Ligging prima. Prima bed. Sanitair lekt waardoor badkamer steeds een natte vloer heeft.

Prachtige kamer, super ontbijt, vriendelijk personeel.

Room is no frills but clean and comfortable with a kettle, coffee and sink. Stairs quite steep in the building so bear in mind if you are mobility impaired.

We arrived at the hotel after traveling for 8 hours on NYE to be told that the double room I had booked was in fact a single room. The receptionist never apologised or offered any discount which was very disappointing. He organised for a put-up bed to be made on the floor meaning the room was tiny and very uncomfortable.. especially for 2 people. We wouldn't have minded if the receptionist had apologised. Instead I ended up paying more money for a bed half the size. I contacted hotels.com who called up Hotel de Price to raise the concern and the hotel told them that they don't provide compensation. I will never stay here again due to this. It's an issue which is easily solved! Please keep this in mind when booking here.

Voor 3 volwassenen geboekt, waren maar 2 bedden. Vervallen, slecht onderhouden, slechte bedden en niet meer kunnen ontbijten terwijl het nog niet de eindtijd was.

Amazing, very comfortable and relaxed

Ik kan alleen spreken over het appartement dat wij hebben geboekt. Eigenlijk vergelijkbaar met een studenten kamer. Kamer, keuken en toilet en douche bevinden zijn niet aansluitend. Hiervoor moet je de gang over waar andere bezoekers langs lopen. - Kamer: vochtig en bed heeft een onderstel van een twijfelaar waar 2 matrassen op zijn gelegd. Dus stil liggen en niet draaien. Anders lig je met matras en al op de grond. - Keuken: service was smerig net als de koelkast. Achter de wasbak zat schimmel. - Douche: ok. - Toilet: Lamp was kapot en de muur brokkelde letterlijk af. Deze zat vol met gaten. Het idee is leuk met allerlei appartementen en kamers verspreid in de straat. (kamers bevinden zicht op verschillende locaties). Maar het is niet netjes afgewerkt en ziet er onverzorgd uit. Mocht je nog een keer een nostalgische gedachte hebben over je studenten tijd. Dan heb je nu een adresje op het nog eens over te doen. Personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Dus aan hen ligt het niet.

Situated on the outskirts of the town centre only a few minutes walk from the train station with easy access to bars, restaurants and shops and just a few yards from a little park. Breakfast looked lovely, plentiful and varied,

Bei Brand, Tödlich. Plazangst ist vorprogramiert. Sauber, ja auch die Gemeinschafts Sanitären anlagen.

Prettig hotel. Schoon, gezellig en zeer goede locatie in leuke buurt. Eigenaren zijn erg vriendelijk. Ontbijt is uitgebreid.

Fijne kamer, eenvoudig, in het centrum. We keken uit op de winkelstraat. Alle bezienswaardigheden en het station op korte loopafstand. Goed ontbijtbuffet.

De stijl was erg mooi, in de badkamer bleef wel een best vervelende rioollucht hangen.

Das Zimmer war völlig überteuert! Bei einer Veranstaltung im Goffertpark werden die Preise verdreifacht, das Zimmer wäre für den normalen Preis ok gewesen, aber so war es unverschämt teuer!

Foto’s zijn mooier dan de werkelijkheid. Bedden lagen wel heel goed.

Verlichting bij de was bak ontbreekt, douche ontbreekt mengkraan

Die Lage der Unterkunft war okay. Auch das Frühstück war gut. Preis passte zur Leistung. Zimmer waren alt. Zugang über eine sehr steile Treppe. Waschbecken war im Schlafraum. Zustellbett war schlecht gefedert.

De ligging was prachtig. Maar de kamer gedateerd en erg gehorig.

מלון לא סטנדרטי, דלפק הקבלה נמצא בתוך מסעדה ששם אוכלים גם ארוחת בוקר. הצוות אדיב אבל צריך לשרת גם את הבאים למסעדה וגם את הבאים למלון באותו הזמן. ארוחת בוקר טובה, מיקום המלון נמצא במדרחוב יפה שפעיל ברוב שעות היום והערב. חדרי המלון נמצאים מפוזרים בכניסות שונות של הרחוב. לנו לקחת כמה דקות להבין איפה נמצא החדר. החדר היה בקומה השניה והגישה היתה מאוד קשה. המדרגות תלולות מאוד ולא מומלצות לאנשים מבוגרים. בטוח שלא לאנשים עם מוגבלויות. החדר קומפקטי יש בו כל מה שצריך כולל מקלחת עם מים חמים כל הזמן חשוב מאוד בחורף הקר. בלילה ההסקה הפסיקה משום מה לעבוד והיה די קר בחדר.

Knus hotelletje vlakbij de Waal en het Kronenburgerpark. In leuke winkelstraat

Lekker dicht bij het centrum. Onze eenvoudige maar schone kamers zaten in een ander gebouw 150 m naast de B&B. Toilet en douche op de overloop, maar voldeed. Ontbijt in de B&B zelf was goed.

Hele leuke plek in een winkelstraat en vriendelijk personeel, maar de kamers - vooral de badkamers - zijn toe aan een update. Vergane glorie, met in onxe badkamer schimmel op de muur. Lastig voor ouderen: zeer steile trappen. Bovendien kun je de B &B niet met de auto bereiken, want de winkelstraat is autovrij, Parkeerplaats 10 minuten lopen.

Posizione ottima. Il personale è accogliente. Le stanze un po' piccole ma dotate di ogni confort. La colazione è abbondante. Buona qualità prezzo.

Wir waren mit unserem 10 Monaten alten Kind dort und hatten ein Zimmer im 3. Stock. Mussten den Kinderwagen etc bis oben hin tragen da es direkt vor Ort auch keine Parkmöglichkeiten gibt. Der Parkplatz ist gute 6min zu Fuß entfernt.

Foi uma boa estadia. O quarto bom, equipe 10! Um problema grande pra subir até o quarto necessitava subir uma escada íngrime e looooonga ! Eu estava com 2 malas de 30 kg portanto foi bem ruim

Perfect, romantic, intimate!

I was here for the Giro d'Italia. The Wifi was great and very reliable, the coffee was sachets that you put in disposable paper cups, which I found better than using tea stained mugs. However, the room wasn't serviced during my stay and the duvet cover was more goff white/grey than white. The breakfast on my second day I asked for Juice and Coffee and if I was still there now, chances are I'd still not get it. On paying my bill I would've informed them of my grievances but I was asked to pay and not asked if I enjoyed my stay at all, a case of pay and go away.

First of all, i applied filter for only hotels with parking. This hotel is on a pedestrian street - nearest parking 5 minute walk away. When i eventually found the correct address- with all luggage, in pouring rain, there was no hotel reception - only notice on door saying to go to a different building down the road. Eventually i was given room key - told to go back down the road. Once in the correct building, i had to literally CLIMB the stairs - nearly impossible with large suitcase. Room was minimal - no heating

Good points: super central, clean and well-presented recently redecorated room. Friendly staff and nice breakfast buffet. As other reviews pointed out, it's run from a cafe ("bagels and beans" I think). The rooms are essentially above shops that are a few doors down the same street. Access was with swipe cards- I checked in about 6pm on a Sunday and was shown where it was. I paid €67.50 in total for a single room, which seemed fair in context. Bad points: not ideal if you have issues with stairs or have lots of luggage. There were multiple flights of old steep stairs. I enjoyed the old building! But I had just a rucksack! So at least enquire further if stairs will be an issue for you.

Great location, comfortable room (room 22). Very small shower room, but the shower was warm and powerful. Breakfast is fine, an enjoyable feast of bagels, cheeses, meats, fruit salad, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. Plenty places nearby to eat in the evening - my recommendation is Cafe Funkenstein, just across the road. Quite simply the best burger I've ever tasted!

Very convenient-right in the middle of everything. Very basic but suited our needs. Staff were very nice. Could have done with a safe for our passports and a second key would have been a bonus.

When the road shrank to bike width and our satnav hit the bollards we knew we were in for an interesting stay. I should have read the "hotel" description more closely. The main address is a single doorway to flats. The rooms - excellently appointed with modern decor - are in 6 different ocations close by and breakfast in a Bagel and Beans cafe. Staff extremely helpful. Breakfast to a high standard. Locality in old town Nijmegen superb. Parking a brisk walk away. A fascinating start to our 1500 mile trip.

De Prince in Nijmegen is an excellent choice for B&B. The main address given on the website doesn't take into account the several nearby properties included in the B&B constellation. Never mind - it was very nice & clean, with breakfast (fresh orange juice & fruit, bagels, great coffee) at 'Bagels & Beans' next door to the main address. Highly recommended!

This is a really lovely B&B, with such charming little rooms, an extremely warm welcome and a really tasty breakfast (you've got to try hagelslag on toast!). The only slight thing to detract from the experience was that the room lacked air conditioning, so if you're lucky enough to be there in a heatwave, you have to open the windows and wait for the room to cool down before you can go to sleep. But all in all, it was a really wonderful place to stay and one that I highly recommend!

Attached to a bagel cafe, De Prince comprises five houses in the immediate vicinity done up as B+Bs. The room, for the price and very central location, is excellent, almost four-star luxury. The only problem is the logistic - you check in via busy staff in the bagel cafe, who barely have time to explain anything to you. Check out was worse, a real nightmare. The girl, seemingly inexperienced, was baking bagels while making coffee while fixing orange juice while putting things on trays while dealing with my check out, for which the credit card machine was not working and we had to move to the front of the cafe where it still did not work. I was in a hurry and so had to turn down breakfast - it would have just taken far too long. For any business traveller staying, it might be the same story. Beware, also, that it is a steep climb if you have a room at the top.

The advertised "picture" of the hotel was not where the room was. The room was located down the road in an alleyway via a door with a keypad entrance. The stairs were very steep especially up to the second floor. The room was very small but adequate; however could not get the room heater to work! The room did not have a table to work on. The building/room were clean, with the impression that the place has only just been renovated; the bathroom was small but had a shower washbasin etc and all looked new. Breakfast was in the restaurant as shown in the advertised picture and was OK. Overall impression; small rooms but adequate for a few nights stay.
