Nothing
The location on the Mekong River is wonderful. The pool is awesome. Congenial staff.
No complaints.
we love the view of Mekong River and Laos. Is very convenient to visit the Golden Triangle a s got boat trip to Laos. The hotel is very comfortable. good parking. Staff is very polite and helpful.
Nice pool and location was good
The fridge in the room needed to be replaced as previous guests had durian and it was very smelly. The staff were very prompt dealing with this. No hot water at all in the shower was disappointing.
Excellent, fantastic place , the room was big and the bed was amazing and the pillows were good . River view room looking at Loas , great to watch the sunrise. Staff are lovely and I didn’t realise that breakfast was included and that too was good , egg station , Thai food ,western food , pastries and fresh fruit . That was a great surprise. I think it’s a gem . Really enjoyed my stay . Thank you
Location is great, on the side of the Mekong
It’s a bit noisy, I would recommend to invest a bit in noise cancelling
Location was great, River view room was excellent. Pool was good. Staff was very good.
The evening dinner menu was very basic, and over-priced.
We had a fantastic stay here. The staff are really nice and friendly. The bed is comfy and huge and the views over Laos are incredible. Borrowing bikes and cycling round the old city walls and temples was a highlight . We also liked the chap who always helped us cross the road safely
Nothing. It was all good.
Propreté et espace
Un peu loin du centre
Great location right on the Mekong river. Just a short walk or tuk tuk ride into town. Room was a decent size. Bed very comfortable. Nice, friendly staff. Breakfast was okay.
Good location and clean. Breakfast fine.
WiFi didn’t work during the whole 2 day stay. AC in gym couldn’t be turned on (no remote to be found). Wooden frame work sticks out 20 cm on both sides of the bed so you bump your chins. Blanked on bed very thick and warm. Instant coffee only at breakfast.

Wow, what a great location on the bank of the mighty Mekong river, a very nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great swimming pool, big room with a shower and a bath, overall a great stay. Good breakfast. Good wifi.
Overall it was a great relaxing couple of days in a great hotel in an amazing location apart from a noisy and rowdy group of American tourists. It just took the edge off it being an amazing stay.
Everything's perfect, got upgraded, good price. Be back for sure!
Nice Place at the Mekong River
Great location on the river.
We had a very large double room with a balcony. The room had both a bath and a shower. The swimming pool was very nice and it overlooked the mekong and Laos . The breakfast was included and was varied and plentiful. We had dinner in the evening, which was good. The hotel has bicycles to use free of charge. There is also a snooker table in the lobby.
The pool has a few tiles missing, but it wasn't really a problem.
Excellent location on the river, river views from room were great. Large room with very comfortable bed and pillows. Balcony, shower were great. Breakfast had great variety, hotel lobby was huge with great seating and even a snooker table. Staff were just awesome, very professional, friendly and helpful.

Rooms are large, friendly staff, nice terrace
Very cold room, breakfast rather basic, location a bit away from restaurants, you need a bike or taxi
Siam Triangle hotel is located just by the mighty Mekong river, less than 10 min drive south of the Golden triangle town. Have in mind there's absolutely nothing to do in and around the hotel, nor in the town. They rent bicycles for free, so we went to a massage parlor 5 min away which was our outing that night, spending and hour and a half there having a very good and cheap massage. Hotel is little bit dated, but still in a good condition. We got the room overlooking Mekong which was nice to sit on the balcony in the evening sipping a drink, however with mosquitoes. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was OK with fresh prepared omelletes. They have a pool, but we didn't use it as we arrived pretty late and left early in the morning. Look for no other, I think this is the best in area and you'll spend only a night there anyway as there's nothing much to do in Golden Triangle.
Rooms were on the road side. River side is much quieter. There is road noise at night.
Great location at Mekong river
A strange and soulless place but possibly the best available in the area. We stayed just one night on a private tour of northern Thailand and were pleased that it was just that. The hotel has a huge ground floor area with an atrium that has the bedrooms arranged looking down on the void and a small reception desk squeezed into one corner behind some incongruously parked pushbikes to rent. The receptionist was welcoming and spoke some English and a porter took our bags up to the room. Our impressions of the room were positive, spacious and comfortable with storage facilities, a fridge and kettle. There was also an air purifier which indicated that the air quality can be questionable. We had booked a superior room with a view of the river from the balcony that was large enough to sit out on. The bathroom arrangement was bizarre in the extreme. Glass door onto a bathtub and basin then a further glass door onto the toilet and shower. The water temperature and pressure were good but the curious arrangement meant that the toilet was sprayed from the shower and the floor remained wet for future visits to the toilet. The hotel is situated in a really good location on the banks of the Mekong overlooking Laos but is located a long way from the town and the Golden Triangle view point. We decided to have a drink on the slab of concrete that passes for a terrace. So much more could be made of this setting. A lone waiter served cold drinks from a retail chiller; beer, water or soft drinks. A swim was out of the question as there were leaves in the pool and the water wasn’t clear. As there was nothing within walking distance and we’d spent all day on the road we decided to eat in the hotel’s deserted dining room which was laid out like a school canteen. The limited menu was served until 8pm so hard luck for those checking in late. The food was actually quite good and the waiter was pleasant but it was not a place to linger. On investigation, we discovered a sign suggesting that once there had been a bar but this area is now an untidy storage space. We slept well once the noise of newly arrived groups, which carried up from the ground floor, had subsided but were awoken at 6.00, again by voices. We went for an early breakfast only to find that it was mediocre. Chemical tasting fruit drinks, a barely functioning coffee machine, no means of making tea and the jug on the hot plate was unpleasant Chinese tea. There were some hot Asian dishes but the western fare consisted of cooked ham or tinned hotdog sausages floating in water, sliced bread that could be lightly toasted in the catering sized toaster while the young man tasked with manning the egg station was sullen. It was altogether the least appealing breakfast offering throughout our travels in Thailand. To add insult to injury, we were not allowed to check out before the housekeeping staff had checked that we hadn’t trashed the room or stolen the fittings. In short, this seemed to be a halfhearted attempt at hospitality and the hotel would benefit from being taken over by a company with customer service expertise.
Room was clean and spacious. Very good breakfast with many options with the view on Mekong River.
The hotel is situated a little bit outside of Chian Saen (15 walk) close to the main road so cars drive a little bit faster and you can hear all vehicles passing by. Avoid street front rooms to sleep at night.
Clean rooms, very pleasant staff
No restaurant, no bar and there is no place to have a meal in town apart from market Thai food. We left a day early as we realy disliked liked it. Ideal for people that want a real Thai experience
View was amazing, room was beautiful
Thank you for a wonderful peaceful stay. The staff were great! Everyone from the front desk, breakfast and housekeeping. I loved the balcony view of the Makong River! Very relaxing to watch the boats on the river.

The photos looked a lot better than what it was. Very run down and the pool was really dirty when we arrived and wanted a swim. Room was clean but things were very old. Lovely view of the river where you can enjoy the sunrise come up. They had an air filter in the room, great air conditioner and a large smart tv which was great. Good WiFi. You get what you pay for with this hotel. Ok for a night.
It's on a main road and it's very noisy all day and night
This hotel has everything - fantastic location on the banks of the Mekong River, good well designed airy building, swimming pool, great views from nice dining room and terrace, great breakfast, lovely kind staff, comfortable bed room and everything sparkling clean.
Small-scale maintenance is needed throughout before it’s too late. Especially the beautiful pool needs attention, and broken tiles mean people swimming might cut themselves.
We enjoyed are stay here. Especially watching the boats running up and down the Mekong River. Chiang Saen has great shopping and traditional Thai food to take advantage of. Our room was very functional and spot on. The staff were very friendly and responsive! We saw a lot of tour groups using this Hotel, which is a good thing.
Quite good location
The room opened to the street, was very loud, the hotel needs quite some renovation and noise cancelation
The staff … exceptionally professional, helpful, polite, and accommodating.
No dinner available during the week.
Easy Check In, Nice rooms, very sieht air condition Breakfast from eggs to fruits, everything available
Pool was not clean, that was very bad for me. Tour buses stop for nreakfast , too many people for me
Brilliant location overlooking the Mekong River and Laos
Disappointing - expectations were high based on reviews. For the price it was overpriced. Bed was fine and clean. Property was tired.
Absolutely solid stay here for 1 night on a road trip - a good hotel, well appointed but do pay for the bigger rooms with the view over the river! Location - super easy to access the boarder and key local attractions if you have your own wheels or organised transport. Hotel - large, in good condition overall with big loddy including snooker table, table football, pond, and free coffee on demand. Sited right on the Mekong with views to Laos. Room - large, well appointed and a comfy bed. Nice to have a bath (and plenty of hot water on demand to fill it!) Plus view from the balcony. Could have easily have stayed here longer. Do note that the rooms are not well soundproofed but this seems to come from the old ventilation ducts (new AC units fitted) as such even being at the back of the hotel we could hear the road noise (would not have wanted to be at the front of the hotel!) ... we were top floor so may have been worse due to no floor above. Pool - large outdoor pool with views directly to the Mekong Breakfast - good selection of Thai and some basic European. Parking - out front diagonal to the road. Not quite deep enough so the cars sit out into the bike lane a bit. About space for 15 vehicles only ... however most guests seemed to arrive by taxi or bus so only 3 cars in total during our stay. Overall the best place to stay in the triangle area for the price and would very happily stay again!
Everything was so good
Staff were great, friendly and very helpful. Location was a short drive to most places. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Northern Thai style breakfast included (which we skipped for sleep). Water and coffee station near the lobby is available 24hr. Overall it was an enjoyable stay!
The wifi system that logs you out every session was annoying. The 2sqm bathroom had the shower and the toilet bowl facing each other on the same even floor so water gets everywhere. They offered to attach curtain for us, but we passed for personal (hygienic) reasons.
