The Ashtan Sarovar Portico

This hotel was a very peaceful and comfortable place to stay for 4 nights. I was very happy to return to my room each evening after being out for the day. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurant was also very good. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall our stay at The Ashtan Sarovar Portico, New Delhi was very comfortable. There was plenty of Vegetarian options at Breakfast. Staff at the Breakfast restaurant was very courteous and helpful. Special mention for Mr. Rohit, Mr. Deepak and Mr. Heera for making our stay memorable by their polite behaviour and prompt services. We also used their in-house taxi service, driver Mr. Negi was also excellent and very courteous.

The food, housekeeping and overall behavior of the staff was extremely good. Every query and need was answered

The location is at the center of New Delhi and next to Green Park metro station ngate no.3. The housekeeping staff especially Ismail and Mohan responded to every need. The food was also excellent

The housekeeper Ismail did an excellent job. Everything was spotless, well-organized, and done with great attention to detail. Very professional housekeeper.

Location wise this hotel is in prime area of Green Park, walkable to the metro station and loads of shops and eateries nearby to try delhi food. Hotel is next to busy street but the inside atmosphere is very calm and peaceful. You will hardly hear a noise from outside. Rooms are very neat and cleaned on daily basis. I must say thank you specifically to Mr.Mohan Pratihari, who took real good care of me during the stay. Amenities are as per the needs, breakfast is really good. Place is very safe and secure and indeed value for the money.

Visited on 19th February 2025 as a paying customer (had coffee and lunch) at The Ashtan Sarovar Portico, Green Park Extension, New Delhi, while waiting for a colleague attending a workshop at the property. The experience was deeply disappointing. First, the reception refused to keep my small suitcase despite me being a customer at their restaurant. When they eventually agreed, the attitude was unwelcoming and dismissive — as if I were an inconvenience rather than a guest. The restaurant staff were no better. Despite having already spent on food and beverages, I was made to feel like an unwanted intruder. When I asked for the menu, I was told in a condescending manner what I could and couldn't order. Basic courtesy was absent throughout. What was equally disturbing was witnessing the restaurant's senior managing staff openly berating and speaking poorly to their own team members in front of customer. This says a lot about the culture of this establishment — when leadership behaves this way, it is no surprise that the staff follows suit. I had no particular interest in visiting this property — I came solely because a colleague was attending a workshop there and we needed to travel together afterward. A hotel of this standing should know that hospitality begins with how you treat people — whether it's customers or your own employees. Paying customers deserve basic dignity and respect. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

The location is a bit noisy, and the entrance is difficult to locate. However, the hotel and staff are excellent. I ordered a club sandwich to my room. It was excellent and worth the money. The complimentary breakfast was also very good. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

They are very good in every aspect Receptionists knew local tourism and other areas Food is exceptionally good. The restaurant buffet and a la carte, as well as room service food is amazing Staff is polite Rooms are clean, hygienic, fresh and not defective in any way.

I picked south indian items at the breakfast. Just passable.
