Eine schöne und saubere Unterkunft. Sehr nettes Personal. Wir sind nachts am Flughafen in Delhi angekommen und wurden ganz unkompliziert vom Fahrer des Hotels abgeholt. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und auch als westlicher Tourist muss man keine bedenken haben. Alles ist sehr sauer und hygienisch.

Le petit déjeuner est servi lentement et n’est pas du tout indien, mais c’est le cas de toutes les guest House pour touristes. Si on le sait, ce n’est pas un probleme. C’est propre et assez bon.

This was my second stay here, and once again, I had a pleasant experience. The property is in a peaceful and environment-friendly location in Defence Colony, with Lajpat Nagar and Defence Market nearby. The metro station is also conveniently accessible, which makes getting around quite easy. The overall stay was comfortable, and everything was well managed

The only area I would suggest improving is the breakfast, as the food options are somewhat limited. Apart from that, everything was good, and I would be happy to visit again.

We had a fantastic stay. Everything exceeded our expectations. We can only recommend this hotel.

We arrived late in the evening and the staff greeted us warmly, showing us to our room. They then offered us a cup of tea and banana bread that was very welcomed. The room was super clean and modern. Breakfast was delicious with home made Indian food or a choice of western food. We wanted to stay a second night but they were booked out. Will come back another time.

I arrived early from the airport and was welcomed with delicious breakfast and chai. Dining and lounge area are tastefully decorated, and a great place to meet other travellers. Love the colonial architecture and style. Quiet location, within walking distance to metro. My room was spotless, cool and comfortable, a real haven from the monsoon weather and madness of Delhi.

The wifi access was limited and the AC was not as cold.

Well maintained and clean, well decorated and having the lounge room is an extra bonus, a lovely space to relax in. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious and well equipped. Staff are very hospitable and friendly, always going out of their way to make sure you have what you need. The food is excellent value for money, generous portions and tastes delicious.

Shower temperature was not steady I ordered a taxi to take me to the airport. Driver was punctual and drove well but there were no seat belts in the back of the car which I expected to have

Très bon hôtel au calme et pas loin des sites à visiter du sud de Delhi ! Très propre avec chambre confortable.

Such a lovely accommodation! A real retreat after the heat and noise of Delhi. As we are a family of five, we booked two rooms. They were beautiful, spacious, quiet and luxurious, with a sitting room outside the rooms where we could relax. The staff were extremely friendly, and the breakfast was amazing. The perfect place to stay in Delhi!

Everything was superb.

The personel at colonel's retreat were very welcoming. They made our stay easy with regards to breakfast and lunch. they also were able to let us in at 4 am in the morining for the check in which was very nice. the watchman was always smiling and welcoming.

the bathroom taps could be improved especially the shower, its not easy to control the flow of water which leads to water wastage.

スタッフの方がたくさんいて、皆さんとても親切です。大きな荷物を持っていたので、タクシーへの運び出しなど快く手伝ってくれました。お部屋は清潔、バスルームは広くて使いやすいです（ただシャワーブースから水は多少漏れます）。朝食も好きなメニューを選べて良かったです。

上の部屋の音が結構響きました。特に滞在2日目は朝から工事をしており、その音が気になりました。2時間ほどでやみましたが、午前中に客室のすぐ上の部屋で工事をするのは避けてほしいなと思います。

Location was great, about 30 minute ride from airport. Around 10-minute walk to nearest Metro station and 20 minutes to restaurant and shops. The hotel is in a gated community, very safe and quiet neighbourhood. Rooms were very clean and good in size, bed very comfortable. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Nice breakfast provided. We booked for 3 nights and planned to move to a hotel near the airport the night before our flight but because we liked the place we decided to stay and book another night.

The rooms were spacious and well lit. The bathroom had new fittings, was clean and had everything I needed during the stay. Extra points for having a comfy bed along with a pillow menu. The staff took measures to ensure I was comfortable and helped me out.

Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder. Das Zimmer war gut, Platz genug und die Nähe zur Metro hervorragend. Der Abholservice vom Flughafen ist teurer als normal, aber zuverlässig und gut. Das Quartier mit dem Teestand am Tor zur Hauptstrasse identisch und doch scheint es nicht in Delhi zu sein. Das Personal sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir lieben das Frühstück und die Aufmerksamkeit, leckeres Bananabread.

Çalışanlar çok güleryüzlü ve yardımseverdi. Odayı temizlemek için sordular evet dedik. Birşey istediğimiz zaman hemen yardımcı olmaya çalıştılar.Kahvaltisi gayet iyi idi ve çeşitliydi.

Without prior notice, I was put up in a different building than the main building, in what essentially a large apartment. It is located down the street, but if it rains for example, making it to breakfast would be less pleasant. The kitchen needed a cleaning which was promptly done when I asked for it. Otherwise the place is less charming, but totally fine.

Breakfast was good, hot and tasty. Devinder was prompt and excellent in service. Manager was always available. He will order transport for us on Uber. We would get piping hot toasts for breakfast. Nice.

Great value for money. Hospitality and location outstanding. WiFi in the rooms were not great but fortunately in the common areas plenty of space to sit and attend meetings. Bed was little short but comfortable.

Very clean. The breakfast didn’t had a lot of variety but the rest of things were very good.

Molto accogliente, senso di essere a casa, letto molto comodo, bagno luminoso, curato, molto pulito, colazione molto buona ed abbondante, e personale altamente professionale, gentile ed attento alle esigenze del cliente. Ci sono stato altre volte e torno sempre molto volentieri.

Le quartier très calme, appréciable après la journée dans le bruit et la foule. Le petit déjeuner sur le roof top, très agréable. Les bars et restaurants à proximité. La chambre comfortable, la literie excellente. Nous étions en groupe et avons occupé deux étages juste pour nous. Le salon sur le palier entre les chambres est un chouette endroit de détente ou nous nous réunissions "comme à la maison". Nous y avons passé 5 nuits et nous sommes sentis vraiment à l'aise. Le personnel est adorable, serviable et discret.

Das Hotel war ein toller Einstieg in die Indien Reise. Alle Mitarbeiter sind extrem freundlich. Unser Zimmer war groß und sauber. Das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse mit Streifenhörnchen und Affen ist super.

It was nice to stay in Colonel retreat again, it is not the first and definitely not the last time. Highly recommended!

Lovely, clean and quiet location. Welcoming staff everywhere. Food was superb. Fresh, interesting breakfasts and fabulous food at night on the rooftop with attentive staff. I’ll definitely return when I come to Delhi next year.

Kettle handle got dangerously hot, but I did notify them of problem.

Dinner was INCREDIBLE. BEST MEAL I HAD WHILE IN INDIA! The staff was truly exceptional in attention and kindness. My only complaint was that the rooms were small and the shower, while hot and exceptionally beautiful, the water spills all over the floor. But these are minor and in general I absolutely recommend this place.

La chambre manquait cruellement d'un peu de décoration, et faisait vraiment vide et dénuée de charme pour le prix que nous avons payé (rajouter juste un ou deux tableaux sur les murs et le tour serait joué!). Le petit dej dans un autre bâtiment à 50m (pas loin mais peu pratique). Le quartier sécurisé a pour désavantage d'avoir presque toutes les portes fermées le soir. Hôtel sous la trajectoire des avions qui atterrissent à l'aéroport, relativement bruyant malgré le calme du quartier.

The room was large. The hotel was close to a metro station.

We felt that we didn't stay in the hotel we booked and were placed in an overflow building across the road. The room we were given did not resemble the photos on Booking.com e.g. there were no pictures on the wall, it had generic and corporate looking hotel furnishings and no personnel or security on site. The complimentary water bottles were half empty. High tea was pretty pathetic with a few biscuits and a virtually finished cake. As we were leaving early, we were given a packed up breakfast which was a token effort with a pathetic cheese sandwich, a few scraps of banana bread and a carton of juice. Bearing in mind that this the most expensive hotel we stayed in over our month long tour of India, it was also the most lacking in service, character and value.

A very good and safe choice for Delhi. We arrived very late night and there was someone to wait, and guided us to our room, clean and comfortable. Next morning we woke up late but they offered a delicious breakfast. The neighbourhood is very safe and calm, perfect for a quiet sleep. You can easily move with Uber or tuk tuk to all attractions. Delhi is huge, so where ever you stay you have to move by car, or metro, which is very convenient. Everyone was very polite and helpful, like everyone in this beautiful country.

Charming hotel with friendly and efficient staff. A beautiful roof terrace bedecked with flowers where you could enjoy delicious home cooked meals and breakfast while listening to birdsong. What a lovely welcome to India!

Wonderful and stylish boutique hotel in a quiet area of Delhi. Loved the roof top restaurant that was perfect for leisurely breakfasts and dinners. We needed to increase our stay to 5 nights due to an accident and the staff and owners were extremely kind and accommodating. When departing we decided to take a quick overnight trip to Agra and the staff arranged Deveshtourtravels to pick us up an hour later. Our very safe and reliable driver made this a stress free 24 hours. I really can’t speak highly enough of Colonel’s Retreat and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in Delhi.

The room was big, aesthetically pleasing, and well appinted with plenty of storage space to unpack. The HVAC was solid. The bed was really good. The bath area was convenient and worked very well. The place sits on a quiet tree-lined street. A nice find, we would definitely stay there again.

The terrace restaurant was nice but it is bad form to not put prices on the menu. We experienced some confusion: we were asked at 6:00 ( end of "high tea") if we wanted dinner, and we ordered a small snack, but somehow did not know that dinner would not happen until 7:00.

The best banana bread ever! Everything was fantastic. the location was quiet and accessible, the staff were very kind and attentive, the breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were very comfortable. My only regret was not having time to try the dinner! I would definitely stay there again.

Good location in a quiet residential area of New Delhi. Felt safe walking to local market and local restaurants. Owners gave very good recommendations for where to eat and how to get around. Our room was right next to the reception area which was a little noisy at times.
