Great Location

We were greeted by Lisa. She was a wonderful, friendly lady and very helpful. The place was spotless. The pool was great, and the hot tub was so relaxing. I came for a girls' weekend away. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect break. Thank you, too, all the friendly staff. You were fantastic!

The revamp of the park is just fabulous, the family had such a wonderful time making beautiful forever memories

Enjoyed our entire stay so have nothing that I didnt like.

Clean and tidy, especially the premium villa 👌 just missing a dryer to complete the house😊

Woken up concrete workers at 6am, mouse poo on fold out bed with mattress having stains as sheet was not clean, was not pre warned at all about the labourers my car ended up with dried concrete/dust on it.

Facilities are very good, love the pool area, kids rated the flying fox

The playground was extremely muddy and could do with a bit of an improvement.

Since our last stay here, there has been so much done here with regards to upgrades 😁 and improvements so friendly absolutely awesome 💯

So many activities/things to do was so great for our group of 10, courtesy van to the pub was amazing

Was disappointed both entrances to pool wasn’t open - one is now staff only. But -2 is a long walk in the cold. But my partner had had a stroke so unable to walk far - I drove him to other entry so we managed

Being so close to the hot pool

Not enough blankets on the bed. I don't like sleeping with the heat pump on.

Wonderful facilities, kids had a blast as a holiday park they had so much to do !

Staff were under pressure as I can imagine it was so busy for winter they had a lot to do with it being fully booked

I liked everything,if we knew that they warm duvets we wouldn’t have packed ours.

The fact that the bicycles were locked and we couldn’t hire.

Pool is good but would be better if kids could put their heads under like you can at Lake Taupo Holiday resort. Loved the food and drink caravans, great idea to get coffee, ice creams and dinner. Signage and night lighting is great. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Kids liked the bike track. There is plenty of activities but note my comments below re at peak times. Loved the texts whilst there to let you know when things were open, eg coffee cart, ice cream caravan etc. The camp put on a free sausage sizzle which was well received and a nice NZ family park thing to do. Overall this is a great park to go too and has been upgraded a lot recently.

The queues for the pickle ball which was the highlight of what my kids wanted to do was a mission to get to use. There needs to be some form of queue system as little kids try and jump the queue and sometimes people have been waiting for an hour to get on. Probably needs to be more pickle ball courts, ideally 2 to 3 would be good as people come to this holiday park for families to do activities but its incredibly hard to get to do the activities. Too many people on a public holiday weekend to get onto activities. Kids were disappointed the peddle carts weren't going but understand now they aren't available in winter. The 2 bedroom unit we stayed in the deck never saw sun so I wouldn't stay in those again and the bunk beds were very narrow. With the camp growing accommodation wise, the activity options and availability also needs to keep pace as massive queues to get on things doesn't make for a good time for families. Even a bigger BMX track etc but ideally another pickeball court or two as this is the most popular activity. Perhaps beside the current one and move the ping pong table and petanque to the grass area.

Cant pick one thing that stood out as it was all fabulous! Pizza oven was a hit. Pool was perfectly relaxing and hot. All of the good things.

Bed was uncomfortable

Easy to navigate, found our cabin straight away. The natural hot springs were beautiful and rejuvenating. The whole atmosphere of the property was calming and refreshing I wish we could have stayed longer

That we couldn’t stay longer

Accommodation was execellent. We are coming back in 3 weeks so cancelled our lodge room and upgraded to a villa! Pool is great and it's super safe for the kids to have some freedom to roam!

Our room did smell a bit like wet dog when we first arrived but once we turned on the heating it went. The coffee lady sounds like she needs a hug..

Fantastic family fun! The new renovations on pool are fantastic, it now looks like a 5 star resort! New cedar hot tubs are great too. Staff are all so friendly and accomodating, even down to the caretakers. We had a bout of bad weather when we stayed, but that didn’t stop us enjoying all the activities on offer, caretakers up earlier cleaning up and pool gets cleaned each day. We will be back

Lovely complex with mineral pool. Lot's of activities if you are travelling with children. Pool excludes children from 8 p.m -10 p.m, which is nice for a relaxing soak in the evening. The Kaiaua Pub shuttle will pick up and drop off if you don't feel like cooking!

Bed was quite hard, with very thin pillows (no extra provided). Cost of room for one night was extremely pricey for a standard motel room, much better value for money if you stay for 2 or more nights.

The pool was great and the room relatively quiet

The room had a damp smell when I arrived The heat pump remedied this after a few hours

Plenty of space on our 1bedrm motel. The spa bath was a hit for us when there were too many people at the pool. Enjoyed the private spa too and the park itself is huge and lots of activities for the kids to enjoy. Food truck has good coffee and also offers evening menu.

There were ants in our motel but not a big deal as there is insect spray provided.

Everything to like about this property. Excellent place to have families relaxing plenty to do for younger people.

Great up grade of the pool love coming here only 1 hr out of Auckland

The staff were very accommodating even though they had us change rooms due to it not being cleaned from previous people. But all set right and gave us a different clean room, place was clean and everything was close together

Didnt like that the kitchen was not stocked with shared utensils and other stuff, so had to ask if they had plates and cutlery as nowhere on the website says bring own crockery, they had bamboo plates and cutlery but we had to use 2 baby forks to bbq with. So changing that would be nice or updating website

Lodge rooms were really cramped and stuffy to have 5 people in them

Great staff, everything was soptlesly clean and the attention to detail around the grounds was amazing

It was very clean, new, and modern.

I’m on the taller side, which meant the standard 1.8m beds aren’t the best. I would’ve preferred the option of thinner pillows.

Fantastic trip. So much for kids to do. Pool is fab. Very clean, well maintained and organized

Lots of activities for little kids! Loved that pool became adults only after 8pm.

Confused about hot tubs - could not book for evenings? False nail found in bed, remote control under bed, some utensils not clean. 🫣. Premium villa was amazing but still thought slightly over priced.

Didn’t like that the room was a big family home with only 1 shared bathroom/toilet and no pantry space for a big family to store food.

No TV in the room. No table or chairs in the room. Dreadful room facilities.

The facility is very well maintained. There arw loads of activities for the kids and the hot pool made for a relaxing weekend.

Comfy beds, spacious, relaxing hot tubs, private units, awesome staff.

Fantastic place for kids to play, very safe all round and great pool.

The play ground area requires investment and the holidays unit we stayed in (53) was very dirty. The ceiling fans had thick layer of dust which spread around the unit when we turned them on. The carpet was heavily stained and our children got bug bites, suspect as they were playing on the carpet.

So helpful when I didn’t realise I’d booked a room that didn’t suit our needs. We were able to transfer to a room that was perfect. Pool was very clean and so relaxing. Everyone respected each other and spoke quietly

When we filled the spa bath there were little bits coming out of the jets into the water. The main bedroom ceiling lights weren’t working. They were minor issues and didn’t affect our enjoyment of the room
