L'emplacement est top depuis la suite cheftain avec une vue imprenable sur le port. Le choix du petit-déjeuner est vraiment un plus. Très bon accueil. Je vous conseille Tarbert

Location is perfect. Room is lovely. Even got the fire lit. Breakfast was excellent and delivered exactly when requested.

The property was centrally located and the junior suite was very comfortable. Good value for money.

The location is slightly hidden being upper floors between two shops. Whilst understand the remote booking in makes it easier in some aspects it’s a little strange.

The luxurious suite. Plus, in addition to the usual tea, coffee and biscuits we also had a small bottle each of red and white wine and a chunk of Cheddar with oatcakes.

The breakfast was delivered to our room which was very nice but it meant that the bacon was starting to get cold while we had our cereal. This is unavoidable as there is no dining room. But it was nonetheless enjoyable.

On the main st but quiet

Duvet was a feather duvet and as someone with allergies would have preferred synthetic. Had l been staying for more than one night l would have requested a replacement.

Das Frühstück war gut auch wenn die Art und Weise (am Zimmer) etwas ungewöhnlich ist. Das Zimmer war sauber. Die Lage ist sehr gut. Öffentliche, kostenlose Parkplätze am Pier ausreichend vorhanden.

Clean comfortable a great value

The location was perfect on the harbour, we had looked at other nearby properties and were so pleased that we chose Knap Guest House. There was on street parking close by. Although there are reviews against having breakfast in your room, we liked having this being delivered and taking our time enjoying the view. Great to have a fridge in the room, this doesn't happen very often and was much appreciated.

It is a long way up to the second floor for those with mobility issues.

It was clean it was quiet. Breakfast was good and on time. I loved it had a fridge.

All very clean and easy to access the property. Small touches like cheese and wine on arrival, plenty of homely touches in a very good sized room. Would have loved to stay longer

Booked the Knapp mainly for the price. Booked a twin room with a friend whilst on a motorcycle trip. At the end of the day I just wanted a decent bed, shower & breakfast in the morning. I was hopeful that the photos did it justice. Upon arrival, the check in process was slick and upon opening the front door, seeing the decor and the tartan carpet up the sweeping stairs, we both thought this looks great. On entering the room, it was presented very nicely, clean and with a reasonably sized en suite. The shower was clean, worked well with plentiful hot water. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast, served in the room was great and the whole system worked well for us. Able to park bikes on harbour front over the road and able to keep an eye on them. Would happily stay at the Knapp again and recommend it.

Beautiful view of the harbor from the beautiful room. The bed was very comfortable and they had nice snacks for when you arrived.

It would be nice if breakfast included a plain yogurt choice and some fruit such as a banana or apple.

Une guest house en plein centre de Tarbert, très confortable, tenue par un ancien marin qui a longuement vécu et travaillé en Thaïlande, d'où la décoration unique, mélange d'esthétique britannique impériale, écossaise et asiatique. Très propre, avec le petit-déjeuner servi à la porte par l'hôte selon les préférences indiquées la veille avant 20 heures. Idéalement situé près d'une coop, de très bons restaurants (dont le fabuleux Red Herring) et non loin du port d'embarquement pour Islay (Kennacraig).

RAS, sinon que nous aurions dû rester deux nuits au lieu d'une pour mieux profiter de la salle de réception ouverte aux hôtes et de l'atmosphère du port.

This does not represent the property at all. It’s primarily shops with small rooms above.

No interaction with owners operators. Strange jungle art dominated. Incongruous with Scotland. As guests we felt completely insignificant and of no value. This is just a source of income with minimal effort. Breakfast was very sad. Inedible super cheap products. Cannot recommend.

Loved the hand delivered breakfast. It was delicious.

The property was very clean and was very central. Lots of lovely interesting wall displays and ornaments. The breakfast was lovely and everything was very well organised. Just a really lovely place to stay.

Comfortable place to stay, access is given remotely, and breakfast left outside room at requested time, so never actually met a soul. Good location, busy road but easy parking and double-glazed windows kept the noise down.

Breakfast was fine but could have done with a bit of nice bread or fruit. Unusual decor around the place with artifacts and replicas from Africa and Asia, as well as the obligatory stag's head.

Beautiful little B&B, right in the core of this pretty little fishing town. The room was clean, warm and comfortable, with a quiet charm.

It was in the heart of Tarbert. Room was big. Breakfast was prompt and could order exact amounts of what we wanted. The coffee was French pressed! So good!

Picture of outside building is big. Entrance is small. Building is right on the corner - across street from Co-Op. Odd breakfast nook to eat….but good view.

The guest house is beautifully decorated and the room was very comfortable. We had a beautiful view of the harbour too. Alan was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and hot, delivered on a tray to the room. The local amenities were fabulous and the location is ideal for the Kennacraig ferry terminal.

We stayed for just one night and everything was fine. As we left very early in the morning we've had no breakfast so that we can't say anything about it.

It was ideal for catching the ferry to Islay next morning. Room was well equipped and the bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was good but didn't like it served in our room.

Didn't like the breakfast being served in the room as it was a bit cramped. The guest house is on the main road. We were in room 4 and lorries going for the ferry woke us at 5am. I suppose this can't be helped and it's not the fault of the guest house but if you're a light sleeper it's not ideal.

3rd year in a row we’ve stayed at Knap. It’s ideal for what we need, comfy bed, spotlessly clean, good shower oh yes and a fridge to keep drinks cool. Ideally located for the local amenities and to catch ferry to Portavaddie and the islands.

Staff were very attentive and kind. It was a nice touch to have the breakfast service. Beds were comfortable and facilities good. Check in was easy too.

If the breakfast service could have been a little later that would have been perfect.

Very abrupt “welcome” as we arrived on e-bikes in the rain. “You can’t leave those here”. Asked to move them, apparently as per an email …..that we had not received. Space to leave them was to rear of property in covered area. Breakfast provided was not as ordered. One solitary dry piece of toast without the requested butter or jam.

チェックインはできたけど、スタッフと全く顔をあわせることが出来ないシステムは不安です。部屋は狭くて古くてあまり寛げなかった。冷蔵庫に飲みかけの牛乳が入っていたのは気持ちいいものではありません。

Everything was so clean and tidy. Allan has really put in a lot of thought into making your stay comfortable from bathrobes to breakfast. I wish we had stayed more than one night. His broiler went down and he put heaters in our rooms to keep us comfortable. We were wary when he told us but the heaters were so good we had to cut them off as we got so toasty! There is not one bad thing we can say. Just for fyi there is not lift up to the rooms so make sure you can get up the stairs with your luggage. This wasn’t any trouble for us at all.

Great place great location

Very comfortable and loved the breakfast each morning which was brought to our room. We arrived late in the evening and the communication for check in was very clear and no issues at all.

Breakfast was excellent.lovely room with view of the harbour,only drawback it was on main road which was very busy with hgv traffic .

Every thing was really good apart from the traffic Really enjoyed our time .Everyone we met was very friendly.
