A true hidden gem, we will definitely visit again. The fishing was great, grounds and dams well maintained. The owners were very accommodating, the units clean and it had everything we required.

Beautiful location with amazing fishing, hiking trails, and birdlife. So peaceful and friendly staff. A great break away from city life.

We stayed in the old farm mill house that’s turned into a hotel room. Great idea but the noise of the water crashing took some time to get used to. There’s also a giant window at the top that doesn’t have a curtain so room isn’t dark when trying to sleep. You also have to keep the shutters closed as everyone fishing can see into your room.

The tented chalets were lovely and cozy. Over looking the bass dam, the views are beautiful. The farm is quite remote, very quiet and private.

Serene location and beautifully kept farm with lots to do for the kids and adults. The fishing dams are pristine and we had some great fly fishing and caught some very healthy and good fish! Good roads for the kids to ride their mountain bikes on and fun hiking up the mountain. For the bird watchers there were plenty of unique birds to see too. Santie and Pieter have done some amazing things and the Country House was a brilliant pick for our families to enjoy some good downtime and good laughs around the fire inside the house and outside. We will be back in no time again and can’t wait.

Only thing missing wash a braai meet pan otherwise all was a fantastic stay. we had a issue with the pillows to hard and high they made a plan and accommodated a more comfortable pillow.

This provides a beautiful escape for a few days into the quiet of nature away from the incessant noise of modern life. I did not go there to fish but really enjoyed the peace and quiet. The chalet that I stayed in had everything that you might need for a few days away from home, the bed was very comfortable and the shower/bath facilities were very good. Excellent hosts who were super helpful.

There was nothing that I didn't like but just to note that while the Booking.com entry specifies free wifi - this is mainly available at the reception area, which may be a kilometer + from where you are staying depending on the accommodation option chosen so if this is important to you, check beforehand. In addition, it is not clearly specified (that I could see) on Booking.com that the road there is rough and that a 4x4 vehicle is recommended although the property owners do alert you as soon as possible.

I had such a lovely stay here this past weekend! 🌿 Everything was peaceful, clean, and so well taken care of. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and recharge. The attention to detail really stood out, and it felt like every little thing was thoughtfully prepared. My husband and I truly enjoyed out time and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, refreshing and rustic getaway. There’s no reception here only at reception which was very much we needed. Away from work and reality. Just to unwind Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back! ✨

Valley of the Rainbow Fly Fishing Estate offers idyllic views, relaxing activities, and a true sense of peace and tranquillity; the peace and quiet truly make it a memorable experience, and as city slickers we especially appreciated the rare chance to disconnect from an always-connected life.

There is very little not to like, as it delivered exactly what I expected and more; however, if you are looking for hustle and bustle, this is not the place for you.

Very peaceful and pretty. Had everything we needed Nice hiking trail and dams. Accommodation was clean and well equipped.

The shower head and kitchen tap weren't the greatest. Leaking out of the taps

There wasnt anything we didnt like. Just very small items that the kitchen couldve done with, like bread board and frying pan.

If you are looking for a place to unwind - this is it! We really enjoyed the stay, and the views were exquisite. We will definitely visit again, and this time I will bring my fishing rods!

Loved the area, very secluded and very peaceful. The mill room had everything you needed. Such a unique room and an amazing BIG tub makes for a great bubble bath. Thanks to the lady who gave my husband aome bubble bath for me :) . Had all the necessary items for a self catering unit as well as fire wood. Had a lot of fun getting there from Dullstroom with our 4x4.

Its a location that we will come back again, nice and quiet. Was able to do Fly Fishing for the very 1st time and loved it so so much. Got some rods for us to do it more often

Though the place is specially for fly fishing, I visited with my son to relax and not for fishing. Beautiful location, all the dams are clean, the tents were clean and well kept. We had a great time!

The place is ultimate zen and gorgeous

It was quiet and so peaceful. The views were amazing and the only thing that you could hear was nature! We stayed in the honeymoon tent and it is beautiful and big. The bed was comfy and the bathroom nice and spacious. We loved the kitchen on the deck and had a lovely braai right there on the deck overlooking the bass dam. It is off the beaten track but so worth it!! Will visit again, a bit longer next time.

Fantastic place. Loved every second there.

The cottage is comfortable, well appointed and has beautiful views of the mountain. There is a private garden outside of the cottage. There are hiking trails and stunning dams on the property.

The deck is smaller than the camping tent deck, on which you are able to braai.

Our host was so welcoming and made sure that we are treated with respect and dignity. She took it upon herself to make sure that our stay was very comfortable. The place is so very beautiful, neat and safe. I enjoyed the hiking, just watching the people fishing,, and walking around the beautiful pools. Sitting on the balcony, watching the moon rise and the beauty of the water that came with the movement of the moon.

Great place to relax, a freshwater fisherman's paradice, we caught fish (trout and bass) every day on 2 of the 3 dams we fished. Bass fishing was very good.

What an amazing place ! So peaceful and surrounded by nature. We went fly fishing and it was such a great experience. The owners and their son was so helpful and friendly.

We stayed in one of the tents as 2 kids and one adult. The beds were clean and there was great hot water. There is a braai on the veranda for a charcoal braai. I liked that I could watch the kids while they fished and they had rods to rent. Beautiful location. Direct route to Dullstroom is a gravel track that requires a 4x4.
