Spacious comfortable suites, thoughtful touches and everything you need. Very clean. Short safe walk to restaurants and attractions. Good communication. Highly recommend for Dullstroom.

Good location just off the busy street. Spacious bedroom and bathroom in the room we booked.

Not the most accessible room (only stairs to get up). Could do with some cutlery in the room for takeaway days.

The rooms are large and all have bathrooms. The kitchen is fantastic. Fireplaces in most rooms, including the kitchen. Parking on site - and Zandile the host who met us was lovely.

The house is old - not everything is perfect, if that is what you are looking for. Very comfortable however.

Very neat and beautifully decorated. Loved the proximity to the dam and walking distance from a restaurant.

Too little coffee... there are coffee pods supplied, but it does not make a full mug, so we were left wanting, especially as it was cold and the intention was to go fishing early in the morning. Perhaps share where extra pods can be bought to supplement.

It was a quiet and we'll situated. The jungle gym for the kids was a win as well as the electric blankets on the beds.

The unit wasn't clean. There was not enough wood for the fire and both my kids were freezing through the night.

The kids playground, the central location and the rooms.

The heaters were not turned on and that made it a bit difficult for the kids during the winter.

Comfy beds and heated blankets were a winner and walking diatance to town and all restaurants.

Beautiful place, each unit very private. With own lounge, everything that you may need, not what you would expect from a Guest house, not just a room, more a mini apartment.

Should advertise that the entire place can be booked for bigger families and friends.

The room was neat and welcoming.

We had an emergency at mid night,we had to leave the guest house but there was no one to assist us to open the gate because the was no power and we are supposed to use the remote to open the gate.Another thing the hosts are not answering their phones they keep on ringing without response.

Small touches ie sherry on arrival in the room. Teas n coffees. First time we've seen a milk frother..lovely touch. Linen and towels excellent quality.

The TV in The Blue Crane cottage was a bit too small to see from the bed, esp for older people whose sight is a bit challenged..🙈😅 Only one side of the electric blanket was working. Smaller visual maintenance things like the bathroom tap was very loose. Skirting board wood rotting. No tiles around the shower walls, visible damp here and there. Garden areas not well maintained.

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The suite was very well equipped and catered for our every need. It is also at a very good and convenient location. The facilities and amenities are great and seems safe and secure.

Only slight hiccup was TV in bedroom did not work and main TV was very limited with channels.

Provision of comfortable setup with coffee machine and quality coffee in all rooms enhances the morning experience, allowing one to rest and ease into the day without the pressure of rushing into town early in the day.

It was a quiet road with a big garden area. There was also great snacks in the room.

The TV was very small with a dodgy online connection. The skirting board was also damaged.

TV got no channels. No hot water to shower. Phone number provided for help - no answer. No instant coffee powerfer. Had to use fancy machine that I couldn’t work out how to use. Owner off premises. Stay was horrible. Not worth the price. Very poor value. Cots provided for separate beds requested (which they set up while these despite me booking 2 separate beds and ALSO emailing the request were too narrow, too short - as were the blankets.

Our expectations were raised as a result of the booking.com pictures of the luxury home and photos of the interior. We never realised that the 'expensive' cottage we booked and that is next to the good looking home, is an old renovated Dullstroom house. In the view of 4 of us, renovations create a perception of patch work and paint on old structures - even lack of 'flow' - one nicely (best) appointed room is only accessible from the outside. Way below our expectations, based on the prominent luxury home on booking.com. As a result of the visible patch work one shower is in serious disrepair. So disappointed.

Beautifully decorated and comfortable.

The location was great. The room was spacious and very clean. We love the separate sitting area, the large bedroom, large bathroom and double shower.

The welcome was underwhelming by the receptionist. The decor was dated but very clean.

Loved the place exceeded my expectations and it was very clean and well looked after. I would recommend it

There was an issue with the hot water in one of the bedroom showers

Travelled with 3 kids under 6. They really enjoyed the playground. It was a plus that there isn't a pool on the premises cause it meant I could relax without worrying about water safety supervision. I also asked for a microwave to warm up quick meals for the kids and we got one in the room for the duration of the stay- which was excellent.

Excellent place , neat and provided variety of teas and snack.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Zanele and Larry as well as the owner of yhe place helped us a lot and they made us feel at home. The place is nice and quiet especially when you want to rest and have peace of mind. The place is neat and clean but they can improve here and there. It is not far from restaurants which made it easy for us to move around. Thank you so much, I will visit again.

No wardrobes in the cottage we slept in.

Everything. Beautiful guesthouse, beautiful location, calm, serene, peaceful. Spacious, with plenty of closet space and living space. Ideal home away from home. In close proximity to everything and Mrs. Simpsons Restaurant. The room was exceptional and the windows and amount of fresh air is lovely. Lovely view. Everything was thought of. Pure bliss.

This is a perfect little place. Easy to get to, secure, clean, comfy, warm, enormous bathroom - but it was the little things upon arrival that made it special….a drop of sherry, chocolates, sweets, drinks. It’s close enough to the centre of Dullstroom to walk, but far away enough from the main road so that it’s peaceful and quiet. The owner was readily available to call or message throughout. Thank you!

The unit we stayed in was exceptional with everything you could wish for. It offered secure parking and is within walking distance to Mrs Simpsons and the hotel.

If anything could be improved on we’d probably recommend a new set of towels and a plugpoint for USB chargers. But we had to really think hard about what could be improved

The location, cleanliness and facilities were good. The small gestures (sweets, chocolate, coffee) are a good touch. Thank you for the hospitality.

The internet connection was intermittent. The bathroom door does not lock from the inside, and there was no key in the toilet. So privacy of adults vs kids was slightly compromised.

Excellent location in Dullstroom. Highly recommended!

The main shower head was dismal. Lamp in the small bedroom was broken. Curtain in the big bedroom hanging off a hook. Plug is 2nd bedroom broken. Not sure if the hairdryer is broken but it had a round plug but no adapter to be able to plug it in. Had high hopes of a complementary sherry and gowns after reading other reviews so felt disappointed that there wasn't any

The house is well stocked and well prepared for Dullstroom weather- this is our second stay at Browns and it was excellent as before. Small touches like bathrobes, choccies and complimentary firewood enhances the stay

Thank you for the extra touches, such as the gowns. It was so cold so they were a great extra. Then also for the lady who helped us twice to kick start the fire place.

The water was cold , and the weather was very cold so taken cold showers was not nice

Bed and bedding was very good.

Hairdryer did not fit in plug. Rechargeable light was not charged. Firewood was wet.

The lodge was very beautiful and cozy
