Staff were friendly and breakfast was great. Beautiful area as well.

Beds were uncomfortable, and there were stains on the toilet that weren't cleaned.

Easy to find just off M6 and ideal for a pit stop drive from Scotland to South London. Lovely welcome, spotless clean and home cooked breakfast was a perfect start to our day. Will probably use this again, really was so nice.

The owner was great. On arrival I had booked a double room, but the room I was booked in was at the front of the property and as we were in the middle of a heatwave and it had full sun all day it was incredibly hot. The owner on arrival explained this and offered me a different small double at the back as it would be a little cooler. She let me look at both rooms in my own time and choose the one I wanted. Everything was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great and the owners husband was very attentive.

Well what can I say 🤣🤣 except i am totally embarrassed 😳 Sarah and Henry know why. And thank you so much for looking after me and Teddy. The whole day started bad, missed the stop then walked the opposite way the the hotel so had to walk back, couldn't turn the shower on, poor Sarah probably thought what have we allowed here 😅 but you both welcomed me and Teddy so well. But next month I will have to re book the date. I need a break from a break.. 🤣🤣 but Henry im intrigued in which singer you thought I was ♥️ Teddy was treated brilliantly and breakfast was fresh and delicious.

The room was an excellent size, very clean and had a bath as well as a shower. The breakfast was on time and outstanding. The reception was welcoming and prompt.

Excellent service and very welcoming. Breakfast was lovely. There was a shower over a bath. The bath was full size. The rooms were better soundproofed than most others. The hallway carpets are thick and clean. The decor is unique and interesting. The TV was a smart TV that we could get on netflix. The breakfast room is clean, comfortable and the tables are large enough and well spaced.

Some of the features are tired and could do with replacing but I'm struggling to find fault at all.

Convenient and affordable cosy hotel for our 1 night stay while visiting friends in the area. Courtesy tray with thoughtful biscuits was a welcome treat after a long drive. The breakfast was excellent. We were seated at a table that had a lovely view of the well-kept garden.

Room fittings, especially the clothes rack could be updated.

A very warm welcome. Nice breakfast. The lounge felt calm and nicely furnished. The host was attentive at breakfast and made sure we had everything we wanted. Good size car park in front of the building. It was nice to have a room at the front of the building where we could see our car.

I didn't like the nylon bedding. Cotton is more comfortable. The front of the building looked shabby with a letter half hanging off the wall. Lots if finger marks and smudges on mirrors and the glass in the doors. There is a mix of design and furniture in each area of the hotel.

I booked this hotel as a rest bite during my travels and it was perfect. So quiet and peaceful. A good welcome, escorted to my room and helped with my baggage. Had to preorder breakfast, which I didn’t mind and the table was set for my personal order in the morning. Everything was cooked fresh once I was seated. I liked it so much I stayed for a second night.

The only thing I would recommend is update the kettle. Have one with a separate power base. Most places have these now. The downfall was me picking up the kettle to refill and forgetting it was hard wired, so the kettle yanked on the wire and water went all over the place.

The property was clean but quite ‘tired’ & in need of a refresh. The shower was in the bath, which wouldn’t suit everyone. Our front facing room overlooked an industrial estate & we were woken early in the morning by lorries ‘beeping’ while reversing.

As always, we had a wonderful stay at Holly Trees. The staff were friendly and helpful both prior to and during our stay. The rooms are basic but totally adequate with a tv, kettle, hot shower etc. There is parking and communal areas to relax. Breakfast was delicious - all fresh and home cooked to order.

Lovely stay here for one night. Staff were really attentive. Rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable. Price for room and breakfast was really good value, breakfast was lovely. This is a really organised and well run place. Good location just off motorway and a nice easy walk into Alsager of about 25 minutes. Was able to get an Uber late as well back from the village. Rooms equipped with clothes rails, TV, vanity mirror and bath with shower in. Plenty of plugs and ours had USB plugs too which was helpful when I forgot my charger and a kettle and supplies available. Our room was on the road side and to be honest I never heard it. It was a nice quiet hotel. It is a little dated, however the place is super clean, smelt lovely and the owner was really attentive and seemed to be in control of everything. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The host was fantastic, the breakfast was fantastic and the overall vibe was fantastic. It is a nice cosy place especially good for shorter stays. This place was more of a family run bnb type stay but that didn't draw from the experience. The guy running it was really friendly and honestly the made to order breakfast was delicious. You can tell its high quality ingredients and made with care. The rooms are great with comfortable beds and decent space. Again, for such low prices and a bnb type vibe, you can't ask more of this place and I wouldn't mind staying again if i come back up for work.

The only thing I would say (which is more of a me issue) is that there was no shower gel. I am used to chain hotel stays so naturally I didn't pack any but of course that isn't on them. Just be sure to pack all toiletries!

Booked double room. Had double bed and single bed. Overlooked rear garden as noted a quiet room. Breakfast had excellent choice of food. Pre-ordered by form handed over at check-in to be put in collection box prior evening. Cooked to order at the time requested so piping hot, unlike buffet! Large, well presented dining room.

Room had dated facilities, 70s/80s, apart from Smart TV high up on wall opposite single bed for which I had to ask for help to receive just regular tv. Although room/bedding was clean, mastic around windows and shower could have done with a good scrub.

Sarah and Henry are super hosts, always so welcoming. The room was ideal with an extremely comfortable double bed and excellent flat screen TV. Breakfast was delicious. Being so close to the M6 is really important for me.

Breakfast promptly served. Just ordered coffee and toast. Both good. Bedroom clean. Tea/coffee facilities adequate.

Thin duvet; no extra blankets, etc. Water in basin didn't warm. Shower in need of updating; clumsy, clunky. No hairdryer, local information, etc in room; just bare. Greeting on arrival perfunctory and cold. I have an injured knee and limped in unsteadily, having just driven from London. Apologised for my entrance and explained. Host handed me my key to first floor room via steep stairs and said, 'Will you be alright with your luggage.' He didn't pick it up and say, 'Follow me.' First impressions do count. In the morning the large breakfast room was fully set but there were only two other people. The host pointed to a table and said, 'Sit there.' I sat in this vast room with the two other people in my eyeline. You enter the dining room by way of what I assume is now a defunct bar - just a bare wooden structure with no glasses, bottles, etc. I presume there is no licence, but what a cheerless place.

There was a bar there but they didn't open it 🤷 absolutely nothing to do there. It would of been nice to sit outside in the nice weather but no tables or chairs. Total waste of a garden.

Breakfast was great; even got a banana to cut up on my Weetabix. A great meal and friendly service. Owner greeted us at the door and explained everything.

Road was confined to one way only and view from bedroom was of a new industrial building. Not the fault of the hotel but just saying.
