Beautiful property, well maintained and clean. Lots of carefully thought out facilities.
Nothing - it’s excellent.
On a recommendation we visited the Manor House my wife and I everything was spotless the service we received from reception was helpful informative we arrived a few hours early before our room was ready but were told we could go de all the facilities They were having some work done ie decorating but this did not get in the way or inconvenience us if fact the work lads were all very curtious we spent the afternoon taking advantage of the facilities up until time for dinner The food was second to none from starter to dessert lovely We had the stay over package lovely quality sleep followed by again a quality breakfast with lots of options then back out to the pool area Although we had thunderstorms in the morning the bed areas were covered and half the pool also so enjoyed that also We will definitely be coming back looking for October when we’re off together again Great experience
Booked an overnight Spa stay for my sisters birthday we both had an amazing time. From entering the hotel to our departure everything was first class service staff facilities and the restaurant. We have visited lots of Spa hotels and this has got to be the best.
Excellent spa facilities. Staff very attentive. Food fantastic. Comfortable beds in rooms. Can’t wait to visit again
Wow! What an amazing stay we had, our stay was amazing from start to finish. The spa facilities, the stables food and all of the amazing staff. Everyone was so helpful and kind. We wanted to give a special mention to the lovely Lillie who we saw a few times over our stay. She was a star, she was brilliant in spa and then served us for dinner. She never stopped smiling and my wife and I were blown away by her kindness and attentive all day. She made our stay and definitely a lot of others. Her service for dinner was beyond incredible, so attentive and caring. An absolute credit to you guys! The assistant manger, sorry didn’t catch a name, hewas also very attentive. We wanted to say a massive thank you to you all, your all so welcoming and you really do have a team here.
Be careful when booking as prices change and they don't have a set price. Beautiful outstanding spa. Dinner was not acceptable and I ended up not eating. Very disappoining visit. Spoke to Ashley manger who was very stressed as they were busy with check in.
Birthday treat and oh my goodness this did not disappoint. The spa is amazing; food wonderful and rooms superbly comfortable. Really can’t fault it at all
What a fantastic place, From check in to check out the staff looked after us at all times. The spa treatments was excellent. Will definitely return & recommend to friends & family
Another great visit to spa hotel. Staff are excellent, so friendly and helpful. Spa facilities fab and rooms immaculate. We are making this our annual treat and look forward to visiting again next year. Best spa hotel I have ever visited if I am honest. Well done to all staff....you make it so special.
Wide range of quality spa facilities, not busy, good vibe and clean.

A fantastic break away for us that we could only have dreamt about! Everything was perfect right from the welcome when we arrived. Obviously a popular place but never feels too busy or crowded with plenty of space for you to indulge in all there is to offer. The pools were beautiful and relaxing, staff were so friendly and really could not do enough to help - they were superb! I have no doubt that we will return as soon as possible, we just need an excuse for a night away again! Thank you again for making it such a special time away for us. Mark & Rosie
Mother and daughter overnight stay prior to my daughter’s wedding. We didn’t want to leave!!! Fabulous spa and facilities, immaculately clean and the attention to detail was excellent. All staff friendly and professional and very informative. A special mention and praise to the lady that booked us in and checked us out and the waiter that served us our evening meal, they were extremely friendly and professional. Apologies for not asking them their names! We had such a lovely relaxing stay. The only negative (which was hard to find and wouldn’t put us off returning), the room was very warm. There was a fan but windows were on an opening restrictor, air conditioning would have been the icing on the cake. Can’t wait to return! Thank you to all.
What a great find. First class customer service . Great facilities . Super clean . Relaxing , plenty of space .
dinner was very good. Family liked the spa facilites
no aircon in bedrooms - they were very hot to sleep in. No phone number for the hotel who will only "speak" via email which feels designed to deter older people who will rely on phone contact
Really delicious food, comfy room, good spa facilities, excellent staff. We had a delightful stay and will definitely be coming back!
The property had a great view of nature and felt secluded, easy parking and bright with natural light throughout the building
Nothing
Enjoyed another fantastic sunny day of relaxation and fabulous food and service with my partner. Guaranteed a top day here.
Stayed many times before, and it’s always a great experience. The facilities are great, and the staff are incredibly helpful. The food is always very good and I like the fact it’s never too busy
Had a great time at the Manor House again - this being by 2nd trip and there will be a third soon. Thanks to all the staff for making it such a memorably weekend.
The best Spa hotel in the UK, in my opinion, and I've stayed in a good few! Absolutely faultless. Cannot wait to go again!
The room The Facilities The excellent lamb served at dinner
Not a cold breakfast buffet to select from Full English Breakfast..... the bacon was thin, dry and not freshly cooked the black pudding again thin and over cooked and kept warm Being told my £100 held would not be back into my account for approx 10 days
Was an amazing try away, will recommend to anyone. Was lovely just to spend time chilling in all the different pools, relaxing rooms and sauna. You never had to wait long for a drink when using the swim up bar to or table service. Loved every moment
Honestly this was an amazing stay from start to finish; the reception staff were so friendly and welcoming, the room was pristine and so comfy, the outdoor spa was so relaxing and the food was absolutely incredible! All the staff were so nice and friendly and I couldn’t fault it at all and I am already planning to come back. Thank you everyone :)
A different spa experience, very social and the outdoor pools are fantastic. The food has consistently been some of the best we have had and very good value for money!
A friend and I were looking for a spa trip that would work well for a weekend with a Saturday night stay. Manor Spa ticked all the boxes and we were blown away by our stay, the best spa I've ever been to! Most of the hotel has already been renovated, some ongoing works which are clearly trying to achieve a beautiful high standard all over.
Book this spa. Yoh will not be disappointed. Every aspect is outstanding. The staff are amazing andvghecspa facilities and variety are second to none
Amazing spa, great vibe, gorgeous food. Cannot wait to book again. The whole property is gorgeous and the staff are amazing.
Gorgeous spa hotel , the most beautiful spa garden with swim up bar. Lovely rooms , beds super comfortable, aircon great bonus too Amazing three course meal in stables restaurant Super friendly staff Would highly recommend
Nothing
Overnight stay with full body massage. Arrived late morning to enjoy all the facilities. Lunch in the stables restaurant was lovely. The spa is well set out so it with several areas to lounge/be in the water, making it feel more private & less crowded. Friendly staff and a nice mixture of clientele making it feel very relaxed. The spa treatment was a highlight too. The evening menu was served off a small menu but covered all areas and they didn’t rush you so could eat & drink in the continued relaxed environment.
Such an amazing venue loads of nooks to explore. Great food drinks and staff. Felt very catered to.
Incredible Spa, probably the best I’ve been to.
It was a birthday gift for my husband. We have been to a lot of spas over the years, including Carden spa which we thought was up there but we definitely think this trumps that one. We came away on a high because of how perfect the whole experience/stay was. We were there only 24 hours. We could have easily stayed an additional 24. A must try, you will not be disappointed. We can’t wait to go back.
What an incredible experience it was. With the recent heatwave, it genuinely felt like we’d gone abroad for the weekend rather than stayed in the UK. The spa facilities are simply exceptional – unlike anything I’ve experienced elsewhere in the UK. There was plenty of space to relax, and we never struggled to find a sun lounger. I also loved how the staff regularly removed towels from unused loungers, preventing guests from reserving beds they weren’t actually using. It was great to see this in action, and a huge shoutout to the team for managing it so well. It made the whole experience much more enjoyable for everyone. The facilities were fantastic, with two swim-up bars offering different atmospheres. On Saturday, there was a DJ at the main pool, creating a fun, lively vibe, while the second pool was perfect for those wanting a quieter, more relaxing experience. It was the best of both worlds. The food throughout our stay was exceptional. Dinner and breakfast were both outstanding, with delicious, high-quality dishes. The breakfast service was a little slower than expected. A special thank you to Chloe, who looked after us brilliantly during my husband’s birthday dinner. The lamb was absolutely to die for, and the starters – especially the duck and the pork ribs – were genuinely finger-licking good. Every meal included in our package exceeded our expectations. We also had lunch at The Stables. The food was very tasty, although I do wish lunch had been served closer to the spa area rather than requiring a walk over to the restaurant. The prices were also a little on the high side for the portion sizes – for example, the pizza was around £18.50, and while the prawn and avocado salad was delicious, it also felt a little expensive (£19). The only other small downside was that we didn’t have the best night’s sleep. We’re not sure whether it was the bed or the room temperature, but it certainly didn’t take away from what was otherwise an amazing stay. Finally, I want to say how wonderful every member of staff was. I can’t remember everyone’s names, but every interaction was friendly, professional and welcoming. Their service really made us feel looked after throughout the weekend. One of the biggest reasons we chose Manor House over other spa hotels was the ability to enjoy the spa facilities during the day on Saturday and again on Sunday morning. That extra access added so much value to our stay and made the weekend feel longer and even more relaxing.
An extremely special experience, all possible details of what you may require had been thought of, every element of the stay was wonderful we could not fault it, the staff were helpful and professional, we walked away very relaxed and happy with our experience at the hotel and cannot wait to visit again
The PERFECT rest break for us, after wedding planning! There was so much to do, every part is beautiful, and the Sunday escape package was an amazing deal!
If you are looking for an outdoor Spa this cannot be topped whether it’s cold or sunny. The hotel rooms are ok, a touch small, but clean and bright.. the Spa facilities are 10 out of 10 though
Amazing in every aspect, loved every second!
What a fabulous place, the staff were wonderful and took such pride in their jobs. The facilities were stunning and so well looked after. The food in the stables was beautiful. Thank you so much for an amazing stay
Insanely disappointed. Attempted to book a spa retreat. They tell you to book online but the information online is incorrect. After nearly a week of emails, they took down the link they asked me to send them as it contained an offer they said they no longer wanted customers to see. They suggested I had made it up even though I sent them screenshots - very bizarre. The link had been visible for around 3 weeks prior as my friend and I kept looking at it when deciding what to book. I'd asked for a call to finalise the booking - which I missed as I was in a meeting. I was available the entire following day and requested a call anytime that day (you can't call them) but they didn't bother. They just kept sending ineffective, unhelpful and inefficient emails. Never got the spa booked. Absolutely desperate for a spa and had been so excited to book. They completely took all fun out of it. I feel more stressed and upset than I did before trying to book. Even more disappointed as I have been before and enjoyed it which is why I wanted to return. I had also embarrassingly recommended the place to lots of friends.
Booked an overnight spa break with friends for my special birthday and this was the perfect place. I will definitely be coming back. The spa is beautiful with plenty of space and beds. The pools are lovely. Just a really relaxing environment. We were lucky with the weather but the facilities looked as if they could easily cope with typical English weather! The evening meal in the Stables restaurant was delicious and very reasonably priced. The bedrooms were luxurious and comfortable. Absolutely loved it. I didn't book any treatments as they seemed expensive. For me just relaxing in the spa was perfect.
Spa facilities
No handrail on stairs of indoor pool. No WiFi in room 234
Place is beautiful, spa and pool facilities are great, swim up bars great. Stables restaurant also very good service and quality food! Rooms pretty basic
What a gorgeous property. I took my mom for an overnight stay for her birthday and what a great experience! The facilities are absolutely gorgeous. It did get crowded with the day pass users, however, the morning at spa was perfect. Even when it was more crowded, there were so many little nooks around the spa that you could go relax away from the crowd. The main areas (pools with bars) stay busy, however, they have multiple steams, saunas, mediation areas, outdoor sitting areas and cold plunges. All in great condition and just beautiful. Staff is wonderful and dinner was also great!
We had a lovely stay with my boyfriend. We felt like we were on holiday because the heatwave arrived as we stayed. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was really nice and quite posh/fancy. The breakfast was amazing, and the facilities of the spa are great with lots to choose from. My only complaints would be that our bedroom was located right next to the hallway for outside spa access, so lots of people were passing by and talking. The bathroom cleanliness was fine, but the door for the shower was old and worn and made a very loud sound as we were getting in and out of the shower.
Def one of the best spas we have ever been to, the quality of the place is second to none and there are so many different areas within the spa that you never feel like any of it is busy. Will definitely be going back
Special birthday treat for the Mrs! Amazing place, so relaxing and loved how friendly and relaxed the whole atmosphere was
A little oasis of relaxation with excellent facilities, spotlessly clean rooms and spa area. Service exceptional. Restaurant food was lovely with a great menu choice. Visited on a Tuesday/Wednesday and was not too busy - would definitely visit again
You can really see how well structured and thought out this place this. We went on a Sunday to Monday but it wasn’t overcrowded. Beds can’t be reserved which is nice because people hog them in alot of places. You are spoilt for choice with the facilities, the massage I had was the best I’ve received and the food was second to none. My friend and I went for our 40th birthdays and I don’t think it will be long before we are back there! Only suggestion is aircon in the rooms as it was soooo hot and another reception staff member would be beneficial as it was abit slow.
The Manor House hotel was lovely we first arrived and check in was great let us check into our room straight away, the spa facilities were amazing, you could really relax, the room were lovely and the food was lovely. The staff were all so friendly and very helpful, we went for my friends 40th birthday and had a fantastic time
Beautiful property couldn’t flaw it at all
I think the staff working here were lovely and really made it for us
My partner and I stayed overnight here as a birthday present and we were just blown away! The hotel was luxurious, the food was divine and the spa facilities were brilliant. We arrived early as we wanted to cache in on our full spa time allotment to find that the room was ready early and we were able to check in to drop off our bags! The room was just exquisite; everything was top quality, the room was spotless and we were more than happy with the amenities provided - a fan to keep myself cool, robes and slippers for the shower (as well as the ones with the spa). We then went down the spa for the evening and had a wonderful time relaxing in the circuit. The drinks were well-made and well-priced, it wasn't too busy/loud that we couldn't enjoy ourselves. We then went and had a beautiful meal at the restaurant, hosted by the most pleasant staff - it was such a wonderful experience all round. The food tasted wonderful and we couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. We then both had a wonderful night's sleep and when it came time to check out, they were so polite and made the whole thing so simple and easy. We are so grateful to everyone at the Manor House and couldn't have been happier with our stay. We will definitely be coming again and will be recommending it to everyone we know! Thank you again, for making it such a wonderful stay! 😊
Fantastic stay. Staff were so helpful and attentive. Spa was lovely and as was the food.
Rooms rather dated a lunch menu in the stables limited and slightly over priced.
The spa is wonderful, hotel meal in the evening was lovely.
Nothing
Spa area was lovely. The weather definitely helped as it’s mostly outside. Bedrooms very comfortable, staff were great, food in restaurant was delicious and overall it felt excellent value for money with bed, spa and breakfast and 3 course dinner included.
Coming from South Africa, we are used to many different SPA experiences, however this one is truly unique. A Spa encouraging social engagement for those wanting to connect with friends, facilities beautifully designed with expansion views yet catered for cold weather conditions and many nooks to unwind and recharge. Wish we had a facility like this in SA - just cannot recommend it more!
One of the best spa in my opinion. Luxury and amazing staff. Food / drink are both 10 out of 10 🙂…We went last year and decided to revisit this year and will defo be back next year
Great place to celebrate a birthday. Great spa/room/food/bar . Service was amazing. Breakfast was one of the best i have ever had.
A wonderful overnight spa package at Manor House. I highly recommend this very special experience, everything about it was excellent.
Lovely spa and made even better by the fantastic weather! Very relaxing and lovely food in the restaurant. Room was great. Would recommend and visit again.
We booked a Date Night Escape and everything was perfect, absolutely stunning. The only thing that let it down was being charged 2 x service charges for our meal (the meal and wine is included in the package but we were charged more than 10% of the meal) The food and service was well worth it so we were happy to pay it but it wasn’t very clear
Lovely spa facilities and great service. It felt like being on holiday. There are lots of loungers and always some in the shade which was great. My boyfriend did get food poisoning, but the dinner was nice. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Thank you!
We have had a lovely 24 hours at this lovely spa and hotel. The spa really is beautiful and the staff lovely. We were lucky to be there in the hot weather and it felt like a mini holiday without the flight. Dinner was perfect and again staff lovely. 3 little niggles 1 - hotel guests can’t use the pool bar for food however, the stables restaurant doesn’t have the spa vibe. 2 - the pillows are very poor quality especially when paying what you do to stay. 3- breakfast - you have to book a time to avoid you waiting which is fine however, it was slow and not great. I had eggs Benedict, the eggs were not runny, the bread soggy and the whole thing almost cold. Overall we would love to come back and would really hope breakfast is on par with everything else.
Amazing facilities, great stay!
Nothing.
Stayed overnight with a friend. There was some work going on but we knew this and it was not invasive. Didn’t really notice it but some may find fault if picky. The facilities in the garden spa are lovely. Nicely spread out to be private but near each other. We loved the pools with the bar for a hot or cold drink. It also doesn’t matter about the weather. I’d even go in the snow as it would bring another view to it. Sometimes spas can seem a bit pretentious . This was cosy, relaxed and a breath of fresh air (literally). The food was also lovely . I’m sure we would have paid a lot more else where. Staff so lovely and calm and relaxed. We can’t fault the manor.
A wonderful spa, great hotel with extra large room and bathroom. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Whole place was meticulously kept and run. The food in the Stables restaurant was some of the best too. Will definitely return.
Honestly what an experience, the whole place has had a lot of thought go into it and was truly beautiful and relaxing. I appreciated that even though it was fully booked it didn't feel really busy and that made the whole experience enjoyable. The facilities are brilliant, staff are lovely and I will definitely be back.
I recently visited the Manor House Spa Hotel and couldn’t fault a single thing. The venue is absolutely beautiful, the staff were exceptionally warm and friendly, and the outdoor spa is simply incredible. It’s easily one of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly relaxing and high-quality getaway.
I love this place - it honestly feels like a proper holiday if you spend 24 hours here, lunch - then spa, then supper, then breakfast - then a bit more spa if you can squeeze it in before checkout! The secret garden and the cold dip pools are my favourite :)
Just returned from a fantastic spa break at The Manor House. The staff were outstanding and every team member was pleasant and polite. The spa was so relaxing and has a great set up. Food in the restaurant was fabulous and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely return and highly recommend as great value for money too.
Excellent staff, close proximity to M6.
Shower leaked quite badly.
First time of trying the hotel and spa. We chose the Sunday dinner, bed, and breakfast package. I didn't know what to expect as the package seemed good value. On arriving and exploring the facilities we were very impressed with everything. We will definitely be back, it's the best spa and stay we've done so far, and preferred manor house to Carden Park.
We recently booked an overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. Check in was great with a very personal experience. Everything was explained clearly and we were made to feel very welcome. The room was lovely. It was modern but cosy and clean. We did miss the option of an iron though but not biggie. The bathroom was well equipped. We didnt sleep too well because the room was so hot with no way to control it. The spa was amazing. A fab touch with the robes given in bags to take away. We loved the spa garden. There were just enough beds and it wasnt too busy but could see that it may be on a sunny day. There were plenty of thermal options and multiple places to relax. The swinging beds with heaters were excellent as was the swim up bar. The cocktail options were brilliant too. In the evening we dined in the Stables. I would highly recommend the Chicken paprikash and the lamb was the best I have ever had. The desserts were great too. The breakfast area was very relaxed and serene. The staff were very attentive. The food was tasty, again I would recommend the French toast.... delicious. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely recommend this place to others.
Had a lovely overnight stay for our anniversary . Very relaxing and chillled in the swim up bar pool
We had a really enjoyable stay at the Manor House Hotel & Spa overall. The setting is genuinely beautiful, and the outdoor garden area was a real highlight, especially in the sunshine. It creates a lovely, relaxed environment that feels a bit different from the typical spa experience. The atmosphere is more social than you might expect, which we actually quite liked. It gave the whole place a more relaxed and less clinical feel. The staff throughout were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made a big difference to the overall experience. The evening meal included in our overnight stay was outstanding. The quality of the food was genuinely impressive and easily one of the highlights of the visit. In contrast, lunch at The Stables was a bit of a let-down. The menu felt quite limited, with mainly salads and pizzas on offer, and relatively expensive for what it was. Given how strong the evening dining was, the difference was quite noticeable. One area that was disappointing was the spa treatment availability. We stayed on a Tuesday and were unable to book any treatments. This wasn’t made clear to us at the time of booking, and had we known, we would have arranged things differently. As treatments are a big part of why we book spa stays, it did feel like we missed out on a key part of the experience. Greater clarity around this at the point of booking would be really helpful for future guests. That said, we still had a very good stay overall and would definitely consider returning.
I had a really lovely stay at the Manor House and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff were amazing! Extremely helpful and welcoming throughout, which made a real difference to my visit. The Stables restaurant was fantastic and definitely a highlight, and the spa itself was excellent. There is currently some construction work underway to enhance the spa facilities. While it didn’t detract from my stay, a heads-up beforehand would have been appreciated, as there were some building staff on site and a few unfinished areas visible.
Would 100% recommend this spa - very relaxing and beautifully presented.Food was gorgeous, all spa areas were amazing and staff was friendly, treatment was also 10/10
Excellent
My husband and I booked this trip as part of my 40th birthday celebrations and it was perfect from start to finish. Check in was smooth and informative with the added bonus that our room was ready on arrival. We started our stay with afternoon tea in The Stables - delicious - before heading to The Spa Garden. The space is absolutely beautiful with so much attention to detail. It was a beautiful sunny day and the spa was fully booked but it never felt crowded. The swim up bars were such a treat and we liked that one of them was a quieter space. Our evening meal in The Stables was excellent, as was breakfast the next morning. It was lovely to also have spa access on the morning of checking out too as this was a relaxing way to end the break. We’ve already booked to come back!
The Manor House Spa is a cut above the rest and we've visited plenty of 5 star spas. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food and drink options are exceptional and the facilities are beautiful. We love that even at full capacity over Easter weekend, there was always somewhere quiet to go whether that was in the secret garden with the swinging beds hidden behind the pool with water feature, the covered, heated pergolas overlooking the fields or the indoor pool. We had the Spa and Stay deal and the dinner in the evening was very good. A small menu but perfectly cooked. The room was spacious with two double beds and a lovely big bathroom with bath robes. We made the most of the lovely sunny weather but there are plenty of indoor spaces and fire pits for the colder weather. Everything at Manor House Spa is just as a spa should be - calm and beautiful.
Not the cheapest Spa experience by any means. The Spa itself has two areas which are very small and busy. Food was basic, a meze plate or alternative was afternoon tea which looked basic. Request from staff on entering was not to reserve loungers with towels but every lounger was reserved so no where to sit. Only staff members were behind the bar. One hot tub but was packed so couldn’t get in, other ‘private’ hot tubs looked like they could be hired out at a cost.
We visited Manor House in order to celebrate my partner's 30th birthday, and it was the best decision, as they made our experience so special. The room was lovely, the staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful I've ever come across, and the spa was second to none. The swim-up bar and drinks delivery service were ideal, and the cocktails were out of this world. We had the mezze platter for lunch (we actually couldn't finish it, it was so filling!), and had 3 courses at the Stables restaurant for dinner. The food was delicious, and they even brought out a special birthday surprise with dessert, which was such a special touch. Cannot reccomend this place enough!
Absolutely loved our stay just what we needed, special mention to reception who facilitated a short notice date change due to a family bereavement.
The best spa break we’ve had in the UK so far, the range of facilities was brilliant and the food was incredible. Will definitely be back!
Beautiful Setting but shame the pool and Jacuzzis weren't warmer as it was a cold wet weekend when we visited and the pool and spa areas were too cold for comfort.
Best spa I've ever been to. Great treatments and fantastic facilities. The food was delicious. Exactly what we needed.
The facilities are amazing
Nothing
Facilities were lovely! Wish we had longer will be back to make full use of the spa!
This is an extremely nice place to spend time, for relaxation or even for a couple of nights stay whilst in the area. The food is absolutely top notch and the Spa is very nice.
Wonderful place with fantastic staff. Made our special anniversary even more so. Food in the stables restaurant was incredible.
Real enjoyed the stay and the facilities. Staff were lovely and the food was amazing. Great relaxing stay with use of the spa. Really enjoyed it and would recommend.
Lovely relaxing spa hotel with fabulous food and great service. The outdoor spa facilities are fantastic with steam rooms, sauna, hot spa pools etc and numerous seating areas with heaters and blankets so you feel like you have plenty of space to yourself whatever the weather. The indoor pool area is also lovely. The food in the stables restaurant is fabulous - we had lamb and beef which were so tender with beautifully flavoured vegetables. The puddings were amazing too
Manor House Hotel & Spa offers an outstanding relaxing experience away from the noise and bustle of city life. Wonderful staff, fantastic facilities, delicious food and a bed you never want to get out of! This is truly an unforgettable place which you will return to over and over again 👌
it may have been our first visit but hopefully it won't be our last, the staff were so helpful and friendly, I can't think of a single thing to criticise! The food was amazing, the room lovely and the bed so comfortable - I think this is the nicest hotel we have stayed in
A fabulous place, the spa garden is beautiful! I’ve never come across an experience like it in the north west. The most relaxing way to spend a Wednesday afternoon.
The facilities are fantastic, a beautiful, luxury-feeling spa with plenty of space to not feel crowded. Everything was clean and well maintained. Service was impeccable, specifically Alex at the poolside bar and John at breakfast. The dinner was AMAZING, the menu is very impressive and the quality of the food was stunning. We were blown away by the level of finish, rivalling a lot of high-end restaurants in Manchester. Get the full 3 courses! Overall, unbelievable value for money
We did go on a Tuesday in January, but music was very low during dinner. After a couple of drinks we felt like we had to lower our voices to talk and that it was eerily quiet. Raising the music volume would solve that quite easily and create more of a vibe and relaxed atmosphere
My friend and I visited January 26, our package was 10am till 7pm with lunch 1 hour massage and 1 hour in the relaxation lounge. This spa is absolutely fantastic and has had improvement since our last visit. Two hot outdoor pools with swim up bars and indoor pool which has had seats and the swing bed reupholstered and looks fantastic. Steam room, sauna, a cold dip pool and bath. Cosy pods to relax and rewind. As a vegan, I am always more than satisfied with the vegan mezze platter in the very comfortable pool house. The staff are super friendly and professional. The massage treatment was so relaxing and was the first time for us in the new treatment rooms. When we came back from the treatment it was dark and the spa was lit up with fairy lights and looked magical. I throughly recommend this spa. Its fabulous.
I was expecting good things having read the other reviews but was worried that the food in particular might disappoint as I just have very high standards. But it didn't, it was really incredible and excellent value in the dinner bed and breakfast deal. Great spa lunch too, just overall a really perfect weekend
This is our second visit. Came with a friend and we just love the facilities. Cold plunge pool, saunas, meditation room, pools, jacuzzi everything is just first class. The pool in the swim up bar is amazing. The water is hot so you never feel cold, we were there last week when the air temp was freezing. We didn’t even use the indoor facilities. We had a room with 2 king sized beds and the bed was really comfy. Towels were really plump and soft. Breakfast is 10/10, quality of the food is exceptional. If I’m being really picky there’s only one choice for the vegetarian main meal and we were there 2 nights so I did have the fish, as I didn’t want the same main, but don’t normally eat meat/fish. It was delicious tho.
Not a dislike, but a shame we were there on a Tuesday as the spa gets a deep clean which means there are no treatments, which was a shame as we would liked to have had a massage or facial. Had a facial last time and it was lovely.
Mainly due to the fact that we have a disabled son, we have not been away on our own for the last 5 years (during which both my husband and I have both had our 40th birthdays). So when we knew we were finally getting the chance to have a night away, I was keen to find something good. I scoured the internet trying to find somewhere but lots of the reviews of other hotels were mixed and I didn’t want us to waste our money or time, and not enjoy our rare hotel stay. I came across The Manor House website and thought it looked great. And the reviews were so overwhelmingly positive, so we booked. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away with every detail. We seriously couldn’t fault a thing. The money and care they have obviously spent on the place just shows. We wanted a chance to relax as our lives are so very hectic…and that is certainly what we did! The outdoor spa and swim-up bar were luxury in themselves. We just moved from area to area, reading, chatting and having a drink! The meal in the evening was incredible. We have eaten at some Michelin-starred places in the past and the food here was better than some of those! There is truly nothing negative to say about this place (and I am pretty fussy!) So often hotels seem to cut corners to make money, or even charge you extra to have time in the spa, but here it was included in our break so meant we could spend the whole day relaxing, and even have a couple of hours in there the next morning before we had to head home. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard and made our stay so incredible.
Booked the date night couples spa break with my fiance to celebrate our anniversary and we both had an amazing time. From the staff, service, facilities everything was exemplary. Our favourite part was the food at the stables. Compliments to the chef, food was incredibly tasty and presented well. Will definitely come to visit again and recommend to friends and family!
