Friendly staff, great food and a beautiful room. The pool has one of the best views I’ve experienced
I travelled to Saint Lucia for the first time as a solo traveller, and what started as an incredibly stressful evening turned into one of the most memorable hospitality experiences I have ever had. Unfortunately, I had to leave the hotel I had originally booked after arriving at night and being unable to properly check in. I was scrambling to find somewhere else to stay when, thankfully, I discovered that Hotel Chocolat had availability. I booked immediately and contacted the hotel — and from that moment, everything changed. Kailanna was AMAZING! She immediately arranged a taxi to collect me, and within approximately 25 minutes from my initial call to arriving at the hotel, everything was perfectly prepared for me. I arrived to a welcome drink, a refreshing cold towel, and a porter already waiting with the door open to welcome me and assist with my luggage. Everything was absolutely seamless. What had felt like a night of complete chaos suddenly became peaceful, calm and effortless the moment I arrived at Hotel Chocolat. That transition was entirely because of the level of care and hospitality I received. Kailanna provided one of THE most exceptional hospitality experiences I have encountered. Knowing that I had been travelling and dealing with such a difficult evening, she even asked the kitchen to remain open so that I could have dinner before going to bed. And the next morning? I returned to my room to discover that she had arranged a beautiful birthday surprise with wine and chocolate! Talk about a ROCKSTAR — Kailanna absolutely is one! Her customer service is outstanding, genuine and incredibly memorable. She deserves every bit of recognition — and a promotion! My room was also exceptionally clean, neat and fully stocked. After the experience I had earlier that evening, walking into such a beautifully prepared space made me appreciate the attention to detail even more. The rest of the Concierge team was equally wonderful. Keiffer and Krystal are absolute GEMS! They were warm, kind and incredibly helpful, ensuring that my requests were not simply met, but often exceeded — with some needs anticipated before I even had to ask. Another moment that truly stayed with me happened one evening when I was feeling a little nauseous but decided to go to dinner. Henrietta noticed that I wasn’t feeling my best and immediately made sure I had some tea. She periodically checked on me throughout dinner, and you could tell that her concern was completely genuine. She was patient, kind and attentive. She arranged the shuttle to take me back to my room, offered to accompany me if I preferred to walk, escorted me to the vehicle and made sure I was comfortable before I left. What touched me even more was that she checked on me again the following morning. That is hospitality with heart. Myles at the Pool Bar was another standout! He made my floating breakfast experience effortless and enjoyable. His service was seamless, and he consistently went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. What impressed me most about Hotel Chocolat is that the hospitality here never felt rehearsed or transactional. You can genuinely tell that these individuals aren’t simply working in hospitality for a paycheck — hospitality seems to be part of who they authentically are. There is a warmth, sincerity and genuine desire to care for guests that is difficult to teach. As a woman travelling alone, feeling safe and comfortable was incredibly important to me. At Hotel Chocolat, I felt completely at ease. In only three days, I somehow went from being a solo traveller arriving after a stressful experience to feeling as though I had found a second home — and even a little Saint Lucian family. 🥹❤️ Even upon checkout, Manager Marguerite was an absolute sweetheart and added another warm touch to the end of my stay. This wasn’t simply a hotel stay for me. It was a genuinely wholesome hospitality experience that I will remember for a very long time. To Kailanna, Keiffer, Krystal, Henrietta, Myles, Marguerite and the entire Hotel Chocolat team — thank you for turning what began as an incredibly difficult night into such a beautiful birthday experience. ⭐️ 1000/10. HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. If you’re considering Hotel Chocolat in Saint Lucia, BOOK IT! ❤️
I am writing this review because I had some communication issues with reservations prior to my stay but everything was resolved satisfactorily. My concerns were addressed by Bernaby the manager who was accommodating and listened carefully and acted quickly. Every member of staff was flawless in their attention and professionalism. The food was exceptional, the eco-friendly villas are beautiful with a rain shower and great views. The chocolate-making experience is a must and we enjoyed the floating breakfast and Krystal was patient and took lots of photos. Thanks to the staff including the spa ladies who have the best massages, for a beautiful and memorable stay. Our waiting staff, bar staff and reception, thank you. Quality, eco-friendly yet luxurious, stunning views of the Pitons throughout the property and friendly, professional staff. The entire experience more than made up for my initial concerns.
While I try to understand the open to nature concept, which is what I believe they’re doing. The facility needs to do a greater job with mosquito control. The bed had a net, however mosquitoes were inside the net. The insect repellant available in the room didn’t do much to prevent the mosquitoes bites we suffered from all night. We had to fully cover ourselves under the sheets despite the heat, only to avoid the bites. The opened to nature concept also allowed for us to find droppings from birds and lizards throughout the room, which wasn’t all that great. I’m happy we didn’t stay here more than a night, as I’m not sure how we would’ve coped with this. Especially the mosquitoes issue, which was our biggest problem. Given that the net provided still didn’t prevent mosquitoes from getting to us. We could actually see mosquitoes flying on the inside of the net. With such an opened room concept, I truly believe more needs to be done to reduce the amount of mosquitoes inside the rooms.
The ambiance: Exceptional! The service: Phenomenal! Value for money: Absolutely worth it! Quality of food and drinks: World class and authentic! Big up to the restaurant service team including Crystal with memorable and authentic personalities and exceptional service! Restaurant management and front desk team were the creme de la creme! My birthday experience was phenomenal! Will I recommend to other guests and return some day? DEFINITELY! Checked in on the 10th of June for two nights. I finally made time to write this review. This is not AI or a paid review haha! Merci team Rabot! The experience was amazing, eco-friendly, a getaway from the world and reconnecting with all that matters! It was a great decision to choose to stay with yall!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rabot Hotel from Hotel Chocolat is one of the most unique hotel experiences I’ve had. Nestled in the lush hills of Soufrière, the property offers breathtaking views of the Pitons and an atmosphere that feels peaceful, private, and completely immersed in nature. The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. One of the highlights was experiencing the property’s connection to chocolate—from the cacao growing on-site to the various chocolate-inspired experiences available to guests. The rooms are designed to embrace the surrounding landscape, allowing guests to disconnect and truly appreciate the beauty of Saint Lucia. The views alone are worth the stay, especially at sunrise and sunset. The food was thoughtfully prepared, the grounds were beautifully maintained, and the overall experience felt authentic rather than overly commercialized. If you’re looking for a resort that offers something different from a traditional beachfront stay, Rabot Hotel delivers an unforgettable experience.
It’s literally in the middle of the jungle, with the most amazing view of the petit piton. Everything is perfect in this suspended paradise! The food at the restaurant is quite innovative, you can taste that everything is fresh and made from scratch. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Being in the middle of the jungle means nights can be noisy. We loved it, and the hotel provided earplugs but that something to note.
We enjoyed our honeymoon at Hotel Chocolat. Food is 10 out of 10. Views are amazing. We had the luxe lodge and definitely recommend for couples. The verandah space is worth it. We looked forward to the daily delicious breakfast and chocolate truffles in our room mini bar. I miss it already and would love to go back again. Staff and concierge was amazing. Also booking anything from excursions or just a taxi was so easy. Location is very convenient if you want to be close to all the attractions and access to restaurants or nearby beaches.
Lunch at Rabot is an experience on its' own! The ambiance is super chill and classy at the same time. Their Soursop Mocktail in champagne flute is a sparkling dream. Amazing Breadfruut Balls and Salt Fish Fritters. Rice...oh wow. Vegetables like a painting and crispy. The Chocolate Ravioli unique. Then the desserts....... the Chocolate Creme Brulee and Chocolate Tiramisu were OUT OF THIS WORLD! I wanted to take home a tub of each, along with the lovely pastry chef!.
Room was small with no view or aircon Service at breakfast was glacial The food and drinks are very expensive and priced in us$ The fish was overcooked Noisy road Over priced and average quality
AMAZING !! Stayed with my husband for 4 nights. From start to end the staff, food and accommodation have been so so good. The staff are friendly and accommodating, rooms clean and well equipped, food and service are the best we’ve had. Nothing is to much trouble. The rooms are open to the elements which is an experience in itself. We did the tour of the farm, it’s a definite must. We made our own chocolate bars. John was our guide and he was great. Loads of information.
This is an incredible place and great experience. From the food, location, staff friendliness, staff welcoming, nature experience, it’s a real tropical rainforest and experience that must be on the bucket list.
Stayed here 2 nights in May 2026 and honestly blown away. Room was spotless — like, white-glove clean. Staff went out of their way to help, restaurant had incredible food — everything was perfect — and the views at the pool are unreal. Would book again in a heartbeat. Great for couples or anyone who wants to feel pampered.
The scenery and the pool were out of this world, and the fact that you get to stay in the middle of a forest, hearing its sounds, is also amazing.
The restaurant has a poor menu, lacking of variety and only Cacau based dishes. In the beginning is nice, maybe for one meal, not for all. Additionally, most part of the staff (hotel and restaurant) looked angry, almost like you’re doing something wrong.
It was ok, the view was the best bit. The food itself was ok, but I honestly think we ate better elsewhere this week. It was reasonably priced and the staff felt friendly.
The hotel is gorgeous and the location is amazing but you are limited in choices to eat and drink around the resort, unless you take a taxi, which the resort is happy to arrange. The rooms are very lovely and comfortable and open to the elements which is lovely. This place would have got 5 stars if it wasn't for the breakfast! We paid for B&B but the 'complimentary' breakfast was literally a plate with 2 bananas, a slice of melon and a smoothie shot. Everything else we had to pay for and it was very expensive!! The staff were mostly very friendly. If you're happy to not wonder far you will love this place but we would have preferred to be able to walk into town
The Jungle feel and the lodges were excellent. Fantastic view from pool & restaurant.
Limited smaller food options, only full meals.
The hotel is amazing, the rooms are immersed in nature and wildlife as well as being beautiful, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and also the restaurant for dinner was definitely one of the best in the island. The service in the restaurant is quite slow, which it’s actually nice to be slower on holiday. Definitely recommended.
Hotel Chocolat is my favourite brand of chocolate to eat in the UK , so it was wonderful to be able to stay here for a couple of nights after we had stayed by the coast for a few days. Chocolate made from cacao grown in St Lucia is distinctively different from any other chocolate. It has a malty flavour which I love. The rooms are essentially luxurious cabins. There are shutters (no glass) and an open air shower, so you are fully immersed in the jungle-like setting. There is no air conditioning but it was cool enough for us a night time. You will see and hear all the little jungle critters! (The hotel provides earplugs) The views from the pool area and bar/restaurant are breathtaking. You can see the road from one end of the pool area , so we moved to the other end and the problem was solved. The staff are great and arranged freshly picked coconuts from the hotel grounds, so we could have rum cocktails. The complimentary tour of the plantation was excellent and very informative.
Absolutely stunning views. Delicious and beautifully presented food. The most amazing walks on the property’s doorstep. If you want nature in abundance this is the place to come. Staff are friendly and highly accommodating and caring. Special thank you to the staff that looked after me when I was very sick, and gave us the room for longer upon check out so I could rest before my flight home. I still appreciate your kindness so much to this day. If we come back to St Lucia we will 100% come back to your hotel, thank you again!
Nothing
Amazing views, very nice surroundings on the plantation. Sulfur springs and other attractions closeby. Spacious rooms, onteresting restairant concept. The staff is nice and helpful. Good wifi.
Although I understand the open concept, mosquitos were very annoying. Instead of this design, installing a full glass glass sliding door that could be opened once one wants to and to closing all the openair the gaps where mosquitos could enter would do it and would be much nicer. The car noises are a bit disturbing. Breakfast choices are rather limited.
Les chambres étaient très bien , en phase avec les espaces naturels. Le petit déjeuner est excellent.
Le bruit de la rue
We have stayed in 4 different resorts in st lucia the windjammer, coco bay , villa beach cottages all amazing. We splashed out on the last night in Hotel chocolate paying £540 for one night as it was my birthday. We though it would be amazing while the restaurant area and pool we beautiful , the sleeping accommodation was basic, ie no mesh or glass on windows so all the mosquito's, birds, geckos came into the room . The birds came in and pooped on our cloths. We were given an electric bat to ensure the mossies' were not under the mossi net when we got into bed at night this took 25 mins of vigorou batting to get rid. Also no aircon and it was very hot. I am vary adapt to staying in basic accommodation but not at a £500 plus price tag , also the staff were not the most help full. I spoke to receptionist who just shrugged her shoulders not interested at all.
This spot is so incredibly beautiful! We stayed in the luxe lodge. Our view was stunning as we overlooked Petit Piton. stalling asleep to the sounds of birds and nature was surreal. I was nervous that the open air may cause the room to be warm, or have mosquitoes but neither of these things ended up being issues. The staff was so kind. Food was great. The place is kept spotless. I’d love to go back.
We had an incredible stay here. The estate grounds are gorgeous and we loved the views from our lodge too as well as the design of the room allowing for a through flow breeze and no need for air conditioning. The food was outstanding too. We would like to thank you again for our room upgrade which was amazing.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1-week in late-February - we absolutely loved our stay. The hotel and Rabot estate is beautiful, with incredible views across the estate (make sure to see the Big Nature Trail sea view). The staff are also fantastic, everyone was friendly and helpful. Breakfast and the restaurant were great, as was the pool and spa. The hotel had a range of excursions and we found the Gros Piton hike, Project Chocolate tour, and beach and town shuttle, very well organised.
We were worried about mosquitoes based on previous reviews. While we got some bites, the staff did a lot to manage mosquitoes including spraying the resort several times a week and your room twice a day. Our only two small issues were that we requested an extra fan to feel more comfortable overnight and we didn’t have a functioning tablet to communicate with staff - neither of these became available during our stay.
We stayed at Rabot Hotel from Hotel Chocolat for two nights as a stopover on the way from the airport further north, and it was honestly the perfect format for a short stay. What you’re really paying for here is the atmosphere: individual lodges tucked into the jungle, with night-time nature sounds that didn’t disturb our sleep at all, if anything, it made the whole experience feel more “St Lucia” and less like a generic resort. The lodge was also well set up for the tropics (mosquito-friendly touches like a canopy over the bed and practical little bits that make a difference when you’re surrounded by nature). The chocolate theme is not a gimmick, it’s properly woven into the experience. The hotel sits on the Rabot Estate cacao plantation, and your stay includes a tree-to-bar/cacao tour where you can learn the process and even make your own chocolate bar. The restaurants lean into it too: lots of menu items and sauces/cocktails featuring cacao or chocolate notes in a fun way. A major highlight was the infinity pool and the view of the Pitons — absolutely stunning and one of those views you don’t get tired of. Worth noting: this is not a beach hotel. There’s no beach on-site, but they do run a complimentary shuttle (twice daily) to a nearby beach. For us, the beach itself wasn’t the main event as the hotel is more about the plantation/jungle vibe and the views. As a bonus, it’s a great base for exploring Soufrière — the Sulphur Springs “drive-in volcano” and mud baths are very close, and there are great viewpoints and trails in the area. Overall, for two nights it was exactly what we wanted: atmospheric, unique, very on-theme, and a lovely way to experience this part of the island before moving on.
The Rabot Hotel - perfect for a couple of nights as it’s very pricey - especially the restaurant, although the food is sublime . Luxe lodge was perfect as was the view. Bean to bar chocolate experience fantastic but best of all - the chocolate facial - unique and much enjoyed highlight of my stay .
We had a good stay, not a great one. The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are kept very clean. Pool and view are gorgeous. I found the restaurant food was above average but the prices were high. They did a great job accommodating reservation times and it was a seamless process with the in room tablet. Also loved the chocolate tour and pavilion where it is held. A huge drawback was the horrible mosquito nets. We stayed in the Luxe lodge, which is a hefty price, so you’d expect not to be bitten by mosquitoes all night long. The net they use for the bed is open at the bottom and very difficult to tuck into the mattress. The Airbnb we stayed at before coming here (for a fraction of the price) had a much better net. Also, on our last day I ordered room service an hour before check out. It was just a sandwich with a side salad and fries. 50 minutes later it hadn’t arrived so we went to reception to check out and head to the airport. They called the restaurant to have it switched into a to go container but still we had to wait an additional 10 minutes. I feel like this meal should have been comped. We paid more for the meal as is normal for room service, but this service was not met. And the kicker was they provided no cutlery or napkins. When you’re paying a premium, I expect a little better service.
The hotel is exceptional! Situated in an exceptional rainforest, with Mountain views from our room. Lots of fancy snacks (truffle cookies; cocoa cookies) hot cocoa with milk and coffee options in room. Free ice provided. 10 min car ride to a gorgeous beach: Sugar Beach. Breakfast was amazing as options and freshness. We caught Valentines dinner there - and the menu was fine dining! It’s the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed in.
It’s on the expensive side, unless you find some promotion. Some of staff could be nicer I would say. Sometimes it felt you are bothering them to ask for this or that.
So relaxing sitting at the pool overlooking the pitons. Great restaurant all food made with or garnished with chocolate. Loved our open air room . Great staff a d they arrange taxis for transportation.
Spectacular, relaxing environment, full experience of all the rainforest sounds at night, best view of the Pitons and the best staff. Food top notch, luxe lodge was huge and rain shower was gorgeous.
From the moment you arrive the staff are fantastic, friendly engaging and only too happy to help or simply just stop and chat. The luxe lodge accommodation was positioned superbly for a surreal view of the Pitons whilst relaxing on your choice of chair or lounger on the spacious private balcony. The lodge was very airy & spotlessly clean and well stocked with mini fridge supplies, chocolate truffles, hot chocolat, coconut shavings, tea, coffee and an assortment of teas soft drinks and beers. There were plenty of toiletries but the most important one was the repellent freely available and restocked when needed,(or just ask housekeeping). The shower was a luxury semi outdoor experience with more than enough room for a couple. Comfortable four post bed enclosed with double lined mosquito net. A handy mosquito racquet was available for the night time visitors. We only had mosquitos, moths, crickets and gheckos visit but be prepared for the nightly routine of playing mosquito tennis in your netted bed enclosure before settling down to take in the night time chorus of wildlife to sooth you to sleep. The food was fantastic particularly if you like fish with daily offerings and variety. The restaurant always felt chilled and relaxed, never too busy and you can see your meal being crafted and created at the open view kitchen where the staff work efficiently throughout. The infinity pool and bar area once again was positioned for a superb view of the Petit Piton, Again this was never too busy and always chilled and relaxed. The Bean to Bar experience is a must if you get the opportunity, very informative and you will certainly get a workout in the arm when pounding the cocoa nibs, great fun and only a 2min walk from the hotel although we were shuttled to it not knowing how close it was. Overall this was a quality stay from start to finish in every respect. Big shout out to all the staff for helping make us feel so welcome and valued.
My partner and I stayed at Rabot Hotel for 5 nights at the end of January/start of February. This was a once in a lifetime holiday for us and it was above our usual price range. It was absolutely worth the splurge! We opted for their ‘Adventure in Paradise’ package which included so many wonderful activities and experiences, plus all-inclusive food and drink. Our package experiences and activities had been thoughtfully planned out for us (but we were free to make changes if we wished) We started our first night with a private poolside dining experience which was truly special. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a Luxe Lodge which had a picturesque view of the Petit Piton. The lodge itself was spacious, clean, well maintained and stocked with treats (truffles and mini cookies) made on site. The rooms don’t have air conditioning but the open-air layout, breeze and ceiling fan did the trick. From the moment of arrival all of the staff were helpful and friendly. Each room has a tablet which can be used to communicate with the front desk to book excursions, spa treatments and restaurant bookings. By staying at Rabot Hotel you have access to the Rabot estate and we took full advantage of the walking trails. I highly recommend the Big Nature Trail which has the most amazing view of the Pitons. As we were all-inclusive we ate at the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was plenty of choice across all the menus, and at dinner we’d often receive an amuse bouche and pre-dessert, sometimes followed by a shot of Hotel Chocolat’s very own Velvetised Cream. As with most all-inclusive offers some drinks do incur a surcharge, but they’re clearly marked in the menu and we stuck to those included. The rum punch is delicious (and strong). I'd also recommend the non-alcoholic sour orange spritz, it was so refreshing. The adventure package kept us busy and we had an outing off the hotel grounds every day. The Gros Piton hike was a highlight and due to the early start they’d packed us a breakfast and supplied us with lots of water for the steep hike. The package also included spa treatments, and we opted for deep-tissue massages. We’re not spa connoisseurs and so we were perfectly happy with our massages. The hotel doesn’t have a gym, but it does have a movement studio which has yoga mats and a good selection of kettle bells. A few reviews mention issues with mosquitoes. Perhaps we were lucky, but we only received a few bites on our legs the entire trip. Repellent spray was provided and we came prepared with our own too. The hotel is situated near a road and there were times I could hear a car passing, but it never bothered me. At night I did use ear plugs, it is a rainforest after all and the noises of night-time critters should be expected! This was supposed to be a once in a lifetime holiday but we loved it so much we'll be saving the pennies to come back!
For the most part we enjoyed our stay at the Rabot. I was a little disappointed in the location of our room as we heard the restaurant and staff most of the day/night and we had virtually no view other than of the restaurant. The staff was friendly and our room was quite nice and well kept.
Just finished a 3 night stay which was absolutely wonderful! Can’t recommend it enough! Special call-out to Cindy and Marguerite for their wonderful concierge service and also to Vernita for being a wonderful server and giving extra care for gluten free needs! The location is incredible and it was a wonderful experience for Celiacs!
We had a fantastic 3 nights here that was the perfect way to finish our 2 week honeymoon. The views from both our room and the restaurant / pool are just epic. Think I took around 50 pictures of that view throughout the day in different lights. Our room was very clean and a perfect way to spend the day relaxing. One thing we loved about staying here was the abundance of wildlife and especially the birds. Our highlight of our stay was the tree to bar chocolate tour that was excellent and so much fun. All our meals at the restaurant were lovely and very much enjoyed the additional tasters between our main courses. The steak was particularly excellent. The only slight negative aspect of staying here was the mosquitos throughout the night. The bed does have a fly net and you do get a mosquito bat that makes a very satisfying snap crackle and pop when you get one of the little bastards! Despite that we did get a few bites as we noticed there was a gap in the floor boards between the net and the bed which we suspect they weee getting in. On nights two and three we tucked the net into the mattress which was a lot more successful in keeping them out. Overall we had a great stay and would stay here again.
My wife and I had a lovely stay at Rabot Hotel. Having already done all the sites on the island, we were able to just chill out around the hotel, and enjoy it's beautiful location and amenities. We arranged to do the 'Tree to Bean to Bar' experience just before we checked in, so the timing was perfect. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Literally the worst experience in my entire life of traveling. The food is terrible, we were treated like unfairly from Hotel Manger and Security. The hotel manager, James Holah was unwilling to apologize for an incident that occurred on the property even after there was no proof of our involvement. We will not be staying at the hotel in the future and do not recommend the experience.
My partner and I recently stayed at Rabot Hotel by Hotel Chocolat, and what should have been a peaceful stay turned into a frightening and humiliating experience. After returning to our room from dinner, we heard a noise nearby. The property manager contacted us to ask whether we had noticed anything unusual. We fully cooperated and calmly explained what we heard. Shortly afterward, the manager returned with police officers. Without justification, the officers were rude, hostile, and verbally abusive toward both of us. We were spoken to aggressively, treated like suspects rather than guests, and explicitly threatened with arrest—despite having done nothing wrong. Throughout this interaction, the hotel manager stood by and made no attempt to de-escalate the situation, intervene, or advocate for us as paying guests. No apology was offered by the hotel or the police. As guests, we expect safety, professionalism, and basic respect. Instead, we were left feeling intimidated, criminalized, and unsafe in our own hotel room. This experience was deeply unsettling and entirely unacceptable. I’m sharing this publicly because guest safety and dignity should never be optional, and accountability matters.
Qamazing place and architecture
Price is a little high and not enough mosquito protection in the room
Awesome amazing experience 🥳 Treated my daughter for her birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 The only downside was the attack of the mosquitoes. It would have been a perfect bday trip, but the mosquitoes were overwhelming. We were literally in distress from the bites.
View from pool of piton was amazing, lunch food and drinks was great. also service was very good.
quite noisy to have a good night sleep, was also hot in the room.
Service and staff were amazing! The resort is beautiful with great views. Any adjustments requested were made without hesitation. Communication throughout the booking process was quick.
This was an unbelievably picturesque location in the trees with a view of the beautiful Piton mountains. I was aghast when I saw that we could see the Petit Piton from our room! And oh, the room! Spotless, free standing, naturally air conditioned they were comfortable, luxurious and beautiful! The staff was unceasingly kind and accommodating.... from the reception, to the servers, the housekeeping staff, to the drivers and tour guides. I cannot recommend enough!
The Rabot has somethings going for it - the architecture, rooms (luxe lodges), views of the petit piton and large bathrooms with rain showers are all what you expect from a 4 star hotel BUT beware the no air conditioning issue. Everything is open air - you sleep under double layered mosquito nets but you still need to spray yourself to prevent being bitten while walking on the property or eating at their hugely overpriced restaurant. The swimming pool looks great in pics but is pretty unusable with a small poolside bar. In terms of activities, the Rabot estate makes for a lovely walk as does the Chocolate experience. Other than that, all excursions require driving and are pricey. Suggest you rent a car and organize your own. The BIG issue however, is that the hotel is on the highway. There is non-stop traffic noise (including revving motorcycles at night) that do not make for a peaceful environment. Its an Ok stop for a couple of nights while your off to more vacation-suitable spots but not where I would stay for an extended period. Also beware the Sulphur fumes that can blow your way and be quite strong on occasion
We have been visiting St. Lucia for years and we always make a point of visiting the restaurant for a chocolate treat. They used to make a fabulous chocolate fondue, sadly it hasn’t been back on the menu for years. Also their hot chocolate served in a tea pot used to be fantastic. The last few years it has been disappointing. Way too sweet, real melted hot chocolate should not be overly sweet. When queried, the staff said it was the natural sweetness of the chocolate! 🙄. We would return for the chocolate and fresh fruit fondue, if they ever reinstate it.
This is, hands down, a wonderfully run and maintained hotel. And the views of the Piton are breathtaking (particularly at sunset from the infinity pool). Food is great and the chocolate tour is really worthwhile. In addition, the staff is super friendly and helpful. You will have a spectacular experience as long as you are aware that the property has zero A/C. All accommodations are open air. We found the breezes combined with fans enough for many great night's sleep (with the night sounds and, at times, rain, lulling us to sleep). That said, if you need A/C, this is NOT the place for you. If that is the case, do yourself a favor and still book the chocolate estate tour and come to the hotel for dinner (get there before sunset for dinner).
This property had an exceptional view of the Gros Piton. The restaurant is worth a visit.
No air conditioning. Lots of mosquitos.
The room was pleasant; however, the staff were not particularly friendly or accommodating. The food was merely satisfactory.
Such a beautiful place. The staff were wonderful and attentive! Krystal started off trip off at the check and couldn’t have been sweeter!!!! Antonio, Dylan, Adrien and Jordan added to the incredible hospitality and were constantly going above and beyond for us.
This hotel is exquisite extremely helpful and safe for solo travelers manager Mrs Marguerite, Cindy, Krystal, and kailanna. Very professional
Absolutely loved everything. Was really spoilt! The surroundings were magical and beautiful. It was a pinch me moment each and every encounter

Im a local who went to dinner with my husband and I must say the service was excellent. great staff very pleasant and friendly. will like to say big thank you to kesher and lovell for for making me feel comfortable making sure we were good thank you. blessings 🙌 🫶🫶 continue the good work.
Beautiful hotel in the jungle. Staff were all amazing. Some of the best food I've ever eaten.
There were a lot of mosquitos, although to be expected in the jungle! Not many other restaurants near by to mix things up. However the food was exceptional.
We just had the best girls weekend ever!! This place is the epitome of relaxation and beauty. The food was amazing (I highly recommend the grilled tomato’s and homemade English muffins and the banana bread!) … most friendly staff and just complete serenity.
The property is beautiful from the rooms, restaurant, and view. We unfortunately did not make it n time to do the chocolate tour, but we heard some great things about doing it. I give the room a 10/10 HOWEVER, we got tore up from the mosquitos. Even with the net around it the bed, spraying the net, our bodies, and using the insect balls…nothing worked! We didn’t get any sleep due to the bugs. We ate dinner across the street at Ladero, the view was amazing…service was great, food 6/10. To be honest, we ate at a restaurant off property across from Bean to Bar experience. It’s a little aqua house, that food was fabulous! The staff were super sweet and accommodating. Overall 7/10. Unfortunately, we won’t visit this hotel again due to the bugs. We were fighting for our lives, literally!
Clean room very friendly staff good food very relaxing
Very attentive, great service, great food. Thank you.
I liked the design of the property as well as the Piton in the background! The luxe room was definitely luxurious in every way. Breakfast was really delicious. The mosquitoes were troublesome but every effort was made to keep them under control including the provision of insect repellent and a zapper. I would stay there again.
The service needs to improved
I loved all the chocolate-infused meals, and the property itself was beautiful. I didn't appreciate that everything was so costly. The portions at the restaurant across the street were bigger, and the meals cost less.
All nature staff on point the food was great. Will definitely go back. Love the island
Staffs hospitality is 1st class
I think it was so beautify and scenic! Great staff and amenities in room. I enjoyed it for one night. Very fancy.
It just needs to be enclosed with ac so not so many bugs and lizards in the room part.
From the moment we arrived at reception we were treated brilliantly. The reception ladies were warm and welcoming and made us feel immediately at home even though we were only day guests. With many special thanks to Jowelle who does indeed make the best in the west when it comes to cocktails. His hospitality and prowess behind the bar are sublime and you would not be disappointed with one of his creations. His warmth and kindness really enhanced our experience and we feel really blessed to have been able to enjoy his hospitality. Cassie and Theressa were also wonderful. Cassie was a brilliant guide to helping us make good choices for lunch and our time was greatly improved because of their collective pride, diligence and exceptional customer service. The company is lucky to have such talented souls in the fold and I hope they are richly rewarded for their competence and excellence. Thank you for making our wedding anniversary truly memorable.
Hotel Chocolat owes me nothing! THE BEST RESORT, friendly staff, good food, breathtaking scenery. Will visit again!!
Great experience!
Did the chocolate making excursion. Toured the facility and saw how they create plants that make the best cocoa beans. John was a great guide. “No nibs, no chocolate!” Definitely worth the trip!
Very enjoyable 5-day stay at Rabot Hotel. The front desk team were very welcoming on arrival (it helped that they serve up a strong house rum upon check-in!). The team prepared a personalised itinerary for my stay, involving the Gros Piton climb, chocolate making tour, coco nib afternoon tea and a local rum tasting - all highly recommended! Mind the piton climb though, it is not for the faint hearted :) Special shout out to my man Romario a the bar, and to Donovan in the kitchen - be sure to ask Donovan for an 'Infinity' breakfast sandwich, beats everything else on the breakfast menu!
I absolutely loved my 4-night stay at this hotel! The service from the staff was excellent—warm, attentive, and always helpful. The restaurant team was especially brilliant, and the food was nothing short of amazing. The swimming pool offers the most breathtaking views of the Pitons—simply unforgettable. Their rum punch? Strong and delicious! The hotel also offers a variety of tours, a free daily shuttle, and complimentary yoga sessions every other day, which is perfect for travelers looking to relax or explore. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway.
I did get a few mosquito bites, but the staff kindly provided fresh aloe to help soothe them—such a thoughtful touch!
A wonderful stay! The view of the piton from the room was unforgettable The staff were friendly and super accomodating The wildlife in the rooms could take a moment to get to used to if you're not a big nature person, but I'm a city girl and I didn’t struggle much. I'd suggest bringing extra pair of ear plugs though if you’re a light sleeper as the wildlife is vibrant at night. The hotel did provide ear plugs. Thankfully i'm not too affected by noise, so I got by just fine in the comfortable and very clean bed. The food was very good but would be nice to have a few more options for the dinner menu. The breakfast menu was the best of them all. The pool was oustanding, as was the chocolate making tour!
Incredible and unforgettable views, service, and amenities. My wife and I stayed for a portion of our honeymoon. We will most definitely be back. The housekeepers were very sweet and attentive about making sure we were fresh and stocked with what we needed. Every meal at the restaurant was delicious I’m already missing the food and views. Shout out to Jensey (apologies if I’m misspelling) for friendly service and yummy cocktails at the pool bar. The cocoa farm tour was educational, beautiful, and very tasty. Don’t doubt the mosquitos! Make sure you bring bug spray or use the complimentary spray they provide.
Property was beautiful as was all the amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful. Food was good. The only drawback for us was the open air concept in the rooms. We left with a lot of bug bites! Overall though would definitely stay again, the views were unreal!
The best hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
This certainly isn't a "luxury" property as advertised. This is glamping at best, which should be made clearer in the description. If I had known that the cabins were open air we would not have booked this hotel. There is no air conditioning and the cabins are very hot for most of the day. The temperature cools down slightly at night but I barely slept and heard stray dogs fighting and barking most of the night. I was eaten alive by mosquitoes and in the morning one of my eyes was swollen shut from what I presume is a bug bite. We had a 2-night stay booked and only stayed for one night. If you know what to expect and enjoy glamping, then the property and grounds are very nice and the staff are helpful. They offer lots of activities, the only one of which we experienced was the free yoga class. The pool is nice but a bit small. The food at the restaurant is fine, nothing special. The views of the Pitons from the rooms and throughout the property are incredible. This is just not at all what we expected so we were disappointed.
A truly one-off experience hotel resort on the most famous chocolate estate in the world. First impressions were the gardens and greenery upon arrival, simply stunning. A complimentary drink awaited us at reception and we were driven to our lodge. We made a beeline to the veranda balcony as the view was like a picture postcard of the Pitons which we never tired of looking at. The bathroom was huge with its wonderful open rainshower. The four poster bed was big and comfy and there was loads of hanging space in the wardrobes. The daily complimentary chocolate truffles, cookies and salted coconut flakes were lovely and there’s a velvetiser too. The food was lovely and each course was precluded by an amuse bouche and it was amazing dining so close to the Piton. Jaw-dropping black infinity pool. Stunning walking trails on the estate and the chocolate tour is not to be missed. Exceptional service from the staff. A dream destination.
Don't go to rabot hotel restaurant if you're actually hungry. It was a suggestion from someone at our villa to go to. Here's what a $30 USD will get you a pork slider and a very small cup of bitter salad that tastes like something that came out from under my lawn mower.
Easy to find, free customer parking, great restaurant, and room service, infinity pool, with the main draw being one of the best views of the Pitons in the area. Definitely one of the most beautiful spots to have dinner at on the planet.
I was at Hotel Chocolat in search of a wellness journey and solo birthday celebration that would bring me a transformational experience and it did not disappoint. The hotel is nestled in the most beautiful, lush setting in the cliff of a mountain. It offered hiking trails, a spa, transportation to town, the beach and excursions. I enjoyed all these activities and more. The food was excellent the views to die for and a spectacular staff. In particular Rick Joseph was a fantastic driver with a very customer friendly attitude and always willing to answer questions. The Luxe rooms are something out of a fairlytale, our luxury and immersive experience. Clean, modern, perfectly decorated for the location. Yes, no AC and loud at night with the critters but that was part of the charm. This is a boutique hotel with charm to spare, great food, impeccable service and Mountain View’s you will not forget. I turned 50 on that mountain and it will live in my memory for many decades to come
Our week long stay got off on the right foot with a free upgrade to a lux lodge. It wasn't an expense I was prepared to pay beforehand but it was SO worth it in retrospect with a glorious view of the petit piton from our balcony. The room itself was huge with ample clothes storage and a large bathroom. The rain-forest shower was simply wonderful. I usually don't take well to an unfamiliar bed on the first night. The huge 4 poster was so comfortable I went out like a light. Earplugs are essential though. The nighttime chorus lasts all night and is LOUD! The WiFi is very good and can even be picked up in some of the more remote areas of the grounds. The grounds around the hotel are beautifully maintained with many of the trees and shrubs labelled so you know what is growing on them. The main area of the hotel is built on a very steep hillside. This would have been a problem for my wife who has mobility problems. However the staff were kind enough to lay on one of their taxis to take us back to the room as and when required. We were on an all inclusive package so explored the whole range of the menus for breakfast. lunch and dinner. Consequentially my waistline has suffered somewhat as a result! A particular highlight is The Magnificent Piton desert. The flambeed meringue after the sun has gone down is a light show not to be missed! The staff throughout our stay were so accommodating and bent over backwards if we need one of the menu items as gluten free or lactose free. A particular mention to Anna who was our server on several nights. She was so friendly and helpful! We booked several excursions through the hotel. Highlights included the Sapphire Falls guided walk through the rain-forest and the Soufriere Experience which took in the drive through volcano and the nearby mud baths. However, some of the best experiences are free. The Jurassic trail through the grounds of Project Chocolat is filled with photo worthy opportunities at every turn. For the Big Nature View walk you have to wait for the big money shot right at the end. The view from the top of the estate is simply breathtaking. There is a glorious view to the rain-forest below, between the two pitons and down into the Soufriere basin below. It was simply the holiday of a lifetime with so many wonderful memories. We are indebted to the staff at Rabot Hotel Chocolat who were wonderful throughout!
I never write these but I was compelled after being so shocked when our experience was mediocre at best. My guess is that people are impressed by the chocolate, and overall don’t have much of a palette. The setting is within the hotel, I would say other patrons are guests at the hotel. Very casual attire. Decor very casual, I thought. We started with breads and 3 dipping sauces which was nice. The chocolate ones were literally just a mild chocolate added to butter, and balsamic. Didn’t really have any unique flavor. The pesto was my favorite thing we ate the whole night. I ordered the shrimp cocktail which had no flavor of its own, and was smothered in mayonnaise sauce. It was also 2 pcs of medium Shrimp. We then had the mahi mahi which I kid you not, must have been steamed without salt or any preparations. It had no flavor other than fish. The tiny side of vegetables was mushy and again lacked flavor, even salt. I found the service to be subpar - we had to ask for an ice bucket for our wine. The waiters came by every 5 mins or so to clear something off our plate when we were not done. There were plenty of other seats and it wasn’t closing time so their pushiness was off putting. Oddly, I had to contact a different waiter for a glass of ice and to order a drink. They were out of the one cocktail I chose, so I got an espresso martini (the best on the island). It wasn’t terrible but def not the best on the island. The chocolate mousse dessert was delicious, no complaints. We also ordered something that was like a flambé mountain. It was literally flavorless merengue lit on fire with no instructions and a few bland sauces. I must have blew out my flame too soon bc it mostly tasted like grain alcohol and a sauce that lacked flavor. What an odd choice for a desert. The downstairs pool area looked like it would be a vibe during the day. We were honestly gobsmacked that this got such rave reviews. It was our least favorite on the island. Maybe a good value if you are all inclusive but not worth the $270ish we paid for 1 entree, 2 apps, - few drinks and dessert.
The location is beautiful, the staff seems to really please everyone and they seem happy. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel
The hotel is very beautiful, as is the surrounding scenery. However: - There were a large number (around 15) of mosquitoes trapped in the mosquito net that surrounded our bed. So don’t stay here unless you don’t mind being bitten by mosquitoes while you sleep. - When I told the staff about this, they were completely unapologetic and unsympathetic. One person told me that this is ‘normal’ since we are ‘in the tropics’. Sorry, it is not normal for mosquitoes to be trapped inside a (working) mosquito net. - The restaurant is overpriced and takes the chocolate theme way too far (they put chocolate is pretty much all the dishes).
The property provides magnificent view of the Petit Piton. The property incorporates the surrounding wildlife extremely well. Project chocolat is adjacent to the hotel where one can enjoy a unique experience with making chocolate. Breakfast was really good, especially with its fruit servings. I do think the staff can be slightly friendlier and prices can be slightly more moderate with food. Overall, had a wonderful time there.
Breakfast was good.
I usually don't complain, but this was terrible. Food options for lunch and dinner are limited and if you plan to stay more than 2 days good luck with that. The room has no A/C and no windows. It looks more like an open air hut. Hard to even explain it. That means you can hear everything outside from animal sounds to music and traffic (even if they do provide earplugs they do not help). On top of that the room is filled with mosquitos and the bed has a mosquito cover on it, plus they give you one anti mosquito spray which lasts like 3 days max for 2 adults and even with that you get badly bitten. I have the most bites in all my tropical trips, even when using 2 extra of our own bug repellent. The pool is a joke, barely fits one adult person to swim in it, while having a nice view of the Piton. I would never recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. As well the sheets didn't seem to be cleaned on a regular basis.
Breakfast was amazing,
lunch and dinner were good but not amazing and having 1 restaurant on site is not enough for over a 2 day stay. The spa services are just OK, not sure it is worth it.
The stuff and the food it was a disaster! all menu i try disaster
i like just a forest
The sense of naturism, fresh air, rainfall and warm staff made the stay Rabot extremely enjoyable and pleasant.
Property was amazing. The views! The original food/drink menu, the staff, the walking trails on site, the chocolate tour. Everything was incredible. The general manager made our stay even more amazing with a personal touch for my wife’s birthday.
We had a wonderful time here! It was lovely. Dinner service was a little slow our first night. We tried to order room service one night and give that a lot of time. The restaurant didn’t answer. We eventually had to place the order off the lunch menu because we weren’t given a dinner menu and it took at least an hour to receive it. The villas are gorgeous though and we really enjoyed our experience here.
Fantastic scenery, but the service provided could be improved especially for the cost of the rooms, and also compared to our stay at other hotels in Saint Lucia. For this reason I’m not sure it’s value for money. Would be great to have a TV in the room and AC. The resort is quite isolated, and transport to get around to other places is quite expensive. The rooms and views from the luxe cabins are incredible. The breakfast was the highlight and is exceptional. Room service & lunch is good too. For dinner chocolate in everything seems a bit overboard, but desserts were lovely.
