The host was fantastic - extremely friendly, brought us fresh fruit every morning, and helped us arrange transport and activities during our stay. The property and surrounding location was extremely nice, nestled in fruit trees and nature and a gorgeous view of the piton and ocean. Would stay again and would highly recommend!

The accommodation was absolutely amazing. I’ve traveled to many destinations, but this place ranks in my top 3 of all time. The location itself is simply perfect. It’s situated in a very quiet mountainous area, where a pleasant breeze flows throughout the entire day and night. The accommodation is designed to take full advantage of this, so there’s absolutely no need for air conditioning. Every window and door is equipped with insect screens, so you don’t have to worry about sleepless nights. The room is beautifully furnished, and the owner is extremely kind, helpful, and provides fantastic tips on where to go and what to see. We highly recommend choosing a 4x4 vehicle for your trip, just as the owner suggests. It is possible to manage without it, but it requires strong driving skills. You’ll also appreciate a 4x4 in other parts of the island. The location of the accommodation is extremely advantageous. It lies in a more humid part of the island, but thanks to the constant pleasant breeze throughout the day, you stay naturally cool — even at night, you won’t wake up feeling hot. At the same time, whenever you want, you’re just about 20 minutes from the western beaches. It’s an amazing location — you’re also very close to the tropical rainforest and nearby town. The accommodation itself is truly beautiful. The owner even brought us fresh fruit that he grows organically — completely free of charge. He is an amazing person, and we genuinely wish him all the best. In terms of value for money, this is the best accommodation we have ever visited. But what we appreciated the most was the view. Overall, the place has a truly therapeutic effect — it helps you clear your mind completely.

Beautiful view, the pictures do not do it justice. Comfy bed You need a car but lots around and plenty of things to do. Remember to have a 4x4 as the road leading to the accommodation is bumpy, it's fine and easily navigated. The host was lovely providing fresh fruit that he has grown, what a treat! He also provided lots of recommendations of places to eat. I think it's excellent value for money and is a great base to explore the area. I would highly recommend it.

The short section of road leading up to the property is a bit hairy to negotiate - a jeep is essential!

Our stay at Belle Etoile was beyond excellent. Our host Kalex went above and beyond to make sure every aspect of our time spent in this beautiful place was comfortable and stress-free. The terrace, the view, the bed.. We were blown away at every step of the tour. He showed us how to use the TV, but if you're like us you'll forget what a television is once you gaze upon Petit Piton.. Please disregard other comments about the internet. The speed was fast and the connection was reliable. Kalex was nice enough to remind us to rent a 4WD, which was not only a bonus to have when arriving at the apartment, but it was also great to have for other parts of Soufriere which are not easily accessible with a smaller vehicle. Overall exceeded expectations and we're looking forward to returning soon! Thank you Kalex!!!

I dare anyone to find something to complain about!

The property has a spectacular view of the the largest Piton and is just 15 minutes from Soufriere and beautiful beaches. It is a spacious studio with a good kitchen and large very room and the terrace with the fantastic view. Although the last 200 metres of the drive to Belle Etoile may seem daunting at first it is easy to negotiate either a 4 wheel drive. I had a Suzuki Jeep and was comfortable driving up and down it during the night as well as day

Belle Etoile has an amazing location with beautiful views from the villa. The apartments were immaculate and very comfortable. The host was very welcoming and helpful in providing suggestions and support.

The access road was treacherous so believe the host and other traveler's advice about a 4 X 4 vehicle. An AWD SUV will also work with high clearance. These roads are typical in St. Lucia and you will encounter them throughout the island if you want to explore the beautiful locations.

Belle Etoile St. Lucia is a highly-rated, secluded villa offering breathtaking views of the Pitons and its lush surroundings. We spent a good amount of time enjoying the scenery from our balcony. Calixte, the owner is exceptionally welcoming, informative, and attentive. We were gifted with fresh, organic fruits from the property's farm. The internet was reliable albeit our use case was for basic browsing and messaging only. It was a convenient location for exploring Soufriere town, and Sugar Beach and the Pitons. The apartment and relies on natural ventilation owing to its higher, cooler elevation and good cross-breeze access, so we didnt miss the A/C.

Given the location and the local roads, including the driveway, renting a 4-wheel-drive vehicle is highly recommended for ease of transportation and exploring the area. Our international data roaming reception was spotty, so I personally recommend using an offline Google map of the area while you have an internet connection.

The rooms are spacious and the whole property is perfectly maintained. The views are insane! Fantastic value for money. The villa is a 10 min drive from the village of Soufrière (supermarket, beach etc.) and you'll need a 4WD/ good SUV to hike up the last bit of the road.

The room is amazing and it has one of the best views in St Lucia, as it can be seen in the photos but in reality is much better. It is very clean and well equipped. 4x4 is a must to reach the property but is definetly worth it. Calixte is an amazing host and he can guide you to have the best experience in Soufriere area. We couldn’t have chosen a better stay in St Lucia!

The property was very clean with a really comfy bed and good cooking facilities. The pictures don’t do this place justice, the furniture is traditional and the owner has a farm on the grounds. The view is absolutely incredible and the host lives on the middle floor so is always available if you need him. The property is located up an off road narrow hill. We didn’t have a 4WD but had an SUV and was ok getting up and down just drive slow. Highly recommend a car with good traction

We had the pleasure of staying at this incredible location in St. Lucia and it exceeded our expectations! The view from our room was simply magnificent, with the iconic Petit Piton towering in front of us and sprawling, lush valleys surrounding the property. Our accommodation was equally impressive. The room was extremely spacious and luminous, boasting ample ceiling height that added to the sense of grandeur. And when we stepped out onto the generous terrace, we were treated to breathtaking views of the sunset – the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The owner's organic plantation was a delightful surprise, featuring an array of delicious fruits and herbs, including clover, grapefruit, banana, mango, avocado, pineapple and papaya. While the road leading to the property was a bit challenging for about 100m, our taller vehicle handled it with ease, thanks to a steady and cautious approach. Overall this hidden gem is a must-visit for anyone seeking a tranquil and picturesque getaway in St. Lucia. We can't wait to return!

We stayed at the Belle Etoile site from March 2nd to 9th. The site was completely enchanting and exceptional. Everything is safe. Calixte the owner was very welcoming and gave us an incredible helping hand in finding a suitcase lost at the airport, thank you again. What can we say about the view, quite exceptional.

The most beautiful, serene and idyllic place to stay. The apartment was luxurious and comfortable with all you could need. The spacious terrace was the highlight because of the stunning views in such a tranquil setting. We jumped at the chance to extend our stay from 4 to 7 days. It was simply too difficult to pull ourselves away!.. and we will definitely be returning. Calix was a charming, considerate and accomodating host. He welcomed us with a taste of the fruit from his farm, and gave tips and advice on the local area. The whole experience was a delight.

A Breathtaking Retreat with Exceptional Hospitality Belle Etoile is a stunningly crafted property offering breathtaking views of the Pitons, the sea, and lush valleys. Its serene and peaceful ambiance makes it a true retreat. The vibrant flowers that adorn the landscape attract birds and bees, creating a lively and natural haven. Calixte is an exceptional host, providing thoughtful recommendations on restaurants, snorkeling spots, and must-visit attractions. He also generously shared fresh fruits from his farm, including delicious grapefruits and bananas. We even had the pleasure of trying fruits we had never encountered before, such as golden apple, which was a delightful surprise. Belle Etoile served as the perfect base for exploring the area, with all major tourist attractions conveniently located within three miles. We will most certainly be returning!

The villa was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The highlight was definitely the stunning view—it made every morning and evening feel magical. The host was very welcoming and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed.

The view was exceptional, so much so that the thought of just setting on the porch all day, taking in the beauty, easily made sense. It was readily apparent that a brilliant mind coupled with incredible care, love, and exquisite taste were harnessed to design and construct such an amazing dwelling. The bountiful fruits and fragrant spices growing on the property further expounded the sensory overload that is Belle Etoile.

As Alaskans, experienced with “off road” driving, the final 600 feet up to Belle Etoile was just part of the property’s mystique. We can understand though that for others it could be daunting.

The views of the Petit Piton are exceptional. The location is well positioned to lots of the tourist spots in the South, most are accessible within a 15 minute car drive. The room was exceptionally clean, well appointed with everything you would need and spacious. The host was very welcoming, helpful and made our stay a pleasure, arranging our car booking for us made it completely hassle free.

I think it is worth mentioning though that it would be very difficult to travel to and from the property without a 4x4 as the climb to get there is very steep and rocky, and without a car in general it would be difficult to explore as there aren’t amenities within walking distance.

Beautiful setting with awesome views. Felt as though we were staying in a geninue local area, away from the tourists. The apartment was tastefully designed and spotlessly clean. The owner is such a friendly, interesting guy, who cannot do enough to help you. Thoroughly enjoyed a guided tour through his self sufficient farm. Shared his fresh grapefruits and homemade Sorrel drink with us. Thankyou.

Belle Etoile exceeded my expectations! The photos simply don't do this house any justice. The house is set in the hills in a quiet rural location. You can see about three other houses in the distance, apart from that it is you and the nature and the Petit Piton right in front of you! The top floor bedroom for two has the best position in the world - from your bed you have an unrestricted postcard view of the mountain and the sea behind it. The sunset was beautiful. We had a full moon during our stay and made a point of getting up at 3 am to enjoy watching the moon moving over the sea. Then the sunrise made the Piton pink... I could go on and on :-) Anyways, the room itself was huge, with tall ceilings, well equipped kitchen and large modern bathroom. One of the best features was the absence of an air conditioner. The house is cleverly designed to have plenty of shade and air movement. We had to close windows at night as it was borderline chilly. Having fresh air flowing was much more enjoyable than an air con. And last but not least, Calixte is a great host, happy to share his local knowledge and very helpful with anything you might need. Pre-arrival communication was exceptional, he really wants you to have a smooth trouble-free vacation. The house is easy to find, it's only last 100 meters or so unpaved, but well worth the climb. Big 'Thank You' Calixte!

Located in a countryside, very close to the beautiful beaches in soufiere. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. The host is lovely and goes above and beyond, he helped us with a car hire, taxi and provided recommendations

We absolutely loved the accommodations in general, the view is astounding and the property is well kept. Calixte is a gracious host, and he made us feel welcomed and at home. The bed is very comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking in.

There is nothing, in our opinion, that was inadequate or not up to par with our expectations.

The location is a little hard to get to because of the hills and the road. If you have a vehicle, I would suggest something like a 4 wheel drive. Getting drivers was a bit tricky and expensive.

Our four-night stay at Belle Etoile Villa was absolutely unforgettable! The highlight had to be the breathtaking views of the Piton right from our balcony—it felt like a dream waking up to that every morning. The apartment itself was beautifully designed, incredibly spacious, and furnished with great taste. The bed was super comfortable, making it hard to leave each morning. A special mention goes to Calixto, the host, who was warm, friendly, and always willing to help. He made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. We truly wish we had more time to stay and enjoy this little slice of paradise. One thing to note is that a 4x4 car is essential for reaching the property and exploring the surrounding area. The rugged terrain adds to the charm, but you'll need the right vehicle to get around comfortably. All in all, we couldn't recommend this place more and can't wait to return!

One of the most breathtaking places we were to. We enjoyed the great Views every morning! The host was very helpfull and helped us with anything we needed, even told us stories and explanations. The beautifull forest surrounds the place all over and you can feel the breeze. Even, we were given fresh papayas and bananas from host :). All the attractions and beaches are within 20min drive. The placed is well furbished with new furniture.

This is just Info: be aware that last 200m are steep to reach the house by car. Unpaved road. We did it with small Toyota but a car with higher clearance (e.g. Suzuki Jimmy) is recommended. 4x4 is not a must, my view.

The requirement of renting a 4-wheel drive vehicle should have been on the website. The driveway to the property was very rough.

The location is amazing! We couldn't get enough of the view. It's absolutely stunning. The property is spacious and has everything you need for a lovely break. Calixte was a great host - we loved hearing all about the fruit and veg that he grows on site and we were lucky to try the guava, bananas and papaya. Delicious! There isn't any aircon at the property but you don't need it as it's cooler up in the mountains with a lovely breeze. The bed is really comfortable and the bathroom is huge. If we return to St Lucia we would definitely return to Belle Etoile - we loved every minute of it and were sad to leave.

You will need a 4x4 to get up to the property. This wasn't at all a problem but worth mentioning if you're coming in a hire car. The road is bumpy and steep but absolutely fine (and only the last 1 minute of the drive) and our little Jimny managed fine.

The picture online can't do the view any justice. The room and the balcony have a mind blowing view of the Petit Piton, could sit there for days staring at it. Very large room, lovely mountain breeze. Great kitchen facilities . Would highly recommend.

Only the last approach of road to apartment. Steep and very rough, but we coped fine just drove slowley. We didn't have 4 x 4, but it was a jeep style automatic car so slightly higher than a standard car.

The apartment is a gem at the top of a hill, it was very quite and relaxing. You have the option to sit inside or outside to enjoy the view.

There isn’t a proper road to reach the property, so your ride there will be bumpy but that’s not different than in any other areas in Soufriere. At night time as soon as the sun is down you can hear the sound of the wind on the trees.

Belle Etoile is a pretty special place to relax and unwind.  The view from the apartment is incredible and it's a very peaceful area to stay in.  Everything in the apartment works really well and the Wifi connection is fast and reliable.  The bed is very comfy, with an amazing view to wake up to!  It was really inspiring to talk to Carl about his garden and to have him share his knowledge about the different crops he's growing.  We felt very connected to nature at Belle Etoile!  The location is also perfect for walking.  If we had longer, we would have definitely hiked some of the local trails.  Cheers for a chilled out couple of days!

Wonderful place close to all the main attractions in the south of the island! Large and comfortable room with amazing views of the Petit Piton. I loved watching sunset from my balcony. Calixte is a warm and helpful host. Would definitely recommend!

-Belle étoile benefits from a special connection to the volcano, resulting from a pure energy that is highly penetrative. -I was there for 2 weeks, i recommend any of those 3 different apartments for people looking to be inspired, replenished, and to receive grace. Or looking for truthfulness in their Life, they can experience benedictions. _This haven easily doubles as a retreat for meditation, yoga, holistic wellness, and to revitalise. -Facing the breathtaking iconic pitons, a sacred mountain, and lush greenery views all around . The main attractions of the island are within 2 miles. -Calixte the Owner grows an organic orchard with a of very large variety of fruits trees and vegetables and herb garden that surrounds the property, he is very generous in sharing all those crops. A filled fresh fruits basket awaits you on your arrival. He even concocted for me a delicious sorrel-Hibiscus juice infused with spices, all from the vast orchard surrounding the mountain here ( Calixte is well versed in fasting and offers various combinations of organic herbs and drinks extracted from his garden, depending on your need ) -Location is ideal to witness both sunrise and sunset spectacles. Effortless and prompt communication with the host during all my stay. Always eager to please, very service oriented. -The top suite was expansive, airy, very bright with a lot of windows with various beautiful views, modern with new furniture, very comfortable bed, equipped kitchen where i could cook all my meals , large shower bathroom, impeccably clean. Very large balcony to relax, serene atmosphere. Views are outstanding. -The nature of this place is one of purity and love, and for me permitted a shift in conciousness. I am very grateful for this unique experience, and would love to go back ! My interest was to recuperate ( i was exhausted on arrival ) and to meditate in pristine nature and i was overjoyed with all the gifts that i received.

Beaches are a 15 to 20 min. drive, but the mountain views there are well worth it.

Belle Etoile is a beautyfully located accomodation in Soufriere. Spacious nice room with large balkony and vieuw. Nothing is missing and host Carlixle does everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Highly recommended! The access road is a bit a challenge and only be done with a 4 wheel drive. If you don’t get it right the first time, call Carlixle!

That is a hidden gem in St Lucia. Absolutely love our stay here. Let me list a few point that we really appreciate: 1) communication with the owner prior to arrival 2) we provided an estimate arrival time and Calixte met us and help with the road to the property. 3) absolutely beautiful atmosphere and the million dollars view from the balcony! 4) spotless room, kitchen and bathroom. Like the soft 5* hotels towels. 5) fresh fruits and flowers in the room and herbs from Calixte garden - he gave us.

Calixte and Sharmaine were very welcoming, we were met at the power station down the road by Calixte, to show us the last stretch up to the villa, as it’s a bit tricky to find at first, 4x4 is advised as quite bumpy. We were supplied with plenty of fresh fruit from the garden, including the sweetest pink grapefruit we’ve ever eaten. We were staying in Villa 1, the top right apartment on the photo, with stunning views from the balcony to the jungle valley below and of the Petit Piton. The bathroom is a very spacious wet room and has a huge window also with great views. The apartment is very tastefully furnished with everything needed in the kitchen. At night we could leave all windows open with the mountain breeze giving us a comfortable rest, without having to worry about mosquitoes. Although there are mosquito nets on all the windows and sliding door to the balcony. This was great, and a welcome change to the humid days. The property has a professionally set up therapy room on the ground floor with a massage couch and chair. Sharmaine is a qualified therapist with her own business and I enjoyed the best message ever. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and had a very relaxing time, wish we could’ve stayed longer. Thank you for a great stay and your superb hospitality.

The one thing I missed was somewhere to dry our beach stuff on, but this was mentioned to the host and was promised to be provided.
