Het zwembad werd verbouwd, de waterdruk in de badkamer was matig en steeds wisselend. Ook werkte de lift niet.

The whole place falls in pieces, everything is old and worn out, the main entrance is disappointing, seems you are entering a back area of some sketchy business, construction material around, elevator out of order... the room looks old and has a very bad smell, the window cannot be locked, no soundproof, couldnt sleep all night due to the attached night club, people hanging out right under the window, cars going in and out etc Luckily it was just one night so Overall it was ok, bed was comfy and clean, but the price is not worth it. You can get much better for that price.

The room smelled of chemicals used to kill insects or disinfect the toilet bowl or urinal. The smell was very strong and could not be removed by opening the window. It was very disturbing and made it difficult for me to feel well and sleep.

Reviewed Mar 1, 2026Die Lage war sehr gut, direkt am Strand. Viele gute Restaurants sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Leider befinden sich außen am Hotel verlassene Baustellen. Der Hotelmitarbeiter erzählte uns, dass die Baufirma pleite ist. Das richtige Hotel nach einer Omanrundreise zur Entspannung vor dem Heimflug.

Reviewed Feb 24, 2026The location is excellent, and the receptionist is incredibly kind and helpful - he truly makes the hotel feel warm and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and there’s a lovely terrace on the floor where you can enjoy a coffee with a sea view - a perfect spot to relax. A good supermarket “ Al Fair “ is just a 10–15 minute walk away, and there’s a laundry service 5–7 minutes from the hotel. The area is full of restaurants and cafés, and the views nearby are absolutely breathtaking - I’ll share some photo to capture the atmosphere.
The hotel offers very good value for money and would suit most travellers. For a short stay of a few days or even a week, it is a perfectly comfortable option. The location is excellent. The only drawback was the presence of cockroaches, although the rooms are treated regularly. It would be a lovely touch if incense were burned in the hotel, as is customary in many Arab countries - it creates a distinctive atmosphere and adds a sense of warmth and authenticity.

Hotellet manglet det meste, frokost, dørhåndtak, heis og mer. Hotellet så ut som en forlatt byggeplass. Anbefaler å finne noe i Mutrah eller Old Muscat da det kun var kjøpesentre og enkle restauranter i nærheten bortsett fra The Suorce som hadde god libanesisk mat (ikke en del av hotellet). Vi måtte gå 25 min til nærmeste matbutikk for å kjøpe frokost.

Ausgesprochen günstig, mitten in einer Art Ausgehviertel, mit vielen Lokalen in der Nähe, romantische Strandpromenade. Sehr nettes, hilfsbereites Personal.Unbedingt Zimmer mit Seeblick buchen!
Die Zimmer schauen auf den Bildern eleganter aus, als sie in der Wirklichkeit sind, etwas abgewohnt.

Séjour très compliqué. Impossible d’accéder à notre chambre en soirée car serrure cassée. Attente sur une terrasse jusque vers minuit le temps que des ouvriers arrivent et finissent par réussir à casser la serrure. Nous avons exigé un remboursement total de notre chambre qui a finalement été accepté après une grosse colère de notre part. Sinon tout est cassé dans cet hôtel : porte, fenêtre, climatisation salle de bains, ascenseur, piscine. Bref à part l’emplacement idéal en bord de mer cet hôtel est à éviter. A noter que dans ce chaos le personnel fait ce qu’il peut et cela ne doit pas être simple pour eux.

Reviewed Oct 30, 2025The location right on the beach is superb! Property was very clean & very friendly staff. There is a small shopping mall right next door which has lots of cafes & eateries. You also can walk to the Royal Opera house & an upmarket mall there. Sunset on the beach is beautiful!
It is an older style property that has some renovations going on in some areas but I wasn’t bothered by any noise at all.

In our room there were cockroaches, there are no shops or a supermarkets nearby to buy some food. No bus station, it's pretty far from the city because the hotel is situated on the seacoast. We visited Muscat in August 2025. It's not the high season so there are no facilities on the beach

Reviewed Jul 28, 2025The location is very good excellent indeed few meters from the beach. There are nearby restaurants, coffee, shops, which serve very good food. A mini market also is available in the mall nearby.
The property was very badly maintained. The elevator was not working. There were some insects and I even saw a small lizard in the room. There were very strong smoking smell in the corridor Don’t expect the standard of a resort. Everything was bad apart from the location and the staff. Breakfast time start at 9 AM, which is not convenient for everyone.

I can't categorize this as a "family friendly" hotel since it has a nightclub. I requested a non-smoking room and yet, received a room reeking of cigarettes. Although I paid extra for a sea-view room, the room faced a construction site and had a shared balcony - minimizing privacy while the sea was only partially visible. The hotel is quite dated and is overdue for renovation. The paint inside the room were peeling off the wall. The elevator was out of service. Overall, very disappointed and clearly, lots of better options are available for what they charge.
