It was a very nice place, very comfortable, all facilities were good, food was excellent
Too many bugs
One of the finest hotels in Nagarkot. The view from room and the roof is spectacular. The clouds would surround the whole area and you can feel it fly inside your room. This hotel has all modern amenities. The indoor pool md jacuzzi was one of the best parts. Allowing us to enjoy our time indoors The big compound is well maintained and clean. Walking around with my kid was fun way to spend time. They also have a small indoor play zone which kept my kid occupied during the rains. There are local restaurants right outside the hotel, so if you want to taste food outside the hotel just 5 min walk will give loads of options. These small local restaurants have great views, good food and they would save you a few bucks as well.
I travelled during monsoon and no one warned us about the leeches. Both me and my toddler got beaten by leeches.. We later on got to know it's harmless but it scared us a lot.
View from the balcony Heated Jacuzzi Nice staff Delicious food

We had an amazing experience thanks to the extra courteous, helpful, gentle, and kind staff. The location is unparalleled and the hotel has character. But what made the whole stay superb were the staff and managers. We felt truly welcome every minute we were there. We’re especially thankful for all they did to accommodate our food/dietary issues. Their spa staff Kabita and Soniya were great, as was everyone at the restaurant.
Peaceful location. Room good size and nice sitting area on balcony that is not overlooked by other guests. Restaurant food was good. Staff very friendly and even arranged a cake for our wedding anniversary celebration. Like that the hotel are not using plastic water bottles and have more environmental approach to making drinking water available to guests. Had a really good back massage in the spa (therapist was able to locate muscle knots and massage appropriately).
There was a little construction work going on so some areas were inaccessible. However, it is good that the hotel are taking time to upgrade the facilities. These improvements would lead me to give a 10 start rating.
Location was very good
The property doesnt have many activities to do.
The hotel is 4 star not 5 as mentioned in booking.. the place smells bad, the room was so dirty (hair on my bed) and the bathroom is just another level of disgust. Room service called me while I’m asleep telling me that we will close now so I should order..
Everything
Mr Shankar as guest relations was kind enough to invite to sundowner tea and drinks but unfortunately there was no Sunset to see. Breakfast and dinner buffet were average with good choices but lack of taste. Only dinner dal was great. The server didn’t know how to open a sparkling wine bottle and flute glasses required for a five star service.
The rooms are old and lack sound proofing you can hear people walking around even at 1am midnight. The spa, reception and front office staff was horrible especially Ms Renu during check out made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. She refused to assist with taxi and allow us to use jacuzzi before checkout.
Location, food and staff
Rooms
The location
The hotel is cleverly designed so that the majority of rooms face out across the valley towards the Himalayas. The views are brilliant and the roof top sundowners is a nice touch.
Maybe some more knowledge and support with local walks, staff were supportive but not knowledgeable.
Incredible hospitality and views, regardless of the monsoon mists. The hospitality in the restaurant was amazing, as was the food! Highly recommend!
Monsoon period does bring mist and fog, but it will not effect the quality of the hospitality and hotel.
Nothing
Firstly why have they put a swimming pool next to the restaurant. You try and enjoy your food and all you can hear is screaming children in the pool then parents come and lean over your table while looking in the pool. Then during evening meal 4 times I was relocated by different staff saying the table isnt available. It felt like I was playing musical chairs. After that we decided to take the food to the room as we was annoyed. Next morning I was woken at 5am by staff knocking my door. This experience was terrible from start to finish
Location is really nice and the view as well! Stuff was really kind and willing to provide anything! The hotel at the main area was beautiful and the food buffet amazing!! Thank you for everything!
The price for this room could be less than that!
Location and property design
Poor service. In my 2 days stay, water supply went off 3 times and each time there wasnt any response on calling the room.service. i had to actually walk down and tell reception to resolve it. This wasn't an experience and service quality yoy expect in a 5 star.
Amazing experience. Superb food and service.
Leaving so soon. Should have stayed longer
I've stayed here twice. The facilities are great; well equipped for a relaxing weekend away. There are so many little nooks and spaces in which to enjoy a cold drink and some contemplation, surrounded by forest and mountains. The menu is diverse and delicious, although I'd be wary of the pork. The breakfast spread was also terrific. The spa is definitely worth a visit; the masseuse is very capable and I left feeling a million bucks.
The pool was cold; like ice cold. We were told this is because it's summer, although it was the same the first time I visited in November. All signs would indicate that it is meant to be heated and likely doesn't work. I also wouldn't recommend going in the wet season. While a beautiful place, the view was completely obscured by cloud and mist. I understand they also burn off the harvested wheat fields in May, which only added to the issue. We couldn't see either the sunrise or sunset, let alone the Himalayas, which is much of the reason to visit.
Food was the best. This was my second stay and the only reason because of food and their services.
Personel souriant
The rooftop, both in the morning and in the evening, had complimentary local tea and treats, and they would bbq in the evening. The restaurant was very good. The local birds at dawn make beautiful sounds.
We originally booked a triple room, but the hotel kindly upgraded us to a junior suite. It was spacious, with an amazing balcony featuring a bed and a jacuzzi. The hotel also offers a buffet, and the food was excellent. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and truly enjoyed our time at the hotel.
Food,staff, location
Swimming pool is so cold - impossible to swim in
Delicious breakfast and helpul staff
Pool very cold
Munu, sindhu didi haru and chiring dai’s service was top notch. They were very helpful and catered to us well. Food was amazing. Rooms were clean and nice. Will definitely visit again!!!
We had a wonderful stay at the resort and truly enjoyed every moment of it. The food was absolutely delicious with a great variety that made every meal satisfying. What stood out the most was the staff- they were incredibly approachable, friendly and always ready to help. Overall, it was relaxing and memorable experience, and would love to visit again. Special thanks to - Miss Sindu, Tshering, munu and Shanker.
A perfect place for getaway. With beautiful views. Rooms are thought fully decorated. Jacuzzi is a plus point.
Wonderful location with 360 view of surrounding mountains. Great feeling to be able to wake up in the morning and see the mountain glow to the first light. Environment is quiet. Air is fresh. Service is excellent. A little hiccup on the inroom service order we placed, but overall an unforgettable experience.
Absolutely Amazing, atmosphere, staff and food fantastic..highly recommended..
Staff were really helpful.
The hotel is located on a unique site, overseeing the valley and snow mountains. Room are very roomy with east facing view. You can stay at balcony and see sunrise without hassle. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is so so with little choices. The hotel furniture is worning out. Basically you have nothing to do around the hotel and can enjoy me time.
We arrived to a beautiful atmosphere very relaxed. Beautiful surrounding scenery. The hotel is clean and rooms very clean. The views from the rooms are breathtaking . The people are so welcoming especially the Ace Himalyan hotel staff members ms. Shova, ms. Sindhu , manager mr. Shankar and mr. Bishnu. My husband and I have formed friendships with the staff and with other visitors to the hotel. I would strongly recommend a visit to Nagarkot and stay at this hotel . We will definitely revisit if health permits.
The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The facilities were beautiful and peaceful, and the food was delicious! The bed was huge and comfy, and the shower worked wonderfully!
Nothing
Sostika was a very enthusiastic professional waitress who ran around at 100 miles an hour to accommodate all the guests. Why many other staff members walked around watching her? Her incredible desire to appease her guest was second to none. She was even correcting other people‘s mistakes as well as looking after 24 people in her section. Others members of staff only stood around and watched her. Not a good for the other staff members but amazing for her.
The reception is nice, the area is good to be, room is also cozy and warm!! The jacuzzi temp is so relieving. And indoor swimming pool is sth that is nice to go in!!!
Club Himalaya by Ace Hotels has always been one of my favourite getaways in the outskirts of the capital city Kathmandu. This property is worth every dime you spend here. From the staff who are well trained in hospitable approach to the tibetan infused neo-classic infrastructure to the clean, spacious and cozy rooms, to great spread of buffet, Club Himalaya never disappoints your idea of relaxation, fuelling your mental health and spirit. My only recommendation would be the indoor pool could be heated during the summer. For the rest, this is one property, I would recommend all my local as well and international network along with anyone visiting Nepal.
Great location as you see decent whole range of mountain. Newly renovated rooms,. Highly professional and humble staff members, and excellent food and service. The concept of evening sunset views with snacks, tea and campfire was top notch.. I felt I did a great job on choosing this hotel. Thank you for your service. If you want to go to Nagarkot and stay. Look no further than club Himalayan, mark my word you gonna love it.
It was warm and nice the staff were very helpful. It was my daughter’s birthday and they went out of there way to make us all feel special ❤️ thank you
The kitchen closes at 9:30pm and they don’t have a midnight menu that was a shocker for us when we called at 10:30pm and they told us everything was closed ..
The amazing views of the mountains and the sunrise and sunset. Fabulous
Nothing
View of Sunrise
From the outdoor AC, balcony was wetted throughout the night! Except that everything was extraordinary!
Returning to Club Himalaya by ACE for the second time was a great decision, especially with my family this time. The atmosphere, service, and overall experience were just as wonderful as before. I would like to especially mention Sindu from the front office (hope I got the name right) for being extremely helpful, and welcoming. Small gestures like hers truly make a big difference. A great place to stay, relax, and create beautiful memories. Will definitely be back again.
Our experience at Club Himalayan Hotel was one not to forget. It was sad to leave. Since the first step till the last was a pleasure. Service, food, location, staff, professional treatment... everything was a great joy. I would recommend Club Himalayan Hotel to everyone.
Had Good Time with Family. Good Atmosphere. Friendly Staffs. My kids enjoyed rooms, play ground, specially foods. Small Advice, regular visitors should get discount facility.
Views of the mountains, room and restaurant
Everything
Absolutely amazing!! I am so grateful for the staff of this hotel, they were so helpful and friendly. The hotel also is so beautiful with so many amenities and things to do, would love to come back soon and recommend anyone visiting Nepal to book their stay there!!
NA
The views were amazing, the room was very confortável. The hotel provides free water bottles and has a good breakfast buffet. The vegan options are limited but the staff is attentive and ready to prepare something extra if needed. There is a nice viewing platform on top of the hotel where you can lay down and enjoy the view.
The bathroom is a bit outdated and doesn't have an exhaust fan.
Club Himalaya by ACE Hotels in Nagarkot offers a luxurious and peaceful stay with stunning Himalayan views. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff are friendly, specially my college friend Prayash lama .and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxation. Highly recommended for a luxury getaway. Thank you.
Our experience as a couple was exceptional, characterized by impeccable hospitality, a delightful ambiance, and a room with an outstanding panoramic view.
We stayed at Club Himalaya for one night with a group of friends and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making our stay comfortable. The food was tasty and well prepared. Overall, it’s a nice place to relax and enjoy quality time with friends. Would definitely recommend it!
Club Himalaya, located a few kms from the capital city kathmandu, 1 hr drive through the beautiful mountain black topped road passing by pine trees and cool weather, welcomed us. Upon arrival we were greeted with warm apple tea and sweet smile and hospitality by the front desk. We were soon given a cozy room that had a breath taking himalaya view. All the staffs were friendly. The atmosphere was lively. We took an aayurvedic massage. The masseur were professional and took away all our discomfort. The hotel had an indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. It was awesome. At evening time, the sunset view from the terrace with light snacks was great. Sunrise view the very next morning was one of the best sunrise view I have ever witnessed. If going to nagarkot, you can close your eyes and choose this place. A big thumps up to the front desk. Thanks.
We just had a special weekend spent at this hotel. We have great time. All the are very welcomking and friendly desk staffs. One of our favorite hotels to enjoy our lovely vacation in Nepal. Good food, the sunset terrace view was a winner to me. I recommend this hotel for your lovely stay.
Loved the daily sunset rooftop fire and drinks with the view of the Himalayas! Also sunrise view of the mountains was beautiful and clear accept for our last day.
Amazing scene of sunrise and sunset from the hotel terrace. Very quiet location at the top of the mountain. Delicious food, and well renovated rooms.
We had a slight issue with our initial room, but the staff were very helpful and upgraded us to a nicer room to make up for the problem.
A quiet vacation out of Kathmandu with wonderful views of the mountains and sunrise is perfect way to describe club Himalaya. This is one of my favorite places at nagarkot. The food options are plenty and the service is absolutely great. The staffs are really helpful as well. They’ve renovated most of the rooms which makes them look even more aesthetic. You can view the sunrise right from your room’s balcony.
This is the first hotel I have stayed in that I never wanted to leave. The rooftop sunrise and sunset viewing area brings guests around fires in a convivial setting. The circular reception and dining area has a great atmosphere that somehow encourages a community feeling. And looking out your bedroom window to see the Himalayas is incredible. The internals of the hotel include lovely woods, ancient writings etc. Also, it's just a short walk down to the town of Nagarkot if you need to buy anything. And yes, you can see Everest from the roof (though as it's nearly 300km away, it's small)! Thoroughly recommended.
The Club Himalaya is situated in a great location with lovely views, often “above the clouds”. We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the beginning of our holiday in a junior suite. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable. The hotel has a lovely rooftop area to enjoy the sunrise and sunset over the Everest and Annapurna ranges. There is a wide choice of quality food at the buffet breakfast and dinner. The staff were excellent, being helpful, friendly and attentive. We would highly recommend the Club Himalaya Hotel.
Habitacions grans i còmodes. Bany net i espaiós. Esmorzar i sopar fantàstics. Personal molt amable.
Excellent hotel- view from the hotel rooms and terrace simply breathtaking. Room we stay was great views and everything was tip top. Breakfast was great. Room service was also good. Staffs were great specially Ms. Sindhu, she was very helpful all through our stay. I definitely recommend this hotel.
- Comfortable and well equipped rooms with fantastic views of the Himalayas from our balcony - Tea available at the evening for free at the roof for viewing sunset over the Himalayas - Helpful staff who looked after us even though we arrived very early before our booking - Breakfast and dinner buffet was good and featured a range of food
Good staffs and Managers.
The cold/hot water were not working well.
The location is great, due to being located on top of a Ridge, with views east towards the Himalayas, & west looking over the Kathmandu Valley
Good position Great buffet and breakfasts
We stayed on 5th floor one below observation deck which meant quite noisy after sunset and clearing of tables etc heard from ceiling
Wonderful stay in a beautiful hotel. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The view from the balcony was amazing! There are many lovely places to relax and admire the views. The roof terrace for sunset is perfect. All of the staff were excellent. Great hospitality. I’d highly recommend.
We had a wonderful stay, got to experience sunrise & mountain ranges, swimming pool & jacuzzi 10/10, the view from balcony was breathtaking, ambience, service & hospitality was wonderful💟
Not a 5 star hotel but Nice staff October 2025 This rates as a 5 star hotel? It is run down. It is max 3 stars and very expensive with 98 dollars a night! Tip: Nice location but definitely no 5 star. The place is old and run down. But service is good. Mr Shankar did everything to make us have a nice stay. The buffet was good. The cold section was very good! Try the Kimchi that was great!!!! Thanks to the nice staff

What guests love
Areas to consider
Cleanliness
6/10Mixed: several guests praised the well-maintained compound, but there are strong negative reports (dirty room, hair on bed, bad smell, bathroom described as 'disgusting') that pull this score down.
Service
10/10Generally excellent service reported: multiple guests praised courteous, helpful staff and managers, accommodation of dietary needs, spa staff named positively, and special arrangements (anniversary cake). Some isolated negative interactions noted, but overall service sentiment is strongly positive.
Location
10/10Very strong positives: repeatedly described as spectacular/unparalleled views, peaceful escape, balcony views, and convenient access to local restaurants and walking options—location is a standout feature.
Room Quality
7.5/10Mixed: some guests enjoyed room size and balcony seating; others reported old rooms, lack of soundproofing and specific cleanliness issues. Overall slightly above average but with notable drawbacks.
Amenities
10/10Highly praised: indoor heated pool and jacuzzi, spa with competent therapists, small indoor play zone, and environmental initiatives for water; amenities are frequently highlighted as a major plus.
Value for Money
8/10Moderately positive: guests appreciated location and food, and noted nearby cheaper dining options; some felt the property was over-positioned (4-star vs claimed 5-star) which tempers perceived value.
Food and Beverage
8.5/10Generally good: buffet breakfast frequently praised, food described as delicious and staff accommodating dietary needs; a few comments about average taste on some buffet items but overall solid F&B offering.
Overall Experience
9.6/10Overall very positive for many guests due to location, staff, amenities and views; however occasional issues (cleanliness, inconsistent staff actions, some service lapses) mean the experience is excellent for most but not flawless.
Wake to breathtaking Himalayan vistas from your private balcony in most rooms.
Indulge in the resort’s spa and therapeutic offerings for a rejuvenating escape amid tranquil surroundings.
Located 7200 feet above sea level on Windy Hill, a peaceful escape near Bhaktapur and Kathmandu.
