Great location, very comfortable bedroom.

The dining room (conservatory) felt ‘cold’ as it was quite large and there were fewer people eating in there. We may have been better eating in the bar area had that been an option.

Sehr schöne Lage, Zimmer und Räumlichkeiten. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr sehr gut !

The Hotel is in a beautiful area, there is a lot of things to see around it.

The restaurant staff. They all looked bored, not a smile on their faces. And they were young so I’m sure they’re not burned out already. For me it was annoying that they were walking between the tables during dinner time. I get it that they need to check if the guests need anything, but most of the time they were just walking up and down. One of them almost dropped the food to my lap when he put down the food in front of me.

Probably the best evening meal that we had throughout our travels in Scotland. Be congratulated. Breakfast was paid for with the room, but it was unclear if porridge was extra? A cooked breakfast was extra. Staff considerate and there to help. The receptionist was lovely. Car parking, plenty of space.

The bathrooms were antiquated and dirty. The floor was undulating! The bedroom had layers of paint around the window and window sill. Under the radiator and its surrounds were filthy. We will not be returning. Oh, and for cyclists, there is a charge of £7 to keep it safe! Be warned.

El entorno es maravilloso. Muy buena limpieza y confort de la habitación. Ducha buena y cama cómoda. Los jabones del alojamiento muy buenos. El alojamiento tiene amplio parking gratuito para huéspedes. El horario de la recepción es bastante limitado. El día de entrada no pudimos llegar antes de que terminara pero el personal de la cafetería nos atendió para que pudiéramos hacer el check inn. Echamos de menos una neverita en la habitación y el ascensor, que parece que sí que había pero que, durante nuestra estancia estuvo fuera de servicio.

El hecho de tener que subir las maletas por las escaleras por la falta de servicio del ascensor y que el personal del hotel que nos atendió en el check inn no nos informara previamente de esto ni que nos diera alguna opción/ayuda para subir las maletas hasta la habitación por las escaleras (teníamos un tercer piso).

The location of this hotel was very good. Lovely scenery. Not far from Loch Lomond so easy to get about.

The lift was a bit hit or miss. The room was an adequate size but the bathroom was too small. Food in restaurant was ok. Nothing special but it filled you up.

A charming, friendly unfussy traditional Irish lodge right on the river. Fun pub attached where you’ll meet the locals. Short walk into “town” (it’s a village) with a nod to the EXCELLENT restaurant at the nearby Courie Inn. OMG. GO.

Lots of steps and an iffy elevator but it was fine.

Breakfast was very good. Room was great. Good size and all amenities.

The history associated with this building was fascinating & I really appreciated the olde world charm, including photos from times past. The location by the river on the edge of town made for a very scenic outlook.

Pleasant stay in a busy hotel; staff helpful.

As a lone traveller, checking in 30 minutes before the kitcgen closed, I was rather lost in the throng of a bus party - so presented with limited choice for meal.

Location was good. Breakfast had plenty of options.

Staff made an error when charging our rooms. They then demanded payment when we were leaving but didn't state it was their fault. This was all done in front of other guests. Highly embarrassing and made it look like we were scamming them. Eventually after a lot of discussion with another guest butting in, they acknowledged they had made the mistake by transposing 2 numbers and undercharged £36. Their mistake! We spent more as that in one round at the bar! For the money we paid for the rooms and spent on meals and drinks they should have waved the £36 as it was their error. This in the long run will cost them more as £36, as none of the 5 of us will ever stay there again with each other or our families and we will definitely not be recommending them to friends. ALSO We booked for 5 adults and paid for 4 breakfasts as 1 had dietary issues. Then the restaurant staff insisted we had to pay for 5. We kept explaining only 4 were eating. Again done in public causing embarrassment. The spoons in the room were dirty, and one of the showers didn't work. None of these something I would have complained about if it hadn't been the rudeness of staff. WILL not be returning or recommending solely due to staff.

Beautiful position and our room had dual aspect, over the river and also towards the town. Staff friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere and enjoyable entertainment after an excellent dinner in a lovely light restaurant. Good venue all round.

Die Zimmer waren renoviert und sauber. Das Frühstück war immer frisch zubereitet und vollkommen ausreichend. Das Angebot für ein Dinner am Abend war vielfältig und super lecker. Das Hotel liegt wunderschön und lädt zum Wandern und erkunden der Umgebung ein.

Booked the annex room well in advance .. but told much later that we were upstairs in main building .. getting older and not so fit and we have a dog so it was not comfy so cut our stay short by one day. :(

Location great ! River and scenery stunning ! Clean room. The look of the main hotel is nice, the look of the restaurant, the old style lift and reception. Thank you much for the baby coat ! (Even though we refused because it was costing additionally, they gave it to us for free- grateful). Steak was well prepared I liked that, medium rare very tasty. Restaurant location with a lovely river view.

We did not stay in the main hotel, we were placed in a small annex- A small long building detached next to the hotel. Our room was at the end side of the hotel, next to a gate where they kept the dirty laundry and other supplies for the hotel. There was a ritmic noise during the day and a bit into the evening (washing machine or something). The room itself was clean however cheaply furnished, minimum economy was seen everywhere (doors made from cheap plywood, body wash for both hair and body, dim led bulbs, no mat in the toilet, cracked sink and toilet, a strange foul smell in the toilet when we came in- disappeared later, no fridge, very small 1 single window). Restaurant a bit expensive for what they serve. Starter share for 2 was a bit expensive and abundantly garnished with salad leaves to make the thin salmon on top look nicer.

Great friendly staff. Hotel on outskirts of town but very walkable to centre. We had our dog with us and a lovely big park over the road for walking her. Scottish breakfast was lovely.

The evening meal was excellent and great value. The conservatory was a beautiful venue for the meal and staff were really helpful. The breakfast was served in the bar and was good but by the time we arrived (around 8.30am) there were shortages on the buffet tables. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and our annexe room was ideal for a short stay break. Everything was very clean in the room and quiet despite the hotel being busy. We had a dog with us and all staff were very welcoming to her. There was a dog rug, water bowl and dog biscuits in the room when we arrived, which was very nice.

It would have been nice to have had the breakfast in the conservatory and the buffet to have had a greater choice of options to choose from.

The location was ideal for us and the bar and restaurant were great.

The bathroom was tiny, and the finishing touches were lacking in the room. There were stains on the wall. We were only staying one night so it didn't matter too much but took the shine off a bit!

Tutto perfetto, un posto bellissimo, ci tornerei ancora. Ho preso una stanza senza vista sul fiume ma poi ci hanno assegnato quella, davvero graziosa.

Forse solo l'uso dell'ascensore, non è accessibile a tutte le ore e in generale è chiuso al pubblico a meno di richieste esplicite e quelle scale con la moquette sono pericolose per chi non è abituato e ci sale carico di bagagli.

Only used accommodation did not have any food, from choice. Hotel was cosy as you stepped out of the lift, bound for our room, it was so welcoming. Good selection of hot drinks and choice of water, also auxiliary fan, although not needed on this occasion.

Banging doors, irritating. Probably more the fault of the clientele, but might be worth checking the door closers. Although appreciated quiet alarm buzzer when door was not closed properly.

In our room the mirror in the bathroom was totally unusable. It wasn’t bright enough to use without the mirror light on. The light in the mirror has some weird vanishing-into-the-distance effect that makes it look like your head is floating in the middle - not possible to use it. Especially as everything else here is so good I did mention it to the front desk. They said that only a few rooms had these and that they were replacing them. So I’d check whether the room you’re booking has one of these mirrors and change if necessary.

Zéér kleine kamers. Zéér krappe, te kleine douche. Slechte internetverbinding. Toilet dat niet doorliep. Foto's van kamer en hotel die niet stroken met de werkelijkheid; zo verblijft haast iedereen in het bijgebouw en niet in het getoonde hotel. We kregen een kamer met een toilet dat niet doorliep, na een heel gedoe uiteindelijk andere kamer gekregen. Er werd ons een compensatie beloofd, maar nooit meer iets over gehoord! Tot slot: men krijgt de indruk dat het management van dit hotel kan rekenen wat het wil, omdat de vraag in Ullapool groot is en het aanbod klein. Ik raad iedereen een verblijf in dit hotel af, want verhouding prijs kwaliteit klopt van geen kanten. Het ontbijt was wel bevredigend.

Overnacht in een bijgebouw op de begane grond. Zeer ruime kamer, grote badkamer met inloopdouche. Smorgens een goed ontbijt em savonds genoten van een heerlijke curry. Dat alles voor een zeer schappelijke prijs.

Joli hôtel proche rivière. Chambre avec jolie vue sur rivière d’un côté, village de l’autre. Bar sympa. Vieil ascenseur d’époque qui fonctionne ! À garder !

Salle de bain petite et rien pour poser sa trousse de toilette. Salade caesar du restaurant : salade verte et qqs croûtons. Et poulet à payer en plus. Pas de sauce caesar: pire salade caesar jamais mangée et hors de prix.

The hotel is very well located for exploring Killin and all of its attractions, which are all within walking distance. The rooms are of a decent size and relatively bright, with nice views.

One of our rooms (twin) smelled a bit musty. The showers in the rooms were very small for a fully grown adult, and the showers only came with basic shower cream, with no shampoo or conditioner. This seems a little short of the mark given the room's cost. One major complaint was the condition of the gents' toilet in reception; it was one of the smelliest I have ever encountered in developed or emerging markets. This leaves a bad impression of general hygiene in the hotel and should be sorted out, as it is undoubtedly a health hazard. It was hard to breath when using the urinal the smell was so bad. The 10.30 am check out time is too early and should be extended to 12 pm, which is more like an industry norm.

The Killin Hotel is in a lovely location. This is the second time I have stayed here and would definitely return again. It is ideal for walkers and cyclists or anyone just wanting a nice weekend away in a lovely spot. I particularly noticed the high standard of cleanliness in the room on this second visit. Top marks for the room staff. The Guinness in the bar is also excellent! Didn't eat here so cannot comment on food for dinner or breakfast.

The car parking was limited and slightly chaotic at times, but hilarious to watch from the window as long as you're not involved in the shenanigans! Ample free parking available across the road in the local community hall car park, which you can see from the hotel if your room is at the front.

The staff was open and helpful, we could check-in after default check-in hours. The elevator there was interesting, like the one on Titanic. There's a private parking available there! Breakfast was good, vegetarian options were available.

The flush was talkative 😅 The elevator seemed to be limited in operation and the floors marking was off to actual floors.

Posizionato ai bordi del fiume in un contesto quasi fiabesco. La struttura riporta ancora i segni del suo "glorioso passato", con ampi spazi funzionali anche per attivita ludiche e di intrattenimento ( musica dal vivo ), ma che in alcune parti andrebbe "rinfrescato"

I tempi e la gestione del reception (personale non sempre presente e qualche attesa in fase di check-in ) , l'ascensore con un utilizzo limitato a certi orari (non lo si puo usare la notte e la mattina presto).

Ottima punto sosta, sia per l'hotel sia per il piacevole paese di Killin. Ci è piaciuta l'atmosfera dell'albergo, antico, ma con camere ammodernate e accoglienti, una bella e luminosa sala ristorante e il bar con camino e vecchie foto. La nostra camera aveva una splendida vista sul fiume, letto ampio, bagno luminoso con una grande finestra ed era molto silenziosa. Consiglio anche la cena in hotel.

Wij reizen met 2 hondjes, dit aangegeven bij reservering en we kregen een kamer in het bijgebouw oo de begane grond en voor de honden kleedje, bakjes en wat honde koekjes. De kamer was ruim en schoon en ook het avondeten prima in orde.

El hotel estaba ubicado junto al lago. Es un hotel acogedor y tranquilo, ideal para pasar una noche y seguir con la ruta en coche hacia las highlands. Cenamos también en el hotel y calidad-precio muy buena.

The hotel was in a lovely location overlooking the mountains right in the heart of Killin village - some amenities on the doorstep. A short walk to the Falls of Dochart. The staff were lovely and helpful.

The hotel was burning hot and the main radiators in the hallways were bafflingly on despite being in the middle of August summer weather. The rooms are quite dated and tired - there were frayed and faded bits of carpet. The beds were terribly uncomfortable - hard as rocks. Our toilet made a loud mooing noise everytime it was flushed - clearly an overlooked plumbing issue so wasn’t good if you needed to use the toilet at night especially as we had a family room. There was a 100 year old lift which was quaint for the old feel aesthetic but didn’t work from the ground floor. I felt the hotel was quite overpriced for what we got.
