The check-in and check-out processes were extremely slow, and the staff support was equally disappointing. If you accidentally leave a personal belonging behind, there seems to be very little effort to help locate or investigate it—they simply tell you that it is not in the lost-and-found, without offering any further assistance.

Breakfast is included for only 2 people, even if the room is booked for 3; the third person must pay separately. The breakfast buffet is very ordinary. Extra bedding and towels come with additional charges. Bathroom amenities are inadequate, including no hair dryer. The reception area is not sufficiently air-conditioned. The building appears to need upgrading and better maintenance. A ₱2,000-per-person room deposit is collected at check-in and returned at check-out. Most importantly, these additional charges and the deposit were not clearly mentioned in my booking, which made me feel like surprise costs.

The beach is easily accessible which is good. Room is good for 3 pax, can even fit 4 pax. The ref is working properly. The check-in and check-out went well. Breakfast food choices are good. All of the staff are nice, from the guards, front desk clerks to housekeeping and maintenance, food servers and bartender at the pool area.

Aircon's temp is good but it has water leaks, goes straight down to the working desk. The bathroom does not have handle bars which is useful for PWD and the elderly guests, I hope the hotel install handle bars in the future. Hoping for an additional light at the center of the room to be able to see the floor clearly. Breakfast buffet should have a time limit per table to avoid long queues outside the restaurant.

Die Pool-Landschaft mit unmittelbarer Nähe zum Meer, war ideal zur Schwimm-Entspannung. Die Pools waren sehr sauber, dazu noch umgeben von mehreren Möglichkeiten zum Getränke-und Snackerwerb. Die Zimmer waren sauber, das Frühstück inklusiv und reichlich.

Die Klimaanlage tropfte sehr gefährlich in einen Steckdosen-Bereich.

I will NOT RECOMMEND this place. Very bad experience. The pool is dirty, many leaves and dead flies floating. This place is very poor maintenance. The bathroom is too dirty. The staff at the bar is rude and not giving receipt every time you order and pay.

Overall, our stay at Canyon Cove Hotel & Spa was pleasant. The property has a beautiful beachfront location, and we enjoyed the beach and swimming pool. Although the hotel is already a bit old and could benefit from some renovation and maintenance, it is still a nice place for a family getaway. However, our experience regarding the breakfast inclusion was very disappointing. We booked three (3) rooms for nine (9) adults and one (1) year-old child through Booking.com. During the booking process, the reservation clearly stated “Breakfast Included,” and each room was booked for three adults. Naturally, we understood this to mean that breakfast was included for all three registered guests in each room. Unfortunately, upon arriving at the restaurant the following morning, we were informed that only two guests per room were entitled to breakfast and that the third guest would need to pay an additional charge. What made the situation even more frustrating was that this was never explained during check-in. Had the front desk informed us immediately, we could have clarified the matter before breakfast. Instead, we had to approach the reception ourselves after being stopped at the restaurant. The Front Office staff advised us that the manager would only arrive at 8:00 AM, rather than contacting the manager or providing an immediate solution. This was particularly inconvenient since we were traveling with two senior citizens and one person with a disability (PWD). Our main concern is that the property’s advertisement on Booking.com is misleading. If breakfast is only included for two guests, the listing should clearly state: “Room accommodates up to 3 guests, but breakfast is included for 2 guests only.” This important limitation was not disclosed during the booking process. Instead, the reservation simply indicated three adults and breakfast included, which reasonably led us to believe that breakfast was included for all registered guests.

We really appreciated the complimentary room upgrade and were especially grateful to be assigned a room on the lower floor, as we were traveling with a senior. The staff were friendly, and overall we had a very pleasant stay.

The only issue was the breakfast inclusion, which was quite confusing. When I booked for 7 guests, the booking stated that breakfast was included, but it didn't clearly mention that it was only for two people per room. We also weren't informed about this during check-in, so we were surprised when we had to pay an extra PHP 600 for one additional person's breakfast. It would be helpful if this policy were clearly stated during the booking process and explained at check-in to avoid confusion for future guests.

The room was not too clean

We are happy with the pool and the beach.

One of the receptionists, Kirsty, was cold and felt more like speaking to an automated bot than a person. I was told that breakfast was only available for 2 people per room; this was not mentioned on the website, so 4 of us were left out of the breakfast package. When explained to the Kirsry, all we received was a repetition of their policy and no accommodation or apology for the confusion. She told us to take the complaint online. Other staff were wonderful though, namely Erika from catering who spoke with care.

We had a wonderful stay, appreciating everything from the facilities to the staff. This was our second visit, and we had the same great experience. The location is very calming, affordable, and definitely worth it.

Room had not been properly cleaned. Air-conditioning leaked condensation on to the sofa. Only had 3 towels,4 pillows for the 5 people staying. Booking was for free breakfast,but when we went for breakfast they informed us it was only for 2 people . Had to pay top price for other 3 people.

I liked that the air conditioner was very cold and kept the room comfortable throughout our stay.

The place has potential and the location is good, but there are several areas that need improvement. We were disappointed that breakfast was not included for all registered guests, and even children were charged separately. Regarding the rooms, one of the bathrooms had a clogged drain, while the other had very low water pressure. Our room also did not have a drying rack, unlike the other room we booked. In addition, the toiletries and towels provided were only enough for two people, even though our bookings were for three and four guests. The furniture and the glass surfaces, especially in the bathroom, also need more thorough cleaning. Overall, our stay was okay, but improving the room maintenance, cleanliness, and guest amenities would greatly enhance the experience.

The room was not the best. The bathroom didn’t have shower doors or a curtain for the bathtub. The bathroom in general was not in the best condition. So was the balcony door. It was not easy to close. The breakfast buffet could add more choices.

Fire dance at 8pm. The hotel is old but still good for day tour. They have a large swimming pool (not heated) but tends to get crowded in the afternoon.

Long Waiting Time during Check-in and Check-out - average waiting time is 30mins as there's always a long line. For us, checking out took almost an hour because they told us there is a missing face towel. I asked them to double-check as we didn't take any. I went with them in the room to search. The hotel manager who came with me found it was mixed with our used towels. Insufficient Towels - no available towels by the pool. After swimming (10am), we tried to exchange our towel cards but there was no available anymore. Insufficient Toiletries - We booked a family suite for 4 adults but the towels and toiletries in our room were setup for 2 adults only. I requested them to add and they complied immediately. Inconvenient Adjoining Door - at 12:30am we were chit chatting in the living room of our suite. Hotel manager knocked on our door explaining that they received complaints from the adjoined room complaining that we were noisy. We were not yelling or anything of that sort but due to the adjoining door, small noise can be heard easily to the other room. We told the manager that we were not noisy. After a minute, hotel staff knocked on our door giving us their so called 'final warning'. I found this unfair and inconvenient as it's not our fault that there is an adjoining door in our suite. Went to the lobby and talked to the manager by the name of 'Arvin'. I requested to move us to another room without adjoining door. He admitted that we were not noisy as he cannot hear us talking from the main door but there was no other available suite so he said to just keep our voice down and if he receives a complaint again from our neighbor, he would just move them to other room. He did this unwillingly. This guy needs more training. Not aligned hotel policy - booking.com mentions below 18 years old are considered children in this hotel.

It was right by the beach, so it was easy access.

My room had a bad odour in it, and the bed made a loud noise when you moved around, always waking us up. Also the breakfast was cold in the morning. Also, their description on their website matched anything that was there. It's very misleading. We did enjoy it in the end, but it has the potential to be a better place

The Beach is great

The bathroom had lot of problems , the Shower was partly not working . The water flow was weak , the doors to the balcony was jammed and hard to close as the Frame was bent. The Maintanace was called many times only to come when the manager was contacted by me.

The aircon was put over the tv and it leaked water to the point I had move the tv so it not short out. The shower in room had no place to put the soap while you showered.

It’s big and spacious. The service people were very welcoming, polite and hospitable. Breakfast is served on executive lounge were it has the best scenic view. The soap in the bathroom was surprisingly nice. It was like an oatmeal soap.

Lacks maintenance, broken blinds, tiles that are not properly installed, no shower curtains on the bath tub, about to fall off shower doors, molds in between tiles, broken cabinets, dirty storage, rusty stove, very slow internet speed almost nothing, no available channels on the television. Food is the worst! Not appetizing, not delicious not worth spending money.

The pool view was amazingly beautiful. The Fire dancing at night is my favorite and the sunset.

2 of our rooms (I booked 4) was having a door issue, it is easy to open the lock using card seems like some guests in the past did that already. Other door the indoor chain lock is dismantle, seems someone forcefully open the door in the past. Rooms light is a bit dark. Needs brighter light. Breakfast is not great. We didn’t use our second day breakfast ticket.

My daughter left her retainers in the restaurant for a good 1 hour -- we were still able to get it back as staff kept it and was mindful about not throwing it.

There was no microwave in the room. There is also NO stove yet there are pots and pan. Why have pots and pans when there is NOTHING to cook it with.

This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had. Check-in took two hours despite a full staff standing behind the desk doing very little. The room was outdated and lacked hot water. To make matters worse, the maintenance worker stepped on our clean towels with dirty shoes while failing to fix the plumbing. The "buffet" breakfast was overcrowded and unappetizing, and if you're a coffee lover, be warned: there is no espresso or specialty coffee available—only poor-quality black coffee. Between the arrogant staff and the aging facilities, this stay was a total rip-off. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

God strand, god størrelse på værelset og en virkelig god pool. Selvom der var mange mennesker var der ikke overfyldt nogen steder uden for. Personale var meget søde og hjælpsomme og de havde en god aftens buffet.

Morgenmad var skabt til Filippinere, ikke for folk fra Europa. Det var rent filippinsk Morgenmad, og ret elendig for europæere. Det var kaotiske forhold om morgenen.

The property seems to be so run down and could use some serious maintenance? I’ve never seen broken white bowls in your buffet breakfast, some missing handles? Broken white plates? The morning breakfast buffet looks chaotic and no organization. Staff at the Front Desk are not informed or aware of promotions happening within the Resort? The Fire Dance was spread out by word of mouth among guests….

Maaltijd, je kon niet op voorhand weten, is het buffet aan 800 pesos of a lacarte. Ook tijdens ontbijt en buffet, word het niet regelmatig bijgevuld, ook al ben je vroeg. Geen structuur, allen lopen door elkaar. En bij a la carte, dan is het dit hebben we niet, je moet altijd vragen over wat heb je wel. Slecht.

The Aircondition was making a loud noise and there was a leakage, there was a maintenance came to our room but they didn’t resolve the problem, and they didn’t even transfer us to another room,! We didn’t sleep well… One of the worst hotel experience!

Tv connection is not good

Staff were fantastic very nice accommodating and very pleasant. The beach was phenomenal gorgeous the pool was superior.

Pretty far from other amenities, like restaurants and nightlife, the town, etc. it was expensive. The buffet was sometimes good sometimes not good and they didn’t come and clean the rooms unless you ask them to lots of hills as well on the walk leaving the property very tiring, and they had strict policies that you cannot bring food in, and you cannot order any room You cannot order any room service because there was nothing and not that much food to get not that many selection and the worst thing you’ve things were closed at 9 o’clock

THE FOOD WAS DISCUSTING. YOU COULD NOT SEND THE KIDS ON THE JUMPING CASTLE WITHOUT PAYING. EVERYTHING WAS OVERPRICED.

Great for family, I enjoyed the pool and the beach area, food was delicious except for breakfast, the food selection was not that great but all the staffs were respectful and helpful.

I don’t like the room, it was outdated, a lot of insects and mosquitoes especially inside the bathroom. The room smells stale and old.

We love canyon cove ever since. It was my moms 1st time staying here from California so she enjoyed it and even extend 1 more night.
