Lovely little hotel. Nicely decorated and the dining room was beautifully decorated! Excellent breakfast beautifully presented.

We enjoyed and cup of tea on arrival, evening meal and breakfast the next day. The quality of the food was excellent and would certainly recommend the hotel and the Blooms tearoom for service and value for money. This was our second visit and totally satisfied each time.

A wonderful find in Emsworth. The room was very quaint and comfortable with everything you would need. Paula was marvellous, extremely friendly and helpful. Blooms restaurant on site was incredible. I would give it a 6 star rating . Sam, her staff and chef were fantastic. The best breakfasts I have ever tasted The property is very conveniently located as well with free and ample parking on site.

The reception staff were lovely really friendly, the room was quite and clean, tea and coffee in the room was topped up each morning. The cake in the cafe were wonderful

The beakfast staff the first morning were a little blunt but they were very busy. The quilt on the bed had been washed and was in big clumps so not very comfortable. The dinner menu was all to spicy for me it would have been good to have one fish option .

Breakfast was great . The room was stunning and the staff friendly. Loved the food we had pastries and the yogurt parfait which was delicious. Nice to be offered a choice of coffees.

Larger bathroom with bigger shower would have been good. Beds were quite soft.

The attached Blooms restaurant was excellent. Beautiful decor, wonderful food and attentive friendly staff. A bonus to be able to have a reasonably priced evening meal or afternoon tea on site as well as the excellent breakfast. The welcome on arrival was friendly and put us at our ease immediately. Check in was very straightforward and parking effortless. There was plenty of outdoor seating outside the property which was welcome during the heatwave.

Our room was very hot on arrival due to the exceptionally hot weather but the windows could be opened fully to get a draught through. It would have been useful to have a fan provided in the room but it was cool enough to sleep.

Everywhere was extremely hot. The beds had winter weight duvets on which made sleeping impossible.

I’ve stayed at The Emsworth before and it’s usually the first place I look for whenever I need to stay in the area. Unfortunately, this stay wasn’t a great experience and, for the price point, I really don’t think the experience matches what you’re paying. 4/10. I was staying in “The Lodge”, which is two doors down from the main hotel. This was my first gripe as breakfast is served in the main building. It meant leaving The Lodge and walking down the road in my comfies with leave-in conditioner in my hair, which isn’t exactly how I want to present myself to the general public first thing in the morning! The restaurant is now also open to the public, which I completely understand is great for the business, but it was very busy at breakfast and I felt quite self-conscious walking through like that. Breakfast looked really well presented, but unfortunately the sausages were horrible. They had a strange, grainy texture and I ended up leaving the breakfast altogether, which was disappointing. The room itself felt tired and generally uncomfortable. The carpets could do with a thorough vacuum and clean, and the hallway also looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed for a while. With the unusually hot weather we’ve been having, I think the rooms would really benefit from fixed air conditioning/heating. I had to sleep with the window open because of the heat, but being on a main road meant dealing with traffic noise throughout the night. Unfortunately, the sleep itself was probably a 2/10. I found both the mattress and pillows extremely uncomfortable. In fairness to the staff, I’m sure they may have been able to do something about the pillows had I asked. The bathroom is very basic and the shower drainage was extremely slow. By the end of my shower I was standing in a pool of my own shower water, which wasn’t particularly pleasant.

It was all wonderful - with the couple of reservations I have put below. The staff were all efficient ad delightful, dinner was very good and so was breakfast. The bedroom was not spacious but was very clean, attractive and comfortable.

I would have liked the option of a sheet and blanket or a very light weight duvet. A heavy diver was no use in the heatwave! I was fine in a quiet room but would not have liked a room at the front on the quite busy road.

It had an old fashioned feel whilst being up to date in facilities. Friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable with pink, floral dining room, bar and health facilities.

All excellent. The hotel is on a quiet attractive main road, 18 minutes walk from Emsworth High Street and restaurants so that might not suit some but out of town is alright with me. A short drive. The hotel does an evening meal as well as breakfast.

Was expecting a single room (not unlike a single room i had near Rome's railway terminal once) and was delightedly surprised to have a lovely double with a well stocked tea tray - Thank you!

Nothing comes to mind - maybe a bottle of water in the room - but if that's all i can come up with - they're doing a great job! Oh and i couldn't work out how to work the lights over the sink.

Unfortunately we visited during a heatwave so the room was hot. A room fan was provided which helped.

The staff were all helpful and friendly. Our breakfast was good with a reasonable choice of items and good service, but the evening meals were highly variable.

We were disappointed with the food in the restaurant in the evening. The standard of different dishes was variable e.g. the red curry was good but the chicken snietzel was awful. We had booked this hotel because we understood the restaurant was good quality. Double and single rooms were small.

Issue was limited bathroom and in fact at 1100 when I came back to the room to shower before my wedding there was no water. No adequate water coming out of the shower a dribble that meant i couldnt have a shower!

Have stopped at what used to called Jingles many yrs ago and always been pleased with our stay. The last stay our bedroom was quite small and the bed also, very clean and tidy and the breakfast outstanding.

The property is very nice and clean and the food is very good. It’s in a great position, out of Emsworth centre so it’s lovely and quiet yet only a mile to walk into the centre. Staff are all lovely and friendly.

The only downside really is the size of the rooms, very tiny.

Small bed, tiny room with a minuscule shower room. We aren’t big people but we could only sidle past the end of the bed, it’s impossible to stand in front of the hand basin. Woken by workmen starting noisy tools at 6.15a.m. on a Saturday within the hotel.

Een hotel wat kennelijk van dames is en ook door dames gerund wordt. Alles zeer schoon en zeer efficiënt. Wij maakten op de motoren een rondreis door Zuid Engeland en hadden een diversiteit aan overnachtingen geboekt. Deze stak er toch wel bovenuit. Mooie schone kamers en douches. Heerlijk dineren in de achtertuin en in de ochtend een ontbijt die je kiest op de menukaart en dan wordt geserveerd. Geen gegraai in bakken aan een buffet. Prima geregeld.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Excellent parking facilities. We asked for a downstairs twin room and this was very comfortable and convenient for the restaurant. No noise. We ate our evening meal and breakfast in Blooms. Again lovely friendly staff. Excellent food and very good value. Excellent breakfast that was included in the room cost. I would definitely recommend and stay here again

The staff are first class, cheerful, approachable and very helpful. Breakfast was excellent.

The ensuite was very tight with possibly the smallest shower I have used . Room 10 is disappointing as a king luxury room doesn't cut it. The room is over the reception entrance adjoining the main road - noise is an issue a window needs to be open for air flow, a room to avoid.

WOW, what a gorgeous hotel, everything was immaculate and so beautifully designed. I almost didn't have breakfast the next morning and am so glad I did! The restaurant is stunning, and the food was incredible! Will definitely stay again.

Beautifully decorated (especially the restaurant) and in a good location, very convenient. Staff were kind and polite, I received a warm welcome on arrival. I booked very last minute due to a booking mishap elsewhere (my own fault) and was accommodated quickly by the staff here.

My room was not very clean. There were cobwebs in the corners and several spiders (I quite like spiders so this was not awful for me, and the spiders were very polite and let me pick them up to put back outside) but I can see this being a big problem for other people. While the carpet itself was in good condition, the floor was not even/flat underneath and I did trip over an uneven floorboard (room 31).

Shower in the bathroom needs an available to use anti slip mat, as the shower tray does not have an integral antislip surface. I was fine, recognising the risk, but aware others might not be, in the elderly age group. Would be useful to install an automatic bathroom extractor fan to remove moisture, as otherwise you need to open the small window, which then becomes a security hazard if you forget to close it later. Bathroom floor similarly has a very smooth tiled surface which needs signage at least to advise of the risk when stepping on.

The bedroom was smaller than we expected and felt slightly cramped. The location suited us well but without a car it would be difficult to access the sea and beaches.
