The location and view from the hotel is perfect. We easily booked boat via chat on WhatsApps. The swimming pools and restaurants view are amazing. The reaction for emergency situation when we had to call to ambulance was perfect.

We were disappointed with our stay, especially considering the high price. Dinner took almost 2 hours to arrive, which was impossible with a 9-month-old baby. I had to return to the room for bedtime, and my steak was eventually delivered cold, so I couldn’t eat it. The baby cot also didn’t feel safe for a baby who can already stand. Breakfast service was very slow as well — an omelet took 30 minutes. Overall, the hotel doesn’t feel very family-friendly. The kids’ room is small with very few toys and activities. For this price level, we expected much better service and facilities for families. Our car was scratched while being parked by the hotel staff, but unfortunately, they did not take responsibility, even though we showed them exactly where it happened and had seen the valet struggling to park the car. We had insurance but even no apologies were expressed.

The find a good restaurant in the hotel area is almost impossible. This leaves you with the option of dining at the hotel at a VERY expensive costs. The hotel is missing a beach which guests can swim, causing to travel to nearby beaches.

vue exceptionnelle sur le Douro. Chambres très confortables et très bien insonorisées. petit déjeuner incroyablement riche en produits locaux de qualité. 2 belles piscines à débordement avec de belles vues sur l'environnement. qualité de la décoration intérieure. parking pratique.

Si le lieu a tous les atouts pour nous inviter à la sérénité et au repos. Ce n'et pas tout à fait ce que nous avons ressenti. il y a beaucoup de bruit dans les parties communes : Personnes qui téléphonent dans la salle du petit déjeuner et au bord de la piscine, tables bruyantes au diner, ados qui chahutent dans les ascenseurs...

Design, location, spaciousness, the staff

It would be even better if there was sun bed drinks/food service so you needn’t have to get up and go to the bar where people are eating to order a drink or a snack. Maybe some other snack options for around the pool would be good too. Especially for the children but also to satisfy adults too.

Le design, l’a végétation, le service top, le personnel impeccable digne dans 5 étoiles. Le petit déjeuner est complètement dingue, magnifique.

Le lit pour ma fille de 12 ans était un lit pliable donc pour un tel établissement cela est un peu dommage. Nous avons eu une météo exceptionnelle lors de notre séjour, mais en cas de mauvais temps, l’espace piscine intérieur et spa reste trop petit .

The views were amazing and the pools were very nice. They had a nice marshal music box in the room. The front desk staff was very good and the staff in general was very good to us.

It was overpriced for the value. It says it’s a five star hotel but everything screams 3,5 stars. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. The rooms needed repair. The light fixtures and furniture were IKEA level. The eggs at breakfast were terrible. The rest of breakfast was good. They positioned themselves as a wellness hotel but too many kids running around and making noise. It felt more like a family hotel.

Location and view of Douro river valley is amazing. Atmosphere is rather of a family hotel. Not a 5star luxury experience. Too many kids running around. Rooms are okay but small. Whole property lacks repair and maintenance. Lots of dents and scratches all around. Furnishing is not 5-star. Materials are rather cheap. Service is okay but not 5-star either. They need to train their staff to be more attentive to details and make it a unique experience. Value for money is the biggest issue. It feels way overpriced and even at breakfast (which is a buffet) they’re charging extra for some items on the menu.

The restaurants were good, the staff very friendly and warm.

The furniture and facilities showed signs of wear and tear in several areas. The carpet was stained, the walls had visible cracks, and even the indoor pool had noticeable rust marks. Overall, the hotel is in need of a refurbishment. There were also very few activities organized by the hotel, which is disappointing considering there’s not much to do in the surrounding area—especially if you’re staying for more than three nights.

The design of the hotel was stunning. The pool and outdoor area was lovely. The cleaning of the room was done to an exceptional standard and done so quickly. The hotel was the perfect place to relax.

Only small negative was the vegetarian food. The portions were small and the quality was not worth the price. We ordered a burger and it was stone cold. When we sent this back I would expect it to be free as we then ate at different times.

Desde a recepção até o atendimento da equipe, tudo foi impecável. O ambiente é acolhedor, limpo, organizado e transmite muito conforto. Fiquei realmente impressionada com a atenção aos detalhes e com o cuidado em proporcionar uma experiência agradável aos hóspedes. Foi uma experiência incrível e, sem dúvida, voltarei em uma próxima oportunidade. Parabéns a toda a equipe pelo excelente trabalho!

Apesar da variedade não é um excelente pequeno almoço. Andar pelo hotel pode ser confuso. Não existe smartTV em nenhum quarto. A direção do ar condicionado no quarto pode ser incomodativo durante a noite.

Tivemos uma estadia incrível em família no Octant Douro. Conseguimos relaxar de verdade e escapar do estresse, do barulho e das rotinas apertadas. Todas as noites assistíamos ao pôr do sol do nosso quarto; as crianças adoraram as piscinas e o passeio de barco com piquenique foi um dos pontos altos. A trilha na floresta também foi uma experiência memorável, e o café da manhã e todas as refeições foram excepcionais.

Gostei de tudo. Não tenho nenhuma queixa.

De toda a envolvência da natureza e o conforto moderno num só espaço.

Very nice hotel with a great view and fantastic rooms

staff isn’t as welcoming and friendly as I would have expected (not service oriented, stuff gets forgotten, etc.) We were quite disappointed and even decided to go outside for dinner in the end.

Limited food options - can be a problem if you.re staying more than 3 nights (as we did). The restaurant staff is helpful and friendly but disorganized while serving breakfast or lunch

Beautiful hotel. We had a river view room. The views are amazing. The room is very pretty. Large and comfortable. Beds very good. It’s a hike from the room to the hotel. Lots of stairs. The pool is very pretty with an Olympic view.

Beautiful location, wonderful views, attentive staff, exceptional breakfast, natural architecture outside and a mix of modern and nature vibe inside.

This place does not have a separate bar/ lounge. There is really not a good place to go for before or after dinner drinks. You can get drinks in the same restraint they serve breakfast but it feels more like a cafeteria than a lounge. They have several rooms that would make a great bar/lounge.

Apesar de não ser a nossa primeira estadia, foi muito positivo constatar que o hotel continua a evidenciar elevados padrões ao nível das infraestruturas, manutenção e renovação dos espaços, mantendo a qualidade e o cuidado que sempre o distinguiram. O restaurante Raiva continua a surpreender pela excelência da sua proposta gastronómica e pela consistência da experiência proporcionada. A localização é verdadeiramente privilegiada, enquadrada por uma paisagem de rara beleza, onde o ambiente envolvente convida ao descanso e à contemplação. E o Douro... permanece simplesmente mágico, tornando cada estadia memorável.

Restaurante Terra A oferta gastronómica ao jantar revelou qualidade aceitável e consistência, embora sem um elemento distintivo que a coloque ao nível da restante experiência proporcionada pelo hotel. Relativamente ao pequeno-almoço, consideramos existir margem de melhoria, em particular na diversidade da oferta quente incluída. A disponibilização de vários pratos quentes apenas mediante suplemento não nos parece totalmente alinhada com o posicionamento e categoria do hotel, sobretudo quando analisada numa perspetiva de relação qualidade-preço. Verificámos igualmente que a equipa afeta ao restaurante aparenta ser insuficiente para o volume de hóspedes presente, tanto ao pequeno-almoço como ao jantar. Em diversos momentos, tal refletiu-se em tempos de espera um pouco prolongados e numa menor capacidade de acompanhamento personalizado. Por fim, a expansão da unidade hoteleira constitui um sinal positivo da sua procura e sucesso. Contudo, importa assegurar que esse crescimento não comprometa a atenção ao detalhe, a proximidade no serviço e o nível de personalização que tradicionalmente diferenciam a experiência proporcionada pelo hotel.

Beautiful modern hotel. Wonderful stuff and amazing views across the Duoro. Large comfortable rooms. We particularly enjoyed the Raiva restaurant. Plenty of sun loungers at pool.

Food was overall great but a bit over priced, particularly for lunch at the pool bar. Also worth keeping in mind that where the hotel is on the hillside to get to pool at top is 80+ steps or quite a slow lift (didn’t detract from our stay but worth keeping in mind if you have a pram).

Nuestra experiencia en Octant Douro ha sido única. La atención personalizada desde el mismo momento de la reserva es excepcional. Cualquier tipo de pequeño detalle está a su alcance. Dejaron preparado un ramo de flores y un tentempié variado con bebidas, a petición propia, que cumplieron sobremanera las expectativas. La gestión de reservas para comidas / cenas, tratamientos de spa o actividades externas bien se merece un 10. El trato fue muy cercano. La recogida y traslado de maletas se hizo directamente desde el coche a la habitación. Aunque llegamos a altas horas de la noche, nos dieron la bienvenida con vino regional y nos enseñaron las instalaciones. Impecables. Un remanso de paz. Finalmente nos mostraron nuestra habitación. Una suite con piscina climatizada. La vista hacia el valle del Duero no tiene precio. Es indescriptible la sensación de bañarse en la piscina con tal escenario, tanto de día como de noche. Aislado. Con los sonidos de la naturaleza. El desayuno y la comida en el restaurante À Terra han sido fantásticas. Comer prácticamente a orilla de río fue único. La cena en el restaurante Raiva (en guía Michelin) fue una experiencia culinaria magnífica. Gran variedad y calidad de productos locales tratados de forma exquisita. La carta de tratamientos de spa / welness es amplia. Nos decantamos por una exfoliación corporal completa con un masaje posterior. Te transporta a otro universo. Disponen de piscina interior, baño turco, sauna y gimnasio cuidadosamente organizados. Así como dos picinas exteriores de uso las 24h. Reservamos una travesía por el río en el barco Octant I, pudiendo disfrutarlo solo para nosotros. Manejado por Fernanda y su hijo. Nos explicaron e hicieron el trayecto muy ameno. Comenzó a llover en mitad del viaje y eso le confirió un aurea melancólica. No nos arruinó la experiencia. Dar las gracias al equipo que nos atendió. Escapada totalmente excepcional y recomendable.

We’re at the end of a one night stay following a few days in Porto. The hotel location is stunning and tranquil and the architecture is lovely. The food at breakfast, dinner and lunch was also great, with moments of excellence. (And some quirks, such as the burger and chips that turned out to be burger and crisps). We appreciated the fresh fruit brought to our room and the sleep kit. The main issue here is the service/amenities which seem to be absent in places. There’s no bar except the top storey pool bar and this was shut all day on Saturday which was a shame. We texted reception as advised on arrival but it was impossible to get a drink or food brought to the pool area from the restaurant. Another guest had managed to get a room service basket brought to the pool but I’m not sure how they did that. There’s a beautiful balcony lounge area overlooking the river where we waited to check in yesterday and are waiting for a couple of hours now for our taxi after checking out. Each time it’s been a pain to get a drink here - we have to walk down to the restaurant and carry the drinks back up to the balcony lounge area in paper/plastic cups. Not very atmospheric - it feels like we’re at the airport already! If this issue could bring sorted it would feel more like a five star hotel.

건축이 멋있고 아름다운 호텔. 무엇보다 음식이 맛있어요. 2박3일 내내 호텔에서 식사를 했는데 모두 맛있었어요. 테라스가 있는 강뷰 룸을 예약하면 절대 후회하지 않을거에요. 강줄기기 시원하게 보이는 테라스가 넓고 예뻐요. 수영장이용과 사우나도 꼭 하세요~날씨가 추워서 야외 수영장을이욘 못한게 너무 아쉬워요.

Octant Douro is a gorgeous hotel. Reason for lower rating is because this gorgeous resort hotel was more dog & kid friendly then adult friendly. I came all the way from USA to vacation at this resort. There were dogs barking in common areas and in restaurant along with screaming kids running around. No staff member said a word, when we said something we were ignored. It is disgusting to allow dogs into an inside restaurant. We never went back to eat at your hotel, we ate our meals at other restaurants. SHAME ON YOU ALL TO ALLOW THIS!

Vistas espectaculares desde la habitación, cama muy cómoda. Zonas comunes muy cuidadas, varios salones para leer, relajarse y disfrutar de las vistas. Spa con agua a temperatura perfecta. Desayuno muy completo.

A comida do restaurante era muito boa, e todos os espaços ao ar livre tinha vistas muito bonitas.

A Área da piscina interior poderia ser um pouco melhor, mas de qualquer das formas tem boas condições.

Hotel muito bem localizado junto das margens do rio Douro, muito confortável, com uma arquitetura completamente virada para o rio, tirando proveito, através das suas enormes janelas, da beleza natural envolvente. O pequeno-almoço é excecional com imensa variedade e produtos de elevada qualidade. Os quartos são muito confortáveis, com uma vista incrível sobre o Douro. Especial destaque para as pequenas atenções que fazem a diferença: kit para sono tranquilo, garrafa de champanhe (por ser o nosso aniversário de casamento), garrafa de água diária, chá e biscoitos. O spa é muito bom, dispondo de sauna húmida, sauna seca e piscina interior, com um ambiente muito tranquilo.

Apenas uma pequena nota para a carta do restaurante "À Terra" que deveria ser um pouco mais variada, ou seja, incluir mais pratos. No entanto, a qualidade dos mesmos é muito boa.

A falta de um bar de acesso a piscina e SPA, o facto de pretender fazer um lanche e so ter disponivel o restaurante , que por sua vez nao tem possibilidade de sandes ou snacks so mesmo refeiçao ou pizza. E que obriga o hospede a vestir uma roupa para frequentar o restaurante quando o mesmo se encontra a relaxar nas piscinas. E o facto de o pequeno almoço ter alguns itens a serem cobrados quando fazemos uma reserva com o pequeno almoço incluido aho que se entendem que o pequeno almoço tem de ser pago mais algum valor que o cobrem no gerl. Pois o hospede vai a contar com o pequeno almoço incluido e depois é cobrado por um pedido de algo que se pressupõe que o mesmo faz parte
